Chapter 1: I'VE LOST MY DEER'S EYE --------------- >Rubble, dust, burned leaves, fallen trees >Everywhere little Angel looked, there was nothing but the aftermath of a bloody persecution >Anything, but his precious deer's eye >Yesterday, he saw it go away into the forest, by itself >That wasn't good >Right in the middle of the night too >He figured he'd go early in the morning >Which he did >Today he had gone out through the rabbit hole in Fluttershy's sanctuary >Its super easy to traverse through it >It is just a manner of pattern memorization, and following the signs on each path >All the paths he made branch from Fluttershy's home >Therefore, if he gets lost, all he has to do is look back >Obviously, Fluttershy doesn't know about this >Why would she? A rabbit as proud as Angel can only share so much of its affairs with the rest of the animals >As a result, if Angel doesn't come back by the next day, Fluttershy will immediately start looking for him >And she'll start asking her friends to help, if it takes him that long to return home >Pinkie Pie is notoriously good at finding him >Unfortunately for Angel, he wasn't going home without his deer's eye >He was just that comitted to finding it >Fortunately, he followed one of the bird's directions into the mountains >It only took him 3 hours to reach the outskirts of Canterlot >So it was still early >That's when he encountered... >someone else >Green coat, with a dark grey mane >He actually can't remember the last time he saw one of those ponies >And just as quickly as he spotted him, he called out his name >And then, he saw something come out of the woods >He saw Him >He never liked Him, from the very first day he appeared in Ponyville >His fake smile, his fake charisma >All hiding something different that Angel himself was too fearful to ask >This is why his deer's eye was so important to him >To protect him and ward off the evil spirits >''Oh, Angel?'' >Unfortunately, it found him >His voice brought him back to the present >Before he could even move an inch, he was immobilized by green magic >That's when He entered his field of view >''You know I've been looking for you all day, right? Fluttershy said you didn't say anything'' >Anon, as he called himself, had the biggest shit eating grin on his face >Something Angel despised deeply >''The way I see it, its just the two of us now...'' >Angel is then, levitated, and brought face to face with the unicorn >Anon drops his smile suddenly >''..and I would like to keep it that way'' >He brings him closer, almost eye to eye >''Capish?'' >Angel has no option but to frantically nod >Upon doing so, he falls on his butt upon being released >''Good boy!'' >A sudden, spark of magic happens behind the two of them >From it, a purple alicorn, appears >''Anon! How is-'' >She stops mid sentence >''What happened here?'' >He shrugs >''Oh, you know, I was doing a practice run on those spells you taught me, and then I found Angel!'' >He brings his body down, forcing Angel into a hug using his left front leg and hoov >''Ain't that right friend?'' >Angel is forced to nod and smile >''Oh! Okay...I got some news I wanna discuss with you, actually...'' >Anon recoils, raising his eyebrow >''Why didn't Spike do it?' >''Oh, he's feeling sick, he's got some sort of...flu'' >A gentle (fake) smile appears in Anon's face >''And you decided to deliver these news to me personally? Wow, look at you! Princess Twilight Sparkle, Express Friendship Delivery Service!'' >Twilight giggles lightly, covering her mouth with her left hoof >''Yeah, I like delivering news. Anyway, Pinkie Pie found some glitter dust on the exposition room. I thought you should know'' >Wait, what are they talking about? >''Oh yeah, glitter dust'' >Anon bites his lip while looking at the floor >''Hmm, glitter dust'' >He ponders deeply into the cliff side >''I know someone familiar with it, but she's not a thief as far as I'm concerned'' >''Oh!'', Anon exclaims, turning around excitedly, ''isn't that the unicorn you told me about? What was her name, Trish...?'' >''Trixie?'' >''Bingo! You told me about her! Didn't she try to use the Alicorn Amulet once and nearly took over Equestria?'' >Twilight looks down, supporting her chin on her hoof >''I dunno, she learned her lesson long ago, I doubt she'd do something like that again...'' >Right as she says that, Anon then leans on Twilight, wrapping his arm around her >''Right, but she's a magician right? C'mon, that's gotta mean something!'' >She nods, slightly >''Right...right...'' >''Well'', Anon says as he unwraps from Twilight, ''it doesn't mean she's guilty. But it makes her a suspect!'' >Anon looks down at angel, his mask slipping away for a split second >''Anyway, I gotta visit Fluttershy and tell her Angel's fine.'' >Twilight spreads her wings >''Right, I'll see you at the castle'' >''See ya!'' >''Bye'' >Anon looks up at Twilight, taking off to Canterlot >''Oh that castle...'' >By the time Twilight took flight, Angel was already long gone >At least gone from Anon's field of view >He managed to reach his secret tunnel via a hidden rock entrance that Anon barely missed >As he traversed through his tunnel system, he can't help but think about what has happened as of late >This can't be a coincidence, he thought >His deer's eye is gone and now the unicorn maniac has eyes all over him >He knew he had something to do with the dissapearance of the green ponies >After all, how could he be the only one living here? >Oh what if there were others? >As the anxiety slowly creeps over Angel, he spots slides down a downward slope of the tunnel >As he has done so many times before >Well, two or three times >Unexpectedly, he spotted a new opening, which he was rapidly approaching at a high velocity >The fight earlier must've shaped the earth just enough to uncover an underground lake >Which Angel, was now unwillingly travelling through >Not for long though, as he surfaced the water shortly after >His desperate gasps for air echoed trough the pitch black darkness he found himself in >As well as the sounds of a distant waterfall >However, the water came to a standstill >Angel found himself swimming in a not so deep body of water >There was no lighting, nor a way to know where the water stopped >There was, however, a gap in the far-nortest wall, from which a very faint source of light illuminated from under the water >Its a good thing Angel knows how to swim, or else he would've been fish food long ago >He takes a deep breath, and tries his best to dive underneath the wall >Upon surfacing, the light is almost blinding >Angel recognizes this cave entrance! It is located just bellow the Rainbow Falls >And would you look at that! There's a familiar looking necklace, floating in the water! >His deer's eye! >As he swims excitedly to it, he stops upon noticing something else >The unconcious body of a green stallion ------------------------------ >Ouch >You try your best to open your eyes, but the pain surrounding your body is overwhelming >Even as you open your eyelids, everything is blurry >You can make out some shades of green, blue, and darkness around you >The ringing in your ears is eventually drowned by the sound of a nearby waterfall >You're cold, the water around you is freezing >But you're not floating, rather, it seems you've washed ashore an underwater lake >As you slowly regain your vision, you also get to feel something, wrapped around your neck >Gently, like a collar >You use your two hooves to support yourself as you try to get up >Looking down, you notice something that wasn't there before >Some sort of...bean, wrapped around a red string >This better not be some form of waste pit where the ponies of Canterlot throw their garbage in >It doesn't smell too bad, though >The cave seems to be wide enough to host a pool party >You'll figure out what the meassuring system is later on >As you get overwhelmed by random ass thoughts, you reconsider what just happened >You turn around, and look into the cave >There's no one here but you, it seems >There's something else too... >It would seem there's some sort of trail imprinted in the gravel floor of the entrance >Looking closer, it seems to be a trail of hooves, imprited by some form of glitter >And it leads to a tunnel entrance, that contorts into the left >Squinting your eyes, you manage to identify a pulsing red hue, on the walls of the tunnel >The pain in your left side has gotten worse, forcing you to release a loud SSSSSS sound >Looking at it, there's all manner of things that have penetrated your coat >Rocks, pebbles, sticks, leaves >Your thigh is severely bruised too, who knows when you'll be able to walk again >You ear picks up a sound, echoing through the cave >STEP >STEP >STEP >That's when a shadowy figure peeks from the entrance of the tunnel >You see a pair of eyes, twinkling in the dark >Its staring right at you >You don't even know what to say >Your body is in too much pain to run away, but right now you're not thinking about the pain >You're thinking about using what little strenght there is left on you to run away >Your breathing has become labored, every gasp has turned into an intense battle for air with each passing second >That's when it stops >Its eyes suddenly dart around the cave, focusing on the cave entrance >Particularly, one spot >Just between two palm trees and a rock, something caught its attention >Try as you might, you can't see it from your point of view >What do you even do at this moment? >Your body is too sore, literally every movement you've been unconciously doing feels like a needle piercing your bones >But the figure is just...standing there >Then, a sudden noise comes from the spot >The sound of moving bush leaves, which makes its way deeper into the forest >You turn around >The fall must've clogged your ears really bad, because you didn't hear the moment the figure closed the distance >Now it stood only 2 feet in front of you >Hooves, whatever >And it is staring down at you >The illumination of the cave entrance has highlighted some crutial details, however >At least its not some monster >It stands in all fours, and most of its body is covered by a dark brown cloak >Its head is also hidden under a hoodie >But because you're below it, you manage to see the face of a mare >A light green mare, with distinct green eyes >And some patches of her dark grey mane covering her ears >...you've seen her before >She breaks the silence by reaching into her cloak with her left hoof >From which, she pulls out a wooden canteen >She moves closer into your left side, and gently sits down ''Hey'' >She doesn't respond. Instead, she gently brings her canteen closer to your lips >GULP >GULP >The water tastes...different. Like rock, dirt, and minerals. But you're too thirsty to care >She stops pouring after a couple of seconds >After swallowing, you body tricks you into exhaling deeply >She smiles lightly, before storing her canteen back into her cloak ''What now?'' >SHHHH >Shushing, she brings her hoof to your lips >''Rest easy. We'll talk later'' >Her voice was barely above a whisper. Soothing, and gentle ''Ok...'' >Her smile dissipates, before revealing a pouch from her cloak >As you lay your heard on the floor once more, you can't help but notice the amulet on her neck >Its metallic, dark, and it has a triangular shape >There is a large gap in the center too, formed like a diamond >The sound of the nearby waterfall is soothing >You're starting to fall asleep >''Rest, Anon...'' >Your vision goes dark once again --------------- >Where Ponyville's library once stood, now stands a huge castle >It still bears some sort of ressemblance to the Golden Oak Library, although much larger, and much more...glittery? >Anon didn't even like it the first time he arrived to Equestria >Much like his ''''friends'''', he would've preferred the Library to be rebuilt after the battle with Tirek >Or as he calls it, Season 5 >A lot of things could've been handled different, he thought >But even though he is finally in the world he dreamed of, he is still complaining about it >Perhaps if he was ''''the writer'''' none of this would've happened >Nevertheless, he had finally walked all the way from the mountains in Canterlot to Twilight's Castle >And by walking, really all he did was walk into the Friendship Express and hop in one of the wagons for free >And then he walked from the train station to where he stood currently >If there's one thing he could recognize, is the size of the castle >The tall doors he was about to enter through were quite a sight to behold >A nice shade of gold to contrast against the crystally blue roots of the place >As he walked through staircases and the throne room, he kept pondering about the insides of it >Everywhere he looked, it shined like like nail polish >Except for the Cutie Map, which had been torn appart from the castle floor >He had nothing to do with that, he's sure of it >Going up the fifth staircase in a row, he finally reached Twilights room >Hey that's a funny ammount of smoke just coming through her door >KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK >''Room service!'' >''Come in!'', Twilight exclaimed >As he pushed the door, he found himself in a rudymentary laboratory of sorts, with boiling flasks of green liquid, books hovering in the air, a giant cauldron in the middle of the room for no reason whatsoever? >And of course, the Princess of Friendship herself, wearing a white labcoat and a pair of aviator glasses which made her pupils grow three times their size >Cute! >If he hadn't seen this exact set up in previous episodes, he would've been totally shocked >She seems to be meddling with some form of glitter dust >''Did you find anything?'' >She turns back to see him >''Nope! I was hoping you could help me look into it'' >She then stands aside, revealing a microscope >''And, how do you think I'm going to help, exactly?'' >She looks at Anon's butt, his cutiemark >''I thought you said your talent was investigation'' >Indeed, that was what Anon had explained previously to the Mane 6 >Otherwise, how can you justify a giant question mark as your cutiemark? >''Yeah right, how about I look at it normally this time?'' >Indeed, Anon is good at answering questions he already knows >The closer he looked at the glitter dust, he realized something was off >It was too glittery, if it made sense >But it was unlike anything he had seen previously before >''Say, about that...Trixie fella of yours...you sure she doesn't have anything to do with this?'' >Twilight pondered, looking up into the roof for answers >''I doubt she'd do it'' >He thought about it, before asking again >''Are you sure? Didn't she have the amulet once already?'' >Anon had already made up his mind. Its unlikely Trixie had anything to do with this, because her vanishing powder is way different than this >And he's sure it doesn't even work like that, which means this thing is something new >Upon reaching that thought, his heart skipped a beat >This happened yesterday, and today he found another one like him >All of this means that he's no- >''No Anon, she's with Starlight right now. They're looking for the Map as we speak'', Twilight says, smiling innocently >She then reaches for her board, before igniting her horn with purple magic >In that movement she just did, her labcoat was lifted ever so slightly, revealing her cutiemark and the shape of her back >Anon smiled, and bit his lip discretely >''Right'', he said, ''well I'll pass by them on my way to Fluttershy's. You uh, take care!'' >''You too!'', she replied, whilst focusing on her board >Is that a Golden Ratio she's scrabbling? >He takes one last good look at her before returning his gaze to the door >That's when his smile quickly dropped >A blue pony standing in the entrance >His least favorite, rainbow colored, blue pegasus pony >And she was mirroring his discontent on her face >He didn't even bother to look at her after recognizing her >He just walked by her and said ''See ya later Rainbow'' >Rainbow Dash, on the other hand, could not stop following Anon with her eyes >She didn't even blink, she just waited for Anon to walk down stairs before shutting herself with Twilight >At that distance, he can still overhear the immediate conversation happening in that room >''Why do you thrust this guy?'' >''He's a friend!'' >''Ever since he showed up, weird things have happened and you expect me to believe HE has nothing to do with it?' >Eugh, that raspy voice of hers is enough to drive Anon away >''He's helping us, Rainbow Dash'' >''Come on! So was Discord, then he betrayed, I dunno, several times, and now he's gone!'' >''Discord has been gone several times'' >''Really? Fluttershy doesn't know anything about him. I'm telling you, he's got something to do with this!'' >''And is there evidence to prove he's secretly a super villian?'' >''...'' >''...?'' >''No Twilight.'' >''...'' >''Cheer up, we're all looking for our friends, alright?'' >''I'll keep looking then. Oh, Tank needs a new fan, could you help me out?'' >There's some noise coming from the cabinets of the room >''I gotta go talk with the Wonderbolts, see ya!'' >The last piece of action Anon hears is a gushing wind sound, exiting Twilight's room >God fucking dammit, he thought >If he didn't have the social skills of a kid with Asperger's he wouldn't be a suspect >Now he's gotta find another red herring to cover up for the thief >...he'll figure something out [END OF CHAPTER ONE]
