  7. >You are Anonymous and you're about to smack a bitch!
  8. >You're standing inside the main lounge of Twilight's castle.
  9. >The mentioned purple p0ne is lying badly hurt behind you.
  10. >Using 'your' magic you managed to get her and Spike away from Rainbow's hooves range.
  11. >Right now, cyan p0ne is standing in front of you, trying to borrow a hole in your head with her gaze.
  12. >Twilight, holding still unconcious Spike in her hooves, is trying to say something to her.
  13. >Probably she wants her to stop whatever she wants to achieve with her destructive behavior.
  14. >All that she managed to say was some incoherent babbling mixed with choking on her own blood.
  15. >Guess, being deprived of magic power and beaten to a pulp by one of your best pals can do that to a princess of friendship.
  16. >Carefully observing Bluefast, you managed to remove magic damper from Twilight's horn.
  17. >You knew that its effects would hold for at least half an hour, so she rather won't be helpful to you at all.
  18. >Regardless, you didn't want her to suffer more than she realy have to.
  19. >There was no time to even think about healing her and Spike in any way, because Rainbow started to circle you around.
  20. >She wanted to get her hooves on Twi once more, it was clear.
  21. >You raised your hands in a stopping gesture.
  22. "What are you doing Dash?! Stop it, or I'll have to hurt you for your own good!"
  23. >Heh, you clearly remembered she told you that line some time ago.
  24. >She smiled viciously.
  25. >"You won't stop me bucking monkey, you're too slow."
  26. >Did she forget just how quick you can be, if you really want to?!
  27. >Also, why was she so determined to hurt her?!
  28. >She was her friend, princess, and a fellow element bearer, what happened to the cyan p0ne?!
  29. >Your blissful ignorance was dispelled by Nightmare.
  30. >~"She is NOT the one you take her for! She is not even a pony, I don't detect any pegasi magic from her!"~
  31. >Well shit, you knew what that meant.
  32. >She is probably a fucking griffon doppelganger spy biatch!
  33. >Now that changes everything.
  34. >Nevertheless, you don't want a repetition form Hard Feather's imposter.
  35. >You need to act wisely, you don't want to have another dead griffon spy wannabe on your account.
  36. >Unconscious would surely suffice.
  37. ~"Nightmare, we need to take it easy with her, I don't want to erase her from existence, do you understand?"~
  38. >Before she can respond Rainbow's copy sprang into action.
  39. >She jumped in Twilight's direction.
  40. >You were already in her path, trying to catch her as 'delicate' as you could.
  41. >She anticipated this
  42. >In the last second she lowered her mad flight.
  43. >Using all the power her speed gave her, she stomped your foot, with both of her back hooves.
  44. >With a loud crack of wooden panels it almost sank into the floor.
  45. >If not for your enhanced state, she would surely break your fucking foot!
  46. >Using one of her front hooves, 'Dash' punched your ballsack almost at the same moment.
  47. >You clearly felt that one.
  48. >It wasn't the 'you won't have any children anymore' pain, but you could say, she had put all of her strength into that shot.
  49. >You instinctively bend down to grab your 'valuables'.
  50. >She wanted this from the start.
  51. >Using your bending knee as her footing, she jumped off it and uppercut you in your lower jaw.
  52. >Something in your head yelled 'shoryuken!' when she done that!
  53. >You could taste blood in your mouth.
  54. >You bounced off the nearest wall.
  55. >~"STOP PLAYING WITH HER!"~
  56. >Well, she was something else than Hard Feather's copy.
  57. >That cyan doppelganger surely know how to take advantage of Rainbow's body and skills.
  58. >With the corner of your eye you saw that she was already flying in Twilight's direction.
  59. >Why was she so determined to get her?!
  60. >She was a walking proof, that they have Rainbow caged somewhere, so the elements were of no use now.
  61. >Whoever they were, they must have planning something grand, for one of their spies to attack the princess like that!
  62. >Judging from her bending hoof and the angle Bluefast copy was approaching Twilight, she was trying to hit her windpipe.
  63. >So yeah, she was here to off one of your first, true friends as fast as possible.
  64. >That meant no more fucking mister nice guy Anon, for her!
  65. >Using all of your inhuman speed, you grabbed one of her back legs in a blink of an eye.
  66. >You spun her around, drawing a full arc in the air with her body and smashed her hard onto the floor!
  67. >She bounced off cracked wooden panels, coughing saliva mixed with blood everywhere.
  68. >Before she got the chance to land on them again, you kicked her in the ribs.
  69. >You could swear at least two of them cracked.
  70. >In the rain of shattered glass, she collapsed with the sideboard on the other side of the room.
  71. >No-fucking-body will try to hurt a pony, which gave you home, when you most needed it!
  72. >When she tried to stand up on her wobbly back legs, you tackled her like some crazy rugby player.
  73. >Both of you completely destroyed the sideboard with all of its contents.
  74. >Still in motion, you saw there was a half of a broken plate sticking out of 'Rainbow's' back.
  75. >Regardless, you catched her mane in the air and threw her at the big table at the center of the room.
  76. >She spun around and moving it, she hit its edge with her belly.
  77. >Then she fell on the ground like a bitch she was.
  78. >However, she was still standing up.
  79. >Like Hard Feather's copy, she was one tough cookie.
  80. >Being half-conscious, she still wanted to fight!
  81. >How to contain her without killing her?!
  82. >One quick consultation and a few insults from Nighty later, you had got your answer.
  83. >You expanded your hands, palms down, at your sides.
  84. >There was a dark blue and jade energy pouring out of them onto the floor.
  85. >Its billowing volumes changed in two dark earth pony like figures, with glowing eyes, almost like it was in Diamond Tiara's illusion case.
  86. >They engaged the cyan impostor, almost immediately after their creation.
  87. >They were 'programed' to restrain her movements.
  88. >She was fighting them with all the might she could muster.
  89. >One of them bit her in her shoulder.
  90. >That was a wakening call for her.
  91. >Kicking and screaming, she turned them into the disappearing mass of dark energy.
  92. >That was no problem for you.
  93. >They were just a distraction.
  94. >That ruse bought you enough time to collect all of the water inside of this room.
  95. >The contents of all of the flower vases and drink glasses from it was levitating in small bubbles beside you.
  96. >With clenched teeth cyan p0ne doppelganger tried to fly again.
  97. >You couldn't let that happen.
  98. >'You' shoot some of the water around you in her direction, under a really big pressure.
  99. >It was like shooting laser beams at her!
  100. >You managed to hit one of her wings and both of her back legs.
  101. >The liquid simply pierced her skin, flesh and bone, leaving a small bleeding hole behind it.
  102. >It was a brutal method, that was sure.
  103. >Although, you didn't had time to try to restrain her 'peacefully'.
  104. >Spike was quite alright because of his dragon durableness, but Twilight needed immediate medical attention.
  105. >The more time you would waste on this cyan cumstain, the closer she was to a really irreversible injures.
  106. >Luckily, your ungentlemanly method worked on the fake Dash.
  107. >With her pierced limbs, she won't do much in terms of moving and attacking you now.
  108. >Of course you planed to heal her, right after taking care of Twilight's and Spike's wounds.
  109. >They would help you restrain her, you would help them to question her about what was going on and where was the real cyan p0ne.
  110. >Having her full power, Nightmare could use mind reading magic of the highest degree.
  111. >Apparently, you were too quick to form such bold plans in your head.
  112. >Lying on the floor, Rainbow's copy started to laugh like mad.
  113. >"You really think you've won, do you?!"
  114. >She clenched her teeth once more and... punched herself in the snout!
  115. >After that, she spited one of her molars on the floor, before her.
  116. >Has she gone totally bonkers?!
  117. >She raised her front hoof in the air and looked at you.
  118. >"With or without the third ruler, you will lost your precious capitol! It won't matter I failed in the long run!"
  119. >SAY WHA... wait a second, there was something funny with that tooth!
  120. >It glittered like some kind of a gemstone inside.
  121. >~"STOP HER! THIS IS A CAMOUFLAGED RETURN STONE!"~
  122. >Before you could even lift your hand, she crushed it with her hoof.
  123. >With a bright flash and a loud bang there was one less being in the room.
  124. >She managed to escape!
  125. >You didn't had time to rage about it, as much as you would like to.
  126. >You quickly walked up to Twilight.
  127. >She was looking at you with unfocused gaze.
  128. >Yep, she was close to lose her consciousness.
  129. >You gently grabbed her head.
  130. ~Okay Nighty, time to heal her."~
  131. >There was no reaction from her.
  132. ~"Nightmare, I'm wasn't joking!"~
  133. >She huffed loudly.
  134. >~"Why would I USE any of my powers to help the architect of my DEFEAT!?"
  135. >Damn, it won't help to tell her that she gave her and you home and was one of your friends.
  136. >Luckily, now you had one more 'lever' to pull, if you ever wanted to get something from her.
  137. ~"Listen, I'm sure if you do that you get some extra points in Scoots eyes, because now I suspect that she thinks Twilight's magic is stronger than yours."~
  138. >You crossed your imaginative fingers for this to work.
  139. >Moonie just laughed.
  140. >~"You think it is so easy to FOOL me into helping her?! To use your own daughter in an argument like that, SHAME on you!"~
  141. >Did... did you just have been reprimanded for bad behavior, by no other than Nightmare Moon!?
  142. >Sucks, it was in that kind of a situation.
  143. >Twilight was getting more and more pale.
  144. >~"I will DO what you want, but not for you or her! When she will finally learn someday, it was I who helped her MISERABLE self, it will be her ultimate demise and shame for the REST of her life!"~
  145. >You think, it won't probably be such a big deal for Twi.
  146. >All in all, it can even be a proof for her, that Nightmare was on the 'good' side now.
  147. >Let's just say you were not stupid enough, to share your thoughts about it, with Nighty at that moment.
  148. >There was already a powerful healing magic flowing through your hands and closing purple p0ne's wounds.
  149. >She looked a little concerned with what you were doing to her.
  150. >You smiled trying to calm her.
  151. "Don't worry, I'm just trying to help you. I'm sorry, but right now I can only close your wounds and take care of your most serious injuries. The rest you will have to heal when you regain your own magic."
  152. >Yeah, because Nightmare's 'compassion' for her was limited like that.
  153. >You hoped she would forgive you for this and not waking up Spike.
  154. >With his natural resistance to magic, he will have to wake up on his own accord.
  155. >Twilight was already feeling better, because she she started to ask questions.
  156. >"W-What Rainbow had said before she disapeared, s-something about C-Canterlot?"
  157. >You looked at her with serious gaze.
  158. "For starters, it wasn't Rainbow Dash, I'm afraid she was a griffon doppelganger and real Rainbow is held against her will, somewhere in the Griffon Kingdom."
  159. >That made her pupils turn to pinpricks.
  160. "As for what she was talking about, It was some lunatic babbling about 'them' taking over our capitol or something like that. Nothing you should really believe in, if you ask me."
  161. >That purple p0ne couldn't be more disturbed with what you said there.
  162. >She looked at you with a very frightened expression.
  163. >"Y-You should believe in every word. I know you saw, that I was saddened every time I spoke with princess Celestia or was away in some princess duty. There was a reason for that."
  164. >She gulped loudly.
  165. >"Griffon king went really crazy some time ago. He severed any diplomatic relations and started to insult princess Celestia openly. He was stating that we ponies were to full of ourselves and we should watch our backs. Any relationship between our lands fell apart."
  166. >She looked at sleeping spike.
  167. >"Anon, I'm afraid that they stopped being afraid of three princesses combined power and a-attacked Canterlot. Before you ask, without Rainbow the elements are useless. One time we tried to compensate for her with Spike and it wasn't a pretty sight to see."
  168. >You were about to freak out, but 'somepony' had beat you to this.
  169. >Both of you heard a loud *THUD* behind you.
  170. >In the doorway stood wide eyed Derpy who just dropped her mail bags on the floor.
  171. >She must had something for Twilight and Spike and unintentionally just heard her.
  172. >"C..C-Canterlot? D-DINKY WENT THERE ON A SCHOOL TRIP TODAY!"
  173. >She was shaking seriously dis... SAY WHAT!?
  174. >Holy fucking flying shit!
  175. >Scootaloo was in the same class with her!
  176. >She... she really was your daughter, for her to end up in that kind of troubles, right after almost being dead from yours and Celestia's duel!
  177. >She have your level of 'luck' and you were fed up with it already!
  178. "Don't worry, I got this! I FUCKING GOT THIS!"
  179. >Before any of them had any chance to answer to that, you jumped through the window, shattering it to pieces.
  180. >Because fuck doors and all!
  181. >Nightmare was already unfurling 'your' energy wings.
  182. >Almost immediately achieving mach 3 speed, you flew in Canterlot direction.
  183. >You hoped that Twilight would calm down Derpy and quickly prepare some rescue mission for Dash or the attacked capitol.
  184. >Flying there in a blinding speed, you saw some black smoke over the city.
  185. >There was probably first fights starting between royal guard and the invading forces.
  186. >The siege of Canterlot has begun and Scoots was out there somewhere, with her friends and teacher.
  187. >Looking for a train station, the first location they could have been at that time, you were afraid of something more than just your daughter's well being.
  188. ~"Nightmare, I know this will bite me hard in the ass in the future, but I need to ask you something!"~
  189. >She was all ears.
  190. >~"BE QUICK ABOUT IT!"~
  191. >You closed your eyes.
  192. ~"W-When things go astray and there will be no other option than us or them, I could be to weak to... to finish what I started. For Scoots sake, please don't let my... my conscience get in the way and
  193. ultimately fail her."~
  194. >You will do anything for your family, even if it meant to sell yourself to the lowest of emotions and actions.
  195. >Because, like you once told Celestia, there are moments in life when you need to face the facts and if there is no other way, get your fucking girly hands dirty.
  196. >There was only silence for a while from her.
  197. >~"Pray that it won't ever come to this, but rest assured, that I won't sell our or Scootaloo's life cheap to anypony."~
  198. >She sounded really serious.
  199. >Without bothering to slow down, in a rain of broken pavement pieces, you landed on Canterlot's train station.
  200. >Looking around, you quickly saw there was nobody around.
  201. >Good maybe she was quick enough to hide and you are close enough for Nightmare to cast her tracing spell successfully.
  202. >Before you could ask her about it, you noticed you were surrounded by at least five griffons.
  203. >Some of them were standing on train station roof and the others on top of the train wagons.
  204. >What you assumed was their leader or sergeant spoke to you in a low tone.
  205. >"What are you? Have the ponies really gone mad with their love and tolerance and allow that kind of an abomination, to walk freely among them?"
  206. >Did a fucking cat and bird hybrid just called you an abomination?!
  207. >Fuken hilarious!
  208. >You crossed your forearms on your chest.
  209. >There were big ass energy claws at the end of them already.
  210. >Moonie wasn't playing this time, you should mentioned her somehow in your quick introduction.
  211. "You may call me Nightmare Anon and I will be your opponent for today!"
  212. >He and his 'men' prepared their weapons and magic scrolls.
  213. >"Good enough for me. Let's see what you are made of!"
  214. >The jumped at you, all at once!
  215. >You just sighed and sprang into action yourself.
  216. >
  217. >You are princess Luna, the ruler of the night.
  218. >You are lying on the stone floor of the throne room.
  219. >How did this happen?
  220. >Simple, you were thrown at it, with great force.
  221. >A few moments ago, you were unceremoniously woken up by your night guards.
  222. >Before you could show your displeasure they updated you on what was going on.
  223. >Apparently, that buffoon, griffon king had finally gone mad and ordered his forces to invade Canterlot.
  224. >How was they able to suprise the royal guard, which was already put on a general state of alert?
  225. >They were pouring into the capitol from beneath the ground!
  226. >It was really strange, because they were behaving very un-griffon like.
  227. >A griffon is many things, but not one of them is a good digger.
  228. >It looked like they had help from outside of their kind.
  229. >If they suddenly started to cooperate with, for example diamond dogs, you were ready to belive in thier king's true insanity.
  230. >Encountering their loud protests, you sent your guards, so they could help in the however and whenever they could in the first stages of the invasion.
  231. >You yourself quickly teleported to the throne room, to seek your sister.
  232. >You won't allow for the repetition from the changeling invasion, when she needed you and you were sleeping like some unaware foal!
  233. >This time she will have her sister at her side!
  234. >This time... you were late again.
  235. >When you showed yourself in the throne room, Celestia was already sprawled half conscious on the carpet, near her throne.
  236. >There was a magic damper on her long horn and you exactly know who had put it there.
  237. >To get yourself close enough to achieve that kind of a feat, one must have been from the royal guard and there was one standing beside her with an evil smile on his snout.
  238. >Was he a changeling?!
  239. >No, it was impossible.
  240. >To avoid a repeat of their invasion, powerful enchantments were cast in Canterlot and other big cities, which would thwart any attempt of using their type of magic power.
  241. >Especially their disguise magic.
  242. >How would anypony hide his true identity bef... that bucking magic potion!
  243. >It was so rare, that you didn't even thought about adding its effects to what the enchantments were detecting!
  244. >With a great effort Celestia were trying to tell you something, but didn't get her chance.
  245. >"Oh my, what do we have here, a princess of the night herself!"
  246. >You also didn't got your chance to perform any action.
  247. >Instead you were hit with the most powerful spell ever!
  248. >Of course excluding the elements.
  249. >It deprived you of all of your powers in an instant!
  250. >It got Celestia written all over it, how was this possible?!
  251. >One look at her was enough to know why.
  252. >You didn't saw it earlier, but her mane wasn't moving at all.
  253. >It looked like when she gave her power to Twilight, before Tirek could took it away.
  254. >On a wobbly legs you turn to face the caster of the spell who apparently managed to achieved that.
  255. >What you saw, had put you in a state of surprise at first.
  256. >Apart from some unconscious royal guards, in the room stood a few griffon warriors and two other figures.
  257. >There was a griffon king, who had smiling queen Chrysalis on a leash standing right before you.
  258. >You thought she was his prisoner, but one look at his eyes told you it was the other way around.
  259. >It was Shining Armour all over again!
  260. >By controlling him she was controlling all of the Griffon Kingdom!
  261. >Griffons were known for their pride and honor, so no griffon weren't even insinuating, that the orders of their king were not his own, but his prised pet!
  262. >After all, nogriffon wouldn't want to be accused of not believing in his chosen king's true power of will.
  263. >Before he or she had any chance to say something, you jumped at her in an attempt to engage her in a hoof to hoof combat.
  264. >You could've been deprived of your power, but you would be damned if you stood and watch that ugly, smiling muzzle of hers, without puting some dents in it!
  265. >She was incredibly quick.
  266. >She intercepted you in the air and spinning around kicked you with her back leg in the ribs.
  267. >She really had stolen Celestia's power and added it to her own love-fueled one.
  268. >Her kick was like a punch from ursa major!
  269. >That's how you ended up on the floor.
  270. >She stood over you, in a proud royal pose.
  271. >You wanted so much to wipe that grin from her snout!
  272. "Enjoy this, while you still can. When the elements get here and believe me they will, you will cry instead of laughing!"
  273. >It didn't worked well.
  274. >Her grin couldn't been any wider.
  275. >"You know, I think I got this covered. Brig her in!"
  276. >None of the griffons in the throne room moved at all.
  277. >She growled dissatisfied.
  278. >Griffon king reacted to that.
  279. >"Are you all deaf, do what she says!"
  280. >With a grumpy look on her beak one of the warriors brought an unconscious pony, wrapped in chains, from one of the corridors that lead to the throne room.
  281. >It wasn't any pony, it was a bucking element of loyalty!
  282. >Except her 'sleepy' state and some bruises, she was alright, but her being here meant that the elements were useless now!
  283. >"A feisty one, I must say. 'My' warriors had some difficulties with her, before I had put her to sleep myself."
  284. >You clenched your teeth.
  285. "Her friends will never forgive you, if you hurt her. They had thwart your plans once, and they will do it again!"
  286. >She pointed at one of the rooms linked to the thorne room with her riddled hoof.
  287. >"Just in case you're right, I have some extra insurance, it fell into my hooves accidentally at the beginning of this invasion."
  288. >Following her gaze, griffon king gestured to one of his guards to open the door to that room.
  289. >What you saw, had boiled the blood in your veins.
  290. >There was a whole class of foals with their teacher sleeping on the floor.
  291. >She turned to you once more.
  292. >"'Nopony' would like to see something happen to them, am I right?"
  293. >You thought your fury couldn't been much greater.
  294. >It turned out, it was a day of surprises.
  295. >You saw Pipsqueak among them, it was a class from Ponyville!
  296. >She will not get her dirty hooves on your favourite little subject!
  297. >With a scream of defiance, you stood as quick as you could and attacked her once more.
  298. >She had catched you in her magic and smashed you a few times on the wall, near the entrance to that room.
  299. >When she was doing that, you saw somepony else there in a corner of your eye.
  300. >A little orange, purple maned filly you met recently in Ponyville.
  301. >Because of that, when you were finally dropped on the floor again, you started to laugh, instead of promising her a swift end.
  302. >She was at least confused by this.
  303. >"What is so funny? Have you gone mad, in a hope to escape your fate?"
  304. >You were more than happy, to provide her with an answer.
  305. "You should pray for the elements to get here, before a parent of one of this foals gets here and have a nice 'talk' with you!"
  306. >She squinted her eyes.
  307. >"You really lost it, why should I be afraid of a simple pony?!"
  308. >You stopped laughing and looked at her with a serious gaze.
  309. "He is not a pony and it would be wise for you to fear him. In his weakened state he was almost able to resist the power of us three. You should run while you still can."
  310. >Before she even got a chance to burst into a laughing fit, an ungodly, dark yell pierced the sounds of the invasion on the other side of the windows.
  311. >The glass shatered inside of the throne room from its intensity!
  312. >You smiled calmly.
  313. "Too late, he is already here."
  314. >You could swear you saw fear in her eyes at the moment, you said that.
  315. >
  316. >You are General Greydon, commander of the griffon armed forces.
  317. >You've been appointed to this position long before this ... mistake of a king.
  318. >You're clenching your taloned fists and squinting your only good eye, in a silent frustration.
  319. >The other one was lost in one of the numerous conflicts, which often started from the petty land disputes.
  320. >You wore your scars with pride, no matter where they were earned, so you were usually seen without your eye patch.
  321. >Right now though you are wearing it, standing with your most trusted advisors, on one of the highest towers of Canterlot palace.
  322. >From here you have an accurate view of your retreating invasion forces.
  323. >That failure of a siege was one of 'your' king's stupidest ideas till now.
  324. >Of course you wanted to prevent this and tried to reason with him, behind the closed doors of his private quarters.
  325. >Unfortunately, since when his prized 'pet' appeared at his side, he was not himself anymore.
  326. >Not long after she was dragged from the desert, he broke off any diplomatic relations with ponies.
  327. >Even as a simple warrior, you saw it was a really bad move.
  328. >Because of their powerful rulers, all kinds of magic at their disposal and stable economy, they were one of the most valuable allies, anygriffon could ever dreamed of.
  329. >Naturally you had your differences and squabbles from time to time, such was the griffons nature, but that crowned fool visibly crossed the line.
  330. >Seeing all of the mad scheming he was involved with his pet, since she became one, his growing tolerance for her crazy ideas and his deteriorating health, you clearly saw what was going on.
  331. >Instead of her, he should have been the one to wear that collar.
  332. >Your kind's limited knowledge about changelings was his downfall.
  333. >Of course your concerns have fallen on deaf ears, when spoken aloud.
  334. >If there was one thing a griffon hated the most, it was being wrong.
  335. >Chosen by that kind of subjects, their king was infallible in their eyes.
  336. >Even after he requested to detach so called 'Tartarus Gem' from his own crown and attach it to that dark viper's collar, there wasn't many, who openly criticized his decision.
  337. >You were the loudest of them, because it was a pure madness.
  338. >That gem was the only one of its kind!
  339. >It was your race most precious relict.
  340. >From the times long forgotten, it adorned the crown of many griffon kings and queens, as a symbol of power.
  341. >Form the moment she laid her clever eyes upon it, you saw how she was looking at it, mesmerized.
  342. >Almost nogriffon knew this, but in the talons of somegriffon who has a natural grasp of powerful magic, it was a potent magic device.
  343. >Its capabilities were apparently on a par with the legendary 'Alicorn Amulet' from the pony legends.
  344. >Some sources even claimed it could steal and contain magic of a one being, no matter how strong or weak and add its power directly to that of its owner.
  345. >Of course until it ran out of it.
  346. >If you had the being in chains, the stone could took its magic again, as soon as its body regained it in a natural process of regeneration.
  347. >That way, one could have an infinity sources of various magic powers within the reach of a talon.
  348. >You believed that some creatures held in the bowels of Tartarus had that kind of abilities, hence the name of this gem.
  349. >During your long duty, you saw some inconceivable things, so you were no ignorant to that knowledge.
  350. >Adding it to what you already saw, gave you a simple answer to a question of what was she trying to achieve.
  351. >Conquest and enslavement of every land filled with magic users, would gave her an 'absolute library of powers' to chose from at will.
  352. >There was no better choice of a first target than Equestria.
  353. >Some griffons even without her influence on king's decisions voiced their desire to teach ponies a lesson.
  354. >Their animosity to them, burried deep inside those thick bird skulls.
  355. >Now thinking about it, that siege was really no surprise for you.
  356. >What was, was your new 'allies', which helped your forces to get behind the walls of a well guarded pony capitol.
  357. >It was her 'subjects'.
  358. >They were small at numbers and looked like if they were through Tartarus and back.
  359. >Regardless that and your troops disgust with the little vermin, you had to tell they were a top-notch diggers.
  360. >It was a no-brainer to use that to your advantage.
  361. >Expecting the griffon presence everywhere, except under their own hooves, ponies were completely surprised.
  362. >However, now it didn't mattered anymore.
  363. >Some time ago, in your greatest dishonour, you gave an order to retreat.
  364. >You did it without consulting it with anygriffon, even with the king.
  365. >The reason of that decision was most 'exotic' one.
  366. >Yes, it is a good word to use.
  367. >How else would you name an ape like creature, almost entirely made of powerful, crackling energy, showing out of the blue on your battlefield?
  368. >At first, it tried to sneak past through it, into the palace grounds, without attracting much attention.
  369. >You thought it wasn't aware of who it were dealing with.
  370. >Griffon senses was that of a predator and your forces quickly caught on, to its presence.
  371. >It was quickly engaged by your most veteran warriors, who were not impressed with its demonic visage.
  372. >It had put up an incredible resistance!
  373. >With amazing speed and strength, it send down your best griffons, one after another, senseless on the ground.
  374. >Yes, it looked like it was afraid or unable to do more damage than this, to any of them.
  375. >Being chivalrous at the field of battle was something expected of a being from Equestria.
  376. >You respected that, but you swore to fight for your king, even if he wasn't himself anymore.
  377. >Through your complex network of scouts and flag signs, you gave out orders to stop this creature at all costs.
  378. >In your ignorance, you thought that if your forces quickly corner it with great numbers, it would be no problem for them to take care of this creature.
  379. >Then, all Tartarus broke lose.
  380. >With a few crossbow bolts and a broken sword blade in its chest, it leaned against a wall, of one of the pony buildings.
  381. >Surrounded by your warriors, it was breathing heavy and stopped fighting.
  382. >As it closed its eyes, you were sure it finally had accepted its fate and was waiting for a finishing blow.
  383. >Instead, it started to remove things stuck in its body.
  384. >Doing that, it told only one quiet sentence in your troops direction.
  385. >You were never good in reading pony like lips from afar, but that time you were almost sure what it had said.
  386. >It told them, they gave it no choice and that it's asking their forgiveness for what was about to happen.
  387. >When it opened its eyes again, it proved you to be very wrong, of being so sure of its fate.
  388. >Its eyes were different.
  389. >It were looking with a new found determination at your forces, with a slit, predator like pupils on a jade background.
  390. >Transparent black smoke was coming out of them.
  391. >Before any of your griffons could even react, it became a blur of activity.
  392. >This was not a pretty sight to see.
  393. >It started to use its deadly claws as it supposed to be used.
  394. >Every griffon that tried to stop it, was being dealt with, without mercy.
  395. >Like a caged animal, it stopped paying any attention to your troops survival.
  396. >Also, it began to use some really nasty combat magic on them.
  397. >They were electrocuted, pierced and even frozen on the spot, with deadly accuracy.
  398. >Desperate, some of your warriors utilized the power of the rare magic scrolls, which were commissioned to them, before the invasion.
  399. >Everything turned to chaos.
  400. >There were fireballs and magic thunderbolts flying everywhere!
  401. >The creature exploit it to its advantage and disappeared from your sight.
  402. >You thought it gave up on trying to get to the palace or even became ash, after being hit by one of the deadly spells.
  403. >Once more, you were wrong.
  404. >It flew away to the ponies 'side' of the conflict.
  405. >With your bird like sight, you found it exactly on top of their main command post.
  406. >It was quickly prepared on one of the highest buildings available to them.
  407. >From the look of things, that creature was also unknown to the Canterlot royal guard.
  408. >Before they got any chance to throw themselves at it, it teleported beside their main commander, captain of the guard.
  409. >It grabbed its horn, interfering with his magic and created a powerful barrier between them and the rest of his forces.
  410. >At first, the captain trashed and tried to fight with it, but the more it was talking, the less resistance he was exercising.
  411. >When it started to point at the different spots on the battlefield and explaining something to him, he looked like some kind of a realisation had hit him.
  412. >The captain nodded his head and told his guards to stand down.
  413. >After that, he started issuing orders, looking at the exact same spots on the battlefield, the creature was pointing at.
  414. >The situation changed dramatically!
  415. >With the strategic guidance from the creature, the royal guard managed to push back your forces, enough to evacuate every citizen that was caught in the fighting.
  416. >You were truly dumbfounded by this!
  417. >Your initial advantage turned into a fight with an opponent who quickly countered or used your every move against you!
  418. >It... it was impossible!
  419. >To have that kind of knowledge and experience in commanding an army like that, this creature had to be hundreds... no, thousands of years old!
  420. >Your forces were pushed back to the so called 'no-griffon's land'.
  421. >It was the parts of the capitol destroyed beyond any recognition, at the first stages of battle.
  422. >Then, the royal guard has retreat to the newly regained parts of the city.
  423. >You saw it as a first mistake from their 'unusual' commander.
  424. >At that moment you still had enough of griffons at your command to conquer the city.
  425. >Of course, after a much needed regrouping of your forces.
  426. >You gave the necessary orders.
  427. >While your troops were doing, what they were supposed to, you risked a look at the creature's doings.
  428. >It was standing at the edge of the ponies command post roof, with one of its limbs extended in your forces direction.
  429. >Their unicorn captain was standing behind it, with a pale look on his muzzle.
  430. >Then you felt the creature's gaze at you.
  431. >With it and its claws gestures, it was telling you to withdraw your forces out of the city.
  432. >You just crossed your talons on your chest.
  433. >You were sure it was too full of itself, thinking it could turn the tide of this battle, with some laughable scare tactic.
  434. >Right now, observing your retreating warriors, you regret you didn't agreed to its proposition.
  435. >When it saw your defiance against its suggestion, its eyes started glowing with even more jade like energy.
  436. >It released a few strange energy orbs from its extended limb, in the same color.
  437. >They flew at your griffons positions in a blink of an eye.
  438. >Where every single one of them had hit the ground, dozens of your troops just... evaporated.
  439. >In the jade flames of massive explosions, they didn't even had time to felt any pain.
  440. >It was the only mercy they got from the creature.
  441. >Frozen by that display of unimaginable power you took another look at the creature.
  442. >It was once again non verbally demanding from you to practically surrender the fate of this invasion on its favor.
  443. >This time it was surrounded with many more jade energy orbs, which were hovering lazily beside it.
  444. >It was a promise of a swift end, to even more than a third of your entire forces.
  445. >Accompanied by the cries of opposition from your advisors, you gave an order of full retreat, back to the Griffon Kingdom.
  446. >You may be sentenced for treason afterwards, but you will never be known as the one who made every family cry after its members, because of their stupid pride.
  447. >You were sure, the creature was able to create even more of those jade spheres of death and that this was your final warning.
  448. >You felt a gust of air around you.
  449. >Seeing there was nothing left for them here, your advisors had joined the retreat.
  450. >Against their good will, to stay at your side, you have sent your whole personal guards after them.
  451. >You saw that the pony royal guard hadn't moved from their positions, giving your forces much needed time and space for the retreat.
  452. >The creature on the other talon, was on its way to the palace.
  453. >There was one problem with that.
  454. >You didn't saw your king leaving it.
  455. >You couldn't just let this cursed creature lay its claws on him.
  456. >You had vowed to protect him, you have your honor and you also have a personal score to settle with it.
  457. >Drawing your personal weapon of choice, a beautiful scimitar, which you acquired on the fields of Saddle Arabia, you jumped off the tower you were standing on.
  458. >You flew near the walls of the palace throne room, to intercept the creature.
  459. >Your old bones and muscles were hungry for some good air combat.
  460. >It saw you before you were even near it.
  461. >It stopped in mid air and looked at you with disdain.
  462. >"You're lucky I have no time to play with you."
  463. >Its voice... never before in your long life, you heard such dark and powerful voice.
  464. >You were no coward though, so you held your sword at the ready.
  465. >The creature drawn a deep breath.
  466. >Suddenly, without any warning your ears had exploded with unexpected, paralyzing pain!
  467. >The creature was emitting an piercing, dark yell, its intensity way beyond the loudest sound you ever heard!
  468. >It caused you to drop your sword and crash land on the ground.
  469. >Half conscious, you felt there was blood coming out of your ears, nostrils, beak and even some of that hollow place, were long time ago you had your eye.
  470. >Despite the intensity of that battle cry, it wasn't enough to kill you.
  471. >Regardless, you knew your body and mind were switching off, from the pure shock and you will have a legendary headache when you'll wake up, in the pony dungeons.
  472. >The last sane thought that came through your head, was about your king's well being.
  473. >That bastard will finally get what he deserves for everything she made him do.
  474. >Then, there was only blackness.
  475. >.....
  476. >
  477. >You're Anonymous, or rather Nightmare Anon.
  478. >You are getting your ass handed by the one, which called herself queen Chrysalis.
  479. >She is practically mopping the floor with you!
  480. >And to think that when this fight began, you were the one who was winning.
  481. >After taking griffon commander out of the equation, you flew through one of the broken windows, inside the throne room.
  482. >Without stopping, in a blink of an eye you threw yourself at a bug like, black pony mare.
  483. >She was completely surprised.
  484. >You knew from the start, who to attack.
  485. >Before you get there, Nightmare used her strongest power to read emotions and magic emanating from others, in her closest vicinity.
  486. >She pinpointed her as the greatest threat for you and your daughter in the throne room.
  487. >You were suppose to dealt with her as quick as possible, if you ever wanted to go back to your peacefull life.
  488. >Flying through the throne room, with Chrysalis in your arms, she just managed to introduce herself and promise you a painful end.
  489. >Before you collapsed with a wall on the other side of the room, you saw sleeping Scootaloo and chained Rainbow in a corner of your eye.
  490. >You pierced the stone obstacle with the both of your bodies and didn't even stopped your mad flight.
  491. >Breaking through a few more walls, you tried to get as far as possible, to protect everyone you cared for, from any effects of the fight that was about to start.
  492. >You hoped that leaving battered looking Luna with four griffons was a good choice.
  493. >Nightmare informed you she was devoid of her magic at that moment.
  494. >Moonie was also a little reluctant to admit that even without it, Luna was an experienced hoof to hoof combat expert and could take care of herself in a fight with a few griffon warriors.
  495. >As you were about to get to the other side of the palace, with a shout of defiance Chrysalis forcefully opened her transparent wings.
  496. >That got her out of your crushing embrace.
  497. >Before, she could do anything else you grabbed her snout and landing on the ground, slammed her head on the stone floor.
  498. >The hard surface cracked and deformed itself from the impact.
  499. >Where the average pony would already be dead, she only has some scratches and shallow wounds on her head.
  500. >Those were already closing, green blood and meat disappearing from sight.
  501. >Holy shit, she also got a regenerative abilities and on par with yours to add to that!
  502. >You were so suprised by this fact, that you didn't noticed that she freed her head from your grasp.
  503. >Right after doing that, she had hit you with an uppercut to the stomach.
  504. >The whole corridor you were curently in, shaked from the power of it.
  505. >That had bent you, dangerously low.
  506. >Coughing blood you saw how she turned over, her back hooves in front of your face.
  507. >She tried to buck you hard with them, but you managed to doge that blow, by doing a quick upheaval over your shoulder.
  508. >She had lost her balance for long enough for you to stand up and kick her in the lower jaw.
  509. >You were pissed now, so that made her broke through the ceiling, sending her on the upper level, in a rain of debris.
  510. >Before you could fly up there, greater part of the room you were in was destroyed by the green magic blast from above.
  511. >Turned out, she was even more furious than you and started to utilize her strongest offensive magic.
  512. >Not long after that, almost half of the palace were destroyed by your deadly duel.
  513. >Everything burned with bright flames.
  514. >Smoke coming out of the fallen structures like towers, heavily decorated rooms and other parts of the palace was so thick, it was probably visible from the miles away.
  515. >If not for your 'advice' for the royal guards captain, that he should leave the rescue of royal sisters to you, there would be also a lot of dead ponies everywhere.
  516. >Breathing hard, Chrysalis and you were standing in that kind of a scenery, looking daggers at each other.
  517. >At that moment you wouldn't win a contest for the best looking living weapon, but she was in a far worse state.
  518. >She was at the limits of her power, covered in green blood.
  519. >Even her regeneration ability was overloaded by the damage, which you and Nightmare caused to her.
  520. >You let yourself believe you could win this fight, with just a little more effort.
  521. >Sensing your self-confidence, she started to laugh like mad.
  522. >"Do you really think you could defeat me?!"
  523. >She had a crazed expression on her 'face'.
  524. >"Do you really think you could take away my revenge?!"
  525. >She pointed with her riddled hoof at the direction of the still standing throne room.
  526. >"Ponies took everything away from me! My power, my dignity, my future! They even took away my children!"
  527. >She was talking through her clenched fangs.
  528. >"After they humiliated me, only a small part of them returned to me, others dead or convinced I was unfit to be their queen!"
  529. >She closed her eyes, her tone was dangerously low.
  530. >"The ponies made me look in the eyes of my own brood like a complete failure, unable to feed or care for them. They broke me and my children and only for that I will break and enslave them under my hoof. NO MATTER THE COST!"
  531. >She opened her eyes, new determination in them and touched her strange collar with her hoof.
  532. >It had a big, blood red gemstone attached.
  533. >It was miraculously undamaged during your fight, or was it not a coincidence.
  534. >"You think you're better than me?! Let me show you, what a real power look like! Pass my thanks to Celestia for that little gift in the afterlife, I will send her there soon after you!"
  535. >Her unusual horn started to glow brightly.
  536. >With a strange vibrating sound, there was eight 'power tentacles' growing out of the mentioned gem.
  537. >It looked like if a big, bloody spider sunk its legs in her neck.
  538. >Her eyes were glowing red now!
  539. >~"DESTROY THAT GEMSTONE! IT'S FEEDING HER WITH AN UNIMAGINABLE POWER!"~
  540. >Nighty didn't had to tell you this twice.
  541. >You alone felt the change in her.
  542. >All of her wounds disappeared into a thin air.
  543. >You had only one chance to crush this stone and it was now, when she was still focusing on it, instead of you!
  544. >Using your top level, super kenyan speed you jumped at her, in an attempt to cut this red shit to pieces with your power claws.
  545. >Unfortunetly, she saw that in time to catch you in her now red magic aura.
  546. >"Not so fast anymore, aren't we?!"
  547. >She slammed you on the ground with so much strength, you created a fucking crater with your body!
  548. >It turned out she was just starting your punishment.
  549. >You and Nightmare tried to fight back as best as you could, but it was a lost cause.
  550. >The only counter attacks, that were actually doing something to her, was the one powered by your quickly decreasing stamina and will power.
  551. >Even then, she was regenerating quicker than you ever could.
  552. >After a few minutes of a fight, which completly leveled more than a half of the palace, your body had enough.
  553. >Battered and groggy it gave up on giving you any support and almost stopped regenerating.
  554. >With her final blast of destructive energy, Chrysalis send you flying through the one of the throne room walls.
  555. >When you laid there, you saw that Nightmare was right about Luna.
  556. >Using only her physical skills, she had beat the shit out of the griffon king and his personal guards.
  557. >They were lying senseless in a various places inside of the room.
  558. >Battered and cut by griffon swords, she also managed to remove magic damper of Celestia's horn.
  559. >Big white alicorn was still very weak, her magic still affected by this powerful device.
  560. >She was only able to keep her eyes half opened and whisper something if the need arise.
  561. >Somehow Luna managed to drag her where Scoots and the others were still sleeping.
  562. >Now, the only alive ponies in the palace were piled up in a cubbyhole like room.
  563. >Luna of course was standing guard before its opened door, on her wobbly legs.
  564. >She was realy gaining your admiration there.
  565. >You could really believe she was a different pony now, than Nightmare 'modified' memory showed you.
  566. >Weak minded, greedy and traitorous were not the terms, which applied to her anymore.
  567. >She was looking at you with wide eyes.
  568. >Crap, she probably saw your eyes and was connecting some dots in her head.
  569. >Before you could stand up and say something to her, Chrysalis loudly barged into the throne room, showering it with even more debris.
  570. >She immiedietly was standing on top of your chest, pinning you to the ground.
  571. >She was probably planning to strangle you in front of the only witnesses available at the moment.
  572. >Nothing beats the classic, eh?
  573. >She did one mistake though.
  574. >Thinking that Luna was no danger to her, she showed her back to the princess of the night.
  575. >Crashing your ribs with gusto, she quickly learned that was a big oversight.
  576. >Luna threw herself on her, blocking her moves with her hooves and wings.
  577. >Still standing on you, Chrysalis started to trash wildly.
  578. >Straining to contain her, Luna was looking at you.
  579. >"DON'T JUST LAY THERE, DO SOMETHING USEFUL!"
  580. >Using all of your remaining strength, you grabbed her collar with the both of your hands.
  581. >Nightmare immediately directed her offensive magic, into your palms.
  582. >You knew what was going to happen, so you warned Luna as fast as you could.
  583. "Princess, let go of her, NOW!"
  584. >Surprisingly she had listened to you and jumped of her back.
  585. >Chrysalis smile of victory, quiclky turned to a grimace of pain, when a powerful electric charges started to run throught her body and attire she had on.
  586. >You gave all of your body's stamina in this final attack and it was worth it.
  587. >The big red gemstone had cracked and exploded into a million pieces!
  588. >The accompanying shock wave threw princess Luna away from the both of you, on the floor.
  589. >Standing on her shaky legs, Chrysalis was looking at her destroyed collar with disbelief in her now green eyes.
  590. >Not waiting for any reaction from her, you stand up and grabbed her front leg.
  591. >Turning on your heel, you threw her at the wall behind you.
  592. >When she hit it with enough power for it to collapse on her.
  593. >Once again you saw the whole damaged city of Canterlot, that just survived the griffon siege.
  594. >Chrysalis was now under the big pile of stone rubble.
  595. >With a fear in your eyes you saw, she almost immediately began digging herself out of it.
  596. >Then your sight failed for a second.
  597. >You dropped on all fours, having a lot of difficulties in catching your breath.
  598. "Wh..*huff* What..is..*huff*g-goin..on?"
  599. >Nightmare provided you with an answer.
  600. >~"Your body reached its limits. One more strain and you will lose your consciousness."~
  601. >NO!
  602. >Why now?!
  603. >You felt that Chrysalis was still very strong under that whole debris.
  604. >Before it cracked, that cursed stone must have at least restored her natural power to its previous state!
  605. >You looked behind you, at the sleeping form of Scootaloo.
  606. >The cruel fate just showed you its middle finger and decided that you will fail that little orange filly and her friends.
  607. >Nightmare was surprisingly quiet.
  608. >When she finally spoken she was calm and collected.
  609. >~"This is not your battle anymore, my dear Anonymous. It is time I show that whoarse, how a true queen fights."~
  610. >You huffed angrily.
  611. ~"T..This i-is not the time for jokes Nightmare. I feel you got some power left, but you can't leave my body to fight on your own. Have you already forget t-that?"~
  612. >Somehow you knew she was smiling.
  613. >~"Those are old news Anon. Now I can leave your body entaierly and I will do it, to protect my family."~
  614. >You couldn't belive that!
  615. ~"W-WHAT?! Why didn't you told me about th... Doesn't matter now, what about your 'power bleed' problem, it will be a big disadvantage for you from the start!"~
  616. >She started to laugh.
  617. >~"Oh my dear Anonymous, when do you start to believe in your queen? Besides there is no other choice, she will be free in a few seconds and I don't see anypony who could stand on its legs, not to mention fight that failure of a queen."~
  618. >You wanted to argue with her some more.
  619. >Without a warning she left your body with all of her power and presence.
  620. >It felt like if all of your blood poured out of you in one moment.
  621. >You laid on the floor shaking from all the coldness that grabbed your body in its clutches.
  622. >You felt strangely hollow and incomplete.
  623. >Then a big onyx wing covered you, it felt warm and soft.
  624. >You looked upwards, at its owner.
  625. >In all of her glory, Nightmare Moon was standing beside you, in her physical form.
  626. >Looking at you with a peaceful expression.
  627. >With a shaking hand you caressed her soft feathers.
  628. >She smiled for a second, but after that she took a serious expression on her muzzle.
  629. >"Enough of this foolishness Anonymous, go to Scootaloo and take her someplace safe!"
  630. >Easy for her to say that, there was no better place, than where she already was.
  631. >Regardless, on all fours you started to 'walk' in Scoots direction.
  632. >Nightmare speared just one quick glance at Luna, who was still lying on the floor, with her gaze on the onyx alicorn.
  633. >Princess of the night eyes were wide like bicycle wheels, pupils like pinpricks.
  634. >The pile of stones explode in a green energy, covering everyone in dust.
  635. >"YOU WILL SUFFER FOR WHAT YOU DID!"
  636. >Chrysalis was pissed beyond reason.
  637. >She gave Nightmare an evil glare.
  638. >"WHO THE BUCK ARE YOU?!"
  639. >Nightmare smiled viciously, showing her sharp fangs.
  640. >"I am queen Nightmare Moon and I am your greatest NIGHTMARE!"
  641. >Not waiting for Chrysalis reaction, she teleported beside her and tackled her with her armored chest like a baws!
  642. >Still in motion she bit her neck and flew in the air with her.
  643. >In a blink of an eye they were outside the palace, fighting over the most destroyed part of the capitol.
  644. >You could see the fight clearly, because your 'combat mode' senses were still active.
  645. >Nightmare left a small portion of her magic to slowly regenerate your beaten body.
  646. >Chrysalis punched her hard in the snout, with one of her front hooves.
  647. >Nighty let her go and gave her the taste of her own armored hoof.
  648. >With a loud smack, changeling queen was sent bleeding on the ground.
  649. >Before she hit it, Nightmare shoot a laser like beam from her horn in her direction.
  650. >When it connected with her opponent, the city trembled for a moment from a massive explosion, which occurred.
  651. >As the dust and smoke disappeared, there were no traces after Chrysalis.
  652. >Suddenly she teleported behind Nightmare and shoot her own version of that spell at point blank range.
  653. >Dark alicorn connected hard with the ground beneath.
  654. >She was quickly back on her legs though.
  655. >Both of them, one in the air, one one the ground started throwing various destructive spells at one another.
  656. >There were explosions and dark smoke everywhere around them.
  657. >During their fight you managed to get near Luna, who was lying beside princess Celestia now.
  658. >It was inevitable, as she was also near Scootaloo, which you had in your arms now.
  659. >Princess of the night was looking at you with an angry stare.
  660. >"HOW DARE YOU HIDE THAT ABOMINATION FROM ME, YOU DAMNED HUMAN!"
  661. >She turned her head to look at Celestia.
  662. >"YOU'RE ODDLY QUIET, DID YOU KNEW ABOUT THIS?!"
  663. >Still very weak Celestia managed to whisper something.
  664. >"L..Lulu... please... listen..."
  665. >You had enough of that.
  666. "No your highness, let me handle this."
  667. >You looked at Luna with your version of an evil glare.
  668. "Listen here, I will tell you everything you want to know and everything you don't want to know about Nightmare, if we live through this shit! Right now though, she is struggling there to save us, in an unfair battle. For me, for Scoots, even for you, she is bleeding with her power and her true blood there. So, it would be nice if you SHUT THE FUCK UP AND START TO PRAY FOR HER TO WIN THIS, OR WE'LL BE ALL DEAD!"
  669. >Luna reddened on her face, but looking at the titanic fight outside, didn't have said anything.
  670. >You managed to stand, with still sleeping Scoots in your arms and observed the uneven fight.
  671. >They were fighting in the air again.
  672. >Exchanging blows with lightning speed.
  673. >Suddenly Chrysalis moved away and shoot a powerful fireball at Nightmare.
  674. >Onyx alicorn mare managed to doge it, but the look on Chrysalis 'face' was not the one of disappointment.
  675. >Looking at the probable place, where the fireball would land, you quickly learned why was that.
  676. >In the ruins of a typical Canterlot cafeteria, where it was moving towards, there was a frightened, little colt hiding under the one of destroyed tables.
  677. >If, that fireball land there, he will be gone with the rest of that shop!
  678. >Nightmare saw it too.
  679. >She teleported, disappearing into the thin air.
  680. >The spell finally had hit the ground, embracing everything around it in magic, deadly flames.
  681. >The smoke was quickly dispersed from within.
  682. >In the center of the blast stood an armored, onyx alicorn mare.
  683. >Between her front hooves, clutching one of them, stood that little colt.
  684. >There was visible magic barrier around them, its source being Nightmare's glowing horn.
  685. >Chrysalis was just waiting for this.
  686. >She started an endless barrage with similar spells on their position.
  687. >It was clear she felt that when Nightmare was using her magic, she was getting weaker.
  688. >She didn't attacked that little colt, out of pure malice.
  689. >She did it to find out, if Nightmare fall for that kind of a trap.
  690. >After all, she was looking like one of the pony princesses.
  691. >Nightmare's legs started to shake, you saw she was getting weaker every passing second.
  692. >She clenched her teeth and her horn start to glow even brighter.
  693. >Two huge pieces of the battered ground disconnected from it.
  694. >One of them took the role of a shield, before the two ponies.
  695. >The second one morphed into something looking like a crude dragon made from stones and dirt.
  696. >It flew with incredible speed at Chrysalis and grabbed her in its talons.
  697. >Nightmare used that distraction to teleport that little colt somewhere safe.
  698. >The 'earth dragon' collapsed with its angry cargo before her a second after that.
  699. >Chrysalis in her crazed state, bit and hold Nightmare's neck like a rabid dog!
  700. >Fresh, red blood flew through onyx skin on the burned ground beneath.
  701. >You saw Nighty was unmoved by this, because she was looking at you and Scoots.
  702. >Her gaze was really enigmatic at first, but then before she closed her eyes, you saw traces of sadness there.
  703. >After she opened them, there was nothing elese in them, than a cold determination.
  704. >She shouted something to Chrysalis.
  705. >Through your still miraculously working mind connection, you heard what she said to her.
  706. >~"YOU CALL IT A BITE?!"~
  707. >After that, she yanked her neck hard, from her teeth grip.
  708. >By doing that, she left a piece of her own flesh in the bug pony maw.
  709. >Now her neck was almost all painted red from the blood coming out of her new wound.
  710. >Nightmare was unimpressed by this.
  711. >It was surprising, because her regeneration power stopped working some time ago!
  712. >Chrysalis looked a little confused with her behavior, spitting with dark alicorn blood on the ground.
  713. >That look of surprise quickly turned into a yell of pain, when Nightmare pierced her chest with her long onyx horn.
  714. >You knew it was a bold move, but an ineffective one.
  715. >Changeling queen regeneration power was fine and Nightmare missed her heart, doing only temporarily damage, even if she pierced her through and through.
  716. >There was only one problem, Nightmare didn't want to took away her horn!
  717. >Instead she started to push at her, with all of her might.
  718. >Still yelling Chrysalis showered her bowed head with a barrage of heavy punches.
  719. >Nightmare clenched her teeth and flew, with her on her horn, up in the air.
  720. >Quickly she started to gain altitude.
  721. >Her body started to shine with jade like crackling energy.
  722. >The higher she was, with still wriggling Chrysalis on her horn, the more energy was surfacing on her body, from within.
  723. >Her helmet and whole muzzle was badly damaged from changeling's queen blows.
  724. >Chrysalis stopped yelling with pain and started to shout at her.
  725. >"This is madness, what are you trying to achieve! You're going to die! Who the buck are you, you're crazy!"
  726. >What was she talking about?!
  727. >What was her plan?!
  728. >Nightmare was still collecting power.
  729. >Confused, you felt it was her life power, the only power she never should be using, unless...
  730. >~"I'M NOT CRAZY! I HAD TOLD YOU, I AM YOUR GREATEST NIGHTMARE!"~
  731. >The both of them were very high now, you could hear Nightmare only because of your special mind connection.
  732. >She was shining like a beautiful star, from all that power she gathered.
  733. >....
  734. >The time had stopped.
  735. >....
  736. >You were looking at the two pony like figures high in the sky.
  737. >Nightmare wings was stretched to their full span.
  738. >She looked so regal and powerful.
  739. >....
  740. >You closed your eyes.
  741. >....
  742. >You heard something at the back of your mind.
  743. >~"Anonymous... please, remember me."~
  744. >....
  745. >You slowly opened your eyes.
  746. >Suddenly, a loud skull splitting bang pierced the air!
  747. >Your eyes were flooded with a hot white light, which covered everything around!
  748. >Squinting them you looked at the place where Nightmare and Chrysalis were before.
  749. >There was an enormous, supernova like explosion blooming out there!
  750. >Its shockwave just reached the city!
  751. >Almost every window that wasn't broken, shattered from its intensity.
  752. >Some of the highest palace towers that was left intact, crumbled under the power of the blast.
  753. >It was clear, that if the epicenter of that explosion, was a little closer to the ground, there would be nothing and no one standing right now.
  754. >The detonation was so strong, that it disturbed the natural order of weather over the capitol.
  755. >There was an enormous black cloud forming over the city, from which a heavy rain started to pour on the ground below.
  756. >On the touch, rainwater felt cold and oily, like... tears.
  757. >Or maybe that was the actual tears from your eyes.
  758. >Still holding Scootaloo, you were crying silently... like a real man.
  759. >Nightmare, your Nightmare Moon just gave her life to protect you and her daughter.
  760. >You didn't felt her anymore in your mind, or anywhere for that matter.
  761. >The hollow feeling inside of you were now stronger than ever before.
  762. >You dropped on your knees and hid your face in Scoots soft coat.
  763. >Now you could cry as hard as you want.
  764. >
  765. >You are Luna, Princess of the Night, Regent of the Moon, Ruler of the Dreamscape!
  766. >You are bucking disturbed right now!
  767. >Those are the mildest words, in which you are able to determine your current state.
  768. >You're in it because of what you just saw and lived through.
  769. >Even in your wildest fantasies you wouldn't imagine that someday you, your sister and all of Equestria, would be saved by Nightmare Moon!
  770. >To this very moment that name only meant pain and destruction for you.
  771. >She was nothing more than your greatest failure, one of the architects of your thousand years long banishment!
  772. >Whenever somepony would even mention her in some lecture, book or theater performance, you were closing your eyes.
  773. >You were doing that to maintain a peaceful expression, but inside you were always fighting with your memories.
  774. >Her name was a reminder of how weak, desperate and short sighted you were.
  775. >With your silent permission, she turned you into a monster, which was referring to herself with her own name!
  776. >In your eyes she was an evil being that only lived for vengeance.
  777. >After all, elements of harmony proved that by cleansing you from her presence and they only work on really evil beings right?!
  778. >WRONG!
  779. >That word is almost visualising itself in front of you right now.
  780. >Nightmare Moon, THE Nightmare Moon, just sacrificed herself to save everypony's lifes and you had a front seat to watch that!
  781. >If anypony, even your own sister, would told you about it, you wouldn't believe it and think this is some kind of a very grim joke.
  782. >At the moment though, you are watching a dark storm cloud over the Canterlot.
  783. >It was an anomaly, which formed itself right after the massive explosion, which ended the lives of Nightmare Moon and queen Chrysalis she was fighting.
  784. >The rain that fell from it on the streets and ponies below, was putting out most of the flames caused by their duel and the griffon invasion.
  785. >You sighed heavily.
  786. >If not for her 'intervention', there would be a lot of blood runing with rainwater on the streets now.
  787. >You knew what were you talking about, you saw that kind of pictures long ago in the past long forgotten.
  788. >The fact it was now a very peaceful land and times, would do nothing to prevent that.
  789. >The war has its own 'set of rules' and she ended it before it could ever start.
  790. >Furthermore, having griffon king and their main army general in your grasp, you and your sister have a realy nice advantage in the peace talks, which would surley come.
  791. >Griffons were known of their pride and loyalty to the ones they chosen to lead them.
  792. >Sooner or later peace treaty would be signed by your terms.
  793. >Right now though, you didn't thought about any of those terms, because of what you saw in that dark cloud.
  794. >There were some jade like magic discharges inside of it.
  795. >There wasn't any pattern to their manifestation or any real danger to the ponies below because of their existence.
  796. >Also, their power and appearance were decreasing rapidly.
  797. >The cloud will soon vanish and you knew what that meant.
  798. >Watching that phenomenon, you were after a little quick and a little angry conversation with your still weakened sister.
  799. >Telling you that Nightmare had a real loving heart, her family and how she regarded them and what your sister saw in her during their duel in the Everfree forest, she gave you a lot to thought about.
  800. >It appeared that she found her rightful place in this world and sacrificed everything she had to protect it.
  801. >At the end of your whispered talk Celestia also saw that fading jade like magic manifestation in the cloud and she knew what it meant as well.
  802. >Ending your talk she said that the decision belongs to you, that she thinks she is your responsibility to deal with as you see fit and you will have to live with whatever you decide.
  803. >Saying that last part she was looking at that Anonymous guy.
  804. >He was still on his knees, holding his sleeping daughter, his flat muzzle hidden in her coat.
  805. >You didn't see that, but you were sure he was in great pain, the kind of which any magic could heal.
  806. >He was probably crying after Nightmare Moon.
  807. >That was unreal, there really was a being that cried after her and as soon as the filly wakes up, there will be another one!
  808. >After that, Celestia used all of the little power, which managed to return to her in such a short time and canceled Chrysalis magic damping spell.
  809. >You had closed your eyes.
  810. >Being trapped with Nightmare on the moon for so long, you thought once, that she could change if somepony would be willing to put enough effort and blood into it.
  811. >Unfortunately, being miserable and broken, you didn't do anything in that direction.
  812. >You even stopped responding to her rarely spoken words to you.
  813. >You clenched your teeth and open your eyes.
  814. >You need to get your act together and do what your heart really tells you!
  815. >For what she's done and what she has become, she deserves a chance at life!
  816. >And by the moon, you'll see to that personally.
  817. >You walk up to those two.
  818. >The little filly was just waking up.
  819. >After the initial shock of finding herself in a destroyed and strange place, she showered Anonymous with questions.
  820. >Where she was, what was going on and most dangerous one, why was he in such a state and why was he crying.
  821. >He quickly pulled himself together and started answering her.
  822. >"I-I'll tell you everything later, but right now, y-you must know one thing. I'm in such a state because I found myself in a fierce fight a-and your m-mom..."
  823. >You interrupted him as quickly as yo could.
  824. "YOUR MOM... will be here soon."
  825. >Anon bitten his tongue.
  826. >The both of them looked at you, little filly surprised by your presence the most.
  827. >"P-princess Luna w-why are you here and why are you so... so battered and all?!"
  828. >Your healing magic was already working on you, but keeping in mind what you were about to do, you used the most basic spell possible.
  829. >You will need almost all of your power for what you were planning.
  830. "Firstly, I'm here because I live here, did you forget about your class trip to Canterlot? Secondly, I was in the same fight as your dad, hence my current state."
  831. >When she had heard the last part, she dangerously squinted her eyes at you.
  832. "O-Of course this time I fought alongside him, not aginst him."
  833. >Did... did that little fill was about to attack her princess verbally for standing against her father?
  834. >Great, Nightmare already had some impact on her, or maybe she was always a feisty one?
  835. "You must leave your father's hooves for a while, I need his help in something."
  836. >Reluctantly, she jumped on the damaged floor.
  837. >Anonymous was looking at you with a questioning gaze.
  838. >"What have you just said about Nightmare being here soon?"
  839. >You didn't have time to stand there and explain.
  840. >Before he could stand up, you catched him in your magic aura.
  841. >"Hey!"
  842. >You looked at him seriously.
  843. "We must hurry, I will tell you, what you must know on the way!"
  844. >You unfurled your wings and fly up the air with him in tow.
  845. >
  846. >You're Anonymous and you're scared for your dear life!
  847. >Using her magic, Luna was carrying you along her in a mad flight to the heart of the storm above.
  848. >She was handling you like some rag doll.
  849. >You were soaked to the skin by the rain.
  850. >There were flashes of lightning everywhere around you.
  851. >Also being so high, you had difficulties in catching your breath, the air here having less oxygen to breathe with.
  852. >Yeah, this just wasn't your idea for mourning conditions.
  853. >Being close to your destination, you decided it was a good time to ask some questions.
  854. >You must had to yell, to outshout the storm.
  855. "Alright, tell me , why are we here?!"
  856. >She looked at you like if you just asked her why you can't sing happy songs and tap dance on somebody's funeral.
  857. >Fucking great comparison by the way, so in place here!
  858. >Probably your brain was just set on thinking 'grave' thoughts just now.
  859. >After all this cloud was Nightmare's grave.
  860. >"We are here to save Nightmare Moon, what else could we be here for?!"
  861. >All of your WUT?!
  862. >If this was some kind of a sick joke, nobody was laughing!
  863. "How!? Maybe you didn't saw that, but let me tell you, she used all of her life sustaining magic and exploded!"
  864. >Luna was not impressed with your attitude.
  865. >"Yes I know that! She didn't used only her like you call it 'life sustaining' magic, it wouldn't be enough for a detonation of that magnitude!"
  866. >She looked at the cloud above you.
  867. >"To managed that, she used her very essence of life, her fabric of existance, hence those magic discharges in the color of her most powerfull magic, inside of this storm!"
  868. >You looked upwards, beyond the first layer of dark clouds.
  869. >After that you saw one, barely visible, magic lightning in the jade like color.
  870. >"I can feel you had some of her magic left inside of you, this and the power of your mind will be useful in guiding the magic you just saw, into reshaping her and bringing her to life once more!"
  871. >The magic part you understood, but why was your mind needed?
  872. "My mind erm.. power?!"
  873. >She nodded her head.
  874. >"Yes, maybe 'her imprint inside of it' would be a better term to use here! I know how she 'works'! Being fused with her for so long, your mind 'knows' about every detail of her current form!"
  875. >Without that 'fused' part, that would be an excellent description of a deviant and a stalker in one.
  876. >Hey, nobody ever told you were normal!
  877. >Luna was getting anxious.
  878. >"Time is of the essence here Anonymous, her magic is getting weaker every second we talk!"
  879. >You raised your hands in a stopping motion.
  880. "Okay, just one more question... why?! Why do you want to do that for her?! I just hope this is not 'I want to punish her personally' reason!"
  881. >Her eyes widened when she heard that.
  882. >"H-Have I ever gave you that kind of impression about me?! I think not! Nightmare Moon proved she deserves that chance, a-also technicaly speaking she is... my sister of some sort!"
  883. >Yep, and technically speaking you're her mother of some sort, because you created her.
  884. >Now that's some fuken dysfunctional family there!
  885. >You smiled.
  886. "That was the answer I was expecting! Tell me what to do!"
  887. >She pointed at the dark mass above you.
  888. >"Raise one of your front hooves in the direction of that storm! At the same time try to imagine all of her magic flowing to it and that you're about to grab her hoof, that will start the whole process!"
  889. >She flied closer to you and touched you with her horn.
  890. >"Don't worry, I will help you as much as I can! Bear in mind that this will be a very taxing process for your body! If you want for this to succeed, try to be conscious as long as you can!"
  891. >Looking at the heart of the storm, you gulped.
  892. >Grow a pair fucker!
  893. >You heard from Twilight once, that she and her friends turn into some crazy wasp like creatures called beezies for some time.
  894. >If the magic of this land made that kind of a thing possible, this should be a piece of a cake for you, right?
  895. >Alright let's do this!
  896. >You raised one of your hands and pointed with your fingers at the dark cloud.
  897. >Suddenly you felt Luna packing as much of her magic into you as she could.
  898. >You felt the strain on your body already!
  899. >Regardless, you closed your eyes and started to imagine you hold in your hand that glorious onyx hoof, which belonged to Nightmare.
  900. >You didn't saw that, but at first nothing happened.
  901. >Luna had doubled her efforts.
  902. >She started to breathe heavily, enough for you to hear it.
  903. >That wasn't a walk in the park for her either.
  904. >You felt something crawling beneath your skin.
  905. >Your hand felt warm, almost too warm, like if you had put it into the boiling water.
  906. >The mass of dark clouds started to swirl.
  907. >Slowly at first, but gaining speed very quickly.
  908. >The roar that accompanied it was almost earsplitting!
  909. >The giant storm was shrinking visibly, the center of it being your outstretched hand.
  910. >Fuck your hand hurt you!
  911. >You felt like if your own life energy was being sucked out of your body!
  912. >The world started to spin before your eyes and your vision got blurry.
  913. >Luna yelled at you through her clenched teeth.
  914. >"Don't you dare to lose your consciousness! You need to try harder!"
  915. >Easy for her to say, you felt like you were fucking dying!
  916. >The dark mass of magic and all was swirling like crazy before your eyes.
  917. >It was forming itself into some big ball of 'angry', crackling dark and jade energy.
  918. >You stopped to feel your body and didn't know which way was up and which down.
  919. >It was so close, why this was happening to you?!
  920. >Before your eyes you saw memories of you and Nightmare together.
  921. >Your meeting, your little fights, your bigger fights, your... first innocent kiss.
  922. >You clenched your teeth and gave the magic inside of you one final push.
  923. >You would be damned if you didn't gave all you've got and some more to save her!
  924. >Your world exploded in a hot white light!
  925. >You heard Luna yelling in pain and surprise at the same time.
  926. >Then you felt she was no longer holding you in her magic aura.
  927. >Instead you felt you were falling, gaining speed real quick.
  928. >Well, you were to weak and lifeless to even scream in horror.
  929. >With your blurry sight you saw Luna was chasing after you.
  930. >Her wings were closed, her muzzle outstreched to fight the air resistance around her.
  931. >She was doing all she could to catch you.
  932. >You smiled weakly.
  933. >At least Scoots will have one parent alive.
  934. >Suddenly some big, dark form flew near Luna.
  935. >It was so quick, it almost shoot her out of the sky!
  936. >Your body decided to switch off.
  937. >The last thing you felt was that you landed on something warm and soft.
  938. >Then you stopped feeling anything at all.
  939. >...
  940. >........
  941. "Ugh..."
  942. >There was something on your chest.
  943. >You had some problems with breathing.
  944. >Holy shit, did you actually hit the ground and your ribs and lungs were crushed?!
  945. >Did your fucking body decided to wake you up just before your death?!
  946. >Easy there sherlock, maybe open your eyes first and then start to lose your shit?
  947. >Slowly you did just that.
  948. >You were lying in some hospital bed... again.
  949. >You saw a pair of big, purple eyes looking at you from very close.
  950. >"Hey dad, welcome back!"
  951. >Yeah, it was Scootaloo, who was now crushing your neck in a strong bear hug.
  952. >She had an easy access to it, because she was lying on your chest.
  953. >You pat her on the back.
  954. "Thanks Scoots, but can you please stop disrupting my blood circulation?"
  955. >She let you go and looked at you with an innocent smile on her snout.
  956. >"Ups, sorry dad!"
  957. >Before you could say something, someone else responded to that.
  958. >"He lived through much worse treatment than this, you don't need to be sorry."
  959. >...
  960. >You... you knew that voice!
  961. >Turning your head you saw there was a glorious, onyx alicorn mare standing beside your bed.
  962. >It was Nightmare Moon!
  963. >She was alive!
  964. >If you hadn't have Scoots on your chest there, you could have been jumping from joy at that moment.
  965. >Instead you choose a calmer approach.
  966. "Hey there beautiful, nice to see you to."
  967. >A subtle rosy blush bloomed on her muzzle.
  968. >Fucking score!
  969. >~"L-likewise Anonymous."~
  970. >Huh?!
  971. >You still have some mind connection?
  972. >Oh well, guess Scoots would have it pretty tough, having parents like that.
  973. >However, why didn't she respond to you normally?
  974. >You looked around your room and almost instantly found the reason.
  975. >On the opposite side of the bed stood 'nopony' else than princess Luna.
  976. >She was trying to borrow a hole in Nightmare's head with her gaze.
  977. >Eh...what was her problem this time?
  978. >Moonie quickly got her act together and responded with a glare of her own.
  979. >~If she won't stop that, I'm going to break her legs. Prepare yourself to grab Scootaloo and roll out of bed to protect her."~
  980. >Well, if you ever doubted this could be 'somepony' else than her, she just gave you undeniable proof.
  981. >Oh, and what a beautiful display of a sisterly love and care!
  982. >Probably in her eyes you're the only one who made her return to life possible.
  983. >In her opinion Luna wasn't even your 'sidekick', but just a 'chauffeur'.
  984. >You'll have to talk to her about this someday, but right now you need to relieve the tension before shit got real.
  985. >You looked at Luna and smiled weakly.
  986. "So, princess I see we made it and nopony was even badly hurt. I call something like that a complete success."
  987. >Nice statement for a guy lying in a hospital bed.
  988. >She didn't even looked at you and just squinted her eyes.
  989. >"If not for my flying skills, there would be one less pony in here right now and that would be ME."
  990. >She pointed with one of her front hooves at Nightmare.
  991. >"You almost made me crush on the ground with that wild maneuver you did to get to him first!"
  992. >Nighty just smiled meanly.
  993. >"You were in my way. From what I saw, with your speed you couldn't even catch a snail, if any decided to run from you."
  994. >Luna's pupils turned to pinpricks.
  995. >"What... did... you just sa..."
  996. >Suddenly a little orange hoof was directed at her!
  997. >"Hey princess, lay off my mom! She was just trying to save dad! Nopony should hold it against her!"
  998. >H-Has Scoots always been a filly?
  999. >Because you saw some big, hairy balls in what she just done!
1000. >Princess of the night was looking at Scootaloo dumbfounded.
1001. >Before she could say anything, Nightmare warned her with a very serious voice.
1002. >"Chose the words you wish to direct at my daughter carefully, very carefully."
1003. >There was a real threat in her tone.
1004. >If Luna decide to be, you know, herself, Moonie will wreck her shit and half of Canterlot with it!
  1005. >You gulped loudly.
1006. >You need someone, anyone to defuse this situation.
1007. >Fucking Celestia out of nowhere!
1008. >She walked inside your room like she owned the place.
1009. >Well, technically that was true.
1010. >Some time ago you assumed you were in Canterlot general hospital, which survived the siege.
1011. >There was so much royalty beside your bed right now, that you could declare this room an independent country.
1012. >You hoped that Twilight was busy somewhere else.
1013. >If she would walk through that door there, this would be a truly wet dream of any assassin come true.
1014. >Nightmare spotted Celestia almost immediately.
  1015. >"Celestia."
1016. >There was a lot of venom in this one.
  1017. >"Nightmare."
1018. >There was a lot of authority in this one.
1019. >White alicorn mare looked at you with her kind eyes.
  1020. >"I see you're feeling well Anonymous."
  1021. >Fuken saved!
1022. >The both of them won't dare to fight in the presence of the main ruler of this land.
  1023. >At least you hoped Luna wouldn't.
1024. "Yeah, but I must say, my left shoulder is killing me."
1025. >That was true, it really hurt.
1026. >Nightmare was suspiciously smug about it.
1027. >"You should take a look at it."
  1028. >This was not a suggestion.
1029. >It was more of an order if you ever heard one.
1030. >You roll up your sleeve.
1031. >Your left sholder was adorned with her cutie mark.
  1032. >What the fuck?!
1033. "Okay, I'll do it quickly: what, why, when?!"
1034. >She was more than happy to answer.
1035. >"After I catched you, you already have it. You really went overboard there and gave me some of your precious life energy. It seems that in exchange you got some of mine."
1036. >You were not really surprised by that.
1037. >You wanted to save her so bad.
1038. >Funny how your supposed menace, became your little obsession.
1039. "So, about that exchange, what's in it for me and for you? Am I going to live as log as one of you alicorns?"
  1040. >She smiled.
1041. >"You already know about some of the benefits of my mark upon your flesh. Answering your question I'm just going to say that what is a queen without her king?"
  1042. >Hm, a mysterious answer.
1043. >For now you will have to take your supposed 'immortality' with a pinch of salt.
1044. >"As for me, haven't you notice something unusual about me?"
1045. >You just noticed she was without her armour, she didn't even had her signature helmet!
1046. >Holy shit, this whole resurrection circus made you blind, or stupid!
  1047. >Or, both.
1048. "Yeah, you're without that whole junk, you're usually wearing."
1049. >Hugh Hefner got nothing on your smooth lines!
  1050. >Asshole!
1051. >She just squinted her eyes on your impertinence.
1052. >"When I was myself again, I was without my glorious armor and without one more thing."
  1053. >She actually smiled there.
1054. >"Because of your life energy influence I don't need to rely on a host anymore. My armour was a symbol of my fight for survival and now I'm an individual being, just
1055. like you. The universal rules of magic, which binds me now, are the same for every other alicorn out there."
1056. >As long as she won't try to conquest Equestria, it was great news!
1057. "W-Well congratulations! W-What would you do with that new found freedom and all?!"
1058. >She bowed her head to your level.
1059. >Her predatory eyes looked deeply into yours.
1060. >"Don't you dare to think you get rid of me so easily. That mark on your shoulder means you belong to me. Any other mare is not worthy to touch you with her hoof or anything else, unless she doesn't want it to be an integral part of her body anymore."
1061. >Did Nightmare just said in her own way tha she loves you and is going to stay with you?
1062. >You quickly look for some support in Scoots.
1063. >Your orange daughter was just smiling silly, probably not understanding half of what was just said.
1064. >Before you could answer to that weird love confession, Celestia did that for you.
1065. >"R-Right. So, Anonymous, Nightmare. When do you think my subjects should learn about the heroes, which saved them from the griffon invasion and one of them earned her place among them more than enough?"
1066. >You just smiled at that.
1067. "Well, your highness, whenever you're ready."
  1068. >...
1069. >A whole month has passed since that.
  1070. >Canterlot was rebuilded.
1071. >Amazing how much you could get done with enough magic and special talents to chose from in such a short time.
  1072. >Celestia's words became truth.
1073. >Pony society was ready for another resocialized villain among their numbers.
1074. >Well, lets just say they tolerated her, but from a safe distance.
1075. >Most of them had been told from the early childhood, that she will eat them if she had a chance, so you could live with that kind of behavior until they get use to her more.
1076. >You had also your own 'transitions' with your friends.
1077. >You heard words like liar, dick and 'you're fired' a few times, but at the end, you managed to keep your friends and your job as they always were.
1078. >Twilight even insisted to study Nightmare's dark magic for the sole purpose of expanding the common knowledge about powers of all kinds.
1079. >She was literally thrown out the window.
  1080. >That didn't stopped her though.
1081. >With a slogan that true knowledge was gained in true hardships she was a common guest in your house.
1082. >She was a real masochist that one, because the only knowledge she gained till now was how quick Nightmare could grab her in her magic and how far she could throw her.
1083. >As for your onyx alicorn mare, she got a proposition to act as the princess of defence or some shit.
1084. >It turned out that the captain of the guards had submitted a detailed report on how she/you handled the royal guard in its greatest need.
1085. >It was just a matter of time when a fifth from the existing alicorns would get her position of power in Equestria and that one was just made for her.
1086. >To everyone's surprise she responded she had to think about it and didn't say more, so right now you three were still living in Ponyville, instead of Canterlot.
  1087. >That's right, you three.
1088. >Buying this pegasi house and her candidates for parents being a national heroes quickly made Scootaloo your legal daughter.
1089. >In your opinion it has an beneficial impact on Nightmares reputation.
1090. >Whenever Scoots was around her, everypony was less scared of her.
1091. >Also, everybody generally known that she was more calm in her presence, unless you somehow threatened or offended her daughter in her presence.
1092. >All of Ponyville known the example she made of Filthy Rich, when he came to demand apology for what Scoots and her friends supposedly had did to his daughter.
1093. >You won't get into details here, but let's just say, that without Twilight intervention his head would never exchanged places with his ass again.
1094. >As of right now you were sitting in the stands, which were rised for Wonderbolds Derby that visited Ponyville.
1095. >Before you get here you got a memorable picture done for you, Nightmare and Scootaloo by the one of photographers, which were always chasing after this legendary pegasi team.
1096. >When he saw Nightmare, he almost shit bricks and didn't even charged you at all.
1097. >You will keep that pic to your very grave.
1098. >At the moment you were sitting with Scoots alone.
1099. >Nightmare was away trying some of the local hay dogs and shit.
1100. >Since she could really taste and benefit from the real food, she wanted to taste as many pony cousin as she could.
1101. >After all, the royal tongue have to learn what it really wanted.
1102. >One mare ruined your conversation with your daughter.
1103. >It was Spitfire, who else!
1104. >"Well hello there 'tough guy' and his daughter!"
1105. >She was smiling like some kind of a smart ass.
  1106. "Hey there."
1107. >Saying that you showed her your middle finger.
1108. >You knew she won't get the message, but i was no less satisfying because of that.
1109. >"So, had you changed your mind about our little race?"
  1110. >What?
1111. >She still want to race with you?
1112. >Scootaloo answered her before you.
1113. >"You could alway race my mom, she is even better that my dad! She give me lessons in flying!"
  1114. >Spitcunt laughed at that.
1115. >"Who could she be? If she isn't some former Wonderbolt, then I'm not interested."
  1116. >Scootaloo wasn't laughing.
1117. >"She is not a former Wonderbolt, but she is big, strong and even faster than princess Luna herself!"
1118. >Fiery maned mare raised her brow.
1119. >"Let me tell you, little one, that you must keep a more straight muzzle when you lie. That way somepony will believe you."
1120. >A big shadow fell on Spitfire after she said that.
1121. >You just smiled and pointed with your finger behind her.
1122. "If you want, you can check if she told the truth for yourself. Her mother is behind you."
1123. >Sensing something ominous she turned around.
1124. >Nightmare muzzle was dangerously close to her own.
1125. >"So you're accusing my daughter of lying?"
1126. >She just gulped loudly in response.
1127. >Nightmare bared her sharp teeth at her.
1128. >"Run, as fast as you can."
1129. >She didn't have to tall her twice.
1130. >Spitfire flew through the stands like if she was on fire.
1131. >Nightmare was close behind her.
1132. >You grabbed pretty amused Scootaloo and placed her on your shoulders.
1133. "Alright Scoots, let us stop your mom, before we find her playing a game of 'stop hitting yourself' with Spitfire as the victim."
1134. >With a laughing little filly on your shoulders you started to run like you meant to.
