  1.
  2. >"Bill go right! Jim, check the marshes! Joe take the mutts, see if they can find their scent!"
  3. >The men do as they're told as they split up going off in different directions
  4. >The flame of a small lighter could be seen out of the darkness of the night as the man commanding the group lights a cigar
  5. >"Out of the entire week, it had to be a Sunday."
  6. >Groaning he pulls on his beard wondering his next set of actions
  7. >If what they told him was true, then this wouldn't be the usual cat and mouse game most slaves put up
  8. >Unslinging his rifle, he loads another dart and cocks it
  9. >Soon all the hunters were marching into the endless wilderness
  10. >It was a particularly cold night
  11. >Fall was coming to an end as Jack Frost was beginning to make his presence known
  12. >Quivering rays of light pierce the never ending darkness
  13. >Looking high and low for any signs of their target
  14. >Soon the sounds of barking dogs fill the air as they chase an unseen creature
  15. >Hearing their discovery the rest of the men rush towards them
  16. >"Come on! Find dem bitches! Find dem!"
  17. >Without hesitation the dogs pounce, a shriek is heard as they begin to sink their teeth within the creature
  18. >"Joe get out of the way!"
  19. >Spitting out the cigar butt, the leader of the three pushes in front of them to see the catch
  20. >He whistles, causing the dogs to trot gleefully towards him
  21. >Sitting up straight, one of them opens their mouth
  22. >A heavily mangled squirrel falls out
  23. >No one says anything as the leader picks up the creature
  24. >Examining it, he grabs a violet cream bowtie wrapped around its neck
  25. >Bringing it to his nose, he takes a quick whiff
  26. >"Chocolate........"
  27. >"Ah sir?"
  28. >He taps his boss on the shoulder
  29. >"Bill, we're going back to Smith's."
  30. >He turns to face Bill
  31. >"That girl just played us for fools!"
  32. >After some more arguing the men scramble back
  33. >Unbeknownst their bickering retreat, a pair of sky blue eyes stares at them from a far
  34. >"Are they gone yet? I-is it safe?"
  35. >An orange filly with a purple mane asks, nudging the cream color pony in front of her for a response
  36. "Not yet Scootaloo, go back to the others."
  37. >She nudges the filly away
  38. >Scootaloo sighs disappointed
  39. >Sliding back down into the muddy ditch
  40. >She enters a hallowed out tree where the others have taken refuge
  41. >Looking back, the cream pony takes another gander of the area around her
  42. >Nothing but the ambient light of Luna's midnight sun
  43. >Satisfied with the result she returns to the others
  44. "Is everyone alright?"
  45. >The four of them look at one another
  46. >"Coco's a bit bruised, Scootaloo seems fine and I don't think Fluttershy can carry that belly of hers any longer-"
  47. >A mint pony says pointing behind her
  48. >Scootaloo and Coco both try to comfort a visibly distressed Fluttershy as she rubs her heavily pregnant belly
  49. >"-but besides the mud and coldness, I think everyone's here!"
  50. >"Not everyone...."
  51. >Coco speaks up
  52. >Getting up, she slowly limps towards the other two
  53. >”Coco, don’t-”
  54. >Fluttershy begs
  55. >"YOU LEFT THEM!"
  56. >"Coco, pipe down!"
  57. >The mint pony tries to calm her
  58. >"No Lyra! She used her as bait!"
  59. >The cream pony says nothing
  60. >Lyra backs off giving her some space
  61. >"How could you Bonbon, you promised all of us you'll get us out, not just Lyra and Fluttershy!"
  62. >Coco begins to tear up
  63. >"If not for Octavia, were you going to lie to me and use me as bait!"
  64. >.....................
  65. >"Huh! What about the others! What lies did you tell them to execute your master plan?"
  66. >.....................
  67. >"Huh!"
  68. >No one said a word
  69. "Its Sweetie-my name is… Sweetie Drops......."
  70. >"What?”
  71. >Coco cocks her head confused
  72. "No more lies."
  73. >Bon-Bon takes in a deep breath
  74. "It was mission priority to free the element of Harmony at all cost, I-I..."
  75. >Coco takes a step back
  76. >"You're not making any sense."
  77. >Bonbon looks down
  78. "-I wanted to, I-I really did but with Fluttershy's current condition I had to make... some tactical-sacrifices....."
  79. >Coco just stares at her as do Fluttershy and Scootaloo
  80. >"She's a secret agent."
  81. >Lyra says blatantly
  82. "Oh for Celestia's sake Lyra, subtlety much?"
  83. >Bon-Bon cries out
  84. >"I couldn't help it, the tension was killing me."
  85. >She says shrugging
  86. >Rolling her eyes Bon-Bon turns back to Coco
  87. >”Wh-wha……”
  88. >Before Bonbon could respond Lyra interrupts her again
  89. >"And Im a secret agent too-
  90. "Lyra, you are not-"
  91. >"Shhhhhhhhh!"
  92. >"Just go with it....."
  93. >She whispers to Bonbon, giving her a playful wink
  94. >”You two are secret Agents?”
  95. >Scootaloo says approaching the girls
  96. >"Yeah! How do you think we managed to escape that testing facility? We had double spy power! Just ask Fluttershy herself!"
  97. >The attention diverts back to the pregnant mare.
  98. >"Um.....I don't think I have any say in this matter."
  99. >She begins to blush in embarrassment, trying to cover up her belly
  100. >Bon-Bon sighs
  101. >Grabbing Coco, she turns her around
  102. "Coco, I don't care if you hate me after today's events but you have to trust me."
  103. >"But-"
  104. "No 'buts' Coco, if you want to get out of this alive and not go back being a slave, then you have to listen to me from this moment on! And this goes for the rest of you too."
  105. >She finishes sharply, letting go of Coco causing her to stumble
  106. "Especially you Lyra."
  107. >"What did I do!?!"
  108. >She says in sarcastic distress
  109. >"I don't believe you."
  110. >Coco says getting up with Scootaloo’s help
  111. "You don't have to believe me, you only have to listen."
  112. >The two lock eyes for a moment before Coco backs down choosing to return to Fluttershy
  113. >Scootaloo looks at Bonbon and Lyra before joining the other two
  114. "Good, nice to see some actual obedience for once."
  115. >Bon-Bon turns back
  116. >Climbing the ditch once more she pops her head out
  117. >She looks over their surrounding area once more
  118. >It seemed clear
  119. >But unless they begin to move now, they’ll never loose their trail
  120. *Sigh* “Its going to be one of those nights, isn’t it?”
  121. -Somewhere else-
  122. >"Master your 8 o'clock coffee."
  123. > A light blue mare with a periwinkle mane and a pigment blue streak says as she places the cup on his desk
  124. >"Ah, Minnie always on time."
  125. >The man puts down the documents he was reading and takes a sip
  126. > Before he could say anything else the door suddenly opens as a hesitant bearded man enters
  127. "Officer Smith!"
  128. >"Well there goes one quiet evening...."
  129. >He places his cup down as the man stops right in front of his desk
  130. >"Excuse me mister, no one's allowed in Master Smith's office withou-"
  131. >"Now now, Minnie I can handle this."
  132. >He says patting her head.
  133. >"What is it now Anon? Did one of the pegasi get stuck in the barbed wire again? ”
  134. "CODE VIOLET!"
  135. >Smith just stares at the man
  136. >Grabbing his cup, he takes another sip
  137. >"Master, what's 'code violet' ?
  138. > Minnie asks
  139. >"Could you leave me and Mister Anonymous alone for a bit, this is an urgent matter."
  140. >"Of course Master!"
  141. >And with that she makes her way out the room closing the door shut
  142. >Smith pinches the top of his nose
  143. >"How many lost?"
  144. "10 deaths, 5 of them escaped."
  145. >"From which groups?"
  146. "They targeted all three labs; mobs from each overwhelmed the guards."
  147. >" Do you have the numbers of those who escaped?”
  148. >Smith says bitterly
  149. "E-22, P-07, P-24, U-69 and a newly arrived-"
  150. >"Newly arrived?"
  151. >He curiously asks
  152. >Anon hands him a folder
  153. >Taking it, Smith examines the cover
  154. >What seemed to be the remains of a classified stamp was blotted out by thick marker ink
  155. >He opens it and finds a similar mess inside, though there seemed to be some freshly printed documents
  156. >"E-69. Earth pony with a cream coat, sky blue eyes, a two lined mane; navy blue and pink; and the typical equal sign for an ass mark......."
  157. >He looks at Anon with a disheartening face
  158. >Anon could only chuckle haphazardly
  159. >"Choosing the name 'Bonbon’; originally captured roaming around Fort Tilden; later deemed suitable for the program after given a routine stem test. She was later transferred multiple times after showing ‘unusual feats of ingenuity in escaping’....."
  160. "Sir I can explain-"
  161. >Smith raises his hand cutting Anon short
  162. >"From sharpened toothbrushes, bent metal key openers, and stolen or used tranquilizer darts; to multiple attempts at seducing facility staff, creating homemade tear gas and what seemed to be a makeshift fertilizer bomb......"
  163. "Or maybe not."
  164. >"It's highly recommended to keep E-69 under high surveillance with little contact from the outside world."
  165. >Anon gulps
  166. >"Looks like we got a real special one, now do we Anon?"
  167. >He slams the folder on his desk
  168. >"What are the current conditions of the other four?"
  169. "Well P-24 is heavily pregnant with her first foal, P-07 is still to young to be tested so she's still clean, while E-22 has already been implanted with a different mix of seeds. U-69 on the other hand is classified."
  170. >Smith grabs his cup and takes another sip
  171. >"And why only till now was I kept in the dark about this E-69 subject?"
  172. "I'm not sure sir, the folder was just hand delivered to the facility when I arrived."
  173. >"Mmmmmm..."
  174. >He looks over the documents once more
  175. >" And how were the attempts to retrieve them?
  176. >Smith asks nonchalantly
  177. "Failure so far, we lost them in the wilderness. O-one of them somehow used a squirrel to trick the bloodhounds by wrapping a bow tie around the squirrel’s neck trailing their scent."
  178. >Smith continued to look down
  179. >"Causing a riot to keep security busy and a squirrel to avoid pure bred bloodhounds-"
  180. "Though we did find one unconscious with a gash in her head just a couple feet from the fence."
  181. >Anon interjects
  182. >"-Also knows how to bait.....truly an unusual feat of ingenuity, would you agree Anon?
  183. >He looks up cocking his brow
  184. >Anon begins to sweat
  185. "Of course sir! First in my entire life!"
  186. >Smith looks down at the papers again
  187. >"Well it looks like I’m going to have to speak with my superiors about this...."
  188. >He begins to get up, collecting all of his papers with him
  189. >"When's the earliest you can renew your search efforts?"
  190. "We recently got more men combing the east side of the wilderness, but we've been getting reports that a-a snow storm was destined for land fall this morning so we're going to hold out until its done."
  191. >Smith's face soured
  192. >"Real sloppy work Anon, just be glad your reputation as a handler continues to shield you from the pink slip."
  193. >Having what he needs, he heads towards the door
  194. >"When the storm settles I want your men searching every nook and cranny of this area until bodies are found."
  195. >He opens the door
  196. >"Is everything clear?"
  197. >Anon hesitates for a moment
  198. "Y-yes sir!"
  199. >"Now would you please....?
  200. >He gestures towards the door
  201. "..................Oh!"
  202. >Anon gets up and quickly empty's out the room
  203. >"Good."
  204. >Smith closes the door behind him, locking it
  205. >"Is everything okay Master?"
  206. > Minnie asks, standing over her empty bowl of food
  207. >"Everything’s fine Minnie-"
  208. >"Everything's just fine.............."
  209. __________________________
  210. >”S-s-so-o-o-o c-cold!”
  211. “Fluttershy you have to keep moving!”
  212. >”B-b-but-“
  213. >Tears swell up in her eyes
  214. “Come on just a few more hooves!”
  215. >Bon-Bon begins to forcefully push against the pregnant mare
  216. >”NO! Please, I can’t walk anymore!”
  217. >She collapses
  218. >Sobbing her heart out in the cold snow
  219. >”Bon-Bon you’re hurting her!”
  220. >Coco leaps in front of the mare before she could continue her pushing
  221. ”Coco we can’t stop moving, every second we stop is another second they have before catching us!”
  222. >Bon-Bon tries to maneuver around Coco with no luck
  223. “Quit-Making-This-DIFFICULT!”
  224. >Grunting she grabs Coco tackling her to the frozen ground
  225. >Hooves go flying as the two begin to scuffle
  226. >”Please stop! I didn’t mean for any of this!”
  227. >Fluttershy wails as she sees the two pony’s beating the living daylights out of one another
  228. >”Hey! Hey! Hey!”
  229. >Using what little of her magic she had left
  230. >Lyra painfully separates the two
  231. >”Scootaloo! I could use some help here!”
  232. >The filly who was just watching by the sideline rushes to Lyra’s aid
  233. >She grabs on to Coco, allowing Lyra to focus most of her attention on Bon-bon
  234. “Ugh-Erm! Lyra put me down!”
  235. >Bon-Bon screams
  236. >”Only if you –OW- promise not to –AH- hurt anypony!”
  237. >Sparks starts to fly out of Lyra’s horn as a signal stream of blood runs down from her nose
  238. “Fine, you’re hurting yourself!”
  239. >”Thank you.”
  240. >The yellow aura surrounding Bon-Bon disappears as she drops to the ground
  241. >Lyra sighs falling on her hindquarters
  242. >”Hey Scootaloo, I won’t hurt anypony either, so ah……could you please stop holding me?”
  243. >”But you’re so warm.”
  244. >Scootaloo mutters as she continues to rub her head in Coco’s chest fluff
  245. >Coco rubs her back a bit before gently removing her
  246. >Scowling she turns her attention back to Bon-Bon
  247. >”Lyra, are you okay?”
  248. >She switches her attention to the bleeding mare
  249. >”Yeah! Peachy, Ay O’kay! –gah-“
  250. >Lyra continues to rub her horn
  251. >”And what about you Fluttershy?”
  252. >The sniffling mare said nothing as she continued shiver
  253. >”See what you’ve done?”
  254. >Coco groans as she limps towards Fluttershy
  255. >Scootaloo tags along hugging her leg to support her and for warmth
  256. >She shuffles around trying to create space between her and Bon-Bon
  257. >All the while Bon-Bon looks at her with an ugly grimace
  258. >”Shhhh-Shhhh, its alright-“
  259. >Coco removes her ragged ascot and places it around Fluttershy’s neck
  260. >”-no more tears now…”
  261. >”Th-thank you..”
  262. >Fluttershy murmurs, still wiping the frozen tear drops from her face
  263. >Scootaloo rushes in to hug her
  264. >”Mmmmm, so cozy!”
  265. >Fluttershy blushes as Scootaloo borrows between her overgrown chest fluff and belly for maximum warmth
  266. >”Scootaloo not so ruff you don’t hurt the baby any more than what Bon-Bon already did.”
  267. “It wasn’t even a hard push!”
  268. >Bon-Bon interjects
  269. >Glaring at the cream pony as she rubs Fluttershy’s belly
  270. >”Pushing a pregnant mare down to her knees is what you call ‘not hard’?
  271. “Well that wasn’t the intended idea-“
  272. >Bon-Bon slowly tries to approach them
  273. >”Stay back Bon-Bon!”
  274. >Coco yells
  275. >Fluttershy hesitantly shakes her head back and forth
  276. >Mouthing the word ‘no’ to Bon-Bon
  277. >Bon-Bon complies
  278. “-sigh- Alright fine, we’ll rest for a bit but after this we’re walking non-stop till sunset.”
  279. >”Is that all?”
  280. >Coco gets on all fours and limps in front of Fluttershy
  281. >”Where’s the apology?”
  282. >The distance between the two mares continues to diminish
  283. >”Can’t you see Fluttershy can’t even walk anymore-“
  284. “You’re pushing your luck Pommel….”
  285. >”-And you still want us to walk through icy wasteland.”
  286. >The two are now only a foot away from each other
  287. >”What’s wrong with you?”
  288. >Coco says with actual sympathy in her voice
  289. >Bon-Bon huffs
  290. “A lot of things, things you don’t even want to imagine. But that’s beside the point, if we don’t pass the main interstate highway by sundown we’re never going to lose them…”
  291. >”Interstate highway?”
  292. >Coco tilts her head curiously
  293. “Basically a massive road where humans drive those mini trains on to get-“
  294. >”Wha?”
  295. “Never mind, lets just say I learned a lot about this world during my little trips in and out of those prisons. Now Coco if we don’t make it to that highway right away, when we do make it they’ll be sitting around waiting for us with darts and dogs. I don’t know about you, but I promised myself to never ever return to that place or any other place like it!”
  296. >The tension between the two is stiff
  297. >Fluttershy begins to hug Scootaloo like a stuff bear anxiously as she watches the unstable mares argue
  298. >Lyra currently as her head buried in the snow, oblivious to everything as she tries to cool down her headache
  299. “I have a mission to complete and by Celestia’s name I plan on delivering on time!-“
  300. >Bon-Bon lays a hoof down
  301. >>-A
  302. “And I’m not going to let some yarn spinner stop me from my goal!”
  303. >”YARN SPINNER!”
  304. >Coco angrily yells as she lunges for Bon-Bon again
  305. >This time though Bon-Bon was ready
  306. >Using Coco’s momentum against her, she manages to catch her in a head lock
  307. >She struggles trying to get free but Bon-Bon continues to tighten her grip
  308. >Coco’s face starts to turn a light shade of purple as she’s too weak to break her grip
  309. >She resorts to kicking Bon-Bon straight in gut
  310. >Bon-Bon unfazed by her attacks, gets the poor mare on to her knees
  311. >”STOOOOOOOOOOOOP!”
  312. >The echoing howl pierces through the frigid tundra
  313. >Birds of all sorts begin to fly in fear as snow from the top of the highest tree begins to from its sheer force
  314. >”-Dramatic gasping for air sound-Wait what happened, do it again I wasn’t looking!”
  315. >Lyra spastically looks around trying to comprehend what just happened
  316. >Gathering whatever force she had left
  317. >Fluttershy nudges Scootaloo away from her as she raises back on to her hooves
  318. >”Fluttershy wait!”
  319. >”Don’t worry im going to be fine.”
  320. >She hushes the young filly
  321. >“If they don’t behave, make them your slave….”
  322. >Painful memories begin to flood her mind once more as she struggles to stand
  323. >”You have to be assertive…..”
  324. >She whispers to herself repeatedly as she turns towards the other two
  325.
  326.
  327.
  328. >”Mmmmmmm, warm….”
  329. >Lyra winces in pain as Scootaloo uses her overgrown mane as a makeshift blanket
  330. >”Easy Scoots, just because I’m letting you ride on my back doesn’t mean you get free rein back there.”
  331. >”S-s-s-sorry Lyra, i-its just so c-c-cold.”
  332. >”Im cold too Scootaloo, but pulling my mane isn’t making this any more enjoyable than it already is.”
  333. >Shuddering, Scootaloo buries her face further down into Lyra’s mane
  334. >Lyra sighs, letting the orange filly have her way
  335. >The four mares mush forcefully through the freshly packed snow
  336. >The storm before was a unexpected surprise for sure
  337. >Bon-Bon ranted and raved when the first freshly baked flakes of frozen water befell on them
  338. >Originally they all tried to ignore it, walking through the the rising wind just fine
  339. >But when it began to fall in more collective clumps, they knew they were in for a treat
  340. >Luckily they came across a narrow eroded brook where they took temporary shelter
  341. >They managed to start a small fire using what little magic capability Lyra still had
  342. >Using Coco’s collar and some of Bon-Bon’s hair to fuel it
  343. >Still neither of them said a word to one another
  344. >The past confrontation still left Coco, Fluttershy and Scootaloo wary of their ambiguous guide
  345. >Only Lyra tried to lighten the mood, but still none of the mares were interested in her tall tales
  346. >They seemed mostly interested in trying to get as much sleep as possible before having to trek back outside
  347. >Morning wasn’t any better
  348. >The snow was thick with an easy cool cream like look to its texture, as the whirling hornet’s nest of wind stung any living thing in its path
  349. >Sighing Bon-Bon wakes the others up
  350. >None of this was going according plan, it never goes according to plan
  351. >Ignoring their cries
  352. >Bon-Bon was the first out, making holes for Fluttershy to step in
  353. >Complaining but seeing no other way around the snow, they trekked on
  354. >”Brrrrrr!”
  355. >Coco’s body twitched as she trembled with each wet step she took
  356. >”B-Bon-Bon maybe w-we should stop and l-look for shelter.”
  357. “Shelter?”
  358. >Bon-Bon looks behind her as she helped Fluttershy move through the snow
  359. >”Sh-Shelter sounds nice -huff-“
  360. >The yellow mare mutters as she forces herself against snow
  361. >She’s ignored
  362. “Shelter where? There’s nothing but trees and snow around us, where are we going to find a shelter?”
  363. >”M-M-Maybe we could find a-another hollowed out t-t-tree....”
  364. >Coco ties her ascot tighter around her neck
  365. “We got lucky before, we’re not going to get lucky now. Plus, if we make lots of progress today than tomorrow isn’t going to be so hard.”
  366. >Bon-Bon sniffles as she returns her full attention to Fluttershy
  367. >”A-are you sure we c-can’t ‘stop’ I-I mean, they wouldn’t look for us in a storm like this?”
  368. >Coco continues in her attempts to persuade Bon-Bon
  369. “They would, with no doubt they’re looking for us right now. Even if you were right, moving now would still give us a massive advantage.”
  370. >”Or leave us mostly frozen solid.”
  371. >Bon-Bon rolls her eyes
  372. “Well, you could always leave. Just take any turn towards the right or left, maybe you’ll find a lovely log cabin with a nice human inside, humans that won’t enslave you or give you to the authorities!”
  373. >Bon-Bon utters without turning around, putting the mare back in her place
  374. >Coco mutters some things under her breath but decides to keep it to herself
  375. >She instead starts to lean left towards Lyra and Scootaloo
  376. >”Hey what’s her deal?”
  377. >She asks the energetic mint colored mare
  378. >”Huh?”
  379. >”Oh, don’t play dumb with me. Y-You’re friend there, why is she s-sooo-”
  380. >Lyra cuts her off
  381. >”Pushy, bossy, a bit of a hard flank?”
  382. >Coco nods
  383. >”Well…….she’s always been the serious type…”
  384. >Grunts and groans from Fluttershy are heard as Bon-Bon continually tries to keep the pregnant mare moving
  385. >”...always complaining about things, never wants to do anything fun or has time for anything fun; we’re secret agents after all….”
  386. >Lyra’s eyebrows mischievously go up and down, as she smiles mischievously
  387. >”Agents to what exactly? T-The old kingdom is gone and whoever was still f-fighting for the old order is either dead or enslaved.”
  388. >”To the resistance! Who else would we follow?”
  389. >Coco now seemed genuinely interested
  390. >”There’s……. a resistance?”
  391. >”Pffffhhhh-”
  392. >Lyra chuckles
  393. >”Is there a resistance? HA! Of course there’s a resistance, if there wasn’t one we wouldn’t be risking our lives in saving anypony here.”
  394. >”Do you even know where we’re going?”
  395. >”To the resistance camp! Where else?”
  396. >Lyra licks her lips as she looks to Bon-Bon then back to Coco
  397. >”Could you elaborate a bit more, I mean I hate to ask stuff constantly but it just seems like we’ve been walking to nowhere at this point.”
  398. >”Well, i'm not too sure myself, if you really want to know then you have to ask Bon-Bon herself.”
  399. >Coco remises on the idea of talking to Bon-Bon again
  400. >”I hope you’re right.”
  401. >”There’s nothing the matter Coco, yeah it's cold but just think of all the nice food, bedding, and shelter we’ll get when we reach the camp!”
  402. >”Food? Food where?”
  403. >Scootaloo drowsily says, emerging from Lyra’s mane as she wipes the sand from her eyes
  404. >”False alarm Scoots, we’re just talking spy stuff and all.”
  405. >Lyra smiles at the tired filly
  406. >”J-just go back to sleep Scootaloo, we’ll be t-there soon.”
  407. >Coco lies through her teeth
  408. >”Oh…...okay….”
  409. >Scootaloo yawns as she returns to her nap
  410. >”I still c-can’t believe she’s made it this far with us.”
  411. >Coco lifts a hoof rubbing the filly’s neck
  412. >Then continually down her back, lifting her hoof when she neared her cutiemark
  413. >Or what was left of a cutiemark
  414. >Coco looks back at her own mark
  415. >Nothing more than a branded equal sign remained
  416. >Like anypony else
  417. >”Yeah, she’s a tough little one. I guess she gets it from all that time hovering around Rainbow Dash back in Ponyvile.”
  418. >Lyra chips in
  419. >”You know Rainbow Dash?”
  420. >Coco asserts
  421. >”Not really, we just live in the same town.”
  422. >”Oh…”
  423. >”Why? You know her?”
  424. >Lyra asks
  425. >”Well sorta, I’m good friends with her friend Rarity an-”
  426. >She pauses
  427. >”I was good friends with Rarity…”
  428. >”Rarity! Pffffffff-I haven’t heard that primadonna's name in ages!”
  429. >Coco frowns at the giggling mare
  430. >Lyra quickly takes notice
  431. >”Heh, sorry…”
  432. >She smiles half heartedly as Coco looks the side
  433. “Fluttershy! Come on!”
  434. >Bon-Bon roars catching the attention of the two mares and waking up the filly
  435.
  436. >”S-s-so-o-o-o c-cold!”
  437. “You have to keep moving!”
  438. >”B-b-but-“
  439. >Tears swell up in her eyes
  440. “Come on just a few more hooves!”
  441. >Bon-Bon begins to forcefully push against the pregnant mare
  442. >”NO! Please, I can’t walk anymore!”
  443. >She collapses
  444. >Sobbing her heart out in the cold snow
  445. >”Bon-Bon you’re hurting her!”
  446. >Coco runs and leaps in front of the mare before she could continue her pushing
  447. ”Coco we can’t stop moving, every second we stop is another second they have before catching us!”
  448. >Bon-Bon tries to maneuver around Coco with no luck
  449. “Quit-Making-This-DIFFICULT!”
  450. >Grunting she grabs Coco tackling her to the frozen ground
  451. >Hooves go flying as the two begin to scuffle
  452. >”Please stop! I didn’t mean for any of this!”
  453. >Fluttershy wails as she sees the two ponies beating the living daylights out of one another
  454. >”Hey! Hey! Hey!”
  455. >Using what little of her magic she had left
  456. >Lyra painfully separates the two
  457. >”Scootaloo! I could use some help here!”
  458. >Now fully awake, Scootaloo jumps off her back and springs into action
  459. >She grabs on to Coco, allowing Lyra to focus most of her attention on Bon-bon
  460. “Ugh-Erm! Lyra put me down!”
  461. >Bon-Bon screams
  462. >”Only if you –OW- promise not to –AH- hurt anypony!”
  463. >Sparks start to fly out of Lyra’s horn as a signal stream of blood runs down from her nose
  464. “Fine! Just stop! You’re hurting yourself!”
  465. >”Thank you.”
  466. >The yellow aura surrounding Bon-Bon disappears as she drops to the ground
  467. >Lyra sighs falling on her hindquarters
  468. >”Hey Scootaloo, I won’t hurt anypony either, so ah……could you please stop holding me?”
  469. >”But you’re so warm.”
  470. >Scootaloo mutters as she continues to rub her head in Coco’s chest fluff
  471. >Coco rubs her back a bit before gently removing her
  472. >Scowling she starts to shoot daggers at Bon-Bon
  473. >But noticing the bleeding mare next to her
  474. >She switches her attention to Lyra
  475. >”Lyra, are you okay?”
  476. >”Yeah! Peachy, Ay O’kay! –gah-“
  477. >Lyra continues to rub her horn
  478. >”And what about you Fluttershy?”
  479. >The sniffling mare said nothing as she continued shiver
  480. >”See what you’ve done?”
  481. >Coco groans as she limps towards Fluttershy
  482. >Scootaloo tags along hugging her leg to support her and for warmth
  483. >She shuffles around trying to create space between her and Bon-Bon
  484. >All the while Bon-Bon looks at her with an ugly grimace
  485. >”Shhhh-Shhhh, its alright-“
  486. >Coco removes her ragged ascot and places it around Fluttershy’s neck
  487. >”-no more tears now…”
  488. >”Th-thank you..”
  489. >Fluttershy murmurs, still wiping the frozen tear drops from her face
  490. >Scootaloo rushes in to hug her
  491. >”Mmmmm, so cozy!”
  492. >Fluttershy blushes as Scootaloo borrows between her overgrown chest fluff and belly for maximum warmth
  493. >”Scootaloo not so ruff, you don’t want to hurt the baby any more than what Bon-Bon already did.”
  494. “It wasn’t even a hard push!”
  495. >Bon-Bon interjects
  496. >Glaring at the cream pony as she rubs Fluttershy’s belly
  497. >”Pushing a pregnant mare down to her knees is what you call ‘not hard’?
  498. “Well that wasn’t the intended idea-“
  499. >Bon-Bon slowly tries to approach them
  500. >”Stay back Bon-Bon!”
  501. >Coco yells
  502. >Fluttershy hesitantly shakes her head back and forth
  503. >Mouthing the word ‘no’ to Bon-Bon
  504. >Bon-Bon complies
  505. “-sigh- Alright fine, we’ll rest for a bit but after this we’re walking non-stop till sunset.”
  506. >”Is that all?”
  507. >Coco gets on all fours and limps in front of Fluttershy
  508. >”Where’s the apology?”
  509. >The distance between the two mares continues to diminish
  510. >”Can’t you see Fluttershy can’t even walk anymore-“
  511. “You’re pushing your luck Pommel….”
  512. >”-And you still want us to walk through this icy wasteland.”
  513. >The two are now only a foot away from each other
  514. >”What’s wrong with you?”
  515. >Coco says with actual sympathy in her voice for once
  516. >Bon-Bon huffs
  517. “A lot of things, things you don’t even want to imagine. But that’s beside the point, if we don’t pass the main interstate highway by sundown we’re never going to lose them…”
  518. >”Interstate highway?”
  519. >Coco tilts her head curiously
  520. “Basically a massive road where humans drive those mini trains on to get-“
  521. >”Wha?”
  522. “Never mind, let's just say I learned a lot about this world during my little trips in and out of those prisons. Now Coco if we don’t make it to that highway right away, when we do make it they’ll be sitting around waiting for us with darts and dogs. I don’t know about you, but I promised myself to never ever return to that place or any other place like it!”
  523. >The tension between the two is stiff
  524. >Fluttershy begins to hug Scootaloo like a stuffed bear anxiously as she watches the unstable mares argue
  525. >Lyra currently as her head buried in the snow, oblivious to everything as she tries to cool down her headache
  526. “I have a mission to complete and by Celestia’s name I plan to on deliver on time!-“
  527. >Bon-Bon lays a hoof down
  528. “And I’m not going to let some two-bit-yarn-spinner stop me from my goal!”
  529. >”YARN SPINNER!”
  530. >Coco angrily yells as she lunges for Bon-Bon again
  531. >This time though Bon-Bon was ready
  532. >Using Coco’s momentum against her, she manages to catch her in a headlock
  533. >She struggles trying to get free but Bon-Bon continues to tighten her grip
  534. >Coco’s face starts to turn a light shade of purple as she’s too weak to break her grip
  535. >Resorting to kicking the mare in the gut
  536. >Bon-Bon unfazed by her attacks, gets the poor mare on to her knees
  537. >”STOOOOOOOOOOOOP!”
  538. >The echoing howl pierces through the frigid tundra
  539. >Birds of all sorts begin to fly in fear as snow from the top of the highest tree begins to fall due to the sheer force
  540. >”-Dramatic gasping for air sound- Wait what happened, do it again I wasn’t looking!”
  541. >Lyra spastically looks around trying to comprehend what just happened
  542. >Gathering whatever force she had left
  543. >Fluttershy nudges Scootaloo away from her as she raises back on to her hooves
  544. >”Fluttershy wait!”
  545. >”Don’t worry im going to be fine.”
  546. >She hushes the young filly
  547. >“If they don’t behave, make them your slave….”
  548. >Painful memories begin to flood her mind once more as she struggles to stand
  549. >”You have to be assertive…..”
  550. >She whispers to herself repeatedly as she turns towards the other two
  551. >”I’ve honestly had it up to here with you two!”
  552. >Putting her foot down, she turns to face them
  553. >Bon-Bon releases the mare shocked by Fluttershy’s unexpected response
  554. >Coco crawls away, gasping for air
  555. >”It's been nothing but fighting and arguing since we got out! I came to accept the coldness, I got over the loneliness of missing my friends, I even ignored my poor tummy and the little one in there crying food! But fighting is the last straw!”
  556. >She points her hoof at Bon-Bon
  557. >”I don’t care who you say you are and I don’t care who you work for, starting fights with Coco is not going to get us anywhere!”
  558. >Lyra and Scootaloo are left silently watching Fluttershy as she continues to bash the mare in front of her
  559. >Bon-Bon says nothing, scowling at the mare
  560. >”-sigh- Bon-Bon I understand you’re just trying to help but please could you just stop and see you’re asking for the impossible here. I can’t go any longer…”
  561. >Tears start to form in her eyes as she struggles to stand
  562. >”....Bon-Bon i’m tired, my ankles are like jelly I-I can’t keep on going like this -sniff-”
  563. >If on cue she falls to her knees
  564. >”Just stop -sniff- p-please stop…….”
  565. >Bon-Bon just stands there looking at her
  566. >Not so much scowling but her face doesn’t necessarily reads contempt either
  567. >She lifts her head to see the others looking at her
  568. >Speechless by Fluttershy’s sudden action and Bon-Bon’s general apathy
  569. >They just stare at her not knowing what to do
  570. >The sun seemed to be peaking, rays of its light poking through what remained of the cloudy hellstorm from the blizzard before
  571. >It must be noon
  572. >Bon-Bon uncomfortably stretches her neck as the echoing teardrops falling onto the cold hard snow begins to bother her
  573. >She swallows hard trying to form words to say
  574. “Sorry….”
  575. >”Huh?”
  576. >Fluttershy lifts her head up, rubbing her red eyes of tears
  577. “I’m sorry! I was a jerk, I was being unreasonably cruel…”
  578. “Unreasonably!?!”
  579. >Coco barks
  580. “Fine, I was a hardass on everypony….”
  581. >Bon-Bon looks back down to Fluttershy
  582. >She stares back with her big blue beaming eyes, with the glare of the sun shining against her dying tears
  583. >Amplifying her innocence as it radiates to anything that sees it
  584. >Sighing Bon-Bon carefully but gently helps the poor mare up
  585. >Seeing this Coco, immediately springs back up readying herself to attack
  586. >A green hoof stops her before she could get far
  587. >”Lyra what are you doing?”
  588. >”I think she gets it.”
  589. >She points over back to Bon-Bon as she leads Fluttershy towards a tree
  590. “It's not the best resting spot, but it’ll do for now.”
  591. >Laying down first she instructs Fluttershy to rest on her
  592. >“Um….excuse me?”
  593. “You heard what I said, just do it.”
  594. >Not wanting to anger the earth pony any more, she lays down right on top of her
  595. >A couple grunts and groans seep from Bon-Bon as the pregnant mare makes herself comfortable
  596. >”I don’t think she got anything…”
  597. >Coco mutters to Lyra as the mint pony covers Scootaloo’s eyes
  598. “Are you girls just going to stand there or are you going to help us stay warm?”
  599. >”Warm!”
  600. >Scootaloo hearing the magic word, sprints towards the mares
  601. >Bon-Bon and Fluttershy’s eyes go wide as they try to tell the filly to slow down
  602. >Giving no prior thought she leaps at a moment's notice
  603. >Like a bullet, she sandwiches herself right between the two
  604. >Knocking the air out of Fluttershy and adding more weight to the already crushed Bon-Bon
  605. “For Celestia’s sake kid!”
  606. >”Hey, you’re the one that offered!”
  607. >Scootaloo nips back as she made herself cozy in the pile
  608. >Coco looks to Lyra waiting for her response
  609. >Lyra looks to Coco waiting for hers
  610. >..........
  611. >”Eh…”
  612. >Shrugging, the mint mare trots gleefully towards the others
  613. >Finding a nice place in the pile
  614. >”You joining or what?”
  615. >Lyra waves at Coco
  616. >Shivering she contemplates the decision
  617. >The last thing she wanted to do was get any where near that crazy mare Bon-Bon
  618. >But it did look pretty warm from where she was standing
  619. >And Bon-Bon already had three ponies buried right on top of her
  620. >Wasting no time Coco joins the group, finding a spot right on top of Fluttershy
  621. >With Bon-Bon directly under her
  622. “Pommel, once this is over! OW-”
  623. >Scootaloo kicks the mare
  624. >”Just shut up, you have the best spot in the whole pile what are you complaining about?”
  625. >”Yeah Bon-Bon listen to the filly, you’re covered on all four sides now.”
  626. >Lyra quips at the growling mare
  627. >The other girls giggle at her predicament
  628. >Eventually either through tiredness or stress, one by one they all doze off
  629. ___________________________
  630. >Flakes of gray ash wisp around as they follow you
  631. >Hobbling down into the bunker you begin to worry everypony else has already left
  632. >They wouldn’t leave you , you’ve been with these ponies for years
  633. >Through the good and the bad you were practically family
  634. >But……
  635. >Now on the final step, you look on how everything was in shambles
  636. >The magically burnt smell of paper still lingered
  637. >Telegraphs were smashes, calculating machines were destroyed and anything that wasn’t completely solid was forcefully shoved down a hoof cranked shredder
  638. >They did leave you
  639. >Limping around you drop to your flank just trying to comprehend what was happening
  640. >A set of bombs begin to drop over your position
  641. >The room shakes profusely but you give no mind to it as you continue to stare off into space
  642. “They left me…….”
  643. >Another set of bombs drop over head
  644. “Ow-”
  645. >A ceiling tile falls loose and breaks over your head knocking you out of your stupor
  646. >Wiping the remains off your mane, you spot a small colored coated candy rolling around
  647. >Getting back up, you walk towards the sweet
  648. >The wrapper had your mane color
  649. >Puzzled, you quickly come to realize what it meant
  650. “No…..no-no-no-no-no!”
  651. >You kick the treat away
  652. >Not like this, you can’t go out just like that
  653. “This can’t be right, this has to be joke!”
  654. >The bunker shakes again as the lights begin to come in and out
  655. >You huddle against a corner not knowing what to do
  656. >Lost, abandoned, and now they want you to kill yourself
  657. >How could they do this
  658. >Stuck in a war where half the population was already processed, they consider now is a good time to waste agents
  659. >This has to be a dream, none of this could be real
  660. >It’s probably another one of Luna’s simulations and you’re just doing really bad
  661. >Yeah, that’s right
  662. >You’re just taking a test, no need to panic
  663. >There’s probably another clue somewhere that’ll lead you to a hidden passageway
  664. >You just gotta find that clue though
  665. >Quivering, you hastily rummage around the bunker
  666. >Faster and faster you throw trash all over the place trying to find any form of a clue
  667. >Bombs continue to fall, just adding more to your paranoia
  668. >Eventually you do find something
  669. >Using all your strength
  670. >You push the busted calculating machine over to a corner as you discover a small filly size door
  671. “YES! Yes-Yes-Yes-Yes-Yes-Yes-Yes!”
  672. >You hop around like Lyra would after having one of her insane theories published in the newspaper
  673. >The same insane theories that led to this conflict in the same place
  674. >Sometimes you just want slap that pony
  675. >Another bomb strikes, bringing you back to reality
  676. >Without hesitation you fall on your back
  677. >Using all your strength from your hind legs you begin to repeatedly bash on the door
  678. >You grunt and groan with each kick you give off
  679. >The lights continue to flicker on and off as the bombs begin to drop less frequently
  680. >You paid no attention to it, the emerging cracks on the hardwood door were the only thing filling your mind at the moment
  681. >With one last bash, you break through only to yelp in pain as you hit something very sharp
  682. “Sweet Celestia!”
  683. >You recline, examining the extent of the damage
  684. >Sure enough your hoof was bleeding
  685. >A nice red gash was there staring right back at you
  686. >Biting your lip, you rip a piece of your uniform off and wrap it around the wound
  687. >It was still bleeding but it was better than nothing
  688. >You look back at the broken door
  689. >Crawling, you peer inside
  690. “.........”
  691. >A row of spikes laid horizontally attached to what seemed to be a magically made crystal formation laid inside
  692. >One spike particularly was dripping warm blood
  693. *BAM*
  694. >Turning towards the front, a loud banging noise could be heard from the door
  695. >They’ve found you
  696. *BAM*
  697. >Scrambling up, you made the mistake of putting weight on your injured hoof
  698. “Horse Apples!
  699. >You fall on your side reiling in pain
  700. *BAM*
  701. >That was the final bang as a more sizzling sound took over
  702. >You frantically look around the room hoping to find anything that’ll help you
  703. >They knew the battle was loss here, they couldn’t waste time in saving everypony or allow anything to fall in the enemy's disgusting hands
  704. >And that’s why they specifically gave you that bonbon
  705. >A sweet release, a taste of the days gone before death kicks in killing you
  706. >You stare at the condiment
  707. >Either go down fighting and get captured or kill yourself
  708. >One lets you live but you’ll probably be tortured and enslaved, while the other kills you
  709. >You’re liking the odds here
  710. >Maybe if your hoof wasn’t bleeding you would’ve had a better chance
  711. >Maybe……..
  712. >Who knows……
  713. >I’m going to die here aren’t I…..
  714. >Crawling over to the sweet
  715. >You unwrap its cover and stare at the chocolate treat in front of you
  716. “I-It will be easy…...just put it in your mouth, chew for a bit and swallow…..w-what’s so hard about it?”
  717. >You start to sweat profusely, as your hoof rejects every command you’re giving it
  718. “C-come on Sweetie, down the hatch. I-it’ll be over soon……”
  719. >Tears start to form, as all outside noises stop
  720. *BOOM*
  721. >As you barely manage to lick the bonbon, a large explosion is heard as the bunker door comes tumbling down the stairs
  722. >With it, two small cylindrical canisters drop next to it
  723. >If it weren’t for the tears, your eyes would be completely dry due to the bright shining light blinding your vision
  724. “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
  725. >You scream in pain, losing the bonbon from your hoof
  726. >Thrashing all over the floor, wanting the pain to go away
  727. >You could hear footsteps coming near
  728. >Ignoring your hoof, you try to fight them
  729. >Kicking and swinging all over the place trying to find a solid object
  730. >But it was to no avail
  731. >A quick jab to the gut and they’re carrying you outside
  732. >You still couldn’t see anything
  733. >And all you could really hear was ringing and ponies screaming bloody marry
  734. >They throw you on the ground and splash a bucket of water at your face
  735. >It wasn’t even clean
  736. >You cough and gag, using the liquid to relieve your eyes
  737. >Opening them, you could see a fairly pony shaped figure walking towards you
  738. >You try to reach out for her, barely whimpering help
  739. >But as your hearing cleared, you could just hear laughing from her
  740. >You lay speechless as her horn began to glow
  741. >A large orb of magic slowly formed, as your vision started to distinguish her facial features
  742. >She was grinning
  743. >That was all you could grasp before the orb came crashing down and………
  744. _____________________________
  745. “AHHHHHHHHHHHH-mgh!”
  746. >”Shhhhhhhhh…”
  747. >Scootaloo removes her hoof from Bon-Bon’s face
  748. >Panting, she shakes a light blanket of snow off her head as she anxiously checks her surroundings
  749. >Nothing still
  750. >The rest all shifted around Fluttershy more, somehow still being able to sleep under these temperatures
  751. >”You alright? You were having one heck of a nightmare there.”
  752. >Scootaloo mutters as she sits right next to you
  753. “Y-yeah, still kinda cold.”
  754. >”You can say that again, it's a good thing they didn’t take our fur or else we’ve would’ve been frozen popsicles by now.”
  755. >The filly nudges the mare trying to make her talk as her left eye twitches
  756. “Yeah, i-it is good thing….”
  757. >Bon-Bon looks up to the sky
  758. >Dark space gray clouds covered most of the horizon
  759. >They showed no sign of letting up
  760. >Everything does look noticeably darker than before
  761. “Scootaloo, how long were we out?”
  762. >Bon-Bon turns back to ask
  763. >The filly shrugs
  764. >”Beats me, if you didn’t kick me in your sleep then I guess we’d probably still be snoozing.”
  765. “Oh! Sorry, I didn’t mean to.”
  766. >”Don’t sweat it, I used to do it all the time when me and Rainbow Dash went campin-”
  767. >Scootaloo stood there silent for a moment
  768. >”I-I mean, don’t sweat it it was just an ancient.”
  769. >She clears her throat, turning her gaze towards something else
  770. >Bon-Bon does the same
  771. >A period passes both Scootaloo starts up again
  772. >”Soooooooooooooo……what was that ‘highway’ thing you were talking about?”
  773. “Huh?”
  774. >The mare breaks away from her pondering and turns towards the filly
  775. >”You know, before you and Coco started to fight you said we needed to pass a thing called a ‘highway’.”
  776. >Bon-Bon winces over the reminder
  777. “Oh, uh…..Yeah, an interstate highway….. i-its like this super road stretching for miles on end, made exclusively for the human’s mini trains.”
  778. >Scootaloo bobs her head
  779. >”Why would a human need a mini train? Couldn’t they just take a normal train to wherever they want?”
  780. >Bon-Bon mulled it over
  781. “Don’t quote me on this, but from what i've seen there’s just so many of them that it would be nearly impossible to accommodate enough normal trains for their population. So they just make one super road and allow a bunch of mini trains to ride along it.”
  782. >.....................
  783. >”Oooooooh. That makes sense.”
  784. “Like I said don’t quote me on it, I really never any real formal interactions with humans. Half the time I usually just try to escape or fight them off, most of the stuff I know comes from their TV’s and other ponies that are enslaved……...Oh and Lyra”
  785. >”Lyra?”
  786. “It’s a long story, just don’t ask.”
  787. >”Oh.”
  788. >Scootaloo looks away again after your sharp remark
  789. >But wasn’t long before she started back up again
  790. >”What’s beyond the highway?”
  791. >A cold shiver went down Bon-Bon’s spine causing her to twitch
  792. “Freedom……”
  793. >She says bluntly
  794. >”What about the resistance?”
  795. >The filly asks as Bon-Bon looks back up to the sky
  796. “They’ll be there too-”
  797. >She turns back to the filly scowling at her
  798. “-who told you about them?”
  799. >”I-I overheard Lyra and Coco talking about it an-and…”
  800. “...I-I just wanted-I mean I was curious about them, that’s all.”
  801. >Scootaloo shuffles away from the mare, uncomfortable from her glare
  802. >Seeing the distressed filly, Bon-Bon’s face softens as she looks back to the sky
  803. “-sigh- Don’t worry about it Scootaloo, when we get there we’ll have all the time in this world to ask them anything, that is if we ever make it there in the first place.”
  804. >”You don’t think we’ll make it?”
  805. “I don’t know what to think anymore. At the rate we’re going they’ll probably be gone, moved on to a new location far from this wintery wasteland, caring little about the stragglers who get left behind.”
  806. >Bon-Bon responds sneeringly
  807. “If we do make it, the four of you will be safe and sound. A roof over your head, beds with fluffy pillows, a nice fire keeping things warm, food….”
  808. >Scootaloo’s stomach growls at the sound of the word
  809. >She chuckles in embarrassment
  810. “...and for me an exchange of hooves, a pat on the back and a one way ticket back to enemy territory.”
  811. >”Wait they’re just gonna send you right back out there!?!”
  812. “Yeah, it's a bummer but this isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve been doing stuff for the S.M.I.L.E agency for years now, it doesn’t bother me at all anymore.”
  813. >Bon-Bon bites her lip saying that
  814. >”So what type of bad guys did you fight-”
  815. >Scootaloo springs back up
  816. >”-I mean before the whole war of course.”
  817. >She eagerly smiles waiting for a response
  818. “............You know that bugbear that attacked Ponyville a couple years ago?”
  819. >”Yeah.”
  820. “He was there for me.”
  821. >”Wait? Really!”
  822. “MmmmMmmm.”
  823. >Bon-Bon shakes her head, remembering all her past conflicts with the bugbear
  824. >”I thought it was just another random monster that came out from the Everfree.”
  825. “Nope, it was there for me.”
  826. >”Then how come I didn’t see you or Lyra fight the monster?”
  827. >Bon-Bon snorts
  828. “The princess and her friends already had the situation covered, I just laid low until the job was done, plus at the time S.M.I.L.E was technically disbanded so I’d be working for free.”
  829. >”That seems kinda lazy, that bugbear really did a lot of damage to the town but not as much damage as Rainbow Da-I-I mean as Twilight and her friends did to it.”
  830. >Impatiently her back leg starts to tap against the floor as she clears her throat again
  831. >Bon-Bon raises an eyebrow but decides against pressing on Scootaloo about any past problems
  832. >She did that once to a mare back a year ago, when she was locked up in one of those Auctioneer houses
  833. >It didn’t fair well for the pony in general, she became a sobbing mess refusing to quiet down even after being beaten several times before for the same reason
  834. >Whatever Bon-Bon struck, must’ve been the last cord as she just went ballistic in her wails
  835. >Eventually the humans had enough of her and she disappeared the next morning
  836. >No pony could sleep for an entire week, as the sound of the gun still rang in their ears
  837. >”So!”
  838. >Scootaloo restarts the conversation
  839. >”What exactly did you do to the bugbear to make it come looking for you?”
  840. >Bon-Bon was eagerly waiting for her to ask that
  841. “Now, where do I begin……”
  842. >She rubs the end of her chin as she digs deep into her past adventures
  843. >Jaw dropping tales about great skirmishes between her and the bugbear
  844. >Two bitter rivals fighting with no end in site
  845. >Of course some of it was stretched to add more substance to the action
  846. >Not to the extent how Lyra would spin it
  847. >That mare would take any story given to her and make it seem like the next best thing since slice bread
  848. >The filly didn’t seem to care though, the stories alone brought back wishful memories of the past, lost to the never ending pain of their current situation
  849. >And the snow, it was still really cold and snowy
  850. >The laughter between the two, woke up still dozing Coco
  851. >Who after just looking at the laughing ponies went back to sleep on top of the pregnant Fluttershy thinking she was still dreaming
  852. >As Bon-Bon was just about to begin another set of stories, she paused dramatically as if something terrible happened
  853. >”Ah? Bon-Bon you okay-MMMMM!”
  854. >She grabs the filly, covering her mouth with her hoof and presses her body against the tree
  855. >Scootaloo tries to struggle but her grip was to strong
  856. “Shhhhhhhhh!”
  857. >Eventually the filly does manage to get her mouth free
  858. >”What was that f-”
  859. >She stops mid-sentence as she begins to hear the same eerie sound that caused Bon-Bon to jump before
  860. *whop-whop-whop-whop-whop-whop-whop….*
  861. >Birds and any other creature that lives for the snow scurry away as the noise begins to intensify looming over everything that hears it
  862. “GET UP! GET UP GET UP!”
  863. >”GET UP! GET UP GET UP!”
  864. >”Geez louise, can a pony get any sleep around here!”
  865. >Lyra complains as she stretches her hooves
  866. >”W-What’s happening!”
  867. >”Bon-Bon this better be good.”
  868. >Coco bitterly says as she tries to calm down a panicked Fluttershy
  869. “No time to explain cover yourselves with snow, before-”
  870. >The noise becomes virtually unavoidable
  871. >In the sky, a black helicopter speeds past over their heads with another two joining it as they scatter throughout the grey sky
  872. “We have to run!”
