>A year passed as you accepted a deal to change your human life and start a new one as an equine. >You didn't die or had a cruel destiny accident, it was as if you were in a dream, a dream where you felt light as a feather and awestruck by the view around you. >It was as if you were completely in a fantasy world. >The male voice of someone, whose silhouette you could see but couldn't make out what it was, talked to you as if he was a personal friend. >His voice echoed around the place as if you were in a closed room. >You thought it sounded like God himself was talking to you, or someone as powerful as him. >The voice started talking about this magical place where opportunities and adventures are endless, a fresh start anew. >Equestria. >He explained everything you needed to know about this world, and, as he continued talking about the land of "Equestria", you felt an air of fulfillment, as if you needed this for so long. >A place where people don't fight for ridiculous reasons such as political or social, a place where friendship was all you needed. >You felt comfortable and relaxed as the voice continued. >He gave you a choice, to choose between the three pony races: Earth, Pegasi, and Unicorn. The explanation was pretty straightforward. >Earth ponies are strong but lack the dexterity Pegasi have and the intelligence Unicorns show. >Pegasi, besides the obvious dexterity mentioned before, can roam the skies free. Every man's dream come true. >And lastly, Unicorns, which possess magic with a lot of possibilities at their disposal, but, were the weakest of the three in terms of strength. >Now, besides the attempts of puns and... random conversations this God was throwing at you, you already determined your choice. "Make me a Unicorn." >With a reassuring voice, the God nodded and snapped what you could only think were his fingers. >"So be it, you'll become a Unicorn. But alas, I forgot to mention an extra detail in our arrangement." >The God began explaining that you would live in the city of Canterlot, which was the heart of the city and you would be studying in some school for gifted unicorns to help your learning and grip on magic. >The catch was that you were going to regress in age, as in, starting as a kid. >You did not mind such a little detail, it was for the best and you could learn and live more to know more about this world. >Excitment wasn't enough to describe how you felt. >Before the dream was over, he said his last words to you before bidding you farewell. >"And I hope you don't mind your memories from Earth starting to... fade from time to time, the less you expect it, you will forget everything about this life and fully become a pony." God took a pause and continued. "Well, even this you're going to forget, so write it down if you must, but I doubt in the future you'll understand your diary." >With a malicious chuckle, God disappeared and you closed your eyes. >Next thing you knew, you were waking up from a bed, starting as a Unicorn as God said so and beginning anew. "What I wrote about in this diary is true, even if I forget my past and memories, remember who you were. This isn't fiction, this was real." >You place down your pencil with the help of your magic and sigh in relief. >Another day that apparently, you haven't forgotten anything yet. >It's nostalgic, thinking back then, you didn't think that much about your decision. >Family, friends, job... you didn't feel bad about losing everything and starting all over again. >Why? ...you don't have a clear idea as to why. >But this God only left you with one thing in this world that you will always remember. >"Anon?"A voice from outside your door says as a few knocks were heard. "Are you ready for school? You don't want to miss that perfect attendance record, do you!" >Your name. >The door opens, and a mare enters your bedroom, she has a Maya blue coat and a periwinkle tail and mane with a pigment blue streak; on her flank the picture of an hourglass can be seen. >She always had a grin on her face, which made you grin back. "Yes mom, I was just writing some notes, I'm ready!" >"That's my Anon, always on time!" >You can't help but roll your eyes with a sly smile at her. She always says time-related stuff or puns. >With a smile on her face, she leaves your room. "A year has passed and I haven't forgotten anything... that I am aware of, let's keep it that way, Anon!" >You close your diary and put it on a shelf next to your night lamp beside your collection of the Daring Do saga; and then you grab your backpack, getting ready for a new day in Equestria. >Unbeknownst to you, somepony who was peeking at the window from outside the bedroom started to force open the window. >... *click* >The pony gets inside. >... >Seconds pass and the pony leaves and closes the window.
