>A quiet morning in Ponyville is suddenly interrupted as a familiar, somewhat cacophonic voice now rings through the morning air. >"Hey there, everypony! This is Lyra Heartstrings, coming to you live from Ponyville!" >Ponies cease their various activities to observe what crazy antic Lyra felt like doing today. >"Recently, a very important question has come to my attention, regarding something we mares do all the time without any real explanation." >"Today I’m on a quest to solve a seemingly impossible riddle, one that has been on my mind for AT LEAST one whole hour!" >"I'm tackling one of the greatest mysteries ponykind has never solved, up there with why nopony ever wants to share their oats with me." >Various murmurs begin stirring as ponies wonder what could have had Lyra so engaged. >"Mares of Equestria, I ask you this, why do we ooo so much?" >Silence now fills the air. >"You heard me right, I'm on a mission to figure out why it is we get so fascinated so easily." >"I know, I hear what you’re saying, ‘But Lyra, nopony has ever been able to solve that before!" >"And I say to you all that we CAN solve this puzzle, or at least I can!" >"I'll be going around asking ponies what exactly drives them to want to ooo so often, and get to the bottom of this mystery." >"Anypony who's interested in being asked, just step forward!" >The crowd of ponies in the square simply stare at her, unsure at how to respond. >"Ooookay, guess we're feeling a bit shy this morning, not a problem at all!" >"I'll just go looking around for any willing volunteers, and don't worry, I won't stop until I get the answers we need!" >On the side, Bon Bon and Linky observe the scene with varying degrees of interest. >>"Hey Bon, what's up with Lyra caring about why we go ooo all of a sudden?" >>"I don't have a clue, I guess it just caught her attention when I did it after seeing a new candy being sold at the market." >>”You sure letting Lyra pretend to be a detective/reporter is a good idea?” >>"As long as she’s getting some air and not wrecking the home while I’m gone, I don’t care what she does.” >>”Fair enough.” >The two go on their way, while Lyra embarks on her journey to answer a question that few had ever wondered about. >Passing by Cafe Hay, a perfect first volunteer catches Lyra's attention. >"Cherry Berry! Just the mare I wanted to see!" >The infamously grumpy mare barely makes an effort to hide her annoyance at having her lunch interrupted. >>"Oh joy, it's Lyra, what do you want?" >Completely oblivious to her annoyed tone, Lyra gets right down to business. >"I need your help, I'm conducting an investigation on a really important topic, and I think you're the best mare around to help me solve it." >>"Is that so?" >"You betcha, I can't think of anypony else who'd be a better interviewee on this topic." >"So you aren't busy right? Cause this is a pressing matter we need to solve RIGHT NOW!" >>"Oh of course not, it's not like I was having lunch or anyth-" >"Good to hear it, and don't worry, I'll make it quick!" >>"Ugh, fine, let's just get this over." >Lyra retrieves her microphone from her saddlebag with a flourish, attempting to impress the clearly uninterested grumpy pone. >”Everypony, let me to introduce you to Ponyville’s most famous hot air balloonist and local soup enthusiast, Cherry Berry!” >Cherry sighs heavily. >>”Why did I agree to this?” >”Easy, you’ve got that pioneering spirit like I do, that sense of discovery, and the curiosity is just eating you up!” >>”Yeah, sure, anyways you said you’d keep this interview short so just ask me what’s on your mind already.” >”Ok ok, so tell me, Cherry, you know all about how we ooo, right?” >>”Yeah, what about it?” >Lyra approaches the grumpy mare and stares deeply into her eyes. >>”What reeeeeally gets you to want to ooo at things?” >Cherry doesn’t flinch an inch. >>”I don’t know, I’m a mare it’s just what I do, we all go ooo for no real reason sometimes.” >”Yeah, but you’re famous for your ooos, ponies worldwide know all about them!” >”We even have this picture of you that’s used as a reaction image!” >>”I don’t ‘ooo’ anymore than… wait, you have a what?” >From her saddlebag, Lyra levitates a small picture of Cherry making the all too familiar expression. >"See this? Out of all the ooos, yours specifically is the one that most commonly shows when somepony wants to express that something is neat or interesting." >A luminescent blush appears on Cherry’s face. >>”W-what? I didn’t give permission for my face to be used like that, and why me?” >”Because you look really cute in it, duh!” >>”Cute?! What do you… no, I mean…” >Cherry's sudden loss of rigidity surprises Lyra. >”Uh, you ok there?” >>”Never you mind, interview over, I have to go.” >She gallops away from the restaurant, attempting to hide her now noticeable blush and smile. >”Hey! You didn’t answer the question!” >But the surprisingly bashful pony was long gone. >"Huh, that was pretty weird." >”Well great, guess I’ll have to find some other pony to interview, I wonder who I should ask next…”
