>Prince Anon's version of the GGGala was a bit different to Celestia's, not that anypony would remember since sunbutt hadn't been around for awhile to host one >Rather than it being an event for the rich and famous of Equestria, the royal-hosted ball was to be a 'festival to bridge all trots of life' >At least a 3rd of the attendees nowadays were simply common ponies, who could win an invitation with a plus one >The invites were sent out to towns and cities with a public lottery held to offer anypony the chance to win a ticket to the ball, their small entry fee being sent to a charitable fund >The Gala became a charitable event as well a party for ponies from all over equestria to meet, network, socialise and make some friends! >Even some creatures were invited to improve relations between ponykind and its neighbours >Its harder to want to invade a place where you've made friends after all >Rather than stand at the top of some stairs all night the Prince greets V.I.P guests personally then mingles with the guests himself once the Gala is officially opened >Half a dozen tables or more of a range of food from sugary sweets and quaint confectionaries to fine foods and choice cuts for the carni to omni vorous guests >A full band playing throughout the night in the ball room, private zones for quieter discussion away from the crowd and the entirety of the gardens opened for the attendees to explore and enjoy themselves in >the gardens decorated with bunting, banners and lights with games, kegs, blankets laid out on grassy knolls and even a full DJ set-up for anypony who wanted to dance the night away to a more lively soundtrack >The Girls couldn't be more excited >Excitement for the 'best night of the year ever' built up between them for weeks since the Prince had been kind enough to send Twilight 5 whole extra tickets after a little fiasco about who she should bring with her >Fireworks bursting in the sky with white, green and orange sparks that lit up the sky as they left their carriage announcing the opening of the ball to the city >Of course the moment they got across the drawbridge they'd cantered off in every direction to chase their ideal night >The Prince was atop the staircase leading up to the ball room, dressed and groomed to immaculate regality >Black-on-Black long coat with his favourite bronze tone in small floral patterns and swirls on the forelegs and along the trim. >He was even wearing his crown! shiny bronze hooked around his ears and holding back his swept back mane >A royal purple sash about his neck held by a bronze roundel with his emblem upon it >The prince liked bronze, it did look good on him to be fair >Twilight dashed right up to the Prince tittering about how they had so much to catch up on >"Prince Anonymous!" she tittered reaching him "Oh I'm so exicted to be here theres so much I want to catch up with you on." >"Twilight! You look lovely!" He beamed down at her >"Let me greet the guests then we can spend plenty of time together this evening." >She nodded excitedly and took her place beside the Alicorn >The guests came and shook hooves, curtsied, bowed, A yak of all things even arrived and then headbutted the prince which nearly made Twilight incinernate him on the spot but Anonymous just laughed and headbutted them back >Just as Twilight was getting a little fed-up with waiting and not having a single chance to speak to her teacher he spoke up breaking her chain of thought >"Alright! thats all the ones I had to say hi to, come one Twilight lets go enjoy ourselves." He twisted on his hooves and started trotting off, pushing her along with a wing >Twilight, as they began to walk to wherever the Prince wanted, started yammering about the past few months of friendship lessons, her research and the day-to-day of life in Ponyville since he'd sent her there >This was what she wanted, just to talk to her teacher one-on-one, he was always such a good listener and he never seemed to mind how, as much as it could embarrass her after, long she could go on for about this or that >They progress into the gardens as she struck up a story about how their dresses for tonight were designed and the lesson she'd learned from it >He held a hoof to her mouth as she was about to describe one part further >"Hear that?" he said >She pricked her ears up to listen. Music, conversation, laughter but nothing out of place >"Ooh I'd almost forgot I let Vinyl set up out here" He then pranced. Pranced, off from her to a make-shift dance floor set up out in the gardens >He came to a stop in front of the booth, huge speakers either side of the DJ's station and a screen just below where a Unicorn sat tuning and fiddling with some form of console >He whistled to her and waved a foreleg, she looked up eyes hidden by opaque glasses and gave a grin to the Prince of Equestria >Music start kicking in, speakers thumping as the beat picked up >The prince stepped back to get a better view of the screen and quickly gestured for twilight to join him >She quickly came to his side like the star pupil she was >"Alright so theres gonna be directions on the screen right there, just follow them as best you can and try to beat my score!" he explained to her as the music picked up and small glowing ponies came alive on the magic screen >Twilight had known her teacher since she was a filly and to this day he'd never failed to find ways to shock her, the nicknames like twiggle or purplesmart were enough to make her blush but the sight of the tall Alicorn dancing was a new one >He wasn't great >He wasn't bad either >But he was keeping up with the on-screen directions, doing a half-good job at matching the dance moves displayed before him >Twilight kept stumbling and missing the timing >Almost tripping over her hooves at a few points >Face flushing from the mix of embarrassment, exertion and the fact her teacher, the centuries old ruler of all Equestria was 'breaking it down 'in full view of the entire Gala with her right beside him >Its worth it she told herself, you wanted to spend time with him tonight so just go with it
