>You are Pinkie Pie
-
>How long have you been in this place now?
-
>You don't really know
-
>You guess it doesn't really matter anymore
-
>You lost any hope of returning to Equestria a long time ago
-
>Or of seeing any of your friends ever again
-
>You can't be sure how many of them are here with you
-
>But you know they all shared the same fate
-
>These "humans," they're called... decided for whatever reason you don't deserve the same dignity and respect as them
-
>Never mind the fact that you're just as smart
-
>You and all of your kind became their servants, their slaves
-
>You've had it fairly easy, the few masters you've had so far have been relatively nice to you
-
>Just asked you to keep them company and help around the house
-
>And most of them couldn't get enough of your baking!
-
>Most of the time if you got into "trouble" you could worm your way out of it with a sweet peace offering to your master, be it cupcake or cookie, pastry or pie
-
>But you've heard tales of others that weren't so lucky
-
>You shudder in your crate remembering some of the things you've been told by other ponies you've encountered
-
>You also feel the truck you're riding in start to slow down
-
>You must be approaching your destination
-
>Your new home
-
>Your previous owners had been really great
-
>An elderly couple; you were there mostly to provide them companionship and to help out with the house chores
-
>But they both passed away
-
>Within two weeks of each other
-
>It broke your heart, you had actually grown really fond of them
-
>In some ways they reminded you of Granny Pie
-
>They never had a harsh word or an unkind gesture for you
-
>You were treated nearly as well as their grandchildren
-
>Unfortunately that also earned you the ire of those same grandchildren
-
>None of them wanted you around after their grandparents were gone
-
>You were sort of thankful for that, they tended to be fairly mean to you every chance they got
-
>Oh well
-
>You haven't been told a single thing about the people that bought you
-
>You start to feel a little sick feeling in the pit of your stomach, hoping you were lucky enough to have landed another kind master and/or mistress, like your last ones
-
>The back of the truck opens up and your crate is rolled out on a dolly
-
"Are we finally here? My new home?"
-
>The delivery driver ignores you with an annoyed grunt
-
>You slump back in the crate
-
"Gosh, I know I'm just a pony but you don't have to be such a rude-y patootie..." you pout
-
>Through the bars you can see a very large house and expansive yard surrounded by hedges and fencing
-
>The house looks as big as a palace
-
>Jackpot! Your new owners are loaded!
-
>You can't wait to see the kitchen
-
>Oh the parties you're going to throw for them!
-
>Well... assuming they're nice that is...
-
>There's that little sicky feeling in your tummy again
-
>You gulp as the delivery man rings the doorbell
-
>No answer, he rings it a couple more times before resorting to knocking
-
>"I'm coming I'm COMING, Jesus hold your horses!"
-
>You can't help but giggle
-
>He IS holding his horses, mister!
-
>Well, at least he's holding YOUR horse...
-
>You do your best to perk up and sit as close to the front of the crate as you can when the door opens, plastering the biggest smile on your face that you can
-
>Gotta make a good first impression
-
"Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie! I'm your new pony!" you say with a little wag of your tail and flick of your ear
-
>The delivery man rolls his eyes
-
>"You Anonymous Sr.?"
-
>"That's me..."
-
>"Sign here."
-
>The man signs the paper and you're soon wheeled inside
-
"Whooaaa" you say in amazement, "this place is even bigger than it looks from the outside!"
-
>The crate is dropped somewhat haphazardly as the delivery man makes a hasty retreat
-
>"Have a wonderful day, sir..." he says with a clear edge of sarcasm, "fucking rich cunts and their pets, fuck all of em, swear one of these days I'm gonna..." he mumbles as he disappears and you hear him drive off angrily
-
>To your dismay you're left alone for a while
-
>You don't see the man that was at the door, but after about a half hour you hear two voices in another room, a man and a woman
-
>"You didn't tell me it was gonna be PINK, you realize Anon is our SON not our DAUGHTER, right? Couldn't you have picked out something a little more manly for him?"
-
>"Oh relax, honey, Anon won't care what color the pony is. Where is she, anyway? I bet she's just the cutest little thing, I can't wait to see the look on our little man's face when he sees--"
-
>You hear the voices gradually becoming closer and see the man has been joined by a woman
-
>They both look fairly young, you idly wonder how they acquired such wealth at their age
-
>You shrug it off
-
>Doesn't matter, fate seems has smiled upon you again, who are you to ask why?
-
>The woman practically squeals when she catches sight of you
-
>"Oh my GOD you're adorable!"
-
>She rushes over to you, with a bit of difficulty evident in her gait, nearly tripping - why do human mares wear those stupid pointy shoes anyway?
-
>She unlatches the door on the crate and hooks a leash to your collar, coaxing you out, though she's not strong enough to lift you up
-
>she kneels in front of you and starts hugging and petting you
-
>You already like it here
-
"Hi, mistress! My name is Pinkie Pie! It's so wonderful to meet you!"
-
>"Hah, 'Pinkie Pie!' Isn't that the sweetest name you've ever heard, dear?" she says as she looks back over her shoulder at her husband who simply shrugs
-
>"Anon's probably gonna want to pick out a new name for her."
-
"Who's Anon?" you ask, looking from the man back to the woman and cocking your head to the side
-
>She squeezes your cheeks and rubs your nose with hers, causing you to giggle
-
>"You look just like a puppy when you do that! Anon is our son - and your new master, Pinkie Pie. Oh you two are gonna be best friends, I just know it!"
-
>You stand up on all fours
-
"When do I get to meet him?"
-
>"His bus should be dropping him off from school any moment now. OH! Come with me, Pinkie!" she says as she stands up and tugs on your leash gently
-
>Your new master is a child?
-
>You feel a bit nervous as you trot along behind her
-
>Human kids, as you've come to find out, tend to be either really super fun or nasty little brats, in your experience there's not many that fall somewhere in between
-
"Where are we going, ma'am?" you ask curiously
-
>"Oh! Pinkie Pie, sweetie, you're a surprise! Anon doesn't know you're here for him," she says as she leads you through the doorway of what appears to be her son's bedroom
-
"I love surprises!"
-
>she starts to look around with giddy excitement when she hears the school bus pull up outside
-
>"Quick, we gotta find somewhere for you to hide!"
-
"Hmm, I don't see anywhere big enough for me to fit, miss," you reply as you look around the room with her
-
>"Oh, I know!"
-
>she pats the bed and motions for you to get in it
-
>"Go on Pinkie, get up in Anon's bed, I'll throw the blankets over you, hurry, hurry!"
-
>She's practically dancing in place as she holds the covers out of the way for you and you climb into the bed as you hear footsteps coming up the stairs
-
>she takes off the leash and does her best to hide you from sight, surrounding you with pillows to try to make the surface of the bed under the blankets look even
-
>"Try to hold perfectly still, Pinkie," she whispers
-
>You feel your own heart start to race with excitement as the footsteps draw closer and closer
-
>"Did you have a good day at school, sweetie?"
-
>"MOOOOoooooOOOM why are you in my rooooooom?" you hear a young boy's voice complain
-
>"Oh, I was just doing some tidying up, honey," she replies as she kisses him and ruffles his hair
-
>Anon walks over and sits at his desk with a sigh
-
>"Sure doesn't look like it. And why are YOU cleaning, anyway?"
-
>You detect a wave of concern flash over his voice suddenly
-
>"The maid's not sick again, is she?"
-
>"Wha? OH! Oh no, dear, she's on vacation this week, remember?"
-
>He sighs with relief
-
>Showing concern for others, that's a good sign
-
>You hope so, at least
-
>"Oh right, I remember now..."
-
>he reaches into his bookbag and starts to pull out several books
-
>"So, um... I kinda got a lot of homework to do, mom... was there something else?"
-
>she glances over at the bed, the poorly-disguised lump formed by your body still having escaped the youngster's notice
-
>"Anon, you seem a little cranky, why don't you take a nap before you start on your homework?"
-
>"Aww, come on. I really need to get this done so I can go to the library before they close, I only have two more weeks to come up with a science fair project and-....wait, what's that on my bed?"
-
>He stands up, his curiosity piqued
-
>His mom stands in the way, feigning ignorance
-
>"Oh, just boring old pillows and blankets, but you said you don't want a nap soooo..." she says teasingly, holding him back from the bed
-
>A mile-wide grin creeps across his face as he struggles to get by his mom
-
>"You're hiding something for me, a present! What is it, mom? Come on," he giggles, "let me see what it is!"
-
>"Well, sweetie, you know how you're always asking your father and I for a dog?"
-
>"YOU GOT ME A PUPPY!?" he bursts out excitedly as he finally pushes past his mother and flings the blankets off of you
-
>the smile on his face evaporates, and his expression becomes unreadable
-
"H...Hi there, Anon! I'm Pinkie Pie, your new pony!"
-
>His bottom lip starts to quiver as he slowly sits down on the bed next to you
-
>Oh no, this can't be good
-
"I might not be a puppy, but I promise we can be good friends, please don't be sad, Master!"
-
>He tilts his head as he looks at you
-
>"Master?"
-
"Yep! You're my new master! I'm sooooo happy to meet you, I can't wait for all the fun we're gonna have together!" you offer him with a timid smile.
-
>you wriggle yourself up under his arm and lean against him as you lay beside him
-
"I can even act like a doggy if you want me to, see? RRRUFF! RRRRRRUFF!!" you say, starting to wag your tail and pant, then leaning up and licking his cheek, drawing a chuckle from him as he wipes a tear away from his eye
-
>"Heh... I'm sorry Pinkie," he says as he pulls you into a hug, eliciting an 'Awww' from his mother, "I just... well, I've wanted a puppy for so long... you're just not what I was expecting is all, but I think I'll like you just as much."
-
>"Why don't I leave you two to get to know each other, hmm? Anon, if you and your new friend need anything I'll be downstairs trying to figure out dinner," she says as she kisses the top of his head and departs with a satisfied smile
-
"So, Master! I wanna hear aaaalll about you! How old are you? What kind of games do you like to play? What are your favorite treats? I can bake, ya know, I can't wait for you to try some of my special recipes!"
-
>For the next hour you're enraptured hearing your new master talk about himself, his interests, and getting to know what makes him tick
-
>You learn his favorite treat in the whole wide world is chocolate chip cookies, and he seems excited when you tell him you're going to bake him some the first chance you get, with his mother's permission of course
-
>He loves almost every subject in school, especially science, and sitting out and looking up at the stars at night before he goes to bed.
-
>He's really into sci-fi and westerns, as evidenced by the various John Wayne and Star Trek movie posters all over his walls, and the little horse and cowboy statues and model starships on his shelves
-
>He warms up to you rather quickly, and so far he seems like a great kid, much to your relief
-
>He just turned ten years old about a week ago
-
>You feel sad when he mentions nobody came to his birthday party but his parents and grandparents
-
"You mean... you don't have any friends, Master?"
-
>He shakes his head with a sigh
-
>"I think that's why my mom and dad got you. They could probably tell I've been feeling pretty lonely lately. I guess it's pretty pathetic that the only way I could get even one friend was for my parents to buy me one..."
-
>You're quick to wrap him in a tight hug
-
"Everyone deserves friends, Anon. And if it makes you feel better, I'd like you even if your parents HADN'T bought me! If I met you any other way I'd still want to be your friend."
-
>That gets a smile from him
-
>"That's a really nice thing for you to say, Pinkie,"
-
"Well, I mean it! You seem super nice and I'm really looking forward to spending time with you, Master!"
