  1. [Chapter 6: Fight Day]
  2.
  3.
  4. >There was a loud thud.
  5. >Instinctually, without even wondering what it could be or questioning your safety, you sprang from your slumber, off of the bed, and onto the floor, all with the extraordinary speed that a well rest has always given you. Your teeth were now sharp and your hooves were replaced with paws bearing razor sharp claws, ready to strike at any oncoming threat.
  6. >You dilate your pupils at the speed of a camera shutter to get a clear view of the now-darkened room. Sweeping your gaze from left to right, you find nothing.
  7. >Hmm.
  8. >Pulsing off of a bit of your energy to detect for life, much like a radar, you get something back. A tiny blip.
  9. >You do it once more to locate the source. It appeared to be coming from…
  10. >A book?
  11. >On the floor next to you desk, laid the blank-paged book that wrote back to you.
  12. >It had some energy to it for some reason.
  13. >Walking up to it and opening it with caution, you find that your words from before were gone.
  14. >The only thing written in the handwriting on the page was -Hello?-
  15. >You pick the book up in your teeth and carefully replace it on the desk.
  16. >Hopping up onto the seat, you quickly grab the quill in your mouth and start writing, forgetting about the prior conceived threat.
  17. -Who is this?-
  18. >-What are you?-
  19. >That question struck you as odd. But you'll answer. It's just a book.
  20. -I am a pony-
  21. >-You don't look like a pony-
  22. >Your heart skipped a beat. What the fuck?
  23. >Instantly, you change back to normal.
  24. -I am a pony-
  25. >-No-
  26. -Yes-
  27. -Who are you?-
  28. >...
  29. >-Nevermind-
  30. >-Now…-
  31. >There was a whisper in your ear, just out of your line of sight.
  32. >”Wake up…”
  33. >And wake you did.
  34.
  35. >You shoot up in your bed and turn, spinning in two whole circles, breathing heavily, heart pounding, claws and fangs bared, before you realize what had just occurred.
  36. >Fuck.
  37. >You hated dreams.
  38. >They never seemed to go very well for you. Especially this one. Fucking terrifying.
  39. >.........
  40. >You slowly lower yourself back into a lying position, body still shaking from the adrenaline, and let out an exasperated sigh.
  41. >Your hooves and teeth return to normal, along with your eyes, leaving the room before you a mere blurry, black box, only contrasted by even darker shadows made by the furniture.
  42. >You let your body calm down from the adrenaline before returning to your hooves.
  43. >Making an all-too-familiar hop over to your desk straight from the bed, you unfasten the button on the blank book and open it up. It was more for confirmation than anything else really. And your confirmation was there. Nothing but what you wrote the first time. In fact, the blue was still writing, picking up from where it left off when you were taken away.
  44. >-My name is Ania. Who are you?-
  45. >Ania. You run it by your tongue silently. Sounds like a girl's name.
  46. >You take up the pen from its font and delicately write.
  47. -My name is Anon. How old are you?-
  48. >It seemed to be the natural course of the questions. Not that you ever had enough interaction with anyone to know that, you were just guessing.
  49. >-I'm 12. How old are you?-
  50. >Huh, well alright then. She seems to know as much about you as you know about her. In that case, for all intents and purposes, you'll be the same as her.
  51. -12. Where do you-
  52. >You blink, only for you to suddenly be in the wacky wall chair of the living room, with Discord standing right in front of you, arms crossed and foot tapping.
  53. >Jesus fucking Christ, this guy.
  54.
  55. “What do you fucking want now?”
  56. >He gives you a subtle glare of annoyance.
  57. >”What are you doing up at this hour?”
  58. >...Is he fucking serious? All of a sudden he gives a shit?
  59. “Since when do you fucking care?”
  60. >He lowers his head down to your level and speaks in a vicious whisper.
  61. >”Since I've made arrangements for tomorrow that require you to be there and lively both at the same time.”
  62. >Of course it was for his own benefit.
  63. >”So,” He snaps his talons and send both of you back into your room, with you lying in the bed and him standing over you. “Go back to sleep.”
  64. >He starts floating towards the door, but you stand up on your bed in defiance.
  65. “And what if I don't want to?”
  66. >He pauses for a solid 10 seconds before turning just enough to reveal a grim smile.
  67. >You hear something coming from behind, and fast. Instinctually, you duck to avoid the blow. It was a comically large baseball bat, swung by nothing.
  68. “Ha! You fucking idiot! I can hear things like that coming from a mile awa–”
  69. >The bat swings immediately back in the opposite direction, hitting you square in the temple knocking your vision – as well as the rest of you – out.
  70.
  71. >”Yoo-Hoo… Little baby, it's time to get up from your nappypoo…”
  72. >Your eyes shoot open and a throbbing sensation comes to the side of your head. You jump off of he bed and to the floor, teeth bared and ready to tear this fucker apart.
  73. >Discord rolls his eyes and removes the maids outfit he was wearing while he was floating over your bed.
  74. >”Please, either put those teeth away or go brush them. You're stinking the place up with their foul odor.”
  75. >You huff indignantly, sit down, and return your teeth to normal. Out of nowhere, the horrible throbbing hits you again, forcing you to hold your head and groan in pain.
  76. >Scanning over the area yourself, it seems that you have a concussion. Ugh. Fuck. You quickly set your body to the task of repairing the injury. You really hated to do it, considering that they took much more energy to repair than most would consider worth it… Most… But you weren't going to fucking live with a concussion, period.
  77. >Also, speaking of energy, you were fucking starving. Guess that's what you get for discharging over a sample of DNA like a fucking idiot.
  78. >”Excuse me!”
  79. >Discord abruptly moves down to you and snaps his talon in front of your face a few times, transforming the room around you from a bedroom, to a desert, to a jungle, to the living room, to outer space, to the inside of a sperm whale enjoying an existential life of discovery and falling from the sky next to a similarly falling vase of petunias on a very distant planet in a very different dimension, and back into your room all so fast that you couldn't even process it all. It left you completely disoriented, which didn't help the throbbing pain already stuck inside your head.
  80. >”Snap out of that inner soliloquy I'm sure you're having and pay attention! I have big plans for today and I can't afford you screwing it up for me.”
  81. “W-What?”
  82. >You were preoccupied with trying your best to not fall on your ass as he talked.
  83.
  84. >Discord must've noticed this, because with a snap and a small stream of white light, your dizziness and headache disappeared completely. Quickly performing diagnostics on yourself, you were both surprised and alleviated to know that your concussion had completely disappeared.
  85. >”There. Now, listen. We are going to a very important pony’s house, and you're going to behave exactly as I say and in no other way. Understand?”
  86. >Shaking your head to clear it from the tingling sensation residing there, you readied yourself for an argument. You wanted to annoy the jerk at least.
  87. “And what if I don't want to play along with your stupid game?”
  88. >Discord stayed at perfect eye level with you and gave a simple smirk.
  89. >”Then you can forget about your three wishes and I'll just keep you locked up in your room for the rest of your life. How's that sound?”
  90. >You don't move, you stay strong in your stance, anger burning in your gaze. The only movement that was made was a tick of your eyes.
  91. >It was enough for Discord though.
  92. >He chuckled deeply at the sight.
  93. >”Good choice.”
  94. >Straightening up, he put his paw on his hip.
  95. >”Now then, any questions before we’re on our way?”
  96. >Your stomach, as if perfectly on cue, revealed your hunger.
  97. “Can I eat before we go?”
  98. >Without a second thought, Discord snapped, and before you appeared a large plate with what appeared to be sunny-side-up eggs and a whole ham. You didn't know for sure since both the yolk of the eggs and the meat of the ham were completely green. That, though, was not the problem.
  99. “This isn't gonna fill me. I need energy from LIVING things.”
  100. >He rolled his eyes once more at your statement.
  101. >”Oh quit being a baby, you'll survive on that for now. You only ate a day ago, you won't starve. So, eat what's there and make it quick so we can go.”
  102. >You huff, but ultimately, you knew there was no arguing with him at this point.
  103.
  104. >Looking at the steaming meal set on the floor in front of you, you figured it couldn't hurt. You'd at least get a little energy out of it, and a little extra from the bone in the ham.
  105. >Sharpening your teeth you take only five bites from the ham before all that’s left is the bone. You quickly swallow up the eggs before moving on to taking the bone from the ham into your jaws, crushing it l, and swallowing it with such ease that it would put an alligator to shame.
  106. >As soon as you take that last swallow, you're transported with a snap.
  107. >You were in the a clearing of a forest, and in front of you was a building you've never seen the likes of before.
  108. >It was a house, except not as one might picture it. It was brightly colored and had cages, and birdhouses, and animals all over the place. There was a small bridge going over a fittingly small stream, connecting either path leading up to the cottage.
  109. >Once again, it would've been a rather peaceful and extraordinary sight to any normal being, that is, if said being wasn't a hunter…
  110. >...or starving…
  111. >...or you…
  112. >Your pupils become contracted into slits and your teeth sharpen. Even a subtle growl escapes from behind your teeth, which was enough to catch Discord’s attention. He examined you for a moment in confusion before his chaotic mind put one and one together to get seven, because that's just what makes sense in Discord’s wacky head.
  113. >He waves his paw in front of your face, clonks you on the head, and even threatens you, but all in vain. None of that mattered to you. It was all like a dream, you weren't sure if it was real or not.
  114. >But there was one thing that you knew was real.
  115. >A small, white rabbit nibbling carefully on a carrot.
  116. >Just nibbling…
  117. >Maybe just a nibble for you too…
  118.
  119. >You start to slowly but surely prowl your way towards the rabbit. The bottoms of your hooves become soft, silencing your movement, and you feel several vertebrae including your tail and wings shift. You could also feel some fine muscle tuning somewhere.
  120. >Only at that very moment did Discord realize that this might not have been his smartest idea today.
  121. >A dainty humming could be heard and a small lock of a pink mane could be seen coming slowly around the corner.
  122. >He panicked. He took all of his superior parenting knowledge that he had learned in the past day and put them to use in the one thing he knew seemed to solve his problems with you before.
  123. >He snapped, and above your head appeared a cinder block.
  124. >You heard it. You heard it, felt it, smelled it, tasted it, so much so that you might as well have been looking straight at it. That didn't matter too much to you though. You weren't there at the moment.
  125. >With lightning speed, you twist your body and throw your tail, which was far heavier and longer now, up towards the block, smashing it to dust not even a few inches above your head.
  126. >You turn to Discord fully.
  127. >He was now really panicking. She had turned the corner, but her eyes were still lightly shut as she hummed.
  128. >Alright, he couldn't afford to screw around anymore.
  129. >Without warning, you pounce at him.
  130.
  131. >Not even holding his talon up, he snaps, turning you back to normal and sending you tumbling to the ground at his feet, knocked out cold.
  132. >Kneeling over you, he feigns concern as the yellow and pink pony runs over to see what happened. Whether she actually saw what happened or not, he wasn't sure.
  133. >There were three things he was sure of however.
  134. >You were dangerous. Much more dangerous than he first believed. That, he would remember, especially after witnessing that monster of a transformation, one that he refused to recite the details of back to himself.
  135. >Secondly, he would have to have a more “in depth” conversation with KK.
  136. >And last but not least.
  137. >This was all DEFINITELY more than he signed up for.
  138.
  139. >Only darkness and slight sounds surrounded you.
  140. >”Yes, he gets that way sometimes. I should've known better I suppose.”
  141. >”It’s alright. If anything, you recognizing that shows that you're learning. And in any case Discord, I'm proud of you.”
  142. >”Thank you Fluttershy.”
  143. >Then things grew silent.
  144. >And it was only then that you were able to recognize your own consciousness.
  145. >You were laying on your side on something cushy, springy even. You couldn't see what it was because your eyes were still closed. Maybe you should change that.
  146. >You were in what appeared to be the cottage you arrived at.
  147. >Really, it was the only thing you remembered, before you blacked out completely.
  148. >Regardless, you were in it, and, somehow, it was much bigger on the inside than it appeared to be on the outside.
  149. >There were pastel decorations lining the room and things like bird cages, mouse holes, feeders, and other things of the ilk filling the rest of the available space.
  150. >Standing in the opposite corner of the room from you was Discord and the yellow and pink pony, who, as you recalled, went by the name of Fluttershy, hugging it out.
  151. >You raise yourself up to a sit when a slight tinge of pain comes to your head. Feeling the area, it turned out that your head was bandaged, and further diagnostics told you that it was just a minor bruise.
  152. >The two stop their hugging. Fluttershy looks over and starts trotting towards you with a smile.
  153. >”Oh good you're awake!” She says in an amazingly soft voice, before suddenly halting upon receiving a tap on the...wither? Ah fuck it. On the shoulder from the currently floating Discord.
  154. >Looking back to Discord, she receives a tentative shake of the head.
  155. >When she turns back to you, she takes on a much more gentle tone. For one who talks to softly in the first place, you didn't think that was even possible.
  156. >”Hi there, my name is Fluttershy, what's your name?” She slowly and carefully approached as she spoke.
  157. “Anon.”
  158.
  159. >You speak softly and blandly, but not rudely, keeping in mind the role you needed to play.
  160. >She reaches you and sits in front of you so that she was basically eye level.
  161. >”It's nice to meet you Anon.” She puts out a hoof towards you. “I'm one of your fathers friends.”
  162. >You very gently bump it without saying anything, fearing that anything too much would break her.
  163. >”Oh, look at that! You even have a cute little snaggletooth like your father.”
  164. >That made you confused.
  165. >Quickly you reach up to your face, to feel the new canine hanging slightly over your bottom lip.
  166. >You were about to spout something extremely vulgar at Discord, but his death stare from behind Fluttershy discouraged that immediately.
  167. >”Oh, I'm sorry if you don't like it being pointed out. I won't do it again.”
  168. >She seemed to shrink back a little.
  169. >You forget about Discord for a moment to focus on playing your role.
  170. “It’s alright, I don’t mind.”
  171. >”Oh, well in that case it's still really cute. That reminds me too, I need to check that head of yours.”
  172. >She slowly and happily reaches up and unwraps the bandage from your head. While she does so you couldn't help but think…
  173. >With the way all of these ponies were acting, switching from one extreme to another at the snap of a finger, you were starting to figure they all had some weird personality disorder that you didn't notice before… Maybe a Cluster B disorder or even a diluted, quick-switch form of bipolar…
  174. >”There we go. Does it hurt at all?”
  175. >Focusing back on the matter at hand, you don't even bother feeling the spot, already knowing that your body had taken care of the minor injury.
  176. >Shaking your head, you toss some of your longer hair around gently. The yellow pony looks relieved at your response.
  177.
  178. >”That's good to hear, I thought it might’ve been worse than it looked.”
  179. >You didn't see how that was possible, it was just a bruise after all.
  180. >”Now that's taken care of, you must be hungry after all that excitement. How about an apple? Does that sound good?”
  181. >You were about to decline, but before you could, your stomach answered for you.
  182. >She gave a heart-warming smile and set off to a different room that looked like a kitchen through its entrance.
  183. >Just as she disappears into the doorway, you turn to Discord and unleash your passionate, silent rage at him, and he as well drops his facade of liveliness in favor of a more sour one.
  184. “What the fuck is this is this about?”
  185. >You hiss with a gesture to the new tooth protruding from your face.
  186. >”Pff! What about it?” Be whispers aggressively back at you.
  187. “What about it?! It's a fucking giant tooth sticking out of my face!”
  188. >”It’s no bigger than mine.”
  189. “It's fucking hideous!”
  190. >”Oh please, you haven't even seen it yet! How would you know? Besides, there's no way you can possibly be sitting there and telling me that your face could’ve gotten any worse than it already was.”
  191. >He gives you a smile that made you want to shred his face apart with your claws. But, not wanting to give the frail, yellow pony a heart attack when she comes back, you appeal to your better side for a moment and change the subject.
  192. >You irritatedly sigh.
  193. “Whatever. Why's the yellow one so sensitive anyways?”
  194. >He scoffs at you quietly.
  195. >”Her name is Fluttershy, not ’yellow one’. I didn't think you'd be so stupid that I'd have to tell you that outright. But to answer your question, it's simply how she is. However, it's also worth noting that she is acting slightly more so than usual since I had to cover up your fainting with a cleverly concocted ruse.”
  196.
  197. >The tinge of slyness in his voice near the end didn't convince you at all that it was as clever or as imaginative as he was making it out to be.
  198. “And that was?”
  199. >You didn't really care. Honestly, you didn't want to even know what happened after you blacked out.
  200. >He smiles genuinely.
  201. >”I simply said that you weren't the best at understanding others emotions at times, that you weren't good at expressing yourself, and that over-interaction with others could be stressful for you. That it was all just a part of you since you were born. I also said that all of the animals were probably the reason for your incident. Your welcome.”
  202. >He was happy about his contribution, so much so that you would even describe it as gay.
  203. >Your brain was frozen however.
  204. >There was some thought about if it was actually good or not after a while, but in the back of your head, you picked up key things.
  205. >Inability to recognize emotions. Problematic communication functions. Signs of antisocial behaviors.
  206. >You didn't even have to think about it really. It was your instinct to put such things together.
  207. >You burst out at Discord, hissing as loudly as you dared with Fluttershy in the other room.
  208. “YOU TOLD HER IM FUCKING AUTISTIC?!?!”
  209. >He was unimpressed by your display.
  210. >”Well, I thought you would like it, but never mind me that. And no, I didn't tell her that. Though if I did, it's not like you would have to act any differently than you already do. Either way, it doesn't matter. Just play your part. What's done is done.”
  211. “But why couldn't you have just told her some stupid shit about how I was shy and nervous about meeting someone new in a new place or something like that?! Maybe even tack on something about how I reminded you of her, if you're that close to her, and that's one more reason you chose me! Why couldn't you just say that!?”
  212.
  213. >Discord raised a talon in protest, but soon found it falling to the ground in a mushy puddle like melted ice cream.
  214. >Before any more could be said, Fluttershy turned the corner from the other room with a basket of apples in her mouth, forcing you and Discord back into your happy personas with a snap. Talk about being saved by the bell.
  215. >Setting the basket on the floor in front of the couch, Fluttershy sat down next to it.
  216. >”Sorry for the wait, I had to help the Canaries with a nesting issue.”
  217. >Hmm, so she works with animals. Cool.
  218. >Using her teeth, she grabbed one of the apples delicately by its stem and extended it towards you.
  219. >Not completely sure of how to properly accept the offering, you just settle for taking it between your two hooves.
  220. >It seemed to be acceptable enough though, since she thought nothing of it and moved to give Discord one as well, which he gladly accepted with a “Thank you” before slapping the fruit into the side of his head, making it disappear entirely.
  221. >Looking at your apple and feeling it out you sense some energy in it.
  222. >Freshly picked.
  223. >Embracing your opportunistic habits, you suck the energy out the apple, not forgetting to consume it after to keep up the ruse, then politely asking for another.
  224. >One by one, the basket is emptied of a dozen apples over the course of about ten minutes, during which no sound could be heard but the crunching of apples.
  225. >As you finish the last of the apples, Fluttershy speaks up.
  226. >”You were hungry, weren't you Anon.”
  227. >You shrug with enthusiasm, now in a better mood from a relatively full stomach.
  228. >”He's always had quite an appetite on him.” Discord interjects.
  229. >”I can tell, but at least he's eating well.”
  230. >”Yes, indeed.”
  231. >There was a moment of silence in the room before Discord once again spoke.
  232. >”Well, this was very nice Fluttershy, and thank you very much for the tea and food, but we have to be off now I'm afraid.”
  233. >”Alright then, that's fine.”
  234.
  235. >Fluttershy got up from her spot on the floor and, standing on her two hind hooves, gave Discord a hug.
  236. >”Thank you for coming over Discord, it always means a lot to me.”
  237. >He reciprocates.
  238. >”Of course Fluttershy. Anything for you.”
  239. >They hold their hug for a couple more seconds, then Fluttershy breaks it off, turns to you and gives you a hug.
  240. >Admittedly, you didn't like hugs, or really any form of close or extended contact with others, but this one was different in some way. It was comforting and warm. You suppose it could be attributed to the fact that she was extremely fluffy. Either way, it was too comfy for you to care too much about it.
  241. >After a moment, she pulls away, which you reluctantly oblige to.
  242. >”It was nice meeting you Anon, I hope we can talk more in the future.”
  243. >It was strange. All of her kindness in spite of what Discord told her. It was the exact opposite of what you expected – what any Tetran would have expected.
  244. >There was only one thing you could say.
  245. “Y-you too…”
  246. >She smiles at you, and you do so as well, with no detectable deceit at all this time and, knowing what was bound to happen, waved goodbye to her.
  247. >She did the same.
  248. >Then you were snapped away to who-knows-where by Discord.
  249.
  250. >As it turned out though, the who-knows-where in question was a familiar open field with a tree on a hill.
  251. >Without warning, Discord floated his way into your face with a hideous grin. You wish he would stop it with his grins and smiles, hideous or otherwise.
  252. >”And now it's time for the most anticipated event of the day!”
  253. >He slithered his way through the air up to the hill before you could respond, snapped up a lawn chair and some popcorn, and reclined himself while putting on a pair of red and blue 3D glasses.
  254. >You were about to start your way up the hill as well, but you were stopped by a tap on your shoulder.
  255. >Turning, you see her.
  256. >”Hello anon. Are you ready?”
  257. >You smirk at her.
  258. “That depends. Are you?”
  259. >You try to flare your wings as best as you could, but, as always, come up short.
  260. >KK didn't seem to care at all though.
  261. >“I'M not ready…”
  262. >She casually steps to the side, revealing a filly who quickly stepped up to take her place.
  263. >She had exactly the same appearance as KK. Green hair, green eyes, grey coat, and the same mark. She was also about your age if looks were any good for reckoning.
  264. >”...but SHE is.”
  265. >Instantly, anger filled you.
  266. “What?! You want me to fight her?! She's just a kid! I came here for a real figh–”
  267. >Before you could even finish your sentence, the filly had jumped, corkscrewed with amazing speed, and dealt and impressive kick to your head, sending you into the grass to your right.
  268. >It takes you a moment, but you stubble back to your feet and shake off the pain with a grunt.
  269. >”You were saying?” Said the filly with a giggle.
  270. >Her voice was similar, but higher than KK’s.
  271. >Alright...you didn't really like hitting girls, especially young ones...but this will be an exception.
  272. >KK stepped in between the both of you before anything could kick off though.
  273. >”I assure you Anon, if you weren't already convinced by her lovely acrobatics, lil’ me here is more than suited for someone of your stature.”
  274.
  275. “Hold the fuck up, I made a deal to fight YOU, not some fucking kid!”
  276. >”Like I just said Anon, she is me. She's just the more playful side of me.”
  277. “But why–”
  278. >She quickly covered your mouth with her hoof.
  279. >”Two answers. The first: Because. The second: Remember my advice.”
  280. >You could tell that that was the end of the conversation, so you do as she says.
  281. “Fine.”
  282. >”Good! Then are you both ready?” She asks as she casually walks towards the only hill.
  283. “Definitely.”
  284. >”Mhm…”
  285. >”On your marks…”
  286. >You dig your hooves into the grass.
  287. >”Get set.”
  288. >Little KK smiles.
  289. >”GO!”
  290. >She sets off at incredible speed, bounding her way towards you in a zigzag pattern.
  291. >You stood perfectly still, watching her every movement. You could keep up with her.
  292. >She comes to her last bound and lunges at you from your right, hoof drawn back for a punch.
  293. >You rear up and cross your forehooves in front to absorb the shock of the blow.
  294. >Without warning though, she swings her hoof down, missing you completely and wedging it into the ground, giving her the leverage to push back and deal a powerful kick to your jaw.
  295. >Your sent tumbling away from her, but recover quickly.
  296. >Unfortunately, not quickly enough. She was already back on you with another punch, a real one this time.
  297. >You barely get your hoof up in time to block the hit, sending a jarring pain up through your shoulder.
  298. >You take your chance to reciprocate.
  299. >You swing right at her head, only to meet the resistance of air.
  300. >She had twisted just beyond your blow.
  301.
  302. >Grabbing your extended foreleg and pivoting on a single leg, she pulls you along in a wide circle, compromising your center of gravity and sending you flying away from her.
  303. >Surprisingly, as you weren't paying attention to your surroundings due to the lack of them, your back crashes into the only hill in the vicinity.
  304. >She jumps at you with both hooves raise over her head.
  305. >You couldn't move, the air having been knocked out of your lungs on impact with the hill.
  306. >She brought them down on you.
  307. ------------------------------------------
  308. >You manage to turn around from your leisurely stroll up the hill just in time to see a large plume of dust erupt from the side of it, matched with an appropriate crash.
  309. >Just as expected.
  310. >You turn to Discord.
  311. “Enjoying the show so far?”
  312. >He turns to you with glee.
  313. >”Oh-ho-ho, you have absolutely NO idea!” He says as he crunches down on another bite of popcorn.
  314. >There was another crash and puff of dust.
  315. “Good, and I imagine you weren't having too much trouble handling him.”
  316. >He got slightly upset at the comment
  317. >”For your information, I've kept everything perfectly under control, no thanks to you.”
  318. >Hmm, his sassiness rubbed you the wrong way for some reason. It was misplaced.
  319. “I've given you all the help you need.”
  320. >Another crash.
  321. >”You may think so, but I think it's a pretty important detail that he can change into a monster at any time.”
  322. >What?
  323. “What?”
  324. >There was no crash this time. No plume of smoke. Instead, there was a loud thud and a grey figure being shot out of the thick cloud of dust.
  325.
  326. >You hit the ground hard and roll for several yards before coming to a halt.
  327. >Quickly composing yourself, you look back into the far away dust cloud you kicked up. Out from it came something you didn't expect.
  328. >It wasn't the colt named Anon. You were hesitant to even call it a pony at all.
  329. >The monstrosity that had emerged was the same size and color of the colt you were fighting, as well as extremely dirty. Everything else was distorted.
  330. >His front hooves had claws that resembled that of a dragon and his tail was no longer a hairy tail, but a sleek, thick tail with a ridge of spines running down the back and two horrific, forked, and bent bones protruding from the end of it.
  331. >He flared his feathered wings up fully, revealing a second, membranous, wyvern-like set underneath that also flared up to their full extent.
  332. >His eyes were crazed, animalistic to the fullest extent.
  333. >With blinding speed, he sprints the distance separating you, using his wings to propulse himself forward even faster.
  334. >When within range, he pounces and slashes out with both of his claws.
  335. >You pirouette to the side, dodging his main attack, but are caught off guard by his tail, which catches you by your neck, the brutal hooks digging harshly into your spine.
  336. >Catching the ground with his claws, he flings you far off with his momentum.
  337. >You hopelessly try to stabilize yourself mid-flight, only to be interrupted when he quickly catches up using his wings and slashes once again.
  338. >Flailing, you manage to narrowly minimize his hit, reducing what would have been a total gutting to a series of very light gashes on your chest.
  339. >Your flailing, however, didn't help in avoiding his tail, which smacked you in the same spot as that his claws had hit, doubling the pain in the area and sending you crashing into the grass.
  340. >You fight through the pain to get up and prepare for his next attack, but, apparently, for no reason.
  341.
  342. >There was no next attack.
  343. >He was standing there, staring you down, his tail swishing back and forth like a pendulum.
  344. >He was waiting for your move.
  345. >You try to control your breathing, which was now very shaky and hard-pressed.
  346. >Lightly touching your chest with your foreleg  stings and stains the limb a dark red.
  347. >That's not good.
  348. >Still, you weren't going down without a fight.
  349. >Emulating your first attack, you zig zag your way over to him.
  350. >He grins and prepares for the obvious attack.
  351. >You reach him and do the same as before: a single feigned punch.
  352. >He dodges.
  353. >You plant down and kick up.
  354. >He dodges.
  355. >You were prepared though.
  356. >Using the push off to gain height, you clasp your forearms around his neck, bringing him off of the ground, and, twisting, planted yourself on the ground, brought him over you, and slammed him into the ground, back first.
  357. >The force was so great that the ground cracked under the impact and dust was thrown up, once more, in a great plume.
  358. >The impact broke his back. It had to.
  359. >Sure enough, he didn't get up or move at all.
  360. >It was lucky for you.
  361. >You take a few exhausting steps forward to get a look at him from over his side.
  362. >He…he actually was kinda–
  363. >Nope! Nononono NO! No stupid thoughts like that. She'll kill you. Just stay out of it.
  364. >You heard KK shout something from the distance, but your ears were ringing thanks to the beating you just took.
  365. >As quickly as the voice came and went, the figure below you reanimated, grabbing you in a death grip with his claws and springing into the air with such velocity that you had to close your eyes.
  366.
  367. >You struggled in a last ditch effort to escape.
  368. >It was pointless.
  369. >He had already wrapped his tail around you and latched it to himself to keep you secure.
  370. >It was just a waiting game now.
  371. >You didn't know how high you were, but at some point he stopped flapping both sets of wings.
  372. >Then the fall ensued.
  373. >You were left to only count how long it was.
  374. >One…
  375. >Two…
  376. >Three...
  377. >Four…
  378. >Five…
  379. >Six…
  380. >Seven...
  381. >Eight…
  382. >Nine…
  383. >Te–
  384. ---------------------------------------------------
  385. >You turn to KK quickly, but she was already gone.
  386. >She had taken immediate action, teleporting into the dust.
  387. >You do the same, finding her picking up the grey filly with her teeth by her mane from a good sized crater in the ground, a normal Anon lying unconscious next to her hooves.
  388. >”Grab him and follow me.” She calls hastily through a mouth of hair.
  389. >She was panicking.
  390. >That wasn't a good sign.
  391. >Forgetting that, you grab Anon with your magic and do as you're told once she disappears, unquestioningly following her to wherever she pleased.
