>"Strange," said Twilight. "I thought snowponies were just an old mare's tale. Why would everypony be heading out to the frozen northern wastelands to find them?" Snow covered the ground in front of the crowd, hiding the tracks the ponies left. The wind howled and whirled, throwing their shadows about the ground as if the wind was alive. In the distance the howling wind was joined by another sound, a faint sound of singing. Though the wind seemed to threaten to drown out the song, it slowly grew louder. Twilight strained her ears, trying to pinpoint where it was coming from. Then she heard it, a faint sound of music playing off in the distance. The crowd followed her hoof and, sure enough, there was a group of ponies singing off in the distance. The singing grew louder, and Twilight realized that it was coming from the direction of the snowponies. "Come on, everypony! Join in! Sing with me!" Twilight heard Pinkie shout. She was getting closer, and the singing was louder now. "It's the pony folk's song! Sing along!" Twilight shook her head and shook it, and stamped her hoof, and finally she realized what she had to do. She had to do what she was best at, she had to organize, to plan, to do what needed to be done. She needed a game plan. She needed to prepare. She needed to plan. Twilight Sparkle, after a deep breath and a second to compose herself, joined in. She cleared her throat and started to sing. Oh, the pony folk have a pretty song They'll sing it while they are marching along. When you come across the pony folk, Just give a little shout, they'll be sure to hear you! And they'll sing it while they are marching along And when you come across the pony folk, Just give a little shout, they'll be sure to hear you! And the pony folk got music, And the pony folk got song, And the pony folk got dancing, And the pony folk got games, And the pony folk got goods, So they'll do for you Just give them a smile, and maybe they'll do the same! Come on, everypony! Join in! Everypony sing it with me! When you come across the pony folk, Just give a little shout, they'll be sure to hear you! And the pony folk got music, And the pony folk got song, And the pony folk got dancing, And the pony folk got games, And the pony folk got goods, So they'll do for you Just give them a smile, and maybe they'll do the same! Twilight took a step back and watched as the crowd joined in. She felt tears welling up in her eyes, and she cleared her throat to clear them. She couldn't cry, not here, not now. The song was almost over, and Twilight felt a twinge of fear in her stomach. And when you come across the pony folk You may be blue or pink Or white as snow Or green as grass Or brown as hay Or black as night Or maybe a nice berry red But the pony folk won't tell They'll call you the colors of the rainbow! Rainbow Dash stepped up next to Twilight, and the two of them sang as one. And the pony folk got music And the pony folk got song And the pony folk got dancing And the pony folk got games, And the pony folk got goods, So they'll do for you Just give them a smile, and maybe they'll do the same! Oh, the pony folk got music And the pony folk got song And the pony folk got dancing And the pony folk got games, And the pony folk got goods, So they'll do for you Just give them a smile, and maybe they'll do the same! Twilight and Rainbow Dash stepped back as Applejack stepped up to sing, and the two of them sang as one. And when you come across the pony folk You may be shy or proud And you may be grey as a cloud But the pony folk won't tell They'll call you the colors of the rainbow! Rarity stepped up and sang, her voice magnified by the Royal Canterlot Voice, and the three of them sang as one. And the pony folk got music And the pony folk got song And the pony folk got dancing And the pony folk got games, And the pony folk got goods, So they'll do for you Just give them a smile, and maybe they'll do the same! Fluttershy came up next, and the crowd sang as one. And the pony folk got music And the pony folk got song And the pony folk got dancing And the pony folk got games, And the pony folk got goods, So they'll
