>The peak of the hive had been shattered by the blast.
>Chrysalis’s rejection of love had sent the loose energy everywhere, carving the twisted peak off of her fortress and revealing open skies.
>Thorax dropped his barrier, revealing a startled Starlight Glimmer.
>By some miracle, the cocooned prisoners in Queen Chrysalis’s throne room had not been blasted free of the mountainous structure, instead landing wetly in a scattered pattern around the ruined throne.
>Discord, powers once more freed from the throne’s aura, was the first to reach the Queen’s prized hostages.
>”Fluttershy!”
>The Draconequus scooped the obscenely gravid mare into a tight hug.
>”You’re rounder than usual, dear.”
>The buttery mare shrank into the hug, blushing.
>”It’s, um, good to see you too.”
>The Draconequus vanished with his prize in a flash, caring little for anything or anypony else present.
>Everypony else slowly pushed their way clear of the partially destroyed cocoons, emerging from piles of green slime on shaky hooves.
>It was plain to see that nearly all of the freed ponies were burdened by bellies of dreadful size.
>Each was nearly as wide as they were tall, with red-tinged girths showing readily visible marks of strain.

>The only three among them without distressingly large middles were Shining armor, Flurry Heart, and the recently captured Trixie Lulamoon.
>Celestia, Luna, Cadence, and the remaining Spirits of Harmony were not so lucky.
>Starlight approached the unsteady and bloated Twilight Sparkle, helping her to her hooves.
>”Starlight? What happened?”
>”We… defeated the changelings with no magic at all, they found a new leader, and they’re all kinda… good now.”
>Thorax nodded.
>Princess Luna waddled over to the pair, clearly unused to the the weight of her bloated self.
>”Well done, Starlight Glimmer, it seems as though you learned a great deal since we last spoke. But why are we so… swollen?”
>Before Starlight could respond, there was an ominous shifting of rubble near the edge of the clearing.
>All eyes present turned to the source, only to see Queen Chrysalis.
>She rose from beneath slabs of hive-stuff, horn alight and hissing in bestial rage.
>Starlight Glimmer, disciple of friendship, approached her with a steady hoof.
>”When Twilight and her friends defeated me, I CHOSE to run a way and seek revenge. You don’t have to. You can be the leader your subjects deserve.”
>The unicorn extended her hoof to the queen.
>Chrysalis eyed it for a moment, briefly considering the offer with watery eyes.
>She cast her gaze past Starlight and saw the grossly distended bellies on the mares behind her.
>Chrysalis’s eyes hardened and a smirk crossed her face.
>The Changeling queen slapped away the purple hoof held out to her.
>”There is no revenge you could ever conceive of that comes close to what I will exact upon YOU one day, Starlight Glimmer! Until that day, I’ll leave you with with THIS!”
>Queen Chrysalis’s horn rekindled, pulsing a sickly green wave of light over the clearing and everypony in it.
>The Broken Queen fell backwards off the edge of her hive, tumbling into a dive only to level at the ground and fly away at great speeds.

>Starlight Glimmer rushed to the edge peering over and watching Queen Chrysalis’s black silhouette shrink against the barren wastes.
>She was only shaken from her gape by an abrupt yelp from behind her.
>Turning around, Starlight Glimmer was taken aback by the sight in front of her.
>The catastrophically bloated mares were all in various states of distress.
>All of them were either sitting down or lying down, and each and every one of them was rubbing at least one hoof over their enormous midsections.
>And of them were sweating and breathless from the the new strain imposed upon them.
>Twilight Sparkle was still the closest to Starlight Glimmer, and the Unicorn rushed to her distended side.
>”Starlight… I… Ha… Ah…”
>The red-stained hue at the purple mare’s flattened navel deepened.
>Veins along the side of her prodigious girth pulsed with her hastened heartbeat.
>”Twilight?”
>”Oooooh, Starlight… I think... Ha… something’s…. Ah… Inside.”
>As the youngest alicorn spoke her belly roiled sickeningly.
>Everything inside shifted with a nauseating squelch as several visible bumps traversed her huge and round span.
>”Starlight I… ha…. I’m— AAAAAAAH!”
>Twilight Sparkle’s hooves kicked out involuntarily, and her head was thrown back in time with her scream.
>”TWILIGHT!”
>Gone was the breathy pauses in Twilight’s speech, replaced by primal fear.
>”I CAN’T! IT’S RIPPING ME APART!”
>Another roil of motion overtook her purple gravidity.
>Seeing this sudden and appalling motion, Starlight Glimmer was nearly as panicked as Twilight Sparkle.
>”Twilight, what’s happening!?” 
>”I DON’T- SOMETHING’S INSIDE! AUGH!”
>Twilight Sparkle’s enormous belly continued quaking as other yelps arose from behind her.
>To Starlight Glimmer’s horror every other widened mare was experiencing the same frightfulness as her friend.
>Celestia and Luna shuddered together in an embrace.

>Cadence was grasped firmly in the clutch of her husband.
>Rarity, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Applejack were cast about the stone floor between them in varying states of dismay and terror, their own bellies starting to thrash from the harsh movements of the content sealed within.
>Twilight Sparkle drew Starlight Glimmer into a powerful bearhug.
>”STARLIGHT! IT HURTS!”
>The raw surface of Twilight Sparkle’s tremendous belly pressed int Starlight Glimmer, and for the first time Starlight was able to feel the turmoil concealed beneath the alicorn’s rumbling swell.
>Constant rolls of motion reverberated into her through the purple membrane.
>With as wide as the alicorn had become, Starlight Glimmer could only imagine an unreasonable amount of fiends or beasts lurking within.
>All she could do was hug back.
>”Twilight, I’m sure it’s fine, we’ll fix it!”
>Twilight Sparkle started weeping.
>”STARLIGHT! PLEASE! HA- HELP! I- I- AAAAAAAAAAAGH!”
>Twilight let out an ear piercing scream as the turmoil inside her accelerated again.
>This time it proved to be too much.
>The scream drew ragged in Twilight Sparkle’s throat and she reared her head back.
>Her whipped maned accentuated both the crescendo in her howl as well as inside her belly.
>In an instant the rosy blush at her taut navel bloomed into a wide scarlet sweep.
>A dozen or more visible bumps now rampaged across her great mound, each vying to push further out than it’s brethren on every new sweep.
>It was too much for one mare to hold.
>Both Twilight Sparkle’s scream and rumbling came to a final grim conclusion.
>The air was split by a slow and wet rending as the creatures inside Twilight Sparkle finally tore free.
>All at once Twilight Sparkle’s massive middle split asunder.
>She vigorously burst into a widely splattered splay of green gel peppered with a dozen slowly standing black-shelled changelings.

>The slumping Twilight Sparkle almost bore a look of relief on her pained face.
>Starlight Glimmer looked up and over the shoulder of her exploded friend.
>Nopony else was faring better.
>The Sisters of the Sun and Moon were still locked in an embrace, their ruinously swollen middles pressing hard against each other.
>Applejack lay on her side, her boiling and overfilled body heaving up and down with every breath.
>Pinkie Pie sat twitching on her haunches, each spasm of her belly causing one or more of her legs to twitch in response.
>Rarity lay on her back, eyes crossed and mind long gone.
>It was too much for her.
>The only motion from her was that of her rapidly quaking and mountainous middle.
>Rainbow Dash, Ever the fighter, still tried to resist where all others had given up hope.
>The pegasus had fallen to her side, and was slowly dragging herself towards the cliff-like edge of the clearing.
>Last before Starlight Glimmer’s eyes was Cadence, who’s loyal husband was doing everything in his power to quell the rage in her stomach.
>It wasn’t working.
>It couldn’t.
>Princess Mi Amore Cadenza was the next to blow.
>The pink mare arched her back and the disarray of motion inside her culminated with a single long push at her navel, the massively domed middle splitting right down the center.
>It started from the center at her navel, and fountained a jet of foul green glop straight into the air.
>Rarity was the next to follow.
>She never reacted.
>The comatose white mare was simply there one moment and splattered the next.
>Her glazed eyes never registered the change between whole and ruptured.
>Applejacks fecund swell followed immediately after.
>This time it was accompanied by another ear-piercing shriek when a singular black horn pierced out from her side.
>The punctured hole split wider and wider until the creatures splilled out en mass.
>Pinkie Pie, having witnessed three of her best friends burst into writhing changeling hatchlings, was gone.

>All she could do was giggle at the ghosties.
>Her broken laughter did nothing to quell the rapidly climaxing storm in her guts.
>The twisted spawn of Chrysalis split her apart mid laugh, her colossal pink belly rending wide in an instant.
>Even the fiercely resolute Rainbow Dash was unable to stand in the wake of the changeling queen’s treachery.
>Her slow crawl towards the open sky petered out at the stresses inside her bulging middle finally overcame her.
>Thick veins pulsed under her stretched blue hide.
>Starlight couldn’t make out her final words from across the plateau, but to her chagrin she was still easily able to watch Rainbow Dash’s squirming bulge tear her apart.
>All that remained were the rapidly fading Royal Sisters.
>Princess Luna was the first to tear.
>Her widely swollen self pulsing twice before rending open.
>Luna’s mouth hung open in a silent scream.
>A teary eyed Celestia followed her to the same splattered fate a only a breath later.
>Starlight Glimmer was in shock.
>She slowly released the burst and fading form of Twilight Sparkle, staggering back on shaky hooves.
>Terrified questions raced in the unicorn’s skull 
>How evil could one being be?
>What manner of demon IS Chrysalis?
>The changeling Queen’s parting words suddenly rebounded in her head.
>”There is no revenge you could ever conceive of that comes close to what I will exact upon YOU one day, Starlight Glimmer! Until that day, I’ll leave you with with THIS!”
>What could that unholy beast possibly bring that is worse than this?
