  1. >Be large green alien figure who resides in Equestria
  2. >The bar was quite quiet considering it was a Friday night in Manehatten
  3. "Toss me another 'eh bartender." you say towards the mare behind the counter.
  4. >In response she nods and goes to fetch another glass for you.
  5. >You turn your attention towards the rest of the bar observing the ponies drinking.
  6. >Some mares are celebrating their friends birthday, their drunken cheers resounding throughout the small bar.
  7. >However another pony gains your attention.
  8. >An earth pony mare with a pink coat and purple mane, her scarf wrapped tightly around her neck nursing her drink seemingly wallowing in her own misery.
  9. >The bartender soon returns and hoofs you your drink and you place a few bits on the counter and drtain it quickly.
  10. >Fuck it, might as well see what that ponies up to eh?
  11. >You walk over to the small table the little pony resides and introduce yourself.
  12. "Hey there, names Anon, I saw you and I thought I might as well lend you some company."
  13. >The mare looks up and in her eyes lies an expression that you know all too well from your old world, the crushing defeat laden with dreams unaccomplished.
  14. >"I haven't seen anything like you before, what are- ah well it doesn't matter anymore."
  15. >She turns her gaze back to the still full shotglass beside the half empty glass and quickly downs it all in one gulp.
  16. >"So you here to play a trick on ol' Suri? Don't bother i'm already drunk to not feel anything."
  17. >You look on at her in confusion and sigh.
  18. "I was just here for some conversation, seemed like you were down and I thought maybe you needed to talk to someone about it."
  19. >She looks back up at you with clearly tired eyes and gives you a weak smile.
  20. >"Hah, thats a laugh, a stallion wanting to hear about a mares problems eh?" she says with a small laugh
  21. >She goes back to sipping on her drink and a frown fils her features.
  22. >"So what'd you really come here for huh? To mock a mare at her lowest point?"
  23.
  24. >You take a seat opposite her and reply.
  25. "I've seen that look on your face before, granted it was back in my own world. That's the face of someone who tried so hard but they couldn't obtain their dreams 'eh. Am I right or what?"
  26. >She lets loose a solemn chuckle filled with regret and pain.
  27. >"You don't know the half of it." She says with a grim sadness "First I tried to trick some mare who actually had some talent! Well let me tell you about that, the designs I had were awful, terrible really. I mean what was I thinking! A green and brown clothesline! I mean really!."
  28. >The mare takes another sip from her glass and continues.
  29. >"So anyway, she had this beautiful line of work, just magnificent, and I took it just like that and claimed it as mine. I told her that she got disqualified and that I won, but my assistant went behind my back and told gave her the award even after she didn't show up to recieve the reward!"
  30. >"I mean I know I didn't treat her the best, but how could she! She went behind my back and sabotaged me!"
  31. >A long silence permeates the air causing you to speak up.
  32. "So what'd you do then?"
  33. >"I entered plenty of other compitions of course. But I lost all of them, they all seemed to have someone who would stand out from the crowd pushing me into the background... So I just gave up. What's the point when you'll never be the best?"
  34. >She takes another sip of her drink and hides her head in her hooves.
  35. "Hey, hey, sad ponies are the bane of my existence, cmon why don't we talk about something else?" you say as an attempt to change the topic and brighten the mares mood.
  36. >"What's the point? It all leads back to my horrible fashion career."
  37. >Fuck you really aren't helping this pony.
  38. "Well I tell you what, I know this very fashionable pony who has a shop nearby, I dare say shes even one of the best fashionistas in all of Equestria. I could send a few positive words about you and maybe..." you leave the sentence blank to coax the mare into agreeing.
  39. >"Hah, like I'd believe a stallions lies. Next thing you know you'll be telling me about how you have a direct connection to Celestia herself!" she says mockingly.
  40. >She wouldn't believe the things you've went through after entering this land of colourful sexist ponies.
  41. "Come on, what's the worst that could happen 'eh?" you say trying to reassure the mare.
  42. >She gives only a grunt in response and you decide to bring out a small piece of paper with your number on it.
  43. "Look if you change your mind tomorrow then give me a ring, i'll hook you up with my contact." You say placing it down on the table and getting up.
  44. "I wish 'ye luck. Oh and try not to drink yourself to death 'eh?" you say as you walk toward the entrance of the small bar.
  45. >When you peer back at the mare's table the bartender has left another full glass and you merely shake your head, the small scrap of paper sitting in the middle of the table.
  46.
  47. -
  48.
  49. "Hey Rarara, want me to start the coffee machine up for you?" you ask the small ivory mare that entered the shop.
  50. >"That would be delightful Anon. If you don't mind can you put more sugar in it this time, it was much too bitter last time you made it for me. And if you would please stop calling me Rarara." She says rolling her eyes.
  51. >You could swear she mumbled something about Stallionish whimsey under her breath.
  52. "You got it Rarar- I mean boss mare!"
  53. >Getting up from your comfy office chair you set up the coffee machine and prepare Rarity's *Shudder* SUGGERED coffee.
  54. "So how's business back in Ponyville?"
  55. >She looks up from the ornate dress that she was inspecting and gives you a sweet smile.
  56.
  57. >"Its been quite wild of late, but nothing a mare like me cannot handle. How have you been recently Anon?"
  58. "Its been so-so, been drinking alot much more often, but considering pony alcohol is barely enough to scratch that itch its not too big of a deal 'eh?"
  59. >She merely shakes her head and tssks.
  60. >"A stallion like you should not be drinking alcohol at all! I mean what type of pony are you hanging around that would encourage such behaviour!" she says with a disapproving tone.
  61. "I'll be fine Rarara, pony alcohol can't match my liver's constitution. Oh I almost forgot to mention, we might have a pony give us a call. I know, I know you said to stop taking in pity cases, BUT! This mare seemed extra cute AND she had an interest in fashion!"
  62. >All she can do is roll her eyes and laugh.
  63. >"One day Anon your generosity will get the best of you as it did me."
  64. "Ah well, until that day 'eh?" you say with a little chuckle
  65. >The conversation turns back to how the girls are doing and how life in Ponyville is for quite a while until Rarity finishes her rounds at the boutique.
  66. >"I must apologize Anon, while it was  lovely talking to you I must leave, as they say fashion waits for no-pony!"
  67. "All good Rarara, you're a busy mare and all. It was nice talking to you too, I hope you can check in soon. Don't be too much of a stranger you hear?" you say as she exits through the doors of the boutique.
  68. >And as though on queue your phone starts to buzz with a familiar ring.
  69. "Hello, this is Rarara's Magnificent Manehatten Boutique how can I help?"
  70. >"Hello Anon? I'm sorry about yesterday and being so mopey, I changed my mind... I'd like some help getting into the industry, if you're still offering that is."
  71. >Oh its the mare from yesterday huh? Well you could have a little fun with her, of course you would still honour your word... But a little dinner date as payment wouldn't hurt too much right?
  72. "Oh hey, the mare I met yesterday, sure the offers still on the table BUT I forgot to mention the stipulation it comes with."
  73. >The mare on the other side sighs
  74. >"So what's the stipulation? You need a hundred bits from me? You need my Celestial security card?" she says with audible disappointment.
  75. "None of those ma'am. Just a beautiful dinner date with myself at 7 o' clock tonight at the small Prench restaurant down the road."
  76. >"Wait, really! Deal!" she say excitedly.
  77. "I'll see you there miss..."
  78. >"Polomare, Suri Polomare, trust me you won't regret it!"
  79.
  80. >>36394607
  81.
  82. >You hang up the phone with an audible click and breathe a heavy sigh.
  83. >Honestly you weren't expecting that to go so well
  84. >Even with this lands gender roles being reversed it was still quite nerve wracking.
  85. >Wait you don't even have anything nice to wear aside from this musty old suit that you came here in.
  86. >You quickly step out your chair and head over to the stallion section.
  87. >Nope that won't do.
  88. >No way i'd wear that.
  89. >Ok that'd just give the wrong vibes.
  90. >You frantically continue searching the shelves for something that might fit your build and style.
  91. >To your immense surprise you found nothing that would fit a 6.1 tall monkey man.
  92. >Pacing the room in thought you are startled when you hear the ringing of the doorbell.
  93. >A small stallion flanked by an important looking mare walk in and you immediately revert into your customer service ways.
  94. "Welcome to Rarity's Magnificent Manhattan Boutique. How may I be of assistance?"
  95. >The stallion looks around at the clothing on the shelves with a look of awe while the mare stares at you with disgust on her face.
  96. >"Honey look at all these beautiful clothes. Oh and those pants! Do you think they'd look good on me?"
  97. >Once his gaze turns to you his smile turns into a frown.
  98. >"I've heard that this boutique was supposed to be upper-class and refined..." the mare leaves a pregnant pause then continues "Not for dirty monkeys like yourself..."
  99. >"Do be a dear and get your PONY manager out here." the stallion says with venom lining his voice.
  100. >"Hopefully we can speak to a competent mare, seriously letting stallions practically run the business by themselves out here." he continues whispering to his partner.
  101. >You scowl and head into the back of the shop to look for Coco.
  102. "Coco, are you busy? We've got to real stuck up fuckers out there that won't speak to me." you call into the back rooms.
  103. >A feint rustle comes from the pile of fabric and Coco sticks her head out from under the pile seeming as though she just woke up, the groggyness lining her features.
  104. >"Oh-Oh yes, im coming just a sec Anon." she says attempting to stiffle a yawn.
  105. >Fuck must have been a big night for her what with all the fashion shows going on recently.
  106. "Would you like me to get the coffee machine started for you?" you say giving her an understanding smile.
  107. >"Yes please, oh and if you could sort those clothes out and fold them up that would be wonderful. I know how you stallions love to play with clothes." And in response all you can do is roll your eyes at the tiny horses antics.
  108.
  109. >You stare at the mountain of folded clothes and sigh.
  110. >That was ALOT of clothes.
  111. >Looking up at the clock you see that its already 3 o' clock
  112. >Shit.
  113. >You didn't even have a nice looking suit set out for you.
  114. "Hey Coco?" you say while stretching your legs and walking out into the main store.
  115. >She's sitting behind the small desk sipping on what has to be her fifth coffee by now and as you enter the room she looks up at you with tired eyes.
  116. >"What's up Anon. Did you finish folding those clothes yet?"
  117. "Yeah, yeah all done and dusted."
  118. >She breathes a sigh of relief and you continue.
  119. "So... I've got a date tonight..." you say cautiously trying to ease her into the idea.
  120. >Her eyes light up and a huge grin crosses her face.
  121. >"That's wonderful Anon!"
  122. "The only problem is... I don't have anything to wear aside from this suit. So I was thinking... Maybe... Possibly... you could make me something for tonight?"
  123. >She gets up out of her chair and as shes running into the back room she stops and looks back at you.
  124. >"Of course Anon! I know just the thing for a stallion like you! You'll just love it, not too prissy not too revealing!" after she finishes she continues running into the back room.
  125. >Right, guess you'll just have to hope she pulls through on her end.
  126.
  127. -
  128.
  129. >Be Pink, purple and blue
  130. >Well the blue isn't REALLY apart of you but still.
  131. >Oh and you're Suri now.
  132. >For the past few hours you've been trying to create the perfect dress ot really WOW Anon.
  133. >Not too showy, not too colourful.
  134. >Something plain but with enough POP to really shine through.
  135. >You pull out the small amount of fabric that you kept from all those years ago...
  136. >When you stabbed Rarity in the back. You used to think that she deserved it. That she was just asking to be stabbed in the back, as naïve as a freshly born colt.
  137. >But after that competition you started to gain a reputation as a thief, a liar and a cheat.
  138. >Ponies slowly pushed you away and even when you did start to make your own clothing lines people thought they were lacklustre, tasteless.
  139. >But that'll all change! You can make it to the top again! You don't care about who you have to step on, as long as you can get ahead...
  140. >First you'll impress Anon and his boss with your fantastic designs, then all of Manehattan!
  141. >You wonder if he'll model for you if this date goes well?
  142. >From your fuzzed memories of last night you seem to remember him looking half decent even with his alien form.
  143. >Although the lights were dim and the alcohol was really taking its toll.
  144. >Oh well it doesn't matter either way, you'll just suck it up untill you're the best
  145. >You trot over to your small fabric bin and look inside.
  146. >Hmmmm, green and red? No too Hearthswarmingy. Blue and Orange? Too much of an eyesore.
  147. >Ah a beautiful plain pink that just catches your eye, maybe if you use some of that fabric...
  148. >Yes this will do, just put this here, cut this and a little bit of this...
  149. >This is your ticket to the top you just know it.
  150.
  151. -
  152.
  153. >Be Anon once again.
  154. >Also be ROCKING a brand new suit.
  155. >Sure you were wearing a suit before, but this had a new coat and DAMN does it shine.
  156. >Like literally. The diamonds almost litter the entirety of the suit.
  157. >"So, how do you like the new suit?" Coco says with a tired smile on her face.
  158. "I like it a lot, I think my date'll love it too. Thanks Coco." you say as you lean down and give her a hug causing her to squeal a bit in surprise.
  159. >You look up from the small pony towards the clock and realise the time.
  160. "Shit Coco I gotta dash, thank you so much for this. Just take it off my pay this wee-" she interrupts you quickly with a stern tone.
  161. >"My mother wouldn't have raised a proper mare if I made you pay for that Anon, i'll just let Rarity know what it was for and i'm sure she'll understand."
  162. >Whew being the fairer sex in this pastel pony world does have its benefits.
  163. "Aw shucks, thanks Coco." You say giving her a light scratch on her ear and running out the door towards the small restaurant.
  164. >The streets are relatively empty for an evening in manehatten and you're able to dash by leaving many small equines gaping at your expertly crafted suit.
  165. >When you finally arrive you are greeted with the magnificent visage of Suri, her beautiful dress flowing with an impossible shine.
  166. >Damn you really picked the right mare.
  167. >She seems to be a bit nervous amongst the crowd and you check your small watch.
  168. >Shit you're late, poor mare's probably worried sick that you flaked on her.
  169. "Hey Suri!" You call out to her and she looks around for the one who called her name, finally she sets her eyes on you and smiles.
  170. "Sorry for making you wait darlin' just had a bit of foot-er hoof traffic."
  171. >"Its quite alright Anon, I just made it here myself."
  172. "Shall we go inside then? I've already got a window seat for us." you say with a sweeping motion towards the door of the restaurant.
  173. >"Oh, i've already reserved a spot towards the back of the restaurant." she says with an awkward chuckle and embarrassed smile.
  174. "We'll head to the back then back then yeah?" you say with a smile.
  175. >The two of you step inside and the smell of prench food wafts through the air filling your senses.
  176. >"I've never been able to eat at this restaurant before, but ive heard the food is amazing!" Suri gushes.
  177. "Neither have I, but there's a first time for everything eh?"
  178. >The two of you read your menus and decide on what to order, eventually settling on the Pari Mon Chere.
  179. >Suri flags down the waiter to take your orders and he quickly jots them down rushing away to collect more. But not before he gives a final disgusted glance towards Suri.
  180. >What's his problem anyway? Whatever.
  181. >"That's a beautiful suit that you're wearing, I must know who designed it for you." she says while taking in the splendour of your suit.
  182. "A darn sweet co-worker of mine whipped it up for me, she's quite talented as i'm sure you could tell. But you know I had to ask, who made YOUR stunning dress, the colours flow so well, it looks amazing on you."
  183. >The slight blush that fills her cheeks is hard to notice but still catches your eye.
  184. >"Thanks for your kind words, I made it myself." she says with a smile.
  185. "With talent like that i'm sure the boss'll want to have you work for her."
  186. >You take a look around the room to see ponies giving disgusted glances at you two. Wait not the two of you, just Suri.
  187. >What is with everypony today? Well fuck 'em, you've got a date with this cute mare and you're going to enjoy it.
  188. >"So tell me a little more about where you work, that is if you don't mind of course."
  189. "Ah Rarara's boutique? Not much to be said about it, we make beautiful outfits for stallions and mares. We always need more talented ponies working for us, and you seem more than capable."
  190. >She chuckles softly "Thanks for saying that really, but I don't think i'm as good as you're making me out to be."
  191. >The conversation winds down into general small talk as you wait for your food to arrive.
  192. >The waiter that took your orders soon comes out of the kitchen with what you would presume to be your food as it is covered by large silver covers.
  193. >He places them down and takes the covers off to reveal a miniscule cube of food, hardly worthy of being called that.
  194. >Suri looks down at her plate trying to hide the disappointment and you look up at the waiter with a questioning look but he has already taken off to serve other customers.
  195. "And here I was thinking i'd get to actually eat something, sorry Suri." you apologize.
  196. >"It's alright Anon, maybe its so small because all of the flavours packed in so tightly?" she says with a hopeful smile.
  197. >You grumble and stab at it with your fork, lifting it into your mouth.
  198. >Bland, tasteless gello is all you could describe it as and you struggle to not spit it out.
  199. >If Suri's expression is anything to go by then it's the same on her end too.
  200. >You flag down the waiter once again and he quickly trots over.
  201. "Is there something wrong with my food, this was horrible, now I know you ain't a chef but i'm sure you could tell that what you served us ain't the type of food a restaurant should be serving up."
  202. >"I'm sorry sir that you aren't satisfied with your food but that dish was our most esteemed dish, I could get you somethi-."
  203. >You breathe a deep sigh and look up at him.
  204. >"Look, just give me the bill."
  205. >He is slightly shocked by your words and looks over to Suri who is similarly shocked and he leans closer to you to whisper something to you.
  206. >"Sir, if this mare is making you pay for your bill, the house'll cover it. I mean she came to a date dressed in something like that!"
  207. "What are you talking about? Her dress is beautiful, you've been giving her the stink eye all night." You say almost to the point of shouting.
  208. >He backs away slightly and apologises, and at this point you have the whole restaurant looking at you.
  209. "Let's just get out of here Suri. Clearly these people have no tastebuds." you say while walking towards the entrance.
  210. >Suri follows close behind as you can feel the stares of ponies watching the two of you leave.
  211. "I'm sorry for that Suri, but he's been disrespecting you all night. Hell all of them were!" you say anger fuelling your words.
  212. >"It's alright Anon, it happens alot when I wear my dresses." she says with tears lining her eyes.
  213. "Tell you what, why don't we get back to my place and we'll pop open a few bottles, maybe even make our own Prench quisine? What do you say?"
  214. >She wipes her tears away with a small smile and nods.
  215. >"That sounds good Anon. Just lead the way."
