Measure of a Princess (incomplete)

Expiry: Never

  1. >Twilight gazed up at her life long mentor Princess Celestia.
  2. >If her vision weren't so sharp, the feelings in her body so concrete, she would have sworn she was dreaming.
  3. >It was all rather surreal.
  4. >And yet it wasn't.
  5. >Celestia and her student had somehow taken a stroll through Twilight's own life, reviewing it as one might a grand play.
  6. >Even for a lifelong student of magic, being here on this ethereal plane was all so puzzling.
  7. >But when Twilight put questions to her princess, Celestia answered with a song; a lullaby really.
  8. >That voice and those words soothed the perplexed girl as they had many times before.
  9. >As the Princess of the Sun finished her lilting tune, Twilight heard the benediction in her teacher's voice.
  10. >“It's time for you to fulfill your destiny.”
  11. >Twilight felt a warmth build in her chest.
  12. >Her hand reached up instinctively to clutch at the ephemeral sensation.
  13. >As she watched, magic flowed from her bosom into the air before her lighting her surrounding with a lavender hue.
  14. >It swirled and pulsed; alive with a form and vigor that she didn't recognize yet seemed familiar.
  15. >Before she could react, the magic that had left her returned.
  16. >It caressed her skin like a live current, shocking but not painful.
  17. >The mystic force was more than it had been when it left her.
  18. >It had been added to, increased.
  19. >She felt herself being lifted up into the air.
  20. >Her body began to throb.
  21. >Her limbs pulsed, her back ached pleasantly as though she had just finished a workout with Rainbow Dash.
  22. >He mind was flooded with a thousand sensations and she could feel reality begin to warp.
  23. >She somehow knew that she was being drawn back to her normal plane of existence.
  24. >As the ether shuddered, all the power coruscating on her skin and in her extremities came pouring back into her chest.
  25. >She didn't black out; not really.
  26. >It was more like a white out as her consciousness left her briefly.
  27. >When she awoke she was falling ever so slowly back down to the darkened ground below.
  28. >Twilight felt as though she were waking from a long nap.
  29. >Her grogginess didn't fully clear itself until she touched foot on the ground.
  30. >Without thinking, Twilight stretched as one might when rising in the morning.
  31. >Her back muscles were deliciously sore as she raised her arms and a rush of air ruffled her hair.
  32. >She didn't know what to make of the strange sensation as one of her friends, Applejack, called out.
  33. >Opening her eyes she saw her friends standing before her.
  34. >She sighed in relief.
  35. >They were okay!
  36. >Now maybe she could relax and-
  37. >“I don't believe it.” Applejack said.
  38. >“Twilight's got wings!” Rainbow cheered as she swept in to feel the feathery appendages that where apparently sprouting out of Twilight's back.
  39. >Wings?
  40. >The young mage looked down at herself.
  41. >She was clad in a sheer gown of some sort.
  42. >“Actually, it's more of a tunic.” the analytical portion of her mind corrected.
  43. >She felt so different!
  44. >Everything felt so alive!
  45. >She could feel sensations coming up from the ground through her bare feet that she had never felt before.
  46. >All of her friends approached her and when Rarity chimed in Twilight started to make sense of what had happened to her.
  47. >“Why you've become and alicorn! I didn't even know that was possible.”
  48. >Neither did Twilight but that's indeed what had happened.
  49. >A few moments later Princess Celestia arrived and explained to those gathered that their friend and de facto leader had indeed become an alicorn and a princess as well.
  50. >Twilight couldn't believe it and again wondered if she was dreaming.
  51. >She naturally asked her mentor what she might do to prepare for such a responsibilities but the Sun Princess simply told her that there would be plenty of time to worry about more weighty matters later.
  52. >“For now, why don't you spend some time with your friends” she smiled.
  53. >“You won't stay?” Twilight asked.
  54. >“There are those that must be informed of what has happened here this night. And besides, you need to rest after what you have experienced. Your friends, I think, will help you do just that.”
  55. >Her Highness leaned down and gave her former student a gentle hug and then stepped up into the air.
  56. >Like a sunbeam dipping beneath the hills She-Who-Was-the-Sun vanished from sight.
  57. >“Hoo-wee!” Applejack crowed. “A real live princess. Who'da thought!”
  58. >When the cowgirl peered at her friend closer she got a thoughtful look on her face.
  59. >“Stand up strait Twi.” Applejack instructed as she did the same.
  60. >Puzzled, the newly minted alicorn did as she was told and stiffened her posture, hands down at her side.
  61. >When she looked at the blonde she saw immediately what Applejack had realized.
  62. >“Dang girl, you're taller than I am now!”
  63. >It was true, she could see over the brim of Applejack's stetson.
  64. >That's when it really hit her that being a princess was probably going to come with a few surprises.
  65. >Spike walked up to his adoptive sister and gazed up at her.
  66. >His look of worry had long since morphed into one of wry bemusement.
  67. >“Great.” he snarked, looking up at her. “As if I didn't feel short enough before.”
  68. >Twilight chuckled as she leaned down to give him a hug.
  69. >“Oh, Spike. No matter what you'll always be my little brother.”
  70. >She pulled away and saw a few tears in his eyes.
  71. >That's when she realized that as weird as her ordeal had been, it must have been torture for her friends.
  72. >She had just vanished without a trace after all!
  73. >After Spike, all the Elements came up one by one to give her a hug and tell her that they where behind her in her new position.
  74. >She felt truly blessed to have such friends and she opened her mouth to tell them so.
  75. >Instead, a loud yawn escaped into the evening air.
  76. >“Well,” Rarity interrupted, “I think our new princess has had quite enough excitement for one day.”
  77. >Everyone nodded in agreement.
  78. >They all wandered back to the library, happy and relived that it's resident librarian was returned to them safe and sound.
  79. >After making sure that everything was in order each girl bid a good night and made their way home until only Rarity was left alone with the two occupants of the library.
  80. >She looked down at Twilight's young assistant.
  81. >“Oh Spike, darling. Could you go brew Twilight some Camomile tea? I think she rather needs it after her long day. I really do need to talk with her about a vital matter before she retires for the evening so when you come up would you be a dear and knock? Thank you, Spike.”
  82. >Twilight tried to interject as Rarity ordered her assistant to the kitchen but the look on the pale woman's face brooked no argument.
  83. >Nonplussed, she followed her bossy compatriot up the stairs to her room.
  84. >After shutting the door, Rarity turned to her subject and started looking at her with a critical eye.
  85. >“My my,” she muttered and she circled Twilight. “Who would have thought that changing tribes would mean so many other changes as well.”
  86. >“What do you mean, Rarity? Are you talking about my wings? Seriously, what's this all about?”
  87. >That seemed to snap the fashion designer out of her reverie.
  88. >“Oh! I do apologize darling, I was lost in thought.”
  89. >She waved a hand almost dismissively.
  90. >“It's your clothes, dear. You are going to need new ones.”
  91. >“What's wrong with the ones I've got?”
  92. >“If I'm not mistaken, most of your wardrobe isn't going to fit you anymore.”
  93. >“What are you talking about? I know I'm taller now, but...”
  94. >“Twilight.” Rarity deadpanned, “Take off your dress.”
  95. >“What!”
  96. >“~Sigh~ Why do you think I had Spike go brew some tea? To give me some time to get some new measurements so I can have something decent for you to wear tomorrow.”
  97. >“Uh, can't I just wear this?” she indicated her tunic.
  98. >“No, darling. This is a lovely wrap but in case you didn't notice it's rather, shall we say, loose fitting?”
  99. >Rarity grabbed a small swatch of the lavender garment.
  100. >“Especially around the shoulders and torso. I'm just glad there were no men around when you leaned over to give Spike that hug or they would have gotten quite the show.”
  101. >“Oh my gosh!” Twilight blushed crimson.
  102. >Satisfied that her point was made Rarity again motioned for the new princess to shed her clothes.
  103. >Slipping out of the dress, Twilight looked down at her new body for the first time.
  104. >It looked... different.
  105. >“Oh my. I suspected as much.” Slipping into tailor mode, the purple haired maven produced a measuring tape and started to ply her trade.
  106. >As the tape moved from place to place along Twilight's body, the designer couldn't help but remark on the changes that had befallen her.
  107. >“Why, darling, your whole silhouette has changed!”
  108. >“Wha- my silhouette? I'm pretty sure my shadow is the same as it's always been.”
  109. >“Ah ha ha. No, darling. Your silhouette. Your outline. It's the general shape that your body follows. >You've always been a pretty standard unicorn type. Thin, willowy. But now! If I didn't know any better I'd say your body was closer to that of an earth girl's!”
  110. >“You mean like Pinkie?”
  111. >Rarity grew thoughtful.
  112. >“Actually there's no one standard 'type' per tribe. Just... trends really. 'Unicorns' tend to be lithe of limb. Beyond that, though, they can be short or tall, graceful or clumsy.
  113. >Compare that to 'earth-lings'. Applejack's tall and rather broad. Especially in the hips and shoulders. >“And Pinkie Pie?” Twilight asked.
  114. >“Pinkie Pie eats far to much cake.” Rarity sighed. “And yet most of those pounds seem to avoid her mid section. We should all be so lucky.”
  115. >“Those of the pegasi tribe are generally shorter and more compact.” she continued. “They're usually more muscular too, thought it's a lean kind of muscle. Think about Rainbow Dash.”
  116. >Twilight had to interrupt at this point.
  117. >“What about Fluttershy?”
  118. >“Ah, yes. Fluttershy.”
  119. >They both considered their pink haired friend.
  120. >When Twilight had first met her, the canary winged girl had been something of a waif. A tall waif to be sure, but still a waif.
  121. >One of the reasons that the famous Photo Finish had chosen Fluttershy to be the face of her fashion line was because the girl's proportions had struck just the right balance; a rather dynamite combination of svelte and buxom.
  122. >However, following the young woman's brush with stardom, mother nature obviously decided that she wasn't through with Fluttershy and over the next few years the young lady's figure continued to develop.
  123. >To the shy girl's consternation, all those 'developments' were ones guaranteed to draw more attention to her.
  124. >Especially from the men in town.
  125. >How she even still managed to fly with her amazing assets, let alone help out during things like the annual water lift, was something that continually astonished her friends.
  126. >In fact, though she would never tell her, Twilight had even heard some guys around town refer to 'Shy as the 'torpedo bomber'.
  127. >Those same fellows also tended to wind up with nasty little surprises somehow appearing in their backpacks or briefcases as if by magic.
  128. >Rarity smiled.
  129. >“As I said, there are only general trends. And there are certainly exceptions to those trends.”
  130. >She finished up her measurements.
  131. >“So what's the damage? Twilight asked as she started to slip her robe on.
  132. >“You've certainly improved your figure, that's for sure! You haven't gained much around the waist but as I suspected both your hips and bust have gotten bigger.”
  133. >“Gosh, really?”
  134. >“Uh huh. You've gained four inches around your bottom and three inches around your top.”
  135. >“What?!” Twilight jerked her gown off again and began examining herself frantically. “I don't believe it!”
  136. >“Calm down, darling.” the fashionista soothed. “It's all relative. Don't forget that you've gotten taller too. In fact your exactly six inches taller than the last time I measured you.”
  137. >“I'm... that much taller?” The dazed young woman slumped down on the bed, naked.
  138. >“Now, now. It will be fine. As I said, it's all relative. You're taller so of course the rest of your measurements will increase as well. Luck you, your waist has stayed the same so that means that you've got more of an hour glass figure now.”
  139. >Twilight looked up at her clothing confidant.
  140. >“Hour glass figure? Does that mean my, uh... breasts have gotten bigger?”
  141. >Rarity couldn't help but take note of the Twilight's hopeful tone.
  142. >“Oh ho!” she mentally smirked.
  143. >Out loud, “Well, your cup size hasn't really increased. Why, were you hoping for a little something 'extra' to go along with your becoming royalty?”
  144. >Twilight's face twisted as though she had chomped one of Pinkie Pie's Super Sour Bombs.
  145. >“Aw, I dunno. I guess... maybe a little?”
  146. >Rarity sat down beside her friend and put an encouraging arm around her shoulder.
  147. >“It's just that I've always been surrounded by really, um, buxom women. I mean, not my mom, but, you know, Princess Celestia and Cadance. Heck, most of our friends are pretty stacked too!”
  148. >“Don't I know it!” Rarity laughed. “Fortunately, I've always been satisfied with my bust line. No one expects a fair maiden of the unicorn tribe to be all that voluptuous.”
  149. >“I know, but I guess I've always thought that it would be kind of neat to have an amazing body. Then maybe g- Uh, never-mind.”
  150. >“Oh, no you don't! I know what you were about to say. You were about to complain that guys never notice you. That's poppycock! You've just never let yourself be approached!”
  151. >Twilight put her head in her hands and sighed deeply.
  152. >“Could we talk about this some other time? I don't really feel up to it right now.”
  153. >“Very well.” the seamstress relented.
  154. >She got up but after a few moments noticed that Twilight still had her head in her hands, pointed down at her lap.
  155. >“Dear, are you alright?”
  156. >The young princess finally looked up.
  157. >“My breasts look different.”
  158. >“What?”
  159. >“They look different! See?” she shamelessly thrust her chest out for Rarity to observe.
  160. >The fashionista had, of course, seen all her friend's in the buff before.
  161. >After all, trips to the spa weren't generally the most modest of affairs.
  162. >So Rarity mentally kicked herself when she realized that, yes, the bosom displayed before her was in fact different from when she last saw it.
  163. >Whereas before her friend's breasts had the gentle sloping shape of shallow soup bowls, these teats looked more conical.
  164. >Not much bigger in size but definitely more aggressive in shape.
  165. >The nude girl poked at the pink tip of her right boob.
  166. >“Whoa! My nipples are swollen and my areola are all puffed out. Is that normal- Rarity! Why are you laughing?”
  167. >“Ah ha ha ha! I'm sorry my dear. It's just that ~giggle~ I've never actually heard anyone use the term 'areola' in normal conversation before!”
  168. >Twilight huffed.
  169. >“Well, that IS the proper term, and they ARE swollen.”
  170. >Getting a hold of herself the designer looked again at her subject's chest.
  171. >Sure enough Twilight's nipples were looking rather turgid and the pink circles on her pale breasts had become protruding little domes sitting atop the creamy mounds.
  172. >“Huh, if I didn't know any better I'd swear...” Rarity began without thinking.
  173. >“Swear what! What would you swear?” Twilight asked desperately.
  174. >But Rarity reconsidered what she had been about to say.
  175. >“Nothing dear. Just an idle thought. Now you get some sleep and don't worry about a thing. I'll bring you some clothes bright and early tomorrow. Alright?”
  176. >“Okay.” The tired girl let out a might yawn.
  177. >“That's a dear. Now put your clothes on and I let Spike in with your tea.”
  178. >After getting her settled in for the night, Rarity bid Twilight Sparkle and Spike good night and let herself out.
  179. >The next morning, at the crack of dawn, Rarity headed over to the library with several large bags in tow.
  180. >She was a woman on a mission.
  181. >She had a princess to dress!
  182. >When she knocked on the door she wasn't at all surprised to see Spike answer.
  183. >She was surprised at the look of worry on his face.
  184. >“You gotta help Rarity! Twilight's locked herself in the bedroom and won't come out!”
  185. >Disturbed by this turn of events she rushed upstairs.
  186. >Knocking on the door she called out.
  187. >“Twilight, are you in there? I say, can you hear me?”
  188. >Rarity heard the faint tinkling of magic and the lock on the door clicked.
  189. >With trepidation, the designer pushed the door open.
  190. >The room was dim owing to the curtains being drawn.
  191. >There was a person shaped lump under the covers of Twilight's bed.
  192. >“Darling what is the matter? Poor Spike is worried sick about you.”
  193. >The lump on the bed shifted and began to sit up.
  194. >Finally a head peaked out from behind the covers.
  195. >“I don't think I can go outside today.” a rumpled looking Twilight muttered. “Or ever.” she concluded.
  196. >“Why whatever do you mean, dear?”
  197. >“~Sigh~ go ahead and open the curtains I guess.” was the cryptic response.
  198. >Now thoroughly confused, Rarity cast the curtains aside and let sunlight pour into the room.
  199. >With a final, heaving sigh Princess Twilight Sparkle grimaced and let the bed covers drop below her waist.
  200. >All was silent for a few moments.
  201. >Then...
  202. >“Oh my stars and garters!”
  203. >Twilight had swapped her lavender gown for a plain gray t-shirt sometime during the night.
  204. >The day before it would have been oversized on her frame but now it fit her larger torso rather well.
  205. >She had also made slits in the back to accommodate her sizable wings.
  206. >As she examined it, the shirt's snug fit allowed Rarity to immediately see what had it's wearer in a tizzy.
  207. >“Look at you, darling. Why, you're positively busting out all over!” the designer crowed.
  208. >Indeed, during the night Princess Sparkle's royal bustline had increased significantly.
  209. >Her breasts were clearly outlined in the drab material of her shirt and two prominently perky points marked the fabric that gently rippled and stretched across the fullest part of her fresh bosom.
  210. >Unable to contain her grin, Rarity sauntered over to the bed.
  211. >“Well my dear, you wanted bigger ones and now you've got them. Oh, don't give me that look! They're fine. They probably aren't even as big as you think they are. It's just that top you've got on.”
  212. >Following her clothier's directions, Twilight stood up and began peeling of her shirt.
  213. >To Rarity's surprise, only a pair of panties covered the young woman's lower half, and ill-fitting ones at that.
  214. >“There see?” She started taking measuring around her pseudo-client's chest. “Your band size is still 34. And congratulations! You're now a C-cup.”
  215. >“For real? That big?”
  216. >“Mmn-hmn. You're in very good company, you know.” The seamstress puffed out her chest. “Even I >occasionally wear that size depending on the manufacturer.”
  217. >“Huh.” Twilight grunted.
  218. >The mage looked deep in thought.
  219. >“Not exactly the response I'd expect from a girl who just went up two whole cup sizes but, oh well. Fortunately for you I anticipated this happening and came prepared.”
  220. >Rarity started rummaging around in her bags and pulling out packages.
  221. >“Wait. What do you mean 'you were expecting this'?” demanded Twilight.
  222. >“Well, not this per se.” motioning to her friends exposed front. “But I did suspect that you had some more -eh- 'developing' to do.”
  223. >“And how could you possibly have known that?”
  224. >“You said it yourself last night. Your breasts were different than before. I've dealt with many a mother and daughter coming in for a first bra fitting, darling, and I recognize the look of a bosom that is just starting to develop.”
  225. >“Just starting? As in puberty?”
  226. >“Indeed. Although I'm not really sure how that applies to alicorn princesses, exactly.”
  227. >Rarity guided Twilight over to the mirror in the corner.
  228. >“That fact is that first you grew taller and now you're filling out. See? Not just your top either.”
  229. >She had Twilight turn her backside to the mirror and look over her shoulder at the reflection.
  230. >“OhmyGosh!”
  231. >Twilight's derriere has also gotten in on the previous night's act.
  232. >Gone was her rather pedestrian, flat bottom and in it's place was a heart shaped butt that was both taught and fulsome.
  233. >Each cheek had pushed out to the point where, together, they caused her plain cotton panties to ride up until they almost resembled a thong.
  234. >The stunned recipient of this new booty simply gawped; her mouth opening and closing like a fish.
  235. >Deciding that wouldn't do at all, Rarity ushered the half naked girl back to the center of the bedroom.
  236. >“Don't you worry, my dear. I'm sure that when you talk to the Princess you can ask her all about your, er, changes. In the meantime, I'll have you fixed up in a jiffy.”
  237. >True to her word, the fashionista extraordinaire spent the morning piecing together several new ensembles for the princess to wear outside.
  238. >As for foundation garments, Rarity had several pairs of panties that fit fine and, after a few minor alterations, several bra's as well.
  239. >After a few minutes struggle with the unfamiliar cloth contraption, Twilight finally managed to strap on one her new brassieres.
  240. >“Gosh. It really makes them... stand out doesn't it?”
  241. >Rarity checked the fit.
  242. >“Well, it is a full cup model. Those tend to focus on projecting the bust a little more.”
  243. >“I can't- I can't see my feet when I look down.” Twilight gazed into her recently acquired cleavage.
  244. >“Yes, I'm afraid that's a condition that you're going to have to get used to.”
  245. >“But I liked my feet...” The young woman muttered rebelliously.
  246. >“Casualties of war I'm afraid. Now, why don't we go and have some breakfast? Those clothes should hold you for at least a few days until we can work on your new, proper wardrobe.”
  247. >Both women made their way downstairs to a very relieved assistant librarian.
  248. >During the morning meal a letter arrived via Spike's flame from Princess Celestia.
  249. >It laid out an itinerary for Twilight Sparkle and her retinue to arrive in Canterlot that afternoon so that preparations might commence for the coronation of Equestria's newest princess!
  250. >Glad to have some distraction from her body issues, the Element of Magic (and, some would say, checklists) spent the morning frantically running around gathering up her companions and greeting her >many well wishers.
  251. >The longest encounter had definitely been at the mayor's office.
  252. >After clearing up what had happened with the mayor and reassuring her that Ponyville was safe once again (from a calamity that she had once again had a hand in. Ouch.) Twilight made for the door.
  253. >As she did a young man waved and got her attention.
  254. >“Twilight are you okay? I heard that something happened to you.”
  255. >It was Comet Tail.
  256. >Twilight knew him primarily because he was the president of Ponyville's amateur astronomy club.
  257. >He was a pleasant enough fellow and she always enjoyed it when they talked.
  258. >Now he looked at her with concern.
  259. >“I'm fine.” she reassured him the same way she had been reassuring others all morning.
  260. >Still, unlike most of the others, she went into a bit more explanation.
