>Sweet Apple Acres had a problem. >The cows were gone. >Well, not gone, but on strike. >All across Equestria farms were being disrupted by an organization that called itself Bovine Lives Matter. >It has been causing milk shortages in Ponyville, and bit shortages on the farm. >Applejack was not taking it too well, but Granny Smith was taking it even worse. >The rest of Ponyville had their own complaints, seeing as there's no milk. >Nopony really realized how much milk they used until there’s none left to go around. >It had been weeks, and none of the cows looked ready to stop. >Granny Smith decided that enough was enough, the farm had to get back on track. >Apple Bloom was sent into town with a stack of leaflets asking, in broad terms, for help solving the problem. >The rest of the mane six responded, along with a few others. >Nopony really knew what they signed up for, the fliers Apple Bloom passed around never really mentioned specifics. >Descriptive writing wasn’t exactly Applejack’s forté, and she left out a few important details. >A small crowd had gathered at the gates of Sweet Apple Acres. >The normal face you could expect to see were there, between Twilight, Rarity, Pinkie, Rainbow, and Fluttershy. >But there were also quite a few others. >The CMC were there. >Starlight Glimmer had been volunteered by Twilight, and in turn dragged Trixie and Maud along. >A jumble of other townsfolk were there, the usual faces that tended to gather whenever there was a crowd. >”I’m sorry AJ, you want us to what? I think I misheard you.” >Rainbow lazily fluttered above the rest of the crowd, looking obviously ruffled at the request. >”Replace the cows. Why are y’all so up in arms about this?” >”Maybe because, I don’t know, the fact that we’re ponies and not cows!” >“Besides, Applejack dear, none of us are… ahem, you know…” >“None of y’all are what?” >Rarity nonchalantly gestured to her teats. >”Is that all you’re worried about, Rares? We got supplements that will help with that. How do you think we always get so much out of the cows? Heck, you remember that time I was dripin’ like a faucet for a week? Mac slipped a dose into my breakfast as a prank. A couple doses a day will get anypony going.” >Rainbow Dash responded from above ”How long would this even be for? You gained, like, ten pounds that week. I’m not signing up for this if I’m going to get fat.” >”It was five pounds at most.” >”Whatever you say, you were still pudgy for a month afterwards. I ain’t doing it.” >”Trixie just thinks Dash won’t do it because she’s a chicken!” >Trixie was almost immediately elbowed in the barrel by Glimmer with an “Oof.” >”What? She obviously is?” >Rainbow zoomed over and nearly pressed her face into Trixie’s. >”Who are you calling a chicken, Lame-o?” >For all the intensity of Rainbow Dash’s point-blank stare, Trixie only smiled back smugly. >”You. Now watch this: Oh, Applejack! Sign me up.” >Her smug smile only widened as Rainbow’s glare narrowed. >”Well that’s great Trix, who else?” >Rainbow let out a sound halfway between a grumble and a growl before breaking off her stare and spinning to face Applejack. “Fine, I’ll do it. I ain’t no chicken.” >”Me too, me too!” >Scootaloo was responding even before Rainbow could start a depressed sigh. >”You two are going to do it too, right?” >”’Course I am, I was plannin’ to even if you two didn’t. The farm needs milk pretty bad. Plus Im’a get out of my chores.” >”Well… I’ve never been a cow before… I guess it could be fun.” >Rarity let out a sigh. >”If my Sweetiebell is doing it I should probably stay to keep an eye on her. I just hope it isn’t too long of a strike, I’ve got the autumn line to worry about soon. You will keep me company, right Fluttershy?” >”Oh, um… I suppose that would be okay. I’ll need to make sure someone can take care of the animals, though. >Pinkie bounced up twice from the crowd, drawing eyes to her. >”I’ll do it too, with all these friends it’ll be like a big sleep over!” >Pinkie Pie latched herself over Maud with a hug. >”You’ll be there too, right?” >”Yes. But only if Starlight Glimmer comes along.” >In a blink Pinkie was hugging Starlight in the exact same pose, having moved so fast she might as well have teleported. >Confused and slightly concerned, Glimmer looked to Twilight for a suggestion. >Twilight nodded and rolled her hoof in a ‘go on’ gesture. >”That sounds… great, Maud. I guess spending some time with you and Trixie won’t be too bad.” >Maud intoned a dull “Hooray.” >“Wonderful! I suppose I wouldn’t be a very good teacher if I weren’t there with my friends too, so count me in AJ.” >”Looks like everypony’s getting’ on board. We’re up to what… onetwothreefou- twelve now counting’ myself. A dozen’s good, but we’re down twenty cows. Anypony else?” >With a little hesitation a dozen more hooves rose to volunteer. >Among them were Berry Punch, Derpy Hooves, Vinyl Scratch, Octavia, Ms Cake, Lyra, Bon Bon, Flitter and Cheerilee. >The last three were the flower trio. >”Great! looks like the barn’ll be full up. Lets all head down that way and go over everything y’all will be doing.” >The walk was short, but full of gossip. >Soon enough the dairy barn came into view. >”Alright y’all, quiet down a bit so I can get to explainin’” >The conversations slid to whispers and eventually died off altogether. >”Each of ya are going to have their own stalls set up for ya. We got two rows of twelve, so y’all should work out amongst yourselves who’s sitting next to or across from who.” >Whispers returned as friends talked amongst themselves. >”Now y’all are going to be here for a little while if’n that strike doesn’t break up anytime soon. We got yer food covered, so y’all don’t need to worry about that. Obviously you’ll be staying in the barn, but its pretty comfy in there. Lastly we know your time’s valuable, so we’ll be paying out about half-again as many bits as we usually pay the cows once this is over and your done.” >Big Macintosh Creaked open the barn door from the inside, having finished his preparations inside. >“Step on in, please. My sister and I will get you all set up.” >The collected crowd filed into the barn. >It was hard to not take notice of the massive black-iron machine sitting in the middle of the barn. >A huge horsehead pump reached nearly to the ceiling, at it’s base was an overly complex series of switches and dials. >Unmoving gears and flywheels clustered around it. >The arm of the pump read “Cow Creaker Mk. IV” in stark white stenciling. >Three massive tanks stood next to it, each towering well over even Big Macintosh’s head. >”Alright, everypony pick a stall and get settled and we’ll getcha hooked in.” >”Hooked in?” Berry Punch asked. >”Yep. What did ya think we were still doing this by hoof? Milkin’s been automatic for a while now. Me and Mac just need to get y’all hooked up to the milkers and the machine’s pump does the rest. So pick a stall and we’ll get things rolling. Oh, and whoever gets stall 17, sorry if it’s a bit of a mess. >The ponies slowly sorted themselves in less than five minutes, mostly claiming pens adjacent to their friends. >Twilight and her friends, along with the CMC and glimmer’s friends took one row, everypony else took the other. >”I don’t see what’s so wrong with 17,” rainbow said while looking around at the walls. >”You never saw it before we hosed it out, never mind I said anything.” >Big Mac and Applejack both took a row of stalls, going down the length and belting the milk pumps in place on the twenty-three mares. >“Now, we probably won’t be producing’ anything on the first day, but I’m still going to have Mac running the pumps. It’ll get everything primed up for when we start leakin’ and should get your bodies ready for it. Things might be a bit uncomfortable at first, but once the hormones kick in you’ll get a bit more padding.” >A constant tinkling could be heard from behind the collected mares, as the glass milkers clinked against one another every time they shifted. >Applejack walked over to the convoluted control panel for the pump and turned a few knobs, then threw one of the longer switches. >Ever so slowly, the multi-ton head of the pump swung upward, before driving itself back down. >The large flywheel at its side began to pick up speed with every cycle, and soon the smaller ones spun up too. >More than a couple startled yelps called out at once, as the cups positioned around everypony’s teats drew tight and clamped hard against their flat breasts. >It rapidly became a rhythmic pattern: three seconds on, two seconds off. >“Alright, pressure looks good. Mac, you want to get the feed lines prepped?” >”Eyyep.” >”Now some of y’all might have been wondering about the food situation. It ain’t gourmet, but it is pretty tasty. One of them big tanks over there is full of an Oat n’ Honey mix with some extras added. Its the same stuff we use for the cows. Now, now, I know. I said it ain’t fancy. But if you want to make good milk you gotta eat the right stuff. Otherwise the flavors come out all wrong. Just a heads up, the hormone mix is already in there, incase any of y’all were worried about takin’ pills or shots.” >”Feed’s ready.” >”Let’s get to it then.” >Two dozen hoses were run out, one to each stall. >At the end of each was a clear rubber mask with heavy latching straps. >”I know it looks intimidatin’ but the thing’s got to be on secure or the pump won’t work.” >AJ and Big Mac walked down the line again, sealing a mask on everypony in the barn. >The ponies found that the tube protruded just far enough from the mask to pass their teeth. >Once it was in there was no way to close their mouths short of removing the mask. >The only way to swallow was to seal their lips against it. >Applejack adjusting a dial one more time, before she trotted her way into the last empty milking stall where Big Mac Hooked her in with the others. >After a muffled “Go ahead,” Mac turned on the feeder. >“Alright everypony, we’re starting off on the slow side. I’ve got it set for 10%. This thing was made for cows, starting much higher than that could probably get one of y’all hurt.” >The feed-lines jerk and pull at the masks as the cow feed started being pumped down them. >To many of the present ponies’ surprise, it tasted pretty good. >Every ten minutes or so the machine kicked back on, pumping five or six mouthfuls of the nutrient slurry before turning off again. >It was, over all, a pretty mild experience for the first few hours. >But soon those intermittent mouthfuls started to add up. >Five hours in, and many present were starting to feel uncomfortably full. >Not stuffed to the gills, but bloated. >The gaps between pumps helped to settle things and let them digest a bit. >but it was never quite enough. >It was a long first day. >After thirteen hours on the Cow Creaker, Big mac finally returned to shut it down for the night. >Most of the mares were outright exhausted, not used to eating a tenth of what they’d had today. >And it showed, everypony had a bowed out belly, looking and feeling like they’d had a triple portion of a Hearth’s Warming meal. >Many of them settled down on their stuffed guts and felll asleep within minutes. >A few others stay up longer, settling their packed stomachs with what belly rubs they could manage before getting their rest. >The next day came and went about the same, save that it was sixteen hours. >Then day three stretched it to twenty. >The mares found themselves nodding off between pumpings of food, trying to catch whatever sleep they could. >It wasn’t like there was much else to do. >By day four the mares are all noticing the effects of the constant eating. >They had gotten quite squishy around the edges. >Thicker flanks and pudgy potbellies were starting to grow on all of them. >Some were also starting to develop soft and pillowy mounds below the milking heads. >Many of them were already producing milk, though it was less than a liter a day. >Only Applejack knew just how much they’d been eating, and she was in no position to inform the others due to the feeding mask. >It was something on the order of 11,000 Calories a day. >And it was planned to go higher starting today. >Mac came in for the morning duties in the barn, but this time the turning of several dials adjusts the feed to 20%. >The difference was tremendous. >Now its a dozen mouthfuls every ten minutes. >And even with their stretched out stomachs, the mares began groaning uncomfortably in less than an hour. >Over the course of the day, more and more of the tasty but increasingly despised gruel pumped down their muzzles. >They had got no choice but to eat at this point. >And eat. >And eat. >When the sun sets and Big Mac returns, many of the mares don’t even notice. >They’re unable to focus on anything except swallowing, having been forced to eat until it hurts and then keep going for hours. >The machine clicked on one last time for the night and the barn is filled with muffled whimpers. >The mares’ painfully distended stomachs had shrunk over the four hour pause, and they woke up covered in an even thicker layer of cushioning fat than the day before. >By the fifth day, milk production became much more noticeable. >Each pony was pumping out at least a half gallon an hour, and their teats had swollen to match. >The fleshy orbs were nearly the size of a hoofball, engorged to far beyond the size of most pregnant mares. >Every time the milkers pulled, their teats jiggled and shook. >The feeder was slightly more tolerable after spending a night stretching out. >But only slightly. >Left with nothing to count the time but the constant pump of the Cow Creaker and a four hour nightly break, the days started to blur together >There was nothing to do but eat, and feel themselves grow wider and wider. >If they didn’t eat, it was pumped down their throat anyway. >The bigger they got, the more milk Big Mac collected. >The girls' output was impressive. >Their overflowing mounds flooding the milkers with several gallons an hour. >As it happened, the hormonal blend was both extremely potent for ponies, and being administered at a dosage more in line with a cow. >At some point Big Macintosh had set the machine to 30%, then 40%. >The groaning mares could barely tell. >The only things left in their world were the near constant flow of food, the unending tightening inside them, and the perpetual Thump-Thump-Thump of the milker. >Among them, few had the wherewithal to be anything more than semi-conscious during the day. >Everypony else is lost in dead-eyed gazes, whimpers, or moans while they gurgle and slowly bloat over the course of days at the end of their hose. >By three weeks in, the ponies were nearly unrecognizable. >Days on end of constant stuffing has left them little more than brightly colored blobs of fat. >The slow expansion of their swollen bodies has left them all with mounds of tightly packed flesh wider and taller than the ponies themselves. >The legs of the mares are useless. >Most can’t even touch the ground. >Those that do are as thick as columns, restrained from movement of more than a few degrees by their own squishy girth. >The most impressive things were their cutiemarks. >Stretched wide over the pony-cows’ flanks, they were nearly as wide as a pony had once been tall. >Each one a clear brand and reminder of who, and what, the milky blob of oats had once been. >Milk production had never been better, though, and Sweet Apple Acres was rolling in bits. >Being the only source of milk in a region-wide drought can do that. Princess Celestia herself’s talkin’ with the bull-in-charge of the protest. With a little luck the cows will be coming home tomorrow.” >In the back of her mind, Twilight thought to herself that it probably wasn’t right to take that as bad news. >Sure the oat mix had grown on her until it tasted like heaven, but she was pretty sure she could feel the stall walls on her flanks. >Both of them. >This had to end before it went too far. >If it hadn’t already. >Twilight busied herself with her mental catalog, digging for any memories of weight loss magic. >Her memories were fuzzier than they should have been. >Half an hour after he entered, Big Mac left and Rainbow dash was left alone with her thoughts. >Again. >In that time he’d been there Bic Mac checked seals, refilled the feed, and adjusted the some of the knobs and levers on the control panel for the Cow-Creaker. >Same as he had done twice a day for the last month. >Rainbow Dash had given him a death glare the entire time. >The same as she had for the last month. >She was fat. >And it was awful. >She’d wanted to stop since the end of the first week, but with the mask in place she could make nothing but muffled noises. >The first time Big Mac saw her trying to remove the mask, he assumed it wasn’t on properly and “fixed it” for her. >She had twice as many straps now than before. >Not that it mattered anymore, she hadn’t been able to reach her hooves to her face for two weeks. >All she could do was eat. >And she hated it. >Hated how much it made her stomach hurt buy the end of the day. >Hated how big it made her. >Hated how good it started to taste last week… >NO. >Rainbow cut off the thought as she looked over the stalls across from her. >She only saw a dozen colorful blobs, their heads bobbing lightly in time with the constant flow of oats. >Just like her. >Rainbow Dash refused the next mouthful out of her hose, as she had often attempted in the past. >As always, the machine blew through her resistance like rice paper. >Her cheeks bulged as she refused a second and third mouthful. >The fourth was too much for her, and she instinctively swallowed it all just in time for the next gulp to reach her. >An experimental flap of her wings let her know they still wobbled. >What kind of a wing wobbles? >A useless one. >This is it. >This it how it all ends. >’Here lies Rainbow Dash - too fat to do anything else.’ >At least it was almost over. >She swore to herself she would never drink milk or eat oats again. >Content to dwell on the idea that her torment might finally be over tomorrow, Rainbow Dash let herself be distracted by the constant rhythmic pumping at both ends. >The hours slipped by gulp by gulp and pump by pump. >All the while Rainbow Dash simmered about her situation. >Lost in her angry thoughts, Rainbow failed to notice an out-of-place CLANK from the machine. >What she didn’t fail to notice was that the next mouthful came in a fraction of the time she was expecting. >She looked at the offending tube attached to her muzzle with a hateful and pointed stare, daring it to do that again. >It did. >Rainbow tried to shake the mask off her head, not that it had any hope of working. >The feeding hose continued at it’s accelerated rate. >Every two seconds a new glob of oats forced itself into her mouth. >As what little she could still move thrashed about in distress, she continued to swallow another two dozen gulps. >The commotion attracted the other’s attention. >Twilight, Cheerilee, and Octavia watched the wobbling blue pony’s outburst with confusion initially. >It wasn’t until Rainbow dash wore herself out a minute later that they saw it. >Rainbow Dash’s head was bobbing at a rate ten times faster than everypony else. >In fact, now that she had settled down and stopped shaking her fat-bloated self it was possible to see her slowly growing from it all. >Twilight could only just barely see Rainbow Dash from her position to the left. >she herself was too big to rotate and could barely turn her head enough to see the front quarter of Rainbow Dash. >Across from her, Octavia and Cheerilee had a much better view. >Nopony liked what they saw. >Applejack’s words about Rainbow’s stall flickered back through Twilight’s mind for a brief moment. >”Sorry about the mess” >”You never saw it before we hosed it out, never mind I said anything.” > The horseshoe finally dropped for Twilight as she put two and two together. >Somepony, or more likely somecow, had popped in Rainbow’s stall. >And Rainbow was on the same track! >Twilight briefly imagined her friend bloated to a cyan sphere, limbs completely encompassed, and head sunk all the way in until you couldn’t even see the mask. >Still chugging thirty gulps a minute, the imaginary Dash squealed and exploded. >Judging by the faces on Octavia and Cheerilee, they were having similar thoughts. >The control panel for the machine was visible to Twilight, but it was too far away to make out any real detail. >For a moment she considered throwing a few levers and switches and hoping for the best. >She reconsidered that when her mind’s eye pulled up the exact same scene as before but this time the orb was purple. >Twilight glanced back at her pegasus friend. >What had been a soft pile of fatty pony belly was growing taller and tauter. >Dash already looked like she was ready for the nightly rest period, and with how fast she was chugging she could well have already eaten the whole day’s allotment of oats. >Twilight winced. >She knew how painfully full she was by the end of the day, to keep eating past that would be torturous. >Twilight gave Rainbow’s mask an experimental pull. >The straps held it tight. >She couldn’t see the buckles to undo them, and tearing it off would probably injure Rainbow long before the mask came off. >When the tug on her mask abated, Rainbow Dash looked back to it’s source to see a worried Twilight. >Dash relaxed, if only barely. >Twilight knew something was wrong. >She’ll find a way to fix it, like always. >Each of the rapid fire gulps were getting painful. >Rainbow Dash gave Twilight a pleading look. >Twilight nodded in response. >The hose running to Rainbow’s bloating form lifted itself off of the ground in a purple glow. >Twilight tried to flex it in her magic, in an attempt to kink the feed line. >The middle of the line bent and curved for minutes, but the thick hose and its high-pressure contents proved too resilient in the end. >Giving up with an exhausted head-bob, Twilight let the hose fall back to the barn floor. >Time was running out. >In the meagre five minutes Twilight had spent wresting the hose, Rainbow had been packed with another hundred and fifty cheekfuls of oat slurry. >She looked bad. >All signs of flab were gone, replaced instead with a drawn tightness. >Echoes of Twilight’s imaginings were already beginning to show, as her friends limbs were forced spread-eagle by her over-engorged middle. >Rainbow Dash gave her a new pleading look when she dropped the hose, this one was teary. >Twilight Sparkle shook her head in response. >Twilight needed more time to deal with this than she had. >The constant “ULP-ULP-ULP-ULP” from her friend was a reminder of the ticking timer. >The ached whines between when she drew a breath prompted Twilight back into action. >She may not have thought of a way to fix this yet, but she could still delay the inevitable. >Rainbow Dash’s dreadfully large belly was encompassed by Twilight’s magic, and she began to feel gentle kneading and rolling on her tightened gut. >Sometimes at night Twilight had taken to massaging her own belly to alleviate the stressful tightness that built up over the day. >The same spell might buy Rainbow Dash a few minutes while she thought. >Of course, now Twilight had a second constant reminder of her friends predicament - the relentless swelling of rainbow’s body was easy to feel against her magical grip. >Twilight thought to herself this would be so much easier if she could move. >One hoof on Rainbow’s mask could end this terror. >But no, she and everypony else was far too bloated to reach her, let alone reach their own masks if what ever was happening started up elsewhere… >Twilight shut out that thought and continued rubbing at Rainbow’s tightened sides. >The pegasus had little give left, what little stretchiness was coaxed out by the massage was instantly filled to capacity. >Rainbow really was becoming the cyan sphere Twilight had imagined. >Her eyes were pinched shut, and she let out a little squeak with every breath. >Twilight had to do something. >And fast. >One last gambit came to her. >She couldn’t move, but maybe she could get Rainbow to move. >Teleport her off the hose. >The only problem was Rainbow Dash was enormous, far larger than anything she’d teleported before. >She didn’t have to go far, but it would still take a lot of energy. >But given how tired she was that energy may take too long to get. >Twilight cut off the full-body massage dancing over her friend’s distended self and started to focus. >The tension redoubled inside Rainbow at the loss of Twilight’s comforting grip. >She grunted down the next mouthful. >And the one after. >She started to feel a creeping grip roll up her neck as the blue orb started to consume her head. >All the while the glow from Twilight’s horn grew brighter and brighter. >When Rainbow started creaking, Twilight tried her best to shut it out. >Her friend was relying on her. >Twilight cast one last glance at Rainbow as the tip of her muzzle slipped behind her cyan folds. >It was now or never, her vision was about to come true. >She only had one shot at saving Rainbow Dash, and it had to be done perfectly. >Twilight’s focus split between her friend and the empty space near the door of the barn. >It pained her to admit it, but there was no guarantee this would work. >If she didn’t have enough energy for her mass the spell would fail. >Too much for her mass and the extra shockwave at arrival would probably splatter Dash’s thinned hide into pieces. >If she was targeting too low for Rainbow’s new size, the spell’s safeties would abort it due to clipping. >If she was too high, the critically bloated mare would pop like a dropped water balloon. >A zapping arc of magic launched from Twilight’s horn and struck Rainbow Dash. >The massive mare vanished with a crack, and a moment later reappeared a few inches above the ground by the door. >She plopped down, sloshing slightly. >Twilight held her breath at the sight of her wobbling friend, praying she’d hold together. >The tightness reasserted itself, and the sloshing inside rainbow dash faded away. >Twilight hung her head in exhaustion and victory. >It tasted sweet. >And oaty. >Or perhaps that was just the most recent pump to her own mask. >Three weeks later, the Twilight and her friends had gathered for a brunch at one of Ponyville’s several excellent café’s. >All of them had been careful to avoid oats. >Five ponies and a blue blob were settled around one of the outdoor tables. >”I still don’t see why you instead on going to a restaurant today.” >”Darling, just because you don’t need to eat for the next month doesn’t mean the rest of us don’t. >”Rare’s right on that count, ‘sides, it isn’t like you’d be up for a run or a pet-day right now. At least if we’re sitting down you can keep up with us. >”It’s just not fair! I can’t do anything! I can’t eat anything but vitamins, I can’t run, I can’t even jog! I won’t fly for a year! A YEAR!” >”Keep those chins up Dashie. At least we’ll all keep you company on the ground while you lose the weight.” >”I know Pinkie. It just sucks. I just wish Twilight would magic it all off of me like she did for everypony else, but you won’t…” >”It isn’t a matter of won’t, Rainbow, it’s can’t. The spell was very specific in it’s warnings about being used on fat that was exposed to extra-dimensional voids.” >”What’s the worst that could possibly happen?” >”Are you familiar with an author named Love Craft?” >”Romance novels are Rarity’s thing, not mine.” >”It’s actually science fiction. Kind of. Lets just say things would get weird.” >”Weirder than leaking milk because I haven’t been milked in an hour?” >Everypony laughed. >”No really, it’s starting to pool…” ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— [2] Double-stuffed Rainboom all the way across the barn ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— >After another week of being stretched to their max capacity, the stomachs of the behemoth mares had finally grown used to their enormous daily burdens. >The one month mark came and went but nearly nopony in the barn seemed to care when Big Mac let them know. >The constant bovine hormones had certainly helped to ensure that. >For the most part the pony blobs had simply become content doing nothing but eating, sleeping, and feeling full. >Even the sharper minds were getting dulled by the potent feed, made docile by hormones not meant for their kind. >Nearly half of them had become so contented that they could be considered catatonic. >Most of the others weren’t far behind. >Less than a third of the ponies present could be considered truly cognizant of their surroundings. >But of them all only Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Cheerilee, and Octavia had any real fire behind their eyes. >When Big Mac returned for the morning check in, he had news for anypony able to listen. >”I’ve got some good news for y’all girls this morning. a wing wobbles? >Still chugging thirty gulps a minute, the imaginary Dash squealed and exploded into slop. >She knew how painfully full she was by the end of the day, to keep eating past that must be torturous. >Even so, she better work fast. >Each of the rapid fire gulps were getting painful. >Rainbow Dash gave Twilight a pleading look. >Twilight nodded in response. >The hose running to Rainbow’s swelling form lifted itself off of the ground in a purple glow. >Twilight tried to flex it in her magic, in an attempt to kink the feed line. >The middle of the line bent and curved for minutes, but the thick hose and its high-pressure contents proved too resilient in the end. >Rainbow watched the line bend and flex with trepidation. >No matter how her friend twisted it the torrent of oat slurry kept coming. >It was hard to tell how long it was before Twilight gave up and dropped the hose. >All she could feel was the constant undulation in her throat, and the stabbing pain that seemed to surround her on all sides. >She was so full it hurt, and it was only getting worse. >Echoes of Twilight’s imaginings were already beginning to show, as her limbs were forced spread-eagle by her over-engorged middle. >Rainbow Dash only noticed her eyes were watering when she looked to Twilight and only saw a Purple smear. >The ill defined purple splotch shook her head in response. >It was unbearable for Rainbow Dash. >Every forced swallow came with a new wave of pins and needles dancing over her skin. >In the brief windows between feedings Rainbow found herself gasping for breath, and each exhale came with short pained cry. >Rainbow Dash felt a long tingling line assert it’s presence from her navel to her marehood. >It felt different from the rest of her stretching, and was a reminder to the bloating mare that she was nearing the verge of splitting apart. >Suddenly she felt something else. >It was a new tightness, and it was terrifyingly uneven. >Like a dozen hooves jabbing into her, with more pressing in by the second >She looked at Twilight again somehow hoping to silently warn her, when she saw Twilight’s horn lit with a spell. >Twilight was doing this! >WHY? >Rainbow’s eyes bugged out under the strain, and the only thing going through her head “GONNAPOPGONNAPOPGONNAPOP” >Just when Rainbow Dash was convinced that her friend was intentionally going to squeeze her until she popped, the pressure digging into her splitting hide began to roll and roil. >The divots swept back and forth all over her nearly spherical body, some in spirals, some in long loops. >It hurt wherever they touched, but the trails they left behind felt divine by comparison. >Almost normal. >Rainbow Dash felt relieved, even with the gallons of oats pouring into her taxed body. >She knew this wasn’t a solution, but it might just help her last long enough to find one. >For the next five minutes Rainbow began to relax in the comfort of her friend’s magic. >The only thing she could hear in that time was her own constant gulping. >ULP-ULP-ULP-ULP-ULP-ULP-ULP-ULP-ULP-ULP-ULP >The trails of comfort on her body grew shorter and shorter. >Eventually they stopped following the divots altogether. >The pegasus had little give left, what meager stretchiness was coaxed out by the massage was being instantly filled to capacity. >Rainbow really was becoming the cyan sphere Twilight had imagined. >Her eyes were pinched shut, and she let out a little squeak with every breath. >Twilight had to do something. >And fast. >The once pleasant massage had once again turned into torture. >Each of the magic hooves poking into her felt like an iron pike stabbing her side. >She tried to turn in order to beg Twilight to stop, but found her head could no longer pivot. >Had she grown that large? >How big could one pony get? >How big could SHE get. >She grunted down the next mouthful. >And the one after. >It was getting harder to swallow. >All at once, the prodding hooves faded from her throbbing edges. >The tiny amount of flex they gave back to her was only a relief for the next three gulps. >Then the stretching resumed again. >She started to feel a creeping grip roll up her neck as the blue orb started to consume her head. >She felt it creep higher every gulp. >Each mouthful sent a splitting pulse through her that felt like a prelude to her messy end. >Soon, Rainbow’s peripheral vision was intruded by a ring of cyan fur. >Her fur. >An aghast Rainbow Dash imagined what the rest of herself must look like. >And what she would look like soon if Twilight couldn’t save her. >From her slowly shrinking window, Rainbow Dash saw the purple glow of Twilight’s magic glowing against the barn wall. >Gulp by gulp her view shrank, until all she could see was her hose and a few cracks of light. >It was now or never, Rainbow Dash was on the precipice. >If Twilight didn’t do whatever she was planning SOON Rainbow knew she was going to pop >She could only feel two things, the constant pulse of her swallowing and an ominous creaking that she felt as much as she heard. >ULP >That pulse felt different. >Sharper. >It look longer for the pulse through her rending body to settle. >ULP >She was definitely tighter. >Too tight. >ULP >This time the pulse hadn’t even finished stretching her. >This was it. >She was going to pop. >ULP >It was a matter of when, not if. >ULP >She wasn’t even halfway done with the last pulse when the next one hit. >Still no help from Twilight came. >ULP >This time the oats went nowhere. >Rainbow felt them settle in her throat like a gooey brick. >The pulse to her edges that accompanied it never stopped. >ULP >With nowhere to go, the gulp pooled in her cheeks. >Rainbow Dash felt something break, and heard something snap inside her round body. >She panicked. >ULP >A second mouthful crammed into her cheeks. >Oats leaked out her nose. >More echoing snaps sounded off inside her, followed by a loud crunch. >She could feel herself trying to go in every direction at once. >ULP >The third mouthful threatened to split her cheeks. >Rainbow screamed into the hose until the next gulp came, there was nothing else she could do. >She was going to explode. >Nothing and no one was able to stop it. >ULP >Overcome by the strain of a fourth mouthful, Rainbow Dash’s cheeks disgorged their contents into her throat. >She felt something shift in her chest as the oats were forced into place. >It was too much to have inside her. >Rainbow’s body finally gave out. >The ten-foot orb of pony quivered briefly >ULP >Rainbow Dash’s muffled scream ended when she splattered apart with a loud squelching tear. >Flung oats arced across the barn in all directions, speckling the other ponies present with a molted coating of feed. >Stall 17 was absolutely destroyed. >The walls were bent into the neighboring stalls. >A long trail of oat slurry as wide as the enclosure was painted on both the floor in front of the stall, and ran up the wall behind it. >The Cow Creaker wasn’t spared either. >The front half of the machine was covered in Rainbow’s last meal. >If anypony was watching the console, they might have noticed when something sparked. >CLANK. >CLANK. >CLANKCLANKCLANKCLANKCLANKCLANKCLANKCLANKCLANKCLANK. >When Big Mac returned for his afternoon checkup, all he found were twenty-three blown out stalls. >Twilight’s stall was empty, but the circular splatter by the barn door told him all he needed to know. ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— [3] Too many cupcakes ———————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— >It wasn’t long before the mares’ milk production plateaued. >Some took to the hormone laced feed better than others, their bodies simply better suited to receive and distribute them. >Fluttershy, Maud, and Lyra. >The three of them had grown noticeably plumper than the others around them, and their teats were much heavier swells. >What gains those three had made in the last few weeks paled in comparison to what happened to Cup Cake. >She lay in the last stall on the left, number 12, and she filled it completely. >Ms Cake had already been the largest of the two dozen mares to volunteer, but the constant food and hormones had sent her into overdrive. >Of all the ponies present, Cup Cake alone touched all four of her stall’s walls. >Only half her body was hidden behind the partitioning, the rest perched above it on a sea of fat and a stomach full of oats. >As impressive as her gaining had been, her breasts were even more spectacular. >Each was easily the size of her old body, and they hung so heavily on her rear that the bottom curve was mere inches from the floor despite how high Cup Cake’ stomach had raised herself. >Cup Cake alone was responsible for a significant chunk of Sweet Apple Acre’s newfound profit. >Each teat produced a whopping twenty-two gallons an hour. >Ms Cake had originally volunteered so that Carrot Cake could keep Sugar Cube Corner running despite the milk drought, and she was certainly achieving that aim. >Her output had reached a point that she was starting to overwhelm the milking cups suctioned onto her. >The vacuum pressure for Ms Cake’s set of milkers had been increased daily, sometimes twice or three times, and still her enormous udders were constantly taut with backed up milk. >Already it was well above any reasonable standard settings, but the Cow Creaker’s pump was powerful and still had a lot of that power to spare. >Maybe too much power. >One single pump line was never meant to have so much throughput. >Shortly after Big Macintosh’s morning check-in, a valve in the vacuum line finally cracked under the strain. >Unseen and unheard by everypony, a high-pressure jet of milk burst its way into the pumping system. >The milk took little time in spreading through-out the system. >Three red lightbulbs started blinking on the machine’s control panel, issuing a warning no one could respond to, let alone understand. >Had anypony known how to read the indecipherable panel, they would have learned that the milk system had sprung a leak through the main pump and into the feed system. >The machine, not expecting any changes to it’s mission, continued on unabated. >The pressure pushed the milk down the feed lines, until it hit it’s first obstacle. >The left side valve. >Down at the opposite end from Cup Cake’s stall, Octavia’s eyes changed from a drowsy half-liddedness to a startled bulge. >For the first time since this whole ordeal began she tasted something other than honey-oats. >Well the oats were still there, but now there was something else. >Something creamy and rich. >She wasn’t the only one to taste it. >All down the row ponies were being startled by the first change of flavor they’d had in weeks. >All twelve gulped it down happily to a chorus of muffled moans of satisfaction. >At least at first. >After five minutes the feed lines had been completely washed out with milk, and there was no sign of the flow stopping. >The ponies on the receiving end were growing uncomfortable, but had no choice to keep chugging the fatty buttermilk they had all been producing. >Some of the more cognizant ponies across from them began to notice to constant ulps and discomforted groans. >By the time the ponies had spent an hour guzzling down their own cream, They looked and felt ready to burst. >The moans and groans were joined by a creaking. >Half the mares in the barn had gone from bloated to disastrously distended, each resembling more of a water balloon than a pony. >Most could barely wiggle their legs or move their heads, let alone hope to remove the masks causing it all. >Cheerilee was the first to go off. >There was no real warning, no climactic build up. >The only sign something was about to happen was her cheeks swelling out wider a split second before it happened. >She was simply there one second and gone the next. >A wide splash of milk and oats erupted from her stall raining down on the ponies next to and across from her. >Understandably, panic started. >She’d just given voice to all the little fears that had been building in the back of the rapidly swelling ponies heads. >Most were powerless to either help, or save themselves. >Efforts redoubled to remove the masks, but even before they had become bloated sacks of milk nopony could have possibly reached the latches. >Vinyl and Lyra tried in vain to pry off their feeding tubes with magic. >Without being able to see the latches they could’t find a means to undo them. >Daisy was the next to blow, followed almost instantly by Lily in the next stall over. >The two bursts blanketed the adjacent Vinyl and Roseluck in cake and milk. >Then came Flitter. >Octavia’s concern grew even deeper as she saw her roommate get splattered by what she knew was pooling in her own pained stomach. >Bon Bon watched Lyra’s head and hooves retreat further and further into the minty balloon she was becoming, all the while feeling herself do the same. >The creaking and groaning seemed to get worse by the minute. >Across the barn, Twilight knew she had to do something to stop this catastrophe. >She knew she was probably the only one who could. >Her eyes were drawn to the massive horsehead pump driving the machine. >’Of course, seize the pump!’ >Twilight’s magic flared, and a glow surrounding the pump’s arm matched it. >Weak, drowsy, and bloated, Twilight’s strength was nowhere near what it should have been. >Slowly, bit by bit the pump began to slow. >WHUMP >She felt something thick spatter across her front and face. >Twilight’s concentration slipped when the pony across from her, Derpy, exploded. >Time was running out. >Her efforts redoubled as she strained herself to her limit. >SPLAT >Roseluck burst into a splatter in her stall. Twilight’s horn sparked and burned as she put more force into stalling the massive pump. >SPLOOSH >Berry Punch. >There were still five more ponies counting on her. >A wretched grinding noise started to sound from the pump’s base, but it kept going. >Lyra, Bon Bon, Octavia, Vinyl Scratch, and Cup Cake were all bursting at the seams. >Lyra was letting out a wincing squeak with every gulp, both she and Bon Bon knew time was rapidly running out for her. >She closed her eyes and let out a long squeal around the tube in her mouth as she felt her limit finally get surpassed. >The mint unicorn erupted into a column of oat-feed and milk, splattering over her marefriend and painting the stall walls with oats and milk >Twilight Sparkle grunted with strain, a second layer of over-glow leaking from her horn as she strained ever harder against the implacable pump. >She flung sparks from her horn with so much force that they reached yards away before dispersing. >Vinyl Scratch, for what it was worth, could see the writing on the wall. >She decided that if she was going to go out, she’d do one important thing first. >Tease Tavi. >Even as she felt her edges pulling to their utmost, Vinyl balled up what little magic she could muster and shaped it into a telekinetic hoof. >She felt one last pulse through her over-strained body and quickly released the magic while she still could. >Vinyl scratch burst apart into a frothy spray of milk and chunky oats. >But not before slapping Octavia’s ass one last time. >Surprised by both the slap and her exploding roommate, Octavia let out a hose-garbled “meep.” >The slap sent her wobbling, a wave traceable throughout the musician’s body. >It proved to be too much in the end. >Before the ’Tavi quake had settled, she too exploded. >Now all that was left was Cup Cake. >Already large before, she had become gargantuan from the unrelenting pump. >She was a bright blue sphere, her only discernible features were her bloated cheeks and still-massive teats. >Worried magenta eyes could just barely be seen in the shadow above her cheeks. >With a clank and screeching iron, the pump finally ground to a halt. >Twilight dropped her head freely in exhaustion, nearly passing out. >She took a quiet moment to rest, with only her thoughts and the constant suckle of the milkers. >’Wait.’ >’Why are the milkers still running?’ >Twilight managed to raise her head just enough to see the wrecked pump. >Though it may have halted, she felt a dawning horror when she saw the ten-foot-tall flywheel at it’s base still spun freely. >SPLAT >On cue with her discovery, Cup Cake burst into a figurative tidal wave. >Seconds later there was a clank as the pumped milk’s path took it to the next obstacle. >The feed lines for stall, thirteen to twenty-four. >Twilight watched the flywheel spin, continuing to work the device on inertia alone. >She was far too tired to stop it. >Which is what made the first few tastes of milk in her feed all the more frightening. >She and her friends were in a race against time. >Either the wheel would stop, or they would explode. >Twilight had watched the wheel with trepidation for almost an hour. >Each spin was a little slower than the last, but only barely. >Once again everypony felt ready to burst, and looking at each other they could tell they weren’t far behind when the other half of the barn had started bursting. >The flywheel had almost halted, but almost wasn’t good enough. >Every rotation was still another belly-full of milk, and no pony had the room left to accept many more of those. >To Twilight’s right, Rarity whimpered on her hose as she felt herself edge closer to splattering apart. >She wasn’t alone in that. >Trixie had the worst of it, and was easily the furthest along. >Too far. >The wheel’s rotation had dropped from hundreds of RPM to less than five. >It was almost more torturous at a lower speed. >At least at a high rate it ran continuously. >Now it doled out pumps individually and methodically. >Trixie worried that each slow turn of the wheel would be her last. >She’d held for a while but the strain was truly unbearable. >The unicorn had begun to worry that the simple act of breathing might be all that’s needed to push her over the threshold. >The wheel rounded it’s apex one last time, grinding to a halt a hair’s breadth away from the next pump cycle. >The Great and Powerful milk balloon let out a long relieved sigh into her mask. >She and eleven others uncomfortably waited for Big Macintosh to inevitably return.
