  1. 1.
  2. 2.

  3. 3.
    >"Bill go right! Jim, check the marshes! Joe take the mutts, see if they can find their scent!"
  4. 4.
    >The men do as they're told as they split up going off in different directions
  5. 5.
    >The flame of a small lighter could be seen out of the darkness of the night as the man commanding the group lights a cigar
  6. 6.
    >"Out of the entire week, it had to be a Sunday."
  7. 7.
    >Groaning he pulls on his beard wondering his next set of actions
  8. 8.
    >If what they told him was true, then this wouldn't be the usual cat and mouse game most slaves put up
  9. 9.
    >Unslinging his rifle, he loads another dart and cocks it
  10. 10.
    >Soon all the hunters were marching into the endless wilderness
  11. 11.
    >It was a particularly cold night
  12. 12.
    >Fall was coming to an end as Jack Frost was beginning to make his presence known
  13. 13.
    >Quivering rays of light pierce the never ending darkness
  14. 14.
    >Looking high and low for any signs of their target
  15. 15.
    >Soon the sounds of barking dogs fill the air as they chase an unseen creature
  16. 16.
    >Hearing their discovery the rest of the men rush towards them
  17. 17.
    >"Come on! Find dem bitches! Find dem!"
  18. 18.
    >Without hesitation the dogs pounce, a shriek is heard as they begin to sink their teeth within the creature
  19. 19.
    >"Joe get out of the way!"
  20. 20.
    >Spitting out the cigar butt, the leader of the three pushes in front of them to see the catch
  21. 21.
    >He whistles, causing the dogs to trot gleefully towards him
  22. 22.
    >Sitting up straight, one of them opens their mouth
  23. 23.
    >A heavily mangled squirrel falls out
  24. 24.
    >No one says anything as the leader picks up the creature
  25. 25.
    >Examining it, he grabs a violet cream bowtie wrapped around its neck
  26. 26.
    >Bringing it to his nose, he takes a quick whiff
  27. 27.
    >"Chocolate........"
  28. 28.
    >"Ah sir?"
  29. 29.
    >He taps his boss on the shoulder
  30. 30.
    >"Bill, we're going back to Smith's."
  31. 31.
    >He turns to face Bill
  32. 32.
    >"That girl just played us for fools!"
  33. 33.
    >After some more arguing the men scramble back
  34. 34.
    >Unbeknownst their bickering retreat, a pair of sky blue eyes stares at them from a far
  35. 35.
    >"Are they gone yet? I-is it safe?"
  36. 36.
    >An orange filly with a purple mane asks, nudging the cream color pony in front of her for a response
  37. 37.
"Not yet Scootaloo, go back to the others."
  38. 38.
    >She nudges the filly away
  39. 39.
    >Scootaloo sighs disappointed
  40. 40.
    >Sliding back down into the muddy ditch
  41. 41.
    >She enters a hallowed out tree where the others have taken refuge
  42. 42.
    >Looking back, the cream pony takes another gander of the area around her
  43. 43.
    >Nothing but the ambient light of Luna's midnight sun
  44. 44.
    >Satisfied with the result she returns to the others
  45. 45.
    "Is everyone alright?"
  46. 46.
    >The four of them look at one another
  47. 47.
    >"Coco's a bit bruised, Scootaloo seems fine and I don't think Fluttershy can carry that belly of hers any longer-"
  48. 48.
    >A mint pony says pointing behind her
  49. 49.
    >Scootaloo and Coco both try to comfort a visibly distressed Fluttershy as she rubs her heavily pregnant belly
  50. 50.
    >"-but besides the mud and coldness, I think everyone's here!"
  51. 51.
    >"Not everyone...."
  52. 52.
    >Coco speaks up
  53. 53.
    >Getting up, she slowly limps towards the other two
  54. 54.
    >”Coco, don’t-”
  55. 55.
    >Fluttershy begs
  56. 56.
    >"YOU LEFT THEM!"
  57. 57.
    >"Coco, pipe down!"
  58. 58.
    >The mint pony tries to calm her
  59. 59.
    >"No Lyra! She used her as bait!"
  60. 60.
    >The cream pony says nothing
  61. 61.
    >Lyra backs off giving her some space
  62. 62.
    >"How could you Bonbon, you promised all of us you'll get us out, not just Lyra and Fluttershy!"
  63. 63.
    >Coco begins to tear up
  64. 64.
    >"If not for Octavia, were you going to lie to me and use me as bait!"
  65. 65.
    >.....................
  66. 66.
    >"Huh! What about the others! What lies did you tell them to execute your master plan?"
  67. 67.
    >.....................
  68. 68.
    >"Huh!"
  69. 69.
    >No one said a word
  70. 70.
"Its Sweetie-my name is… Sweetie Drops......."
  71. 71.
    >"What?”
  72. 72.
    >Coco cocks her head confused
  73. 73.
    "No more lies."
  74. 74.
    >Bon-Bon takes in a deep breath
  75. 75.
"It was mission priority to free the element of Harmony at all cost, I-I..."
  76. 76.
    >Coco takes a step back
  77. 77.
    >"You're not making any sense."
  78. 78.
    >Bonbon looks down
  79. 79.
"-I wanted to, I-I really did but with Fluttershy's current condition I had to make... some tactical-sacrifices....."
  80. 80.
    >Coco just stares at her as do Fluttershy and Scootaloo
  81. 81.
    >"She's a secret agent."
  82. 82.
    >Lyra says blatantly
  83. 83.
"Oh for Celestia's sake Lyra, subtlety much?"
  84. 84.
    >Bon-Bon cries out
  85. 85.
    >"I couldn't help it, the tension was killing me."
  86. 86.
    >She says shrugging
  87. 87.
    >Rolling her eyes Bon-Bon turns back to Coco
  88. 88.
    >”Wh-wha……”
  89. 89.
    >Before Bonbon could respond Lyra interrupts her again
  90. 90.
    >"And Im a secret agent too-
  91. 91.
    "Lyra, you are not-"
  92. 92.
    >"Shhhhhhhhh!"
  93. 93.
    >"Just go with it....."
  94. 94.
    >She whispers to Bonbon, giving her a playful wink
  95. 95.
    >”You two are secret Agents?”
  96. 96.
    >Scootaloo says approaching the girls
  97. 97.
    >"Yeah! How do you think we managed to escape that testing facility? We had double spy power! Just ask Fluttershy herself!"
  98. 98.
    >The attention diverts back to the pregnant mare.
  99. 99.
    >"Um.....I don't think I have any say in this matter."
  100. 100.
    >She begins to blush in embarrassment, trying to cover up her belly
  101. 101.
    >Bon-Bon sighs
  102. 102.
    >Grabbing Coco, she turns her around
  103. 103.
"Coco, I don't care if you hate me after today's events but you have to trust me."
  104. 104.
    >"But-"
  105. 105.
"No 'buts' Coco, if you want to get out of this alive and not go back being a slave, then you have to listen to me from this moment on! And this goes for the rest of you too."
  106. 106.
    >She finishes sharply, letting go of Coco causing her to stumble
  107. 107.
    "Especially you Lyra."
  108. 108.
    >"What did I do!?!"
  109. 109.
    >She says in sarcastic distress
  110. 110.
    >"I don't believe you."
  111. 111.
    >Coco says getting up with Scootaloo’s help
  112. 112.
"You don't have to believe me, you only have to listen."
  113. 113.
    >The two lock eyes for a moment before Coco backs down choosing to return to Fluttershy
  114. 114.
    >Scootaloo looks at Bonbon and Lyra before joining the other two
  115. 115.
"Good, nice to see some actual obedience for once."
  116. 116.
    >Bon-Bon turns back
  117. 117.
    >Climbing the ditch once more she pops her head out
  118. 118.
    >She looks over their surrounding area once more
  119. 119.
    >It seemed clear
  120. 120.
    >But unless they begin to move now, they’ll never loose their trail
  121. 121.
*Sigh* “Its going to be one of those nights, isn’t it?”
  122. 122.
    -Somewhere else-
  123. 123.
    >"Master your 8 o'clock coffee."
  124. 124.
    > A light blue mare with a periwinkle mane and a pigment blue streak says as she places the cup on his desk
  125. 125.
    >"Ah, Minnie always on time."
  126. 126.
    >The man puts down the documents he was reading and takes a sip
  127. 127.
    > Before he could say anything else the door suddenly opens as a hesitant bearded man enters
  128. 128.
    "Officer Smith!"
  129. 129.
    >"Well there goes one quiet evening...."
  130. 130.
    >He places his cup down as the man stops right in front of his desk
  131. 131.
    >"Excuse me mister, no one's allowed in Master Smith's office withou-"
  132. 132.
    >"Now now, Minnie I can handle this."
  133. 133.
    >He says patting her head.
  134. 134.
    >"What is it now Anon? Did one of the pegasi get stuck in the barbed wire again? ”
  135. 135.
    "CODE VIOLET!"
  136. 136.
    >Smith just stares at the man
  137. 137.
    >Grabbing his cup, he takes another sip
  138. 138.
    >"Master, what's 'code violet' ?
  139. 139.
    > Minnie asks
  140. 140.
    >"Could you leave me and Mister Anonymous alone for a bit, this is an urgent matter."
  141. 141.
    >"Of course Master!"
  142. 142.
    >And with that she makes her way out the room closing the door shut
  143. 143.
    >Smith pinches the top of his nose
  144. 144.
    >"How many lost?"
  145. 145.
"10 deaths, 5 of them escaped."
  146. 146.
    >"From which groups?"
  147. 147.
"They targeted all three labs; mobs from each overwhelmed the guards."
  148. 148.
    >" Do you have the numbers of those who escaped?”
  149. 149.
    >Smith says bitterly
  150. 150.
    "E-22, P-07, P-24, U-69 and a newly arrived-"
  151. 151.
    >"Newly arrived?"
  152. 152.
    >He curiously asks
  153. 153.
    >Anon hands him a folder
  154. 154.
    >Taking it, Smith examines the cover
  155. 155.
    >What seemed to be the remains of a classified stamp was blotted out by thick marker ink
  156. 156.
    >He opens it and finds a similar mess inside, though there seemed to be some freshly printed documents
  157. 157.
    >"E-69. Earth pony with a cream coat, sky blue eyes, a two lined mane; navy blue and pink; and the typical equal sign for an ass mark......."
  158. 158.
    >He looks at Anon with a disheartening face
  159. 159.
    >Anon could only chuckle haphazardly
  160. 160.
    >"Choosing the name 'Bonbon’; originally captured roaming around Fort Tilden; later deemed suitable for the program after given a routine stem test. She was later transferred multiple times after showing ‘unusual feats of ingenuity in escaping’....."
  161. 161.
    "Sir I can explain-"
  162. 162.
    >Smith raises his hand cutting Anon short
  163. 163.
    >"From sharpened toothbrushes, bent metal key openers, and stolen or used tranquilizer darts; to multiple attempts at seducing facility staff, creating homemade tear gas and what seemed to be a makeshift fertilizer bomb......"
  164. 164.
    "Or maybe not."
  165. 165.
    >"It's highly recommended to keep E-69 under high surveillance with little contact from the outside world."
  166. 166.
    >Anon gulps
  167. 167.
    >"Looks like we got a real special one, now do we Anon?"
  168. 168.
    >He slams the folder on his desk
  169. 169.
    >"What are the current conditions of the other four?"
  170. 170.
"Well P-24 is heavily pregnant with her first foal, P-07 is still to young to be tested so she's still clean, while E-22 has already been implanted with a different mix of seeds. U-69 on the other hand is classified."
  171. 171.
    >Smith grabs his cup and takes another sip
  172. 172.
    >"And why only till now was I kept in the dark about this E-69 subject?"
  173. 173.
"I'm not sure sir, the folder was just hand delivered to the facility when I arrived."
  174. 174.
    >"Mmmmmm..."
  175. 175.
    >He looks over the documents once more
  176. 176.
    >" And how were the attempts to retrieve them?
  177. 177.
    >Smith asks nonchalantly
  178. 178.
"Failure so far, we lost them in the wilderness. O-one of them somehow used a squirrel to trick the bloodhounds by wrapping a bow tie around the squirrel’s neck trailing their scent."
  179. 179.
    >Smith continued to look down
  180. 180.
    >"Causing a riot to keep security busy and a squirrel to avoid pure bred bloodhounds-"
  181. 181.
"Though we did find one unconscious with a gash in her head just a couple feet from the fence."
  182. 182.
    >Anon interjects
  183. 183.
    >"-Also knows how to bait.....truly an unusual feat of ingenuity, would you agree Anon?
  184. 184.
    >He looks up cocking his brow
  185. 185.
    >Anon begins to sweat
  186. 186.
"Of course sir! First in my entire life!"
  187. 187.
    >Smith looks down at the papers again
  188. 188.
    >"Well it looks like I’m going to have to speak with my superiors about this...."
  189. 189.
    >He begins to get up, collecting all of his papers with him
  190. 190.
    >"When's the earliest you can renew your search efforts?"
  191. 191.
"We recently got more men combing the east side of the wilderness, but we've been getting reports that a-a snow storm was destined for land fall this morning so we're going to hold out until its done."
  192. 192.
    >Smith's face soured
  193. 193.
    >"Real sloppy work Anon, just be glad your reputation as a handler continues to shield you from the pink slip."
  194. 194.
    >Having what he needs, he heads towards the door
  195. 195.
    >"When the storm settles I want your men searching every nook and cranny of this area until bodies are found."
  196. 196.
    >He opens the door
  197. 197.
    >"Is everything clear?"
  198. 198.
    >Anon hesitates for a moment
  199. 199.
    "Y-yes sir!"
  200. 200.
    >"Now would you please....?
  201. 201.
    >He gestures towards the door
  202. 202.
    "..................Oh!"
  203. 203.
    >Anon gets up and quickly empty's out the room
  204. 204.
    >"Good."
  205. 205.
    >Smith closes the door behind him, locking it
  206. 206.
    >"Is everything okay Master?"
  207. 207.
    > Minnie asks, standing over her empty bowl of food
  208. 208.
    >"Everything’s fine Minnie-"
  209. 209.
    >"Everything's just fine.............."
  210. 210.
    __________________________
  211. 211.
    >”S-s-so-o-o-o c-cold!”
  212. 212.
“Fluttershy you have to keep moving!”
  213. 213.
    >”B-b-but-“
  214. 214.
    >Tears swell up in her eyes
  215. 215.
“Come on just a few more hooves!”
  216. 216.
    >Bon-Bon begins to forcefully push against the pregnant mare
  217. 217.
    >”NO! Please, I can’t walk anymore!”
  218. 218.
    >She collapses
  219. 219.
    >Sobbing her heart out in the cold snow
  220. 220.
    >”Bon-Bon you’re hurting her!”
  221. 221.
    >Coco leaps in front of the mare before she could continue her pushing
  222. 222.
”Coco we can’t stop moving, every second we stop is another second they have before catching us!”
  223. 223.
    >Bon-Bon tries to maneuver around Coco with no luck
  224. 224.
    “Quit-Making-This-DIFFICULT!”
  225. 225.
    >Grunting she grabs Coco tackling her to the frozen ground
  226. 226.
    >Hooves go flying as the two begin to scuffle
  227. 227.
    >”Please stop! I didn’t mean for any of this!”
  228. 228.
    >Fluttershy wails as she sees the two pony’s beating the living daylights out of one another
  229. 229.
    >”Hey! Hey! Hey!”
  230. 230.
    >Using what little of her magic she had left
  231. 231.
    >Lyra painfully separates the two
  232. 232.
    >”Scootaloo! I could use some help here!”
  233. 233.
    >The filly who was just watching by the sideline rushes to Lyra’s aid
  234. 234.
    >She grabs on to Coco, allowing Lyra to focus most of her attention on Bon-bon
  235. 235.
    “Ugh-Erm! Lyra put me down!”
  236. 236.
    >Bon-Bon screams
  237. 237.
    >”Only if you –OW- promise not to –AH- hurt anypony!”
  238. 238.
    >Sparks starts to fly out of Lyra’s horn as a signal stream of blood runs down from her nose
  239. 239.
    “Fine, you’re hurting yourself!”
  240. 240.
    >”Thank you.”
  241. 241.
    >The yellow aura surrounding Bon-Bon disappears as she drops to the ground
  242. 242.
    >Lyra sighs falling on her hindquarters
  243. 243.
    >”Hey Scootaloo, I won’t hurt anypony either, so ah……could you please stop holding me?”
  244. 244.
    >”But you’re so warm.”
  245. 245.
    >Scootaloo mutters as she continues to rub her head in Coco’s chest fluff
  246. 246.
    >Coco rubs her back a bit before gently removing her
  247. 247.
    >Scowling she turns her attention back to Bon-Bon
  248. 248.
    >”Lyra, are you okay?”
  249. 249.
    >She switches her attention to the bleeding mare
  250. 250.
    >”Yeah! Peachy, Ay O’kay! –gah-“
  251. 251.
    >Lyra continues to rub her horn
  252. 252.
    >”And what about you Fluttershy?”
  253. 253.
    >The sniffling mare said nothing as she continued shiver
  254. 254.
    >”See what you’ve done?”
  255. 255.
    >Coco groans as she limps towards Fluttershy
  256. 256.
    >Scootaloo tags along hugging her leg to support her and for warmth
  257. 257.
    >She shuffles around trying to create space between her and Bon-Bon
  258. 258.
    >All the while Bon-Bon looks at her with an ugly grimace
  259. 259.
    >”Shhhh-Shhhh, its alright-“
  260. 260.
    >Coco removes her ragged ascot and places it around Fluttershy’s neck
  261. 261.
    >”-no more tears now…”
  262. 262.
    >”Th-thank you..”
  263. 263.
    >Fluttershy murmurs, still wiping the frozen tear drops from her face
  264. 264.
    >Scootaloo rushes in to hug her
  265. 265.
    >”Mmmmm, so cozy!”
  266. 266.
    >Fluttershy blushes as Scootaloo borrows between her overgrown chest fluff and belly for maximum warmth
  267. 267.
    >”Scootaloo not so ruff you don’t hurt the baby any more than what Bon-Bon already did.”
  268. 268.
“It wasn’t even a hard push!”
  269. 269.
    >Bon-Bon interjects
  270. 270.
    >Glaring at the cream pony as she rubs Fluttershy’s belly
  271. 271.
    >”Pushing a pregnant mare down to her knees is what you call ‘not hard’?
  272. 272.
“Well that wasn’t the intended idea-“
  273. 273.
    >Bon-Bon slowly tries to approach them
  274. 274.
    >”Stay back Bon-Bon!”
  275. 275.
    >Coco yells
  276. 276.
    >Fluttershy hesitantly shakes her head back and forth
  277. 277.
    >Mouthing the word ‘no’ to Bon-Bon
  278. 278.
    >Bon-Bon complies
  279. 279.
“-sigh- Alright fine, we’ll rest for a bit but after this we’re walking non-stop till sunset.”
  280. 280.
    >”Is that all?”
  281. 281.
    >Coco gets on all fours and limps in front of Fluttershy
  282. 282.
    >”Where’s the apology?”
  283. 283.
    >The distance between the two mares continues to diminish
  284. 284.
    >”Can’t you see Fluttershy can’t even walk anymore-“
  285. 285.
    “You’re pushing your luck Pommel….”
  286. 286.
    >”-And you still want us to walk through icy wasteland.”
  287. 287.
    >The two are now only a foot away from each other
  288. 288.
    >”What’s wrong with you?”
  289. 289.
    >Coco says with actual sympathy in her voice
  290. 290.
    >Bon-Bon huffs
  291. 291.
“A lot of things, things you don’t even want to imagine. But that’s beside the point, if we don’t pass the main interstate highway by sundown we’re never going to lose them…”
  292. 292.
    >”Interstate highway?”
  293. 293.
    >Coco tilts her head curiously
  294. 294.
“Basically a massive road where humans drive those mini trains on to get-“
  295. 295.
    >”Wha?”
  296. 296.
“Never mind, lets just say I learned a lot about this world during my little trips in and out of those prisons. Now Coco if we don’t make it to that highway right away, when we do make it they’ll be sitting around waiting for us with darts and dogs. I don’t know about you, but I promised myself to never ever return to that place or any other place like it!”
  297. 297.
    >The tension between the two is stiff
  298. 298.
    >Fluttershy begins to hug Scootaloo like a stuff bear anxiously as she watches the unstable mares argue
  299. 299.
    >Lyra currently as her head buried in the snow, oblivious to everything as she tries to cool down her headache
  300. 300.
“I have a mission to complete and by Celestia’s name I plan on delivering on time!-“
  301. 301.
    >Bon-Bon lays a hoof down
  302. 302.
    >>-A
  303. 303.
“And I’m not going to let some yarn spinner stop me from my goal!”
  304. 304.
    >”YARN SPINNER!”
  305. 305.
    >Coco angrily yells as she lunges for Bon-Bon again
  306. 306.
    >This time though Bon-Bon was ready
  307. 307.
    >Using Coco’s momentum against her, she manages to catch her in a head lock
  308. 308.
    >She struggles trying to get free but Bon-Bon continues to tighten her grip
  309. 309.
    >Coco’s face starts to turn a light shade of purple as she’s too weak to break her grip
  310. 310.
    >She resorts to kicking Bon-Bon straight in gut
  311. 311.
    >Bon-Bon unfazed by her attacks, gets the poor mare on to her knees
  312. 312.
    >”STOOOOOOOOOOOOP!”
  313. 313.
    >The echoing howl pierces through the frigid tundra
  314. 314.
    >Birds of all sorts begin to fly in fear as snow from the top of the highest tree begins to from its sheer force
  315. 315.
    >”-Dramatic gasping for air sound-Wait what happened, do it again I wasn’t looking!”
  316. 316.
    >Lyra spastically looks around trying to comprehend what just happened
  317. 317.
    >Gathering whatever force she had left
  318. 318.
    >Fluttershy nudges Scootaloo away from her as she raises back on to her hooves
  319. 319.
    >”Fluttershy wait!”
  320. 320.
    >”Don’t worry im going to be fine.”
  321. 321.
    >She hushes the young filly
  322. 322.
    >“If they don’t behave, make them your slave….”
  323. 323.
    >Painful memories begin to flood her mind once more as she struggles to stand
  324. 324.
    >”You have to be assertive…..”
  325. 325.
    >She whispers to herself repeatedly as she turns towards the other two
  326. 326.

  327. 327.

  328. 328.

  329. 329.
    >”Mmmmmmm, warm….”
  330. 330.
    >Lyra winces in pain as Scootaloo uses her overgrown mane as a makeshift blanket
  331. 331.
    >”Easy Scoots, just because I’m letting you ride on my back doesn’t mean you get free rein back there.”
  332. 332.
    >”S-s-s-sorry Lyra, i-its just so c-c-cold.”
  333. 333.
    >”Im cold too Scootaloo, but pulling my mane isn’t making this any more enjoyable than it already is.”
  334. 334.
    >Shuddering, Scootaloo buries her face further down into Lyra’s mane
  335. 335.
    >Lyra sighs, letting the orange filly have her way
  336. 336.
    >The four mares mush forcefully through the freshly packed snow
  337. 337.
    >The storm before was a unexpected surprise for sure
  338. 338.
    >Bon-Bon ranted and raved when the first freshly baked flakes of frozen water befell on them
  339. 339.
    >Originally they all tried to ignore it, walking through the the rising wind just fine
  340. 340.
    >But when it began to fall in more collective clumps, they knew they were in for a treat
  341. 341.
    >Luckily they came across a narrow eroded brook where they took temporary shelter
  342. 342.
    >They managed to start a small fire using what little magic capability Lyra still had
  343. 343.
    >Using Coco’s collar and some of Bon-Bon’s hair to fuel it
  344. 344.
    >Still neither of them said a word to one another
  345. 345.
    >The past confrontation still left Coco, Fluttershy and Scootaloo wary of their ambiguous guide
  346. 346.
    >Only Lyra tried to lighten the mood, but still none of the mares were interested in her tall tales
  347. 347.
    >They seemed mostly interested in trying to get as much sleep as possible before having to trek back outside
  348. 348.
    >Morning wasn’t any better
  349. 349.
    >The snow was thick with an easy cool cream like look to its texture, as the whirling hornet’s nest of wind stung any living thing in its path
  350. 350.
    >Sighing Bon-Bon wakes the others up
  351. 351.
    >None of this was going according plan, it never goes according to plan
  352. 352.
    >Ignoring their cries
  353. 353.
    >Bon-Bon was the first out, making holes for Fluttershy to step in
  354. 354.
    >Complaining but seeing no other way around the snow, they trekked on
  355. 355.
    >”Brrrrrr!”
  356. 356.
    >Coco’s body twitched as she trembled with each wet step she took
  357. 357.
    >”B-Bon-Bon maybe w-we should stop and l-look for shelter.”
  358. 358.
    “Shelter?”
  359. 359.
    >Bon-Bon looks behind her as she helped Fluttershy move through the snow
  360. 360.
    >”Sh-Shelter sounds nice -huff-“
  361. 361.
    >The yellow mare mutters as she forces herself against snow
  362. 362.
    >She’s ignored
  363. 363.
“Shelter where? There’s nothing but trees and snow around us, where are we going to find a shelter?”
  364. 364.
    >”M-M-Maybe we could find a-another hollowed out t-t-tree....”
  365. 365.
    >Coco ties her ascot tighter around her neck
  366. 366.
“We got lucky before, we’re not going to get lucky now. Plus, if we make lots of progress today than tomorrow isn’t going to be so hard.”
  367. 367.
    >Bon-Bon sniffles as she returns her full attention to Fluttershy
  368. 368.
    >”A-are you sure we c-can’t ‘stop’ I-I mean, they wouldn’t look for us in a storm like this?”
  369. 369.
    >Coco continues in her attempts to persuade Bon-Bon
  370. 370.
“They would, with no doubt they’re looking for us right now. Even if you were right, moving now would still give us a massive advantage.”
  371. 371.
    >”Or leave us mostly frozen solid.”
  372. 372.
    >Bon-Bon rolls her eyes
  373. 373.
“Well, you could always leave. Just take any turn towards the right or left, maybe you’ll find a lovely log cabin with a nice human inside, humans that won’t enslave you or give you to the authorities!”
  374. 374.
    >Bon-Bon utters without turning around, putting the mare back in her place
  375. 375.
    >Coco mutters some things under her breath but decides to keep it to herself
  376. 376.
    >She instead starts to lean left towards Lyra and Scootaloo
  377. 377.
    >”Hey what’s her deal?”
  378. 378.
    >She asks the energetic mint colored mare
  379. 379.
    >”Huh?”
  380. 380.
    >”Oh, don’t play dumb with me. Y-You’re friend there, why is she s-sooo-”
  381. 381.
    >Lyra cuts her off
  382. 382.
    >”Pushy, bossy, a bit of a hard flank?”
  383. 383.
    >Coco nods
  384. 384.
    >”Well…….she’s always been the serious type…”
  385. 385.
    >Grunts and groans from Fluttershy are heard as Bon-Bon continually tries to keep the pregnant mare moving
  386. 386.
    >”...always complaining about things, never wants to do anything fun or has time for anything fun; we’re secret agents after all….”
  387. 387.
    >Lyra’s eyebrows mischievously go up and down, as she smiles mischievously
  388. 388.
    >”Agents to what exactly? T-The old kingdom is gone and whoever was still f-fighting for the old order is either dead or enslaved.”
  389. 389.
    >”To the resistance! Who else would we follow?”
  390. 390.
    >Coco now seemed genuinely interested
  391. 391.
    >”There’s……. a resistance?”
  392. 392.
    >”Pffffhhhh-”
  393. 393.
    >Lyra chuckles
  394. 394.
    >”Is there a resistance? HA! Of course there’s a resistance, if there wasn’t one we wouldn’t be risking our lives in saving anypony here.”
  395. 395.
    >”Do you even know where we’re going?”
  396. 396.
    >”To the resistance camp! Where else?”
  397. 397.
    >Lyra licks her lips as she looks to Bon-Bon then back to Coco
  398. 398.
    >”Could you elaborate a bit more, I mean I hate to ask stuff constantly but it just seems like we’ve been walking to nowhere at this point.”
  399. 399.
    >”Well, i'm not too sure myself, if you really want to know then you have to ask Bon-Bon herself.”
  400. 400.
    >Coco remises on the idea of talking to Bon-Bon again
  401. 401.
    >”I hope you’re right.”
  402. 402.
    >”There’s nothing the matter Coco, yeah it's cold but just think of all the nice food, bedding, and shelter we’ll get when we reach the camp!”
  403. 403.
    >”Food? Food where?”
  404. 404.
    >Scootaloo drowsily says, emerging from Lyra’s mane as she wipes the sand from her eyes
  405. 405.
    >”False alarm Scoots, we’re just talking spy stuff and all.”
  406. 406.
    >Lyra smiles at the tired filly
  407. 407.
    >”J-just go back to sleep Scootaloo, we’ll be t-there soon.”
  408. 408.
    >Coco lies through her teeth
  409. 409.
    >”Oh…...okay….”
  410. 410.
    >Scootaloo yawns as she returns to her nap
  411. 411.
    >”I still c-can’t believe she’s made it this far with us.”
  412. 412.
    >Coco lifts a hoof rubbing the filly’s neck
  413. 413.
    >Then continually down her back, lifting her hoof when she neared her cutiemark
  414. 414.
    >Or what was left of a cutiemark
  415. 415.
    >Coco looks back at her own mark
  416. 416.
    >Nothing more than a branded equal sign remained
  417. 417.
    >Like anypony else
  418. 418.
    >”Yeah, she’s a tough little one. I guess she gets it from all that time hovering around Rainbow Dash back in Ponyvile.”
  419. 419.
    >Lyra chips in
  420. 420.
    >”You know Rainbow Dash?”
  421. 421.
    >Coco asserts
  422. 422.
    >”Not really, we just live in the same town.”
  423. 423.
    >”Oh…”
  424. 424.
    >”Why? You know her?”
  425. 425.
    >Lyra asks
  426. 426.
    >”Well sorta, I’m good friends with her friend Rarity an-”
  427. 427.
    >She pauses
  428. 428.
    >”I was good friends with Rarity…”
  429. 429.
    >”Rarity! Pffffffff-I haven’t heard that primadonna's name in ages!”
  430. 430.
    >Coco frowns at the giggling mare
  431. 431.
    >Lyra quickly takes notice
  432. 432.
    >”Heh, sorry…”
  433. 433.
    >She smiles half heartedly as Coco looks the side
  434. 434.
    “Fluttershy! Come on!”
  435. 435.
    >Bon-Bon roars catching the attention of the two mares and waking up the filly
  436. 436.

  437. 437.
    >”S-s-so-o-o-o c-cold!”
  438. 438.
    “You have to keep moving!”
  439. 439.
    >”B-b-but-“
  440. 440.
    >Tears swell up in her eyes
  441. 441.
“Come on just a few more hooves!”
  442. 442.
    >Bon-Bon begins to forcefully push against the pregnant mare
  443. 443.
    >”NO! Please, I can’t walk anymore!”
  444. 444.
    >She collapses
  445. 445.
    >Sobbing her heart out in the cold snow
  446. 446.
    >”Bon-Bon you’re hurting her!”
  447. 447.
    >Coco runs and leaps in front of the mare before she could continue her pushing
  448. 448.
”Coco we can’t stop moving, every second we stop is another second they have before catching us!”
  449. 449.
    >Bon-Bon tries to maneuver around Coco with no luck
  450. 450.
    “Quit-Making-This-DIFFICULT!”
  451. 451.
    >Grunting she grabs Coco tackling her to the frozen ground
  452. 452.
    >Hooves go flying as the two begin to scuffle
  453. 453.
    >”Please stop! I didn’t mean for any of this!”
  454. 454.
    >Fluttershy wails as she sees the two ponies beating the living daylights out of one another
  455. 455.
    >”Hey! Hey! Hey!”
  456. 456.
    >Using what little of her magic she had left
  457. 457.
    >Lyra painfully separates the two
  458. 458.
    >”Scootaloo! I could use some help here!”
  459. 459.
    >Now fully awake, Scootaloo jumps off her back and springs into action
  460. 460.
    >She grabs on to Coco, allowing Lyra to focus most of her attention on Bon-bon
  461. 461.
    “Ugh-Erm! Lyra put me down!”
  462. 462.
    >Bon-Bon screams
  463. 463.
    >”Only if you –OW- promise not to –AH- hurt anypony!”
  464. 464.
    >Sparks start to fly out of Lyra’s horn as a signal stream of blood runs down from her nose
  465. 465.
“Fine! Just stop! You’re hurting yourself!”
  466. 466.
    >”Thank you.”
  467. 467.
    >The yellow aura surrounding Bon-Bon disappears as she drops to the ground
  468. 468.
    >Lyra sighs falling on her hindquarters
  469. 469.
    >”Hey Scootaloo, I won’t hurt anypony either, so ah……could you please stop holding me?”
  470. 470.
    >”But you’re so warm.”
  471. 471.
    >Scootaloo mutters as she continues to rub her head in Coco’s chest fluff
  472. 472.
    >Coco rubs her back a bit before gently removing her
  473. 473.
    >Scowling she starts to shoot daggers at Bon-Bon
  474. 474.
    >But noticing the bleeding mare next to her
  475. 475.
    >She switches her attention to Lyra
  476. 476.
    >”Lyra, are you okay?”
  477. 477.
    >”Yeah! Peachy, Ay O’kay! –gah-“
  478. 478.
    >Lyra continues to rub her horn
  479. 479.
    >”And what about you Fluttershy?”
  480. 480.
    >The sniffling mare said nothing as she continued shiver
  481. 481.
    >”See what you’ve done?”
  482. 482.
    >Coco groans as she limps towards Fluttershy
  483. 483.
    >Scootaloo tags along hugging her leg to support her and for warmth
  484. 484.
    >She shuffles around trying to create space between her and Bon-Bon
  485. 485.
    >All the while Bon-Bon looks at her with an ugly grimace
  486. 486.
    >”Shhhh-Shhhh, its alright-“
  487. 487.
    >Coco removes her ragged ascot and places it around Fluttershy’s neck
  488. 488.
    >”-no more tears now…”
  489. 489.
    >”Th-thank you..”
  490. 490.
    >Fluttershy murmurs, still wiping the frozen tear drops from her face
  491. 491.
    >Scootaloo rushes in to hug her
  492. 492.
    >”Mmmmm, so cozy!”
  493. 493.
    >Fluttershy blushes as Scootaloo borrows between her overgrown chest fluff and belly for maximum warmth
  494. 494.
    >”Scootaloo not so ruff, you don’t want to hurt the baby any more than what Bon-Bon already did.”
  495. 495.
“It wasn’t even a hard push!”
  496. 496.
    >Bon-Bon interjects
  497. 497.
    >Glaring at the cream pony as she rubs Fluttershy’s belly
  498. 498.
    >”Pushing a pregnant mare down to her knees is what you call ‘not hard’?
  499. 499.
“Well that wasn’t the intended idea-“
  500. 500.
    >Bon-Bon slowly tries to approach them
  501. 501.
    >”Stay back Bon-Bon!”
  502. 502.
    >Coco yells
  503. 503.
    >Fluttershy hesitantly shakes her head back and forth
  504. 504.
    >Mouthing the word ‘no’ to Bon-Bon
  505. 505.
    >Bon-Bon complies
  506. 506.
“-sigh- Alright fine, we’ll rest for a bit but after this we’re walking non-stop till sunset.”
  507. 507.
    >”Is that all?”
  508. 508.
    >Coco gets on all fours and limps in front of Fluttershy
  509. 509.
    >”Where’s the apology?”
  510. 510.
    >The distance between the two mares continues to diminish
  511. 511.
    >”Can’t you see Fluttershy can’t even walk anymore-“
  512. 512.
    “You’re pushing your luck Pommel….”
  513. 513.
    >”-And you still want us to walk through this icy wasteland.”
  514. 514.
    >The two are now only a foot away from each other
  515. 515.
    >”What’s wrong with you?”
  516. 516.
    >Coco says with actual sympathy in her voice for once
  517. 517.
    >Bon-Bon huffs
  518. 518.
“A lot of things, things you don’t even want to imagine. But that’s beside the point, if we don’t pass the main interstate highway by sundown we’re never going to lose them…”
  519. 519.
    >”Interstate highway?”
  520. 520.
    >Coco tilts her head curiously
  521. 521.
“Basically a massive road where humans drive those mini trains on to get-“
  522. 522.
    >”Wha?”
  523. 523.
“Never mind, let's just say I learned a lot about this world during my little trips in and out of those prisons. Now Coco if we don’t make it to that highway right away, when we do make it they’ll be sitting around waiting for us with darts and dogs. I don’t know about you, but I promised myself to never ever return to that place or any other place like it!”
  524. 524.
    >The tension between the two is stiff
  525. 525.
    >Fluttershy begins to hug Scootaloo like a stuffed bear anxiously as she watches the unstable mares argue
  526. 526.
    >Lyra currently as her head buried in the snow, oblivious to everything as she tries to cool down her headache
  527. 527.
“I have a mission to complete and by Celestia’s name I plan to on deliver on time!-“
  528. 528.
    >Bon-Bon lays a hoof down
  529. 529.
“And I’m not going to let some two-bit-yarn-spinner stop me from my goal!”
  530. 530.
    >”YARN SPINNER!”
  531. 531.
    >Coco angrily yells as she lunges for Bon-Bon again
  532. 532.
    >This time though Bon-Bon was ready
  533. 533.
    >Using Coco’s momentum against her, she manages to catch her in a headlock
  534. 534.
    >She struggles trying to get free but Bon-Bon continues to tighten her grip
  535. 535.
    >Coco’s face starts to turn a light shade of purple as she’s too weak to break her grip
  536. 536.
    >Resorting to kicking the mare in the gut
  537. 537.
    >Bon-Bon unfazed by her attacks, gets the poor mare on to her knees
  538. 538.
    >”STOOOOOOOOOOOOP!”
  539. 539.
    >The echoing howl pierces through the frigid tundra
  540. 540.
    >Birds of all sorts begin to fly in fear as snow from the top of the highest tree begins to fall due to the sheer force
  541. 541.
    >”-Dramatic gasping for air sound- Wait what happened, do it again I wasn’t looking!”
  542. 542.
    >Lyra spastically looks around trying to comprehend what just happened
  543. 543.
    >Gathering whatever force she had left
  544. 544.
    >Fluttershy nudges Scootaloo away from her as she raises back on to her hooves
  545. 545.
    >”Fluttershy wait!”
  546. 546.
    >”Don’t worry im going to be fine.”
  547. 547.
    >She hushes the young filly
  548. 548.
    >“If they don’t behave, make them your slave….”
  549. 549.
    >Painful memories begin to flood her mind once more as she struggles to stand
  550. 550.
    >”You have to be assertive…..”
  551. 551.
    >She whispers to herself repeatedly as she turns towards the other two
  552. 552.
  553. 553.
    >”I’ve honestly had it up to here with you two!”
  554. 554.
    >Putting her foot down, she turns to face them
  555. 555.
    >Bon-Bon releases the mare shocked by Fluttershy’s unexpected response
  556. 556.
    >Coco crawls away, gasping for air
  557. 557.
    >”It's been nothing but fighting and arguing since we got out! I came to accept the coldness, I got over the loneliness of missing my friends, I even ignored my poor tummy and the little one in there crying food! But fighting is the last straw!”
  558. 558.
    >She points her hoof at Bon-Bon
  559. 559.
    >”I don’t care who you say you are and I don’t care who you work for, starting fights with Coco is not going to get us anywhere!”
  560. 560.
    >Lyra and Scootaloo are left silently watching Fluttershy as she continues to bash the mare in front of her
  561. 561.
    >Bon-Bon says nothing, scowling at the mare
  562. 562.
    >”-sigh- Bon-Bon I understand you’re just trying to help but please could you just stop and see you’re asking for the impossible here. I can’t go any longer…”
  563. 563.
    >Tears start to form in her eyes as she struggles to stand
  564. 564.
    >”....Bon-Bon i’m tired, my ankles are like jelly I-I can’t keep on going like this -sniff-”
  565. 565.
    >If on cue she falls to her knees
  566. 566.
    >”Just stop -sniff- p-please stop…….”
  567. 567.
    >Bon-Bon just stands there looking at her
  568. 568.
    >Not so much scowling but her face doesn’t necessarily reads contempt either
  569. 569.
    >She lifts her head to see the others looking at her
  570. 570.
    >Speechless by Fluttershy’s sudden action and Bon-Bon’s general apathy
  571. 571.
    >They just stare at her not knowing what to do
  572. 572.
    >The sun seemed to be peaking, rays of its light poking through what remained of the cloudy hellstorm from the blizzard before
  573. 573.
    >It must be noon
  574. 574.
    >Bon-Bon uncomfortably stretches her neck as the echoing teardrops falling onto the cold hard snow begins to bother her
  575. 575.
    >She swallows hard trying to form words to say
  576. 576.
    “Sorry….”
  577. 577.
    >”Huh?”
  578. 578.
    >Fluttershy lifts her head up, rubbing her red eyes of tears
  579. 579.
    “I’m sorry! I was a jerk, I was being unreasonably cruel…”
  580. 580.
    “Unreasonably!?!”
  581. 581.
    >Coco barks
  582. 582.
    “Fine, I was a hardass on everypony….”
  583. 583.
    >Bon-Bon looks back down to Fluttershy
  584. 584.
    >She stares back with her big blue beaming eyes, with the glare of the sun shining against her dying tears
  585. 585.
    >Amplifying her innocence as it radiates to anything that sees it
  586. 586.
    >Sighing Bon-Bon carefully but gently helps the poor mare up
  587. 587.
    >Seeing this Coco, immediately springs back up readying herself to attack
  588. 588.
    >A green hoof stops her before she could get far
  589. 589.
    >”Lyra what are you doing?”
  590. 590.
    >”I think she gets it.”
  591. 591.
    >She points over back to Bon-Bon as she leads Fluttershy towards a tree
  592. 592.
“It's not the best resting spot, but it’ll do for now.”
  593. 593.
    >Laying down first she instructs Fluttershy to rest on her
  594. 594.
    >“Um….excuse me?”
  595. 595.
“You heard what I said, just do it.”
  596. 596.
    >Not wanting to anger the earth pony any more, she lays down right on top of her
  597. 597.
    >A couple grunts and groans seep from Bon-Bon as the pregnant mare makes herself comfortable
  598. 598.
    >”I don’t think she got anything…”
  599. 599.
    >Coco mutters to Lyra as the mint pony covers Scootaloo’s eyes
  600. 600.
“Are you girls just going to stand there or are you going to help us stay warm?”
  601. 601.
    >”Warm!”
  602. 602.
    >Scootaloo hearing the magic word, sprints towards the mares
  603. 603.
    >Bon-Bon and Fluttershy’s eyes go wide as they try to tell the filly to slow down
  604. 604.
    >Giving no prior thought she leaps at a moment's notice
  605. 605.
    >Like a bullet, she sandwiches herself right between the two
  606. 606.
    >Knocking the air out of Fluttershy and adding more weight to the already crushed Bon-Bon
  607. 607.
    “For Celestia’s sake kid!”
  608. 608.
    >”Hey, you’re the one that offered!”
  609. 609.
    >Scootaloo nips back as she made herself cozy in the pile
  610. 610.
    >Coco looks to Lyra waiting for her response
  611. 611.
    >Lyra looks to Coco waiting for hers
  612. 612.
    >..........
  613. 613.
    >”Eh…”
  614. 614.
    >Shrugging, the mint mare trots gleefully towards the others
  615. 615.
    >Finding a nice place in the pile
  616. 616.
    >”You joining or what?”
  617. 617.
    >Lyra waves at Coco
  618. 618.
    >Shivering she contemplates the decision
  619. 619.
    >The last thing she wanted to do was get any where near that crazy mare Bon-Bon
  620. 620.
    >But it did look pretty warm from where she was standing
  621. 621.
    >And Bon-Bon already had three ponies buried right on top of her
  622. 622.
    >Wasting no time Coco joins the group, finding a spot right on top of Fluttershy
  623. 623.
    >With Bon-Bon directly under her
  624. 624.
“Pommel, once this is over! OW-”
  625. 625.
    >Scootaloo kicks the mare
  626. 626.
    >”Just shut up, you have the best spot in the whole pile what are you complaining about?”
  627. 627.
    >”Yeah Bon-Bon listen to the filly, you’re covered on all four sides now.”
  628. 628.
    >Lyra quips at the growling mare
  629. 629.
    >The other girls giggle at her predicament
  630. 630.
    >Eventually either through tiredness or stress, one by one they all doze off
  631. 631.
    ___________________________
  632. 632.
    >Flakes of gray ash wisp around as they follow you
  633. 633.
    >Hobbling down into the bunker you begin to worry everypony else has already left
  634. 634.
    >They wouldn’t leave you , you’ve been with these ponies for years
  635. 635.
    >Through the good and the bad you were practically family
  636. 636.
    >But……
  637. 637.
    >Now on the final step, you look on how everything was in shambles
  638. 638.
    >The magically burnt smell of paper still lingered
  639. 639.
    >Telegraphs were smashes, calculating machines were destroyed and anything that wasn’t completely solid was forcefully shoved down a hoof cranked shredder
  640. 640.
    >They did leave you
  641. 641.
    >Limping around you drop to your flank just trying to comprehend what was happening
  642. 642.
    >A set of bombs begin to drop over your position
  643. 643.
    >The room shakes profusely but you give no mind to it as you continue to stare off into space
  644. 644.
    “They left me…….”
  645. 645.
    >Another set of bombs drop over head
  646. 646.
    “Ow-”
  647. 647.
    >A ceiling tile falls loose and breaks over your head knocking you out of your stupor
  648. 648.
    >Wiping the remains off your mane, you spot a small colored coated candy rolling around
  649. 649.
    >Getting back up, you walk towards the sweet
  650. 650.
    >The wrapper had your mane color
  651. 651.
    >Puzzled, you quickly come to realize what it meant
  652. 652.
    “No…..no-no-no-no-no!”
  653. 653.
    >You kick the treat away
  654. 654.
    >Not like this, you can’t go out just like that
  655. 655.
“This can’t be right, this has to be joke!”
  656. 656.
    >The bunker shakes again as the lights begin to come in and out
  657. 657.
    >You huddle against a corner not knowing what to do
  658. 658.
    >Lost, abandoned, and now they want you to kill yourself
  659. 659.
    >How could they do this
  660. 660.
    >Stuck in a war where half the population was already processed, they consider now is a good time to waste agents
  661. 661.
    >This has to be a dream, none of this could be real
  662. 662.
    >It’s probably another one of Luna’s simulations and you’re just doing really bad
  663. 663.
    >Yeah, that’s right
  664. 664.
    >You’re just taking a test, no need to panic
  665. 665.
    >There’s probably another clue somewhere that’ll lead you to a hidden passageway
  666. 666.
    >You just gotta find that clue though
  667. 667.
    >Quivering, you hastily rummage around the bunker
  668. 668.
    >Faster and faster you throw trash all over the place trying to find any form of a clue
  669. 669.
    >Bombs continue to fall, just adding more to your paranoia
  670. 670.
    >Eventually you do find something
  671. 671.
    >Using all your strength
  672. 672.
    >You push the busted calculating machine over to a corner as you discover a small filly size door
  673. 673.
    “YES! Yes-Yes-Yes-Yes-Yes-Yes-Yes!”
  674. 674.
    >You hop around like Lyra would after having one of her insane theories published in the newspaper
  675. 675.
    >The same insane theories that led to this conflict in the same place
  676. 676.
    >Sometimes you just want slap that pony
  677. 677.
    >Another bomb strikes, bringing you back to reality
  678. 678.
    >Without hesitation you fall on your back
  679. 679.
    >Using all your strength from your hind legs you begin to repeatedly bash on the door
  680. 680.
    >You grunt and groan with each kick you give off
  681. 681.
    >The lights continue to flicker on and off as the bombs begin to drop less frequently
  682. 682.
    >You paid no attention to it, the emerging cracks on the hardwood door were the only thing filling your mind at the moment
  683. 683.
    >With one last bash, you break through only to yelp in pain as you hit something very sharp
  684. 684.
    “Sweet Celestia!”
  685. 685.
    >You recline, examining the extent of the damage
  686. 686.
    >Sure enough your hoof was bleeding
  687. 687.
    >A nice red gash was there staring right back at you
  688. 688.
    >Biting your lip, you rip a piece of your uniform off and wrap it around the wound
  689. 689.
    >It was still bleeding but it was better than nothing
  690. 690.
    >You look back at the broken door
  691. 691.
    >Crawling, you peer inside
  692. 692.
    “.........”
  693. 693.
    >A row of spikes laid horizontally attached to what seemed to be a magically made crystal formation laid inside
  694. 694.
    >One spike particularly was dripping warm blood
  695. 695.
    *BAM*
  696. 696.
    >Turning towards the front, a loud banging noise could be heard from the door
  697. 697.
    >They’ve found you
  698. 698.
    *BAM*
  699. 699.
    >Scrambling up, you made the mistake of putting weight on your injured hoof
  700. 700.
    “Horse Apples!
  701. 701.
    >You fall on your side reiling in pain
  702. 702.
    *BAM*
  703. 703.
    >That was the final bang as a more sizzling sound took over
  704. 704.
    >You frantically look around the room hoping to find anything that’ll help you
  705. 705.
    >They knew the battle was loss here, they couldn’t waste time in saving everypony or allow anything to fall in the enemy's disgusting hands
  706. 706.
    >And that’s why they specifically gave you that bonbon
  707. 707.
    >A sweet release, a taste of the days gone before death kicks in killing you
  708. 708.
    >You stare at the condiment
  709. 709.
    >Either go down fighting and get captured or kill yourself
  710. 710.
    >One lets you live but you’ll probably be tortured and enslaved, while the other kills you
  711. 711.
    >You’re liking the odds here
  712. 712.
    >Maybe if your hoof wasn’t bleeding you would’ve had a better chance
  713. 713.
    >Maybe……..
  714. 714.
    >Who knows……
  715. 715.
    >I’m going to die here aren’t I…..
  716. 716.
    >Crawling over to the sweet
  717. 717.
    >You unwrap its cover and stare at the chocolate treat in front of you
  718. 718.
“I-It will be easy…...just put it in your mouth, chew for a bit and swallow…..w-what’s so hard about it?”
  719. 719.
    >You start to sweat profusely, as your hoof rejects every command you’re giving it
  720. 720.
“C-come on Sweetie, down the hatch. I-it’ll be over soon……”
  721. 721.
    >Tears start to form, as all outside noises stop
  722. 722.
    *BOOM*
  723. 723.
    >As you barely manage to lick the bonbon, a large explosion is heard as the bunker door comes tumbling down the stairs
  724. 724.
    >With it, two small cylindrical canisters drop next to it
  725. 725.
    >If it weren’t for the tears, your eyes would be completely dry due to the bright shining light blinding your vision
  726. 726.
    “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!”
  727. 727.
    >You scream in pain, losing the bonbon from your hoof
  728. 728.
    >Thrashing all over the floor, wanting the pain to go away
  729. 729.
    >You could hear footsteps coming near
  730. 730.
    >Ignoring your hoof, you try to fight them
  731. 731.
    >Kicking and swinging all over the place trying to find a solid object
  732. 732.
    >But it was to no avail
  733. 733.
    >A quick jab to the gut and they’re carrying you outside
  734. 734.
    >You still couldn’t see anything
  735. 735.
    >And all you could really hear was ringing and ponies screaming bloody marry
  736. 736.
    >They throw you on the ground and splash a bucket of water at your face
  737. 737.
    >It wasn’t even clean
  738. 738.
    >You cough and gag, using the liquid to relieve your eyes
  739. 739.
    >Opening them, you could see a fairly pony shaped figure walking towards you
  740. 740.
    >You try to reach out for her, barely whimpering help
  741. 741.
    >But as your hearing cleared, you could just hear laughing from her
  742. 742.
    >You lay speechless as her horn began to glow
  743. 743.
    >A large orb of magic slowly formed, as your vision started to distinguish her facial features
  744. 744.
    >She was grinning
  745. 745.
    >That was all you could grasp before the orb came crashing down and………
  746. 746.

    “AHHHHHHHHHHHH-mgh!”
  748. 748.
    >”Shhhhhhhhh…”
  749. 749.
    >Scootaloo removes her hoof from Bon-Bon’s face
  750. 750.
    >Panting, she shakes a light blanket of snow off her head as she anxiously checks her surroundings
  751. 751.
    >Nothing still
  752. 752.
    >The rest all shifted around Fluttershy more, somehow still being able to sleep under these temperatures
  753. 753.
    >”You alright? You were having one heck of a nightmare there.”
  754. 754.
    >Scootaloo mutters as she sits right next to you
  755. 755.
    “Y-yeah, still kinda cold.”
  756. 756.
    >”You can say that again, it's a good thing they didn’t take our fur or else we’ve would’ve been frozen popsicles by now.”
  757. 757.
    >The filly nudges the mare trying to make her talk as her left eye twitches
  758. 758.
    “Yeah, i-it is good thing….”
  759. 759.
    >Bon-Bon looks up to the sky
  760. 760.
    >Dark space gray clouds covered most of the horizon
  761. 761.
    >They showed no sign of letting up
  762. 762.
    >Everything does look noticeably darker than before
  763. 763.
“Scootaloo, how long were we out?”
  764. 764.
    >Bon-Bon turns back to ask
  765. 765.
    >The filly shrugs
  766. 766.
    >”Beats me, if you didn’t kick me in your sleep then I guess we’d probably still be snoozing.”
  767. 767.
“Oh! Sorry, I didn’t mean to.”
  768. 768.
    >”Don’t sweat it, I used to do it all the time when me and Rainbow Dash went campin-”
  769. 769.
    >Scootaloo stood there silent for a moment
  770. 770.
    >”I-I mean, don’t sweat it it was just an ancient.”
  771. 771.
    >She clears her throat, turning her gaze towards something else
  772. 772.
    >Bon-Bon does the same
  773. 773.
    >A period passes both Scootaloo starts up again
  774. 774.
    >”Soooooooooooooo……what was that ‘highway’ thing you were talking about?”
  775. 775.
    “Huh?”
  776. 776.
    >The mare breaks away from her pondering and turns towards the filly
  777. 777.
    >”You know, before you and Coco started to fight you said we needed to pass a thing called a ‘highway’.”
  778. 778.
    >Bon-Bon winces over the reminder
  779. 779.
“Oh, uh…..Yeah, an interstate highway….. i-its like this super road stretching for miles on end, made exclusively for the human’s mini trains.”
  780. 780.
    >Scootaloo bobs her head
  781. 781.
    >”Why would a human need a mini train? Couldn’t they just take a normal train to wherever they want?”
  782. 782.
    >Bon-Bon mulled it over
  783. 783.
“Don’t quote me on this, but from what i've seen there’s just so many of them that it would be nearly impossible to accommodate enough normal trains for their population. So they just make one super road and allow a bunch of mini trains to ride along it.”
  784. 784.
    >.....................
  785. 785.
    >”Oooooooh. That makes sense.”
  786. 786.
“Like I said don’t quote me on it, I really never any real formal interactions with humans. Half the time I usually just try to escape or fight them off, most of the stuff I know comes from their TV’s and other ponies that are enslaved……...Oh and Lyra”
  787. 787.
    >”Lyra?”
  788. 788.
    “It’s a long story, just don’t ask.”
  789. 789.
    >”Oh.”
  790. 790.
    >Scootaloo looks away again after your sharp remark
  791. 791.
    >But wasn’t long before she started back up again
  792. 792.
    >”What’s beyond the highway?”
  793. 793.
    >A cold shiver went down Bon-Bon’s spine causing her to twitch
  794. 794.
    “Freedom……”
  795. 795.
    >She says bluntly
  796. 796.
    >”What about the resistance?”
  797. 797.
    >The filly asks as Bon-Bon looks back up to the sky
  798. 798.
    “They’ll be there too-”
  799. 799.
    >She turns back to the filly scowling at her
  800. 800.
    “-who told you about them?”
  801. 801.
    >”I-I overheard Lyra and Coco talking about it an-and…”
  802. 802.
“...I-I just wanted-I mean I was curious about them, that’s all.”
  803. 803.
    >Scootaloo shuffles away from the mare, uncomfortable from her glare
  804. 804.
    >Seeing the distressed filly, Bon-Bon’s face softens as she looks back to the sky
  805. 805.
“-sigh- Don’t worry about it Scootaloo, when we get there we’ll have all the time in this world to ask them anything, that is if we ever make it there in the first place.”
  806. 806.
    >”You don’t think we’ll make it?”
  807. 807.
“I don’t know what to think anymore. At the rate we’re going they’ll probably be gone, moved on to a new location far from this wintery wasteland, caring little about the stragglers who get left behind.”
  808. 808.
    >Bon-Bon responds sneeringly
  809. 809.
“If we do make it, the four of you will be safe and sound. A roof over your head, beds with fluffy pillows, a nice fire keeping things warm, food….”
  810. 810.
    >Scootaloo’s stomach growls at the sound of the word
  811. 811.
    >She chuckles in embarrassment
  812. 812.
“...and for me an exchange of hooves, a pat on the back and a one way ticket back to enemy territory.”
  813. 813.
    >”Wait they’re just gonna send you right back out there!?!”
  814. 814.
“Yeah, it's a bummer but this isn’t my first rodeo. I’ve been doing stuff for the S.M.I.L.E agency for years now, it doesn’t bother me at all anymore.”
  815. 815.
    >Bon-Bon bites her lip saying that
  816. 816.
    >”So what type of bad guys did you fight-”
  817. 817.
    >Scootaloo springs back up
  818. 818.
    >”-I mean before the whole war of course.”
  819. 819.
    >She eagerly smiles waiting for a response
  820. 820.
“............You know that bugbear that attacked Ponyville a couple years ago?”
  821. 821.
    >”Yeah.”
  822. 822.
    “He was there for me.”
  823. 823.
    >”Wait? Really!”
  824. 824.
    “MmmmMmmm.”
  825. 825.
    >Bon-Bon shakes her head, remembering all her past conflicts with the bugbear
  826. 826.
    >”I thought it was just another random monster that came out from the Everfree.”
  827. 827.
“Nope, it was there for me.”
  828. 828.
    >”Then how come I didn’t see you or Lyra fight the monster?”
  829. 829.
    >Bon-Bon snorts
  830. 830.
“The princess and her friends already had the situation covered, I just laid low until the job was done, plus at the time S.M.I.L.E was technically disbanded so I’d be working for free.”
  831. 831.
    >”That seems kinda lazy, that bugbear really did a lot of damage to the town but not as much damage as Rainbow Da-I-I mean as Twilight and her friends did to it.”
  832. 832.
    >Impatiently her back leg starts to tap against the floor as she clears her throat again
  833. 833.
    >Bon-Bon raises an eyebrow but decides against pressing on Scootaloo about any past problems
  834. 834.
    >She did that once to a mare back a year ago, when she was locked up in one of those Auctioneer houses
  835. 835.
    >It didn’t fair well for the pony in general, she became a sobbing mess refusing to quiet down even after being beaten several times before for the same reason
  836. 836.
    >Whatever Bon-Bon struck, must’ve been the last cord as she just went ballistic in her wails
  837. 837.
    >Eventually the humans had enough of her and she disappeared the next morning
  838. 838.
    >No pony could sleep for an entire week, as the sound of the gun still rang in their ears
  839. 839.
    >”So!”
  840. 840.
    >Scootaloo restarts the conversation
  841. 841.
    >”What exactly did you do to the bugbear to make it come looking for you?”
  842. 842.
    >Bon-Bon was eagerly waiting for her to ask that
  843. 843.
    “Now, where do I begin……”
  844. 844.
    >She rubs the end of her chin as she digs deep into her past adventures
  845. 845.
    >Jaw dropping tales about great skirmishes between her and the bugbear
  846. 846.
    >Two bitter rivals fighting with no end in site
  847. 847.
    >Of course some of it was stretched to add more substance to the action
  848. 848.
    >Not to the extent how Lyra would spin it
  849. 849.
    >That mare would take any story given to her and make it seem like the next best thing since slice bread
  850. 850.
    >The filly didn’t seem to care though, the stories alone brought back wishful memories of the past, lost to the never ending pain of their current situation
  851. 851.
    >And the snow, it was still really cold and snowy
  852. 852.
    >The laughter between the two, woke up still dozing Coco
  853. 853.
    >Who after just looking at the laughing ponies went back to sleep on top of the pregnant Fluttershy thinking she was still dreaming
  854. 854.
    >As Bon-Bon was just about to begin another set of stories, she paused dramatically as if something terrible happened
  855. 855.
    >”Ah? Bon-Bon you okay-MMMMM!”
  856. 856.
    >She grabs the filly, covering her mouth with her hoof and presses her body against the tree
  857. 857.
    >Scootaloo tries to struggle but her grip was to strong
  858. 858.
    “Shhhhhhhhh!”
  859. 859.
    >Eventually the filly does manage to get her mouth free
  860. 860.
    >”What was that f-”
  861. 861.
    >She stops mid-sentence as she begins to hear the same eerie sound that caused Bon-Bon to jump before
  862. 862.
    *whop-whop-whop-whop-whop-whop-whop….*
  863. 863.
    >Birds and any other creature that lives for the snow scurry away as the noise begins to intensify looming over everything that hears it
  864. 864.
“GET UP! GET UP GET UP!”
  865. 865.
    >”GET UP! GET UP GET UP!”
  866. 866.
    >”Geez louise, can a pony get any sleep around here!”
  867. 867.
    >Lyra complains as she stretches her hooves
  868. 868.
    >”W-What’s happening!”
  869. 869.
    >”Bon-Bon this better be good.”
  870. 870.
    >Coco bitterly says as she tries to calm down a panicked Fluttershy
  871. 871.
“No time to explain cover yourselves with snow, before-”
  872. 872.
    >The noise becomes virtually unavoidable
  873. 873.
    >In the sky, a black helicopter speeds past over their heads with another two joining it as they scatter throughout the grey sky
  874. 874.
    “We have to run!”
