If "~" doesn't open the console for you, try "`", "Tab", "°", or "ñ"

The Linux executables are already included: ut2004-bin/ut2004-bin-linux-amd64.
Create a .txt file called "cdkey" with your cdkey inside (use https://keyfrag.surge.sh/ ) and place it in the "System" folder.

Another Anon's post about installing it in Linux:
"As for now I tried with the 64 bit binary and it works well.
Of course the file (ut2004-bin-linux-amd64) must be set as executable (sudo chmod +x UT2004/System/ut2004-bin-linux-amd64).
On Gentoo, it complained about libcaca not being installed, it was solved by just installing the package (sudo emerge --ask --verbose --quiet libcaca), I didn't add any USE flags to the make.conf file nor any files inside /etc/portage/package.use since it didn't give me any problems without them (USE="X ncurses opengl truetype -doc -imlib -slang -static-libs -test" ABI_X86="(64) -32 (-x32)"). It didn't complain for libstdc++ because that's a package bundled with GCC and since it's Gentoo you'll need it for an everyday use.
But, if your distro doesn't have GCC installed by default it can be installed with your package manager:

It got deprecated on Debian, you can install "libstdc++6" but I can't check if it works.

3_ How to Install the MLP Skin Pack

>extract it
>you'll notice that there will be files inside folders with names like "System", "Textures", etc.
>the name of the folder where the file is located is the same name as the folder where you should paste the file inside.
for example:
>copy the file "eg_girls.upl" from the "System" folder
>go to C:/UT2004
>go to the "System" folder
>paste it there
that's it
Go to "settings," then "player" and "Change Character" and also check your username
You can do this in-game by just pressing "Esc" and following the same steps.

4_ MLP Voice Packs

They are already included in the previous .zip file with the skins, so if you install that, you will already have the voice packs available.

You have to pick the voice you'll use manually; it doesn't change automatically with your character, it's something you can switch in-game too.
You can do it in the "player" tab, the same one where you choose your character and username.
