Expiry: Never

  1. So this is something I've been tossing around in my head since I actually wrote the ending all those years ago. There have been some tweaks to this story(Originally I was going to have SciTwi be the new Principal instead of Sunset Shimmer).
  2.
  3. Fir those wondering, it's probably for the best you at least have read the stories leading up to this:
  4.
  5. Cheating Elements:
  6. Cheating Elements Ending 1:
  7.
  8.
  9.
  10. >Be Twilight Sparkle.
  11. >And feel like shit.
  12. >Worse than shit.
  13. >You feel betrayed.
  14. >You feel taken advantage of.
  15. >And you feel like the only person in the world right now.
  16. >One of your good friends went behind your back.
  17. >And messed around with your other friend.
  18. >A friend you thought who was charming.
  19. >A friend you thought was honest.
  20. >Someone you thought was loyal.
  21. >A friend you thought you loved.
  22. >Well, he was a little more than just a friend.
  23. >Your boyfriend.
  24. >Well, ex boyfriend.
  25. >Anonymous.
  26. >It’s now over between you and him.
  27. >You two had been dating for a little almost a year.
  28. >You really wanted to make things work with him.
  29. >You really did.
  30. >Going so far is to give him something very precious
  31. >Something you can never take back.
  32. >And he took it.
  33. >Gladly.
  34. >Even with everything he did.
  35. >He still took it.
  36. >Sure, something like that is considered mundane by today’s standards.
  37. >But you still held it in high regard.
  38. >You wanted to save it for someone special.
  39. >Preferably for marriage.
  40. >In case you couldn’t tell, you two had sex.
  41. >It was your first time.
  42. >And you thought it was his.
  43. >Well, goes to show even intelligent people can make big mistakes.
  44. >You just wish it wasn’t such a big blunder.
  45. >And…
  46. >You don’t want to think about it more.
  47. >But you hope this won’t lead to some bigger consequences.
  48. >You are currently sitting in your tent.
  49. >Crying your eyes out.
  50. >Some of the girls tried to come in to talk to you.
  51. >But you didn’t want to hear it.
  52. >You curled up in your bed all night.
  53. >Rainbow Dash never came in to sleep on her side.
  54. >Perhaps she knew better than to try and be near you after what she pulled.
  55. >You’re not complaining, of course.
  56. >You’ll take all the alone time you can get at this point.
  57. >Try and figure this out.
  58. >Not there is much to figure out.
  59. >Anon is nothing to you now.
  60. >Same for Rainbow Dash.
  61. >You don’t know how many of them knew and kept their mouths shut.
  62. >And that is another unknown variable right now that stings.
  63. >Not knowing.
  64. >You hold your knees close to your chest and bury your face into them.
  65. >It was already late and you didn’t feel tired.
  66. >You weren’t sure what it is that you feel.
  67. >Anger?
  68. >Sadness?
  69. >It sure as hell feels like both.
  70. >One moment you want to punch through a wall.
  71. >The very next you just want to shrink and disappear.
  72. >These feelings rush through your body all through the night.
  73.
  74. >A few days pass.
  75. >You got very little sleep, if any at all.
  76. >Sunset Shimmer was the first one you said anything to.
  77. >She assures you that nobody knew about Dash and Anon.
  78. >Everyone was just as shocked as you were.
  79. >Nobody thought Dash would be so…
  80. >Promiscuous.
  81. >And Anon.
  82. >He always seemed to have a good head on his shoulders.
  83. >You guess you should have calculated for something like this.
  84. >He was a sporty jock.
  85. >Very attractive.
  86. >Really when you think about it, Dash and Anon seemed more compatible.
  87. >Which makes you upset again.
  88. >Speaking of Dash.
  89. >She was keeping her distance from you.
  90. >Some of the girls were letting her stay with them for the time being.
  91. >Speaking of,
  92. >The remaining weeks of the camping trip was canceled.
  93. >The whole commotion from that night led to some bad press.
  94. >The night gatherings were exposed.
  95. >A large group of under-aged teens drinking and partaking in some narcotics isn’t exactly a good look for a camp that also houses young children and prides itself for their wholesome and family friendly demeanor.
  96. >Also Anon has been missing ever since then.
  97. >At first you did not care one bit.
  98. >Serves him right.
  99. >You remember the last time you saw him.
  100. >It’s still fresh in your mind.
  101. >’Just..., die for all I care!’
  102. >That is what you told him.
  103. >Perhaps that’s exactly what he did?
  104. >No way.
  105. >He wouldn’t do something so stupid.
  106. >Sure you hated him now.
  107. >But for him to actually die?
  108. >You’re sure he just somehow made his way out of the camp.
  109. >Or his dumb ass is lost in the forest somewhere.
  110. >He was pretty capable on his own.
  111. >But a few days of uncomfortable loneliness could do the jerk good.
  112. >Maybe a broken limb or something.
  113. >You are all bused home where you keep most of the details from your parents.
  114. >You just say you had nothing to do with the gatherings.
  115. >And they bought it.
  116. >One less thing for you to worry about.
  117.
  118. >A little over a week later.
  119. >Anon is dead.
  120. >They found his body in a quarry deep in the forest.
  121. >They’re not sure what the cause of death is at the moment but it seems likely that it was from a fall.
  122. >A long fall.
  123. >The news was troubling to you, for sure.
  124. >But for what?
  125. >Were you happy?
  126. >Again, there were moments where you felt that way.
  127. >Then you felt bad.
  128. >Not just because you were taking joy in someone losing their life.
  129. >But that someone who was that close to you was gone.
  130. >For good.
  131. >Many of the other girls were shocked as well.
  132. >Sunset felt a little bad about it and blames herself.
  133. >Some of the others try to reassure her it was not her fault.
  134. >That it was Anon’s fault.
  135. >And it mostly is his fault.
  136. >But you won’t let Rainbow Dash off the hook either.
  137. >You two still haven’t seen each other since the incident, much less spoke to each other.
  138. >That was going to take some time to repair.
  139. >If you even wanted to fix your relationship with her to begin with.
  140. >Several weeks pass.
  141. >Anon’s funeral.
  142. >It’s open casket.
  143. >There was a large crowd.
  144. >Many students from the school were there to pay respects.
  145. >All the girls were there too, of course.
  146. >Even Rainbow Dash.
  147. >Who maintained her distance from you.
  148. >You really thought seeing him wouldn’t have much affect on you, considering, you know, how things ended.
  149. >But you’re not sure why, but seeing him resting in peace, just, made you cry?
  150. >The rest of the girls were around you and they start to hug and assure you everything is okay.
  151. >This was strange.
  152. >Why were you so distraught at seeing him?
  153. >After how he broke your trust.
  154. >And took your virginity.
  155. >You had to step away for a moment to gather yourself again.
  156. >After you calmed yourself, you made your way to your seat with the rest of the girls.
  157. >The service was nice and beautiful.
  158. >A lot of his team mates from various sports teams he played on had stories.
  159. >Some funny stories about his blunders.
  160. >Some inspirational stories when he rallied his team to victory.
  161. >You were asked if you wanted to speak.
  162. >And you declined.
  163. >You really didn’t have much to say that was nice about him at the moment so better to keep to yourself.
  164. >After it was all said and done and Anon was buried in the ground, you went and gave your condolences to his parents.
  165. >They were super appreciative and hugged you.
  166. >You apologized that this all happened.
  167. >Of course you were just telling them what they wanted to hear.
  168. >By this point the investigation was complete and the story was out about how he died.
  169. >Suicide.
  170. >All because he was exposed as a cheater.
  171. >A cowards way out, if you were to be asked.
  172. >But this was not the time for that.
  173. >You just thanked them and bid them farewell.
  174. >Never to see them again.
  175. >On the way home from the funeral you started to feel nauseous.
  176. >This has been happening more frequently and it’s starting to worry you.
  177. >And this isn’t the only thing either
  178. >You have also been oddly tired.
  179. >At first you thought it was from the stress and hurt feelings you were having of just being cheated on.
  180. >But then there were other oddities that popped up.
  181. >Like why your chest was sore.
  182. >...Broken heart?
  183. >Lets not be silly.
  184. >But you hope all of this was just from stress.
  185. >Granted, you know what stress feels like.
  186. >And this was a different kind of feeling altogether.
  187. >You just didn’t want to jump to conclusions on a worst case scenario.
  188. >Which was…
  189.
  190. >A week later.
  191. >And it was worst case scenario.
  192. >You are pregnant.
  193. >You started to get more noticeable symptoms.
  194. >Like morning sickness.
  195. >And bloating.
  196. >You finally mustered up the courage to buy a pregnancy test.
  197. >Several of them.
  198. >Just to be safe
  199. >And it came back positive.
  200. >All of them.
  201. >At first there was mild panic.
  202. >Then, positive test after positive test.
  203. >You screamed at the top of your lungs at the sight of that dreaded ‘plus’ symbol on the last one.
  204. >Your family were banging on the bathroom door over your screams of horror.
  205. >At first they were worried.
  206. >You just curled yourself in the corner of the tub, not wanting to acknowledge anybody.
  207. >Then they got annoyed.
  208. >You can hear your father call out to you.
  209. >”Twily!?”
  210. >Repeated bangs on the door continue.
  211. >You still don’t want to move.
  212. >Perhaps you should have at least tried to dispose of the tests.
  213. > Finally Shinning Armor bursts open the door when you were unresponsive.
  214. >He hurries to your side.
  215. >All the while your dad immediately takes notice of the positive tests scattered around the bathroom.
  216. >He picks one up and examines it.
  217. >Then another.
  218. >You watch in slow motion his face goes pale.
  219. >”W-wha…?”
  220. >He stutters at first.
  221. >Then his face goes from pale to red.
  222. >”What is the meaning of this!?”
  223. >He looks to you with a fury you have never seen from him before.
  224. >”Wha, who? Why!?”
  225. >He tosses the test aside and looks at another one.
  226. >Shinning Armor then starts to look at them as well.
  227. >He seems a bit more calm than your father.
  228. >But his face seems to be more a disappointed one.
  229. >You don’t say anything and look away.
  230. >You just buy your face into your legs again and start bawling again.
  231. >Dad continues to yell some more.
  232. >You pay no attention to him.
  233. >Or Shinning Armor.
  234. >Dad tries to grab you but is stopped by your older brother.
  235. >He then briefly tries to scuffle with him but is subdued easily.
  236. >Shinning Armor is no push over.
  237. >And you’re glad it looks like he is being more level headed about this.
  238. >He calms your father down and leads him outside of the bathroom and returns to your side.
  239. >Now it’s just you and him.
  240. >”Look.”
  241. >He begins to speak while sitting on the edge of the tub.
  242. >Then pauses.
  243. >Like he is trying to find the right words to say.
  244. >”I can’t keep dad calm for long but I will try.”
  245. >He pats you on the head while you continue to sob uncontrollably.
  246. >”I’ll try to give you all the time you need to take all this in. But…”
  247. >He then stands up.
  248. >”Once you leave this bathroom, we’re gonna want to have an explanation for all this.”
  249. >He takes a deep breath and walks out of the bathroom.
  250. >He then takes one last look to you before he closes the door.
  251. >”Preferably, we would like the truth.”
  252. >He then softly closes the door.
  253. >Leaving you to yourself again.
  254. >It took several hours.
  255. >In that time you could hear yelling from throughout the house.
  256. >It kept fluctuating from harsh to soft.
  257. >It only made you want to stay in the bathroom even more.
  258. >But you had to leave the bathroom some time.
  259. >It was quiet in the house.
  260. >But the lights were on, so you knew people were home.
  261. >You slowly make your way to the kitchen.
  262. >Where everyone was waiting.
  263. >For you?
  264. >Probably.
  265. >Even Shinning Armor’s wife, Cadance, was at the table.
  266. >As soon as you make an appearance, your father tries to stand up but is stopped by your brother.
  267. >He shakes his head to him and then looks to you.
  268. >He gently offers the empty seat at the table for you.
  269. >”Please.”
  270. >You glance at everyone around the table
  271. >Shinning is as calm as can be.
  272. >Father looks impatient and ready to burst at a moments notice.
  273. >Mother looks worried, but it looks like she is more afraid of what father may do if he bursts and pays little attention to you.
  274. >Cadance just has a nervous look on her face.
  275. >Bless her soul, she is trying really hard to not show it but given the situation; how can you not?
  276. >After some hesitation, you finally take your seat at the table.
  277. >There is an intense silence between all of you.
  278. >Your father has this look like he wants to burst but something is keeping him from doing so.
  279. >He eagerly eyes your brother as if he is waiting for something from him.
  280. >Shinning takes a deep breath, looks to his wife and then over to you.
  281. >”Okay, you’ve had some time.” He starts as he holds up one of the used pregnancy tests.
  282. >“Now please. Just for confirmation and that there are no misunderstandings; This is yours, correct?”
  283. >Your upper lip starts to tremble, but you nod.
  284. >Mom then lets out a yelp and buries her face into her hands and begins to sob, much like how you felt.
  285. >Cadance’s worried look holds firm but sighs and shakes her head.
  286. >Dad’s hands were clenched into fists but were resting on the table.
  287. >His face looks like he hasn’t taken a breath in some time and may pass out.
  288. >It was so red that he was almost turning purple.
  289. >Shinning Armor lets the room breathe a little more before he speaks again.
  290. >”And who is the father?”
  291. >He asks.
  292. >You’re pretty sure he knows the answer.
  293. >They all should.
  294. >They knew you were with Anon.
  295. >And while they weren’t all too thrilled that you were dating him, they didn’t think he was much trouble.
  296. >Hell, they saw him as a lovable oaf.
  297. >You still won’t answer Shinning Armor so he speaks again.
  298. >”It’s Anon, isn’t it?”
  299. >He asks again.
  300. >You didn’t answer him but there is nowhere for you to hide.
  301. >”Twily, please answer me.”
  302. >Shinning Armor speaks again, still not raising his voice.
  303. >He is playing this as cool as can be.
  304. >You look down at the table and you just nod.
  305. >There seems to be no reaction to that.
  306. >You finally tell the story of what happened at the camp.
  307. >The sex(not in detail).
  308. >The night of the incident.
  309. >How he was exposed.
  310. >How he punched Rainbow Dash in a panic.
  311. >And him running into the forest.
  312. >And how you didn’t think much of it until the symptoms started to pile up.
  313. >You haven’t told anyone anything.
  314. >You look back up to notice your dad has strangely softened his demeanor.
  315. >You also notice in the corner of your eye that Shinning Armor just tilts his head upwards and sighs.
  316. >”This further complicates things.”
  317. >He says aloud.
  318. >”Not quite!”
  319. >Dad bursts out finally.
  320. >You shoot up from your lowered position and glance at him.
  321. >Much like everyone else.
  322. >”What do you mean?”
  323. >Shinning Armor is the first one to ask.
  324. >”Yes, what do you mean?”
  325. >Mom finally chimes in.
  326. >”Since this is now an isolated incident, nobody else knows and because the boy is dead, we can quietly get rid of the baby without nobody knowing.”
  327. >He says with this bright tone in his voice.
  328. >You were feeling sick again.
  329. >Cadance now speaks up.
  330. >”Hold on; What do you mean by ‘get rid of the baby’?”
  331. >She asks what you think everyone else was thinking.
  332. >At least that was what you were thinking.
  333. >“Like, you mean give the baby up for adoption when it’s born, right?” She adds
  334. >He looks to Cadance with an almost disgusted look.
  335. >”Oh, and have a bastard child in the public system? Absolutely not!”
  336. >He exclaims.
  337. >”I mean we can schedule an abortion as soon as possible. Preferably out of state.”
  338. >He announces.
  339. >Everyone looks to him like a mad man he is portraying himself to be right now.
  340. >”N-now hold on!”
  341. >Shinning Armor tries to speak but dad shuts him off.
  342. >“I will take no chances to have this to bloom into a scandal for our family and it’s clean image and political aspirations!”
  343. >”What!?”
  344. >Cadance yelps out.
  345. >Mom just slouches in her seat and looks down.
  346. >Is she in agreement with dad?
  347. >”This is crazy!” Shinning Armor yells. ”Something like this is not even that much of a scandal nowadays!”
  348. >Dad continues to shake his head.
  349. >”Trying to make Twilight to have an abortion would be a much bigger scandal!”
  350. >Shinning Armor is now raising his voice.
  351. >”I don’t want to hear it, our family has had an impeccable record for generations and is a strong pillar in this community and I will not let this one foolish slip up be the first!”
  352. >He stands from his seat.
  353. >As does Shinning Armor.
  354. >”I won’t allow you to do this!”
  355. >Shinning Armor exclaims, his voice still as powerful as before as it rings your ears.
  356. >This is actually the first time you’ve seen him this fired up over something.
  357. >Cadance also stands from her seat and speaks up.
  358. >”You all need to stop and ask what Twilight wants!”
  359. >Your eyes widen as now everyone looks to you.
  360. >”Twilight? What do you want to do dear?”
  361. >Cadance asks you.
  362. >You look lock eyes with your old babysitter.
  363. >She looks so tired.
  364. >Like, physically tired.
  365. >Despite that she was putting on her best smile to reassure you.
  366. >Why was she letting you decide?
  367. >Would they actually honor your decision?
  368. >What do you want to do?
  369. >On one hand.
  370. >You never planned for or WANTED this baby.
  371. >The father is dead.
  372. >Whom, really, you still hate.
  373. >So another reminder of him is something you really don’t want to have around.
  374. >Plus, your dad sort of has a point.
  375. >Not so much how will it affect the family’s image.
  376. >But what will this mean for your academic future?
  377. >Will this hinder your aspirations to getting into the top University?
  378. >Will they see that you had a premarital baby so young as a character flaw?
  379. >On the other hand.
  380. >You don’t know if you could live with yourself if you go through with it.
  381. >Knowing that you prevented a life.
  382. >And in some odd twisted way, have a connection to two lost lives.
  383. >Your mind starts to spin with all this pressure and you begin to feel weak.
  384. >Cadance then rushes up to and holds you.
  385. >”Are you okay?”
  386. >She asks.
  387. >”I think we should let her rest for tonight and let her think about it.”
  388. >She then tells everyone.
  389. >”Out of the question!”
  390. >Father speaks up again and Shinning Armor steps to him.
  391. >”Dad!”
  392. >Before he gets any closer, you yell out.
  393. “L-let me talk to Anon’s parents. Let me see if they will take in the child.”
  394. >That stops dad and Shinning and they look to you.
  395. >Dad has a mixed look of amusement and disgust.
  396. >”What kind of idea is-”
  397. >He is cut off by Cadance.
  398. >”That is a wonderful idea!”
  399. >She exclaims and holds you in an embrace.
  400. >”We can arrange for you to have the baby and we can hand them over to Anon’s parents discreetly.”
  401. >You feel her embrace loosen.
  402. >”That’s what you want, right?”
  403. >Her voice is less sweet at that comment.
  404. >You look to see that she was directing her malice towards your father.
  405. >Who is getting angry again.
  406. >You then feel a hand rest on your shoulder.
  407. >Shinning Armor is on your side opposite of Cadance.
  408. >”I’m with Twilight.”
  409. >He announces to your father.
  410. >Father now seems conflicted.
  411. >He looks to his wife.
  412. >Who finally does something and stands up to move to put her hand on you as well.
  413. >”I think this is the best option.”
  414. >She speaks up for the first time.
  415. >Dad, now being the only one just hangs his head low for a moment before he shoots up and points a single finger to you.
  416. >”You must convince them to take the child, because if not…”
  417. >He then points to the rest of the family.
  418. >Who were all on your side.
  419. >He then continues,
  420. >”And you must not tell ANYONE else about this. Not your friends, not your teachers or school staff.”
  421. >He then storms off out of the kitchen and upstairs.
  422. >Once he is out of the room, the tension immediately lightens up.
  423. >Mom finally holds you close into an embrace and starts to sob.
  424. >Her sobbing only makes you more sad and you now match her embrace.
  425. >And tears.
  426.
  427. >After several days of crying and decompressing, you finally reach out to Anon’s parents.
  428. >You arrange a lunch date with them on the weekend at their home.
  429. >There, you reveal everything to them.
  430. >That you had sex with him.
  431. >Which caused the reaction from you.
  432. >That you told him to die.
  433. >...And that you ended up pregnant.
  434. >With his child.
  435. >Due to your family’s… Stubbornness, to put it lightly, you are not permitted to keep the child.
  436. >You ask if they wish to take in the child when it is born.
  437. >They will be greatly compensated by your family when they do.
  438. >But you also tell them that if they do not wish to take in the child, she will get an abortion.
  439. >Which did not sit well with them.
  440. >At all.
  441. >You try to tell them that it was pressure from your family.
  442. >And they call your family many unflattering names.
  443. >And you don’t necessarily disagree with them.
  444. >But they agree to take in the child nonetheless.
  445. >Now that it is agreed upon, your father has arranged for you to study abroad for your senior year of High School.
  446. >Which of course is a lie.
  447. >In reality, you will be living in one of your family’s cabins out of state and be home schooled.
  448. >As to not bring attention to others when you start to bloat up during the later stages of pregnancy.
  449. >And to not raise suspicion why you were away for exactly nine months.
  450. >Also you were doing this all under the guise of the whole camp ordeal left you traumatized and needed space and solitude to clear your head.
  451. >Which also means you are forbidden from hanging out with your friends in person.
  452. >Preferably try to have as little communication with them during this.
  453. >On the day you said goodbye to all your friends.
  454. >You saved Sunset Shimmer for last.
  455. >In the embrace before you left, you whispered in her ear to take your hand.
  456. >To see the truth.
  457. >She does so.
  458. >Once she lets go you immediately tell her not to say anything to the others, or anyone really.
  459. >Sunset looks absolutely bewildered and doesn’t know how to react.
  460. >With that, you are whisked off to some small town outside of Canterlot to live out the next nine months.
  461.
  462. >You are currently living in a nice cabin that your family uses on some vacations.
  463. >All amenities provided.
  464. >Even a chef.
  465. >And internet.
  466. >But now things are heavily watched over should you revel the truth to your friends online.
  467. >It’s insulting really.
  468. >And degrading.
  469. >But.
  470. >You agreed to this so you have nobody to blame but yourself.
  471. >And Anon.
  472. >The thought now sets you into a rage for some reason.
  473. >Could be the hormones.
  474. >The days turn to weeks.
  475. >Your stomach begins to bloat up.
  476. >You start to have odd cravings for odd things.
  477. >Like spicy chips dipped in vanilla ice cream.
  478. >The weeks turn to months.
  479. >You are thankful that you are able to occupy your time with endless studying.
  480. >You even got a pair of headphones and would put them on your stomach and play classical music or podcasts about mathematics and science.
  481. >There have been several studies that say doing such things will increase chances for the baby to be intelligent.
  482. >You hope the baby gets your brains and not Anon’s.
  483. >However there are some days when the baby kicks it actually hurts you.
  484. >Like, really really hurts.
  485. >You don’t think the kicks should be this painful but it always left your stomach sore.
  486. >You think the baby will have Anon’s physical strength.
  487. >The idea forces a smile from you.
  488. >You call your friends and chat with them from time to time.
  489. >Sunset tried to hint about asking how it was going but you shoot her down.
  490. >Still paranoid what your family has planted to keep tabs on you.
  491. >It’s the final phase of your pregnancy.
  492. >The baby is due any day now.
  493. >There is now a midwife staying with you for when you go into labor.
  494. >You look at yourself in the mirror.
  495. >And you look like a mess.
  496. >But you admit not much worse than some of your all nighters when you studied for big science projects.
  497. >Just now your stomach is a giant ball and your breasts have gotten much bigger as well.
  498. >Finally, you start to get convulsions.
  499. >And go into labor.
  500. >It was a painfully intense two days.
  501. >You try your best to follow along with the midwife and her breathing exercises to help with birthing.
  502. >But every other breath is just a yell from the pain.
  503. >Finally you just continually scream
  504. >But you finally manage to push out a baby.
  505. >Your screeches are now accompanied with another more high pitched screech.
  506. >You fall back on the bed with the huge wave of relief of no longer having something shoved through your cooch.
  507. >Now there is just one thing screeching.
  508. >”It’s a girl!”
  509. >The midwife proclaims as she cleans her up and wraps her into a clean sheet.
  510. >She then turns to you.
  511. >She stares at you and then at the baby as if wondering what she should do.
  512. >”Would you like to hold her?”
  513. >She finally offers the baby to you.
  514. >You hesitate.
  515. >You don’t know if you should.
  516. >Because if you hold her, you may not want to let her go.
  517. >Ever.
  518. >But consequences be damned, you hold out your arms to hold the baby.
  519. >Who was still whimpering in the midwife’s arms.
  520. >The midwife smiles and then gently hands the child off to you.
  521. >The child begins to calm down from her initial tantrum.
  522. >You slowly bring the baby close to your chest.
  523. >And you sit there with a baby in your hands.
  524. >Your baby.
  525. >Your daughter.
  526. >And...
  527. >Oh no.
  528. >She’s green.
  529. >And the little hair she has is black.
  530. >You can’t see the color of her eyes though.
  531. >But there is no denying she Anon’s.
  532. >Which upsets you for like a nanosecond.
  533. >Sure, Anon helped make her.
  534. >Without you really wanting to, per se.
  535. >But she is not Anon.
  536. >She has half your genes as well.
  537. >And she will be her own person.
  538. >Plus she is the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen.
  539. “Hello there.”
  540. >You whisper to your baby.
  541. >She finally has fully calmed down and has even begun to sleep in your arms.
  542. >There is something so comforting and peaceful in seeing her sleeping face.
  543. >You chuckle and hold the baby close to you.
  544. >That’s not a bad idea.
  545. >The labor was really intense and now that the rush of child birth is over, your energy is all tapped out.
  546. >”You should rest.”
  547. >The midwife then tries to take the child from you.
  548. >You instinctively hold her closer to you.
  549. “I. I’d like to sleep with the baby. Just for tonight. If I may…”
  550. >The midwife then looks a little alarmed.
  551. >She looks like she’s not sure what she should do.
  552. >”Um…”
  553. >She stutters.
  554. >It looks like she’s having a hard time to come up with the words.
  555. >Then after a few moments she just lets out a hefty sigh.
  556. >”I wasn’t supposed to let you hold her for long, but nobody else is here so I won’t say anything if you don’t”
  557. >You weakly put a smile on your face and just nod.
  558. >You are then left to fall asleep.
  559. >With your daughter in your arms.
  560.
  561. >The very next day you are flown back to Canterlot.
  562. >Anon’s parents are informed of the baby’s birth.
  563. >And to come to your house to pick her up.
  564. >You were given very little time with her.
  565. >Once you made it back into Canterlot, you weren’t even allowed to carry your own baby.
  566. >For fear of someone getting a glance of you holding a baby.
  567. >It was stating to get ridiculous.
  568. >Once you step foot into your house, Anon’s parents were already there.
  569. >Waiting for you.
  570. >They were sitting in the main living room with your own parents.
  571. >Shinning Armor was also there but no Cadance.
  572. >They seemed to be in the middle of a heated discussion over something.
  573. >With Shinning Armor once again trying to play the level headed mediator between them.
  574. >Which seemed to have stopped once they noticed you were there with the midwife.
  575. >And the baby.
  576. >Father had this impatient look on his face as if he wanted to get this over with.
  577. >And for the record, Anon’s parents also looked like they just wanted to get the child and leave immediately as well.
  578. >You simply keep a distance from everyone and stay close to the midwife when your father speaks up.
  579. >”Well? What are we waiting for? Let’s get this over with!”
  580. >You then hear Anon’s mom pipe up with a loud grunt.
  581. >”I couldn’t agree more!”
  582. >Anon’s dad is the one to speak up.
  583. >Anon’s parents stand up from their seats and start to make their way to the midwife when you finally move in between them.
  584. “Wait.”
  585. >You hastily say.
  586. >Turning to the midwife.
  587. “I…, I want to be the one to hand her over.”
  588. >You hold your hands out.
  589. >Wanting to hold your child one last time.
  590. >The midwife pauses at first and steps back and looks over to your parents.
  591. >She was paid by them to keep the child away from you as much as possible.
  592. >You then look over to your parents who vehemently shake their heads.
  593. >”Dad!”
  594. >Shinning Armor barks at them but your dad seems to stand his ground.
  595. >”No! I want as little connection with it as possible.”
  596. >”For goodness sake she’s YOUR GRANDDAUGHTER TOO!”
  597. >Anon’s mom yells at your dad with a bit of sass.
  598. >To which your dad responds in kind.
  599. >”DON’T YOU DARE COMPARE IT WITH ME YOU WENCH!”
  600. >To which Anon’s dad now steps up to your dad.
  601. >”Don’t you fucking talk to my wife like that!”
  602. >Things are falling apart and Shinning Armor swiftly steps in between them to hold them apart.
  603. >He pays more attention to your own father as he is the aggressor.
  604. >”Knock it off, dad!”
  605. >He barks at him then looks to the midwife.
  606. >”Give Twilight the baby.”
  607. >He says with authority.
  608. >You then turn to the midwife who still looks conflicted as whether to do so or not.
  609. >”It’s okay, I am telling you to do so.”
  610. >He adds.
  611. >Your own mom seems to sit back down and tries to look invisible.
  612. >Perhaps she’s also embarrassed with how your dad is handling all this.
  613. >After much hesitation, the midwife finally hands your daughter over to you.
  614. >So you can hold her one more time.
  615. >You slowly turn to Anon’s parents.
  616. >You deliberately take your time to reach them.
  617. >However much you tried to stall, you end up right next to them.
  618. >You then look to them.
  619. >And begrudgingly reach your arms out to present them with the child.
  620. >Once Anon’s parents got their first glimpse of their granddaughter, they step back.
  621. >Anon’s mom quickly looks away.
  622. >”Oh, she looks just like Nonny did when he was a newborn!”
  623. >She exclaims and begins to sob uncontrollably.
  624. >Anon’s dad looks like he just aged a few decades upon laying eyes on the child.
  625. >He seems so tired and withered from even just a few moments ago where he was several feet away from putting hands on your father.
  626. >”She does…”
  627. >He says softly.
  628. >His eyes getting pearly from the building tears.
  629. >He finally takes the child.
  630. >You try your best to keep you hands on the baby for as long as you could.
  631. >But finally, you had to let go.
  632. >As soon as you do, the baby starts to stir in Dadanon’s arms.
  633. >And she begins to whimper.
  634. >Then she starts crying.
  635. >That reaction alone sent your own emotions into a tailspin.
  636. >You instinctively look away and storm out of the living room as you can already feel the tears start to flow down your face.
  637. >It was too much.
  638. >You can hear the baby’s wails echo through the house as you get further away.
  639. >This was what’s best for the baby.
  640. >You’re not sure if this was the RIGHT thing to do.
  641. >But at least she will live.
  642. >Plus she will grow up with a loving family and not be doomed to an orphanage and who knows what she could end up with.
  643. >And she’ll be close.
  644. >Your parents can’t keep you away from her forever.
  645. >But the thought of it in the heat of the moment is just overwhelming.
  646. >You run as fast as you can to your room.
  647. >Lock the door.
  648. >Toss your glasses off and onto the desk.
  649. >And jump onto your bed and bury your face into your pillow.
  650. >And let out all of the pent up emotions this has put you through.
  651. >That didn’t help.
  652. >You sit up and look around your room.
  653. >Looking for something.
  654. >Anything.
  655. >You then notice on your desk a pair of scissors.
  656. >So then you make your way to your desk.
  657. >And grab the scissors,
  658. >You open them.
  659. >And feel the edge.
  660. >It doesn’t feel sharp.
  661. >But perhaps…
  662. >You shake your head and toss the scissors across the room.
  663. >What the hell are you thinking?
  664. >Were you seriously contemplating taking a cowards way out like Anon did?
  665. >Also, scissors?
  666. >Really?
  667. >No.
  668. >You need to do something to get these thoughts out of your head.
  669. >But what?
  670. >You look around your room again, and you see your bookshelf.
  671. >All the various novels and textbooks of various subjects.
  672. >Some you bought but never really looked through.
  673. >Saying you’d get to them eventually.
  674. >You then grab one.
  675. >Open the book.
  676. >And begin to read.
  677. >And for just a moment, all the troubles around your are gone.
  678.
  679. >A Year later.
  680. >”Ma ma!”
  681. >Be Momanon.
  682. >And be tired.
  683. >Well, more tired than usual.
  684. >It had been many many years since you had to care for a baby.
  685. >But obviously this was different.
  686. >While this wasn’t your child.
  687. >It was your child’s child.
  688. >Who is no longer here with you.
  689. >Unfortunate circumstances.
  690. >Long story short you are now in the care of your only grandchild.
  691. >Since your older son decided to go the way of the new age hippies and claim to not be interested in women.
  692. >This was not the way you wanted your grandkid though.
  693. >And now at a year old, little Alanamous is beginning to form words.
  694. >”Mama!”
  695. >She sloppily says again.
  696. >Her little bubbly smile makes you smile yourself.
  697. >You start to tear up.
  698. >Clearly you aren’t her mother.
  699. >And again, back to the unfortunate circumstances, the mother will not be involved in her life as far as you can tell.
  700. >So what do you do here?
  701. >Do you continue to let her call you mom?
  702. >Or do you correct a baby?
  703. ”No.”
  704. >You respond sweetly to the child.
  705. ”Grandma.”
  706. >You tell her.
  707. >Forcing a smile so as to let her know all was well.
  708. “Grandma.”
  709. >You say again.
  710. >After several minutes of back and forth babbling the baby seems to quickly get the message.
  711. >”Ga. Ga. Gama!”
  712. >Such a smart girl.
  713. >You start to feel a single tear track down your cheek.
  714. >Trying to fool a toddler that they were tears of joy was much simpler than you thought.
  715.
  716. >Another Year passes
  717. >”Hehehehehehehe!”
  718. >A little green flash starts to run around the house while you give chase.
  719. “Lonny get back here!”
  720. >You try to nab the little bundle of energy as she zips around the house and chuckles like a mini maniac.
  721. >She’s a quick one.
  722. >You grab little Alana and start to sway your arms from side to side.
  723. “Got you!”
  724. >You coo but then quickly put her down.
  725. >You were getting old.
  726. >Things weren’t as easy as they were when you were raising your initial children.
  727. >Granted you weren’t THAT old.
  728. >But truth be told before everything went to shit, you and your husband were prepared to retire early once Anon was out of the house.
  729. >Now you both had to quickly pivot into committing to raising a new child.
  730. >You were compensated handsomely for it.
  731. >Though now in hindsight. You may have done things a bit different.
  732. >Like actually read the contract that was shoved into your face when you took Alanamous from the mother.
  733. >Or had a lawyer read it.
  734. >There were so many stupid stipulations to you taking her in.
  735. >You thought the paperwork was just for claiming custody of the child.
  736. >Most of the stipulations were just keeping the child away from the mother.
  737. >Which you found completely unreasonable.
  738. >You tried to get lawyers involved afterwords.
  739. >But was quickly shot down by the mothers family’s crack team of high powered corporate lawyers.
  740. >There is nothing you could really do so you just took the money from the family since it was there.
  741. >You already had a savings fund for Anonymous for when he graduated and went to college.
  742. >So you were just going to throw the ‘hush money’ you were given, because it IS hush money, into the fund and now save it for when Alana comes of age.
  743. >And if the mother wants to reach out to the kid, you were not going to stop her.
  744.
  745. >4 years later.
  746. >Be proud grandparent.
  747. >6 year old Alanamous just got first prize in her first Science fair!
  748. >Something Anon never got.
  749. >She’s such a little smarty pants.
  750. >Not that Anon showed any interest in science at a young age.
  751. >Or ever.
  752. >Anon was more an athlete.
  753. >Which don’t sleep on Alana and athletics either.
  754. >You enrolled her in youth girls soccer and she was the top player for the team.
  755. >Not that it mattered.
  756. >Her soccer league at this age is all about having fun and there are no ‘winners’ or ‘losers’ and everyone got a participation trophy.
  757. >Damn this new generation.
  758.
  759. >2 years later.
  760. >Her eye color has developed into a beautiful modest violet.
  761. >Alanamous was having some headaches and would sometimes trip over obvious obstacles frequently led her to having to wear glasses.
  762. >Poor thing hated them.
  763. >She would complain that she was getting teased for them.
  764. >It also didn’t help that she also has to wear braces to correct her teeth.
  765. >She also just won first place in the local Mathletics competition.
  766. >It was becoming very clear that she was becoming the ‘nerd’ that kids liked to pick on.
  767. >But you didn’t think too much of it.
  768. >After all, they’re only kids.
  769. >Also, she was the top athlete in her girls soccer club.
  770. >She was bound to make friends somewhere.
  771.
  772. >2 years later.
  773. >And Alana is getting bullied regularly now.
  774. >Not just of her perfect grades and ‘geeky’ look.
  775. >Strangely she was also being teased for being such an excellent athlete and she was now outpacing the boys and that hurt their feelings.
  776. >But that wasn’t the worst of it.
  777. >Apparently she had a school project to make a family tree and since she can’t know about her moms side of the family, it was only half complete.
  778. >And since her father is dead and therefor, she has no parents, led to a lot of kids started to call her such a freak abomination that her mom and dad ditched her.
  779. >It broke her little heart.
  780. >Since when was it so bad that you were good at everything?
  781. >Kids had become so cruel from when you were little.
  782. >Alana cried in her room for hours.
  783. >You kind of made it worse by telling her that her mom was around and the she lover her very much.
  784. >”THEN WHERE IS SHE!?”
  785. >She would scream at you.
  786. >”WHAT DID I DO WRONG THAT SHE DOESN’T WANT TO SEE ME!?”
  787. >That one hurt you a bit.
  788. >You have no rebuttal for that.
  789. >You probably shouldn’t have mentioned that the mom was indeed still around.
  790. >But what else can you do?
  791. >You really hated that you agreed to keep quiet.
  792. >For the record, Twilight Sparkle hasn’t reached out either like you thought she would.
  793. >You fear this may all backfire spectacularly in the future.
  794. >You just pray to god it doesn’t come to that.
  795. >In the meantime, Dadanon then had the bright idea to enroll her into some contact sports.
  796. >You know, for self defense.
  797.
  798. >2 more years pass.
  799. >Still no word from Twilight Sparkle.
  800. >You are not sure how you feel about that.
  801. >As a mother, you find it appalling that a woman would never want to be a part of her child’s life.
  802. >On the other hand…
  803. >That family of hers.
  804. >It was frightening how…
  805. >Controlling they were.
  806. >Even so.
  807. >It’s been 12 years.
  808. >Twilight should be in her late twenties by now.
  809. >You would think that would be enough time.
  810. >Frankly at this point Twilight Sparkle seems to be the least of your worries for Alanamous.
  811. >Remember when Dadanon decided to put Alana in some self defense classes?
  812. >Well, much like her father before her, she took to it well.
  813. >Dadanon enrolled her into several different martial arts practices since she didn’t seem to be interested in boxing like Anon was,
  814. >But now with this newfound ability, you have been getting a lot of calls from school.
  815. >Mainly about her and roughing up many of the other students.
  816. >Even breaking the bones of a few of them.
  817. >It’s gotten her into a lot of trouble.
  818. >And a few lawsuits...
  819. >And despite all that, her grades were all perfect.
  820. >She regularly made the Honor roll
  821. >She was still winning first place in Academic competitions as well as physical ones.
  822. >Including martial arts tournaments where she won Summer apprenticeship programs that took her overseas to train.
  823. >She’s a prodigy, plain and simple.
  824. >Every year at Parent teacher Conference it was the same story.
  825. >”She has such a brilliant mind and could be destined for great things. She just has behavioral problems.”
  826. >You try to talk to her about it.
  827. >But you fear that she may have zoned you out.
  828. >Yes, you may be her legal guardians.
  829. >Yes you are her grandparents.
  830. >But you are not her mom.
  831. >Dadanon is not her dad.
  832. >You were supposed to be her grandparents.
  833. >You weren’t supposed to be raising your grandchild.
  834. >You were supposed to give her the extra scoop of ice cream that her parents wouldn’t allow.
  835. >You were supposed to be the ones to let her stay up way past her bedtime because she was visiting you on the weekends.
  836. >You were supposed to spoil her rotten with all sorts of gifts.
  837. >That is not the case now.
  838. >And while that shouldn’t matter.
  839. >It seems to matter so much for her.
  840.
  841. >Another year passes.
  842. >Alana entered high school.
  843. >Originally, due to her excellent grades, high intelligence and elite athletic ability, she was accepted into Crystal Prep Academy.
  844. >But was quickly expelled not even a month after her freshman year started.
  845. >For beating up and injuring another student.
  846. >Broke the other student’s nose.
  847. >Generally when something like that happens, it’s just a suspension.
  848. >But a private school like Crystal Prep takes things like that seriously.
  849. >Oh, and the student she injured had some influential parents.
  850. >Because, you know, prestigious private school.
  851. >That probably didn’t help.
  852. >But it also could have been for the best since that school was full of nothing but snobby brats.
  853. >So she ended up at her father’s school.
  854. >Canterlot High
  855. >And thank god for that.
  856. >Things have mellowed out once she got there.
  857. >She has a little group of friends.
  858. >Although she vehemently denies that they are her friends.
  859. >But she still has problems listening to her elders.
  860. >And still will not back down from a fight.
  861. >But her grades are still top of the class and she continues to win awards for her intelligence.
  862. >And she is still an elite athlete and excels in her school sports.
  863. >She even has a rival to keep her on her toes and her head on straight and focused.
  864. >And there was a new school principal coming into her junior year.
  865. >That’s important because you feel she didn’t get into a lot of trouble before was because the previous Principal felt for her situation and was somewhat lenient towards her.
  866. >Who knows how this new principal was going to handle her.
  867.
  868. >Be Alanamous
  869. >Alana for short.
  870. >You were making your 3 mile walk to school.
  871. >You do have a car and you do know how to drive.
  872. >But you prefer to walk.
  873. >To stay in shape and in top form for your various physical activities.
  874. >You also don’t feel like it’s that bad of a walk anyways.
  875. >The car is actually a hand-me-down that belonged to your dad.
  876. >Not that you hated your dad or anything.
  877. >Your dad.
  878. >Someone you have never met.
  879. >Or will ever meet.
  880. >He died before you were born.
  881. >According to your grandparents.
  882. >Who happen to be your dead dad’s parents.
  883. >Who are also your legal guardians.
  884. >You’ve asked before what had happened to him.
  885. >Seems like he fell off a cliff during a Summer camping trip.
  886. >You never really questioned it.
  887. >They had newspaper clippings from when it happened.
  888. >The only thing you did question them on, though.
  889. >Speaking about parents you’ve never met.
  890. >Was who was your mom.
  891. >And as far as you can tell, or even care, she’s probably dead too.
  892. >Your grandparents used to tell you all the time when you were younger that she is still around and that one day she would come to see you.
  893. >But after so many years of them saying that and her never showing up or the fact that your grandparents flat out refused to tell you anything about her, you simply stopped caring.
  894. >Not like you needed her anyways.
  895. >You think your grandparents did a solid job raising you.
  896. >They were always there for you.
  897. >Supporting you in everything you did.
  898. >Cheering for you in all of your competitions, be it athletic or academic.
  899. >It’s just…
  900. >Sometimes.
  901. >It feels like something is missing.
  902. >”Your father would be SO proud of you if he were here!”
  903. >Your grandma would say.
  904. >But.
  905. >Would he be?
  906. >Yeah yeah, of course he would because he’s your dad.
  907. >But still.
  908. >You’d much rather hear it from him.
  909. >Same with your mother.
  910. >Would she be proud of you?
  911. >It used to bother you a lot when you were younger.
  912. >What was so bad about your mom that they actively try to keep information about her from you?
  913. >Or what was so bad about you that she doesn’t seem to want to be a part of your life?
  914. >Other kids used to tease you for not knowing your own parents.
  915. >There was even a chant that spread around the school yard back in the day.
  916. >’Alana has no mama~’
  917. >That really got to you.
  918. >The other kids back in the day were real assholes.
  919. >But, over the years you just learned to stop caring.
  920. >What helped(or made things worse) was your grandparents put you in various self defense classes.
  921. >Wing Chun.
  922. >JiuJitsu.
  923. >Muay Thai.
  924. >You learned a lot over the years to the point you started to put some other students in their place.
  925. >You tried to not become a bully yourself but some of them were just begging for it.
  926. >It was the reason you got expelled from Crystal Perp Academy.
  927. >Some wannabe ‘Stacy’ tried to throw her weight around about how her mom was in power and she could do whatever she wanted.
  928. >And tried to push you around and intimidate you.
  929. >You had none of it.
  930. >One palm strike to the face ended that.
  931. >And your time there.
  932. >Guess she at least made good on her threat to get you thrown out of that place.
  933. >For the better.
  934. >You hated how pretentious everyone felt there.
  935. >And you only went there because you had no say.
  936. >Your grandparents pretty much pushed you into that place.
  937. >It is a very prestigious private school that cost a lot of money to attend but your academic scores were the best in the state as well as super stellar extracurricular record so you were given a free ride scholarship.
  938. >Your grandparents said it would have been better for your future.
  939. >Fuck that.
  940. >You also hated having to wear a uniform anyways.
  941. >Now you attend Canterlot High School.
  942. >Where your dad attended.
  943. >It’s not as bad.
  944. >There were still shitty students.
  945. >But there were some chill students.
  946. >Some you might even call your-
  947. >”Alana!”
  948. >You feel a weight press itself on your back.
  949. >Normally you’d react to something like that with a takedown and maybe even a knee strike.
  950. >But you knew who this was.
  951. >You remove the hood of your sweatshirt from your head and let your unkempt black shoulder length hair flow out to better see them.
  952. “Morning Sunny.”
  953. >You dully greet your new walking partner.
  954. >Sunny Starscout.
  955. >Apricot orange colored skin complemented her long magenta purple hair that hung down to her waist.
  956. >It was twisted into a loose ponytail and rested over her right shoulder.
  957. >There was a strange rainbow streak that ran through her hair and you sometimes wonder how she got it to do that.
  958. >She wore a pair of pale blue denim overalls over her two tone gray blue striped long sleeve shirt.
  959. >Her overall look made her seem like she was still in grade school.
  960. >Also doesn’t help that she also has braces over her teeth.
  961. >She begins to walk alongside you with an enthusiasm that slightly annoyed you.
  962. >”You ready for Junior year?”
  963. >She asked you.
  964. >Junior year.
  965. >As if just trying to exist wasn’t already tiring enough.
  966. >Now everyone is getting on your ass about what you are going to for the rest of your life.
  967. >Like you’re someone who has their life figured out that you know what your future holds.
  968. >You just grunt at your walking partner.
  969. “I don’t want to think about it.”
  970. >You tell Sunny as you take a drink out of your water bottle.
  971. >The school was getting into view.
  972. >Ready to start a new school year.
  973. >Sunny then playfully bumps into you.
  974. >”Oh, come on!” She chirps. “With your smarts, you should join me in getting into the astrophysics field!”
  975. >She continues on.
  976. >”Canterlot University has an amazing program with some of the top astrophysicists in the world!”
  977. >You start to tune her out.
  978. >She always goes on forever about that.
  979. >As you get closer to the school, you pass by the dumpster for the school.
  980. >Which means one thing.
  981. >You take your half full water bottle and casually toss it in the air and it travels into the dumpster.
  982. >You hear a small thud in the dumpster.
  983. >”Ow!”
  984. >Someone cries out from inside the dumpster.
  985. >Which gets a slight chuckle out of you.
  986. >From inside the dumpster, someone hops out to greet you two.
  987. >A tall, lanky girl.
  988. >Pale violet colored skin.
  989. >Long, wavy and unkempt cobalt blue hair that flowed down to her knees.
  990. >A pair of goggles tied the hair mostly together at the top.
  991. > She wore a long cream colored skirt with various flower patterns all over along with a denim jacket with round button pins clipped all over that covers her navy blue shirt.
  992. >”Oh! Hey guys!”
  993. >The girl happily calls out as she hops out of the dumpster to join alongside yourself and Sunny.
  994. >Once she is out of the dumpster, she reaches over and pulls a large pale tote bag and hurls it over her right shoulder.
  995. >”Heya Izzy!” Sunny greets your new companion.
  996. >Izzy Moonbow.
  997. >She doesn’t live in the dumpster.
  998. >As far as you can tell.
  999. >You’ve never actually seen her house and she’s usually found rummaging through dumpsters and trash cans.
  1000. >Don’t be fooled though.
1001. >She’s actually pretty good with her hands and can fix anything you put in front of her.
1002. >Izzy hands you back your half full water bottle and you casually open it to take another drink from it.
1003. >”You guys ready for the new year?”
  1004. >Izzy inquires.
  1005. >You simply grumble
1006. >”Sounds like a neat idea!” Izzy replies to you.
1007. >Sunny giggles at Izzys’ response.
1008. >”Alana is just cranky right now because she needs to figure out what to do about her future.”
  1009. >Sunny assumes your mood.
1010. >Izzy looks to you and to Sunny and then back to you.
1011. >”Something will come up.” Izzy tells you. “By the way, you gotta check out this new device I came up with!”
1012. >Izzy then pulls out what looks to be a cylinder with wires sticking out everywhere.
1013. >She then flips a few switches and the cylinder like device starts to shake and rattle in her hand.
1014. >Then sparks fly and smoke emits from the device.
1015. “What was that even supposed to be?”
  1016. >You finally speak up.
1017. >Still walking towards the school.
1018. >”This was supposed to be a portable charger by using can tabs and friction in the cylinder to generate electricity”
  1019. >Big if true.
1020. >”I think I had a bad tab in there, I’ll need to open it up to check it out in a bit”
1021. >But not everything she builds works.
1022. >You finally make it to school.
  1023. >Canterlot High School.
1024. >Lots of other students are already filing in and regrouping with their cliques.
1025. >Sunny and Izzy break off to claim their lockers for the year.
1026. >You never used a locker in school and carried all your textbooks in your backpack as extra weight.
1027. >So you just head to your spot and everyone else will gather.
1028. >Around the corner of the courtyard and heading towards the field stands a single tree.
1029. >In front of the tree is a stone bench with a small plaque memorial.
1030. >’Dedicated to the memory of Anonymous T, Incognito. Who left Us Too Soon.’
1031. >A monument to your dad after his passing.
1032. >As you walk up to the bench, you squat down and place your hand on the plaque.
  1033. “Hey dad.”
1034. >You softly say to nobody.
1035. >You then set yourself on the bench and remove your back pack to look for your schedule.
  1036. >There is a special assembly today.
1037. >Not just for the beginning of the school year.
1038. >But because there was a new Principal who was taking charge of the school and you were going to be introduced to them.
1039. >Izzy and Sunny finally come over to reunite with you along with a new person.
1040. >”And here we are at our usual spot.”
1041. >A third person waltzes up to you.
1042. >The new person was pointing their cell phone at themselves.
1043. >Flicking their short moderate violet hair.
1044. >She wore a white half jacket that barely covered her burgundy tube top that also barely covered her pale pink skin that shined when exposed in sunlight.
1045. >The tube top also did a poor job of hiding her large breasts.
1046. >Which she only has because of her… extra weight.
  1047. >She’s not obese.
1048. >But she definitely wouldn’t have tits as big if she were skinnier.
1049. >She also wore a white skin tight skirt that rode up just past her knees with white boots that went up to her knees.
1050. >She was dolled up to the max.
  1051. >Pipp Petals.
1052. >She then introduces you all to the phone.
1053. >”You all know my crew here!”
  1054. >She brightly chirps.
1055. >”We’ve got the ever so optimistic and brainy Sunny Starscout!”
1056. >She points the screen to Sunny who shyly waves to the camera.
1057. >”And over here we have the… eccentric but handy Izzy Moonbow”
  1058. >Izzy then aggressively waves.
1059. >”Hi people in the phone!” Izzy replies to the attention
1060. >Finally she moves the phone over to you.
1061. >”And everyone’s favorite small but powerful karate expert! Alanamous R Incognito!”
1062. >You blankly stare at the phone with a slight glare.
1063. >”Oh! I’m sorry! I forgot I’m not supposed to call you small anymore!”
  1064. >She giggles.
1065. >”Alana still packs a punch and can still hit you like an 18 wheeler!”
1066. >Pipp then weakly thrusts her fist outwards in a punching motion
1067. >You notice her tits sway from the movement.
1068. “You know, having a pair of big tits because you’re fat is like saying you have a fast car because it’s falling off a cliff.”
1069. >You quickly quip at Pipp while poking her exposed stomach.
1070. >She then quickly pulls back from you and begins to laugh nervously.
1071. >”Ah! Haha, good one Lonny!”
1072. >She tells you with a worried look on her face.
1073. >There was another chuckle from behind you.
1074. >”You really should stop antagonizing Alana, Pipp.”
1075. >You don’t even look behind you to see who it is.
1076. >You know who it is.
1077. >The new mysterious girl then steps over the stone bench and sits herself next to you.
  1078. >Navy blue jean shorts.
  1079. >Charcoal gray t shirt.
  1080. >Creamy white skin.
1081. >Moderate rose hair with teal streaks along the sides.
1082. >Her hair was cut short into a fauxhawk fade.
1083. >She looks over to you with a smirk and holds out her fist.
1084. >You smirk back and bump her fist with yours.
  1085. >Zipp Storm.
  1086. >Pipps older sister.
1087. >And someone who you consider to be on your level when it comes to athletics.
1088. >She can keep up with you in most sports.
1089. >And keeps you on your toes.
1090. >The last two years you’ve both battled it out to be captains of your sports teams.
1091. >And this year will be no different.
1092. >Which makes Pipp one your your junior.
1093. >”Hahaha! Well my pipsqueaks! The dashing and daring Zipp Storm has entered the fray!”
1094. >Pipp continues to pander to her phone.
1095. >”Well, school is about to start so I’ll sign off for now but don’t you worry! I’ll be back before you know it!”
1096. >She then blows a kiss to the screen of the phone and waves.
  1097. >”Tootles!”
1098. >Pipp then lowers her phone and lets out a hefty sigh.
1099. >”You know, you guys can be a bit of a downer.”
1100. >She tells you and Zipp.
1101. “You’re the one who insists on continuing to call me small.”
  1102. >You clap back.
1103. >Sure, you are the shortest of the group.
1104. >With Pipp being only half an inch taller than you.
1105. >”It’s what my viewers know you as!” Pipp explains. “You actually have a little mini fanbase within my pipsqueaks!”
1106. >She then tries to show you something on her phone but you just ignore her.
1107. >You then feel a nudge from Zipp to your left.
1108. >”You hear that we’re going to have a new soccer coach this year?” Zipp asks.
  1109. >This caught your attention.
1110. “First I’ve heard of it.”
  1111. >You reply.
  1112. >Zipp then nods.
1113. >”Yep. Heard it from a few of the others.”
1114. >You then smirk as you put your schedule back into your backpack.
1115. “Guess we’ll have to break the new coach in.”
  1116. >You answer.
1117. >Over the past two years, both you and Zipp had been too much for the previous coach to handle.
1118. >To the point that the other girls would listen to you two moreso than the coach.
1119. >”Speaking of new!” Sunny now chimes in. “Who do you think it taking over for Principal Celestia?”
1120. >”I think it’ll be Cranky Doodle!” Izzy responds.
1121. >”Nah, he’s too old and hates the job he’s doing already.”
  1122. >Pipp answers Izzy.
1123. >”What do you think Alana?” Sunny asks.
1124. “Don’t care.” you quickly respond.
1125. >You then stand from your seat on the bench.
1126. “I’ll see you guys at the assembly.”
1127. >You bid your crew farewell and head to your first class.
  1128.
  1129. >Assembly time.
1130. >You’ve all gathered in the school’s cafeteria.
1131. >Principal Celestia is on stage.
1132. >She looks over you all with a benevolence of a kind ruler.
1133. >”Good morning my lovely students” Principal Celestia address you all.
1134. >”First and foremost, I would like to welcome you to a new exciting year here at Canterlot High School!”
1135. >She pauses for an applause from the student body then continues.
1136. >”This year will prove to be one of the more exhilarating years as this year, we will host the quadrennial competition with our in-town school rival, Crystal Preparatory Academy in the special event we call the ‘Friendship Games’!”
1137. >Another pause for a reaction from the students.
  1138. >Crystal Prep?
1139. >Great, you thought you would never have to deal with those bougie cunts again.
1140. >”This event is held every 4 years to promote Sportsmanship, excellence and fidelity!”
1141. >There is less enthusiasm from the crowd now.
1142. >”Students from both schools come together and compete in various sports and academic challenges in a friendly competition.”
1143. >Principal Celestia then pauses and sighs.
1144. >”Unfortunately, I will not be a part of Canterlot High for this iteration of the Friendship Games.” She continues ”I have served as this school’s principal for many many years and in my time here, I have gotten to know many of you over the years.”
  1145. >Another pause.
1146. >”In many cases I’ve even gotten to know many of your parents during their times here as well. But now it’s time I step back and take another role within the school district, and thus, I am stepping down as Canterlot High’s principal”
  1147. >She takes on a somber tone.
1148. >”It was a difficult decision, but one that was necessary to continue to support you all in your future pursuits.”
1149. >Her tone then brightens up a bit.
1150. >”However, I am overjoyed to introduce you all to your new school principal.”
1151. >She looks over to the side of the stage.
1152. >”She is a former student of the school who excelled in her academics and while she wasn’t always a model student, she always had class and character to take responsibility for her mistakes and made an exceptional example of someone turning over a new leaf.”
1153. >She then motions for the new person to come onto the stage.
1154. >”And in the years since her graduation, she has worked her way through the ranks and now I am proud to introduce you all to your new Principal!”
1155. >A woman then comes onto the stage.
1156. >She was wearing a pair of charcoal gray slacks with a sunset orange blazer covering a bright warm violet turtleneck.
1157. >Her firey red and yellow streaked hair was ted up into an updo with strands hanging down the side of her light amber skinned face.
1158. >She gave Principal Celestia an embrace and stepped up to the podium.
  1159. >”Good morning Canterlot High!”
1160. >She spoke into the mic in a high tone to a modest applause.
1161. >”I’m excited to be taking the mantle from an amazing person and carrying on her legacy to be the best principal this school needs.”
  1162. >Another applause.
1163. >”While I am not from around here, I did spend my entire high school life here, and while there were bumps on the road, I had an amazing support group of friends who helped me through tough times and made me the woman I am today!” she pauses. “And I hope to give back to the newer generation who needs help and foster an environment full of friendship!”
1164. >A much larger applause than the previous one.
1165. >”As such, this will be an important first year for me as I will be overseeing this years’ Friendship Games and there will be several prep rallies leading up to the event and…”
1166. >You tuned her out at this point.
  1167. >You heard enough.
1168. >Though having a chance to stick it to Crystal Preppies does sound fun.
1169. >Everything else was just gibberish for all you cared.
1170. >After the assembly you went back to your respective classes until it was lunch time.
1171. >You Sunny and Izzy were lounging at a lunch table.
1172. >Izzy was tinkering with her tab engine.
1173. >Sunny was deep into reading a magazine when she then turned the magazine to you.
1174. >”Look Alana!” She squeals. “This months issue of ‘Cosmos Monthly’ has an article about an updated theory about the affects of radiation of dwarf planets that orbit hypergiants that was proposed by Professor Twilight Sparkle!”
1175. >You take a quick glance at the article.
  1176. >Seems interesting.
1177. >Along with the article there is a photo of Professor Twilight Sparkle.
1178. >She had this strange unkempt and tired look to her.
1179. >Like she hasn’t gotten any sleep in years.
1180. >And for someone with 4 doctorates, you can understand.
1181. >But there is this strangely familiar vibe she gives off.
1182. >You can’t pinpoint what it is you’re feeling about her.
  1183. >Even through a photograph.
1184. >”She’s such an amazing scientist!”
1185. >Sunny declares in a dreamy manner which broke you out of your trance.
1186. >”How do you think she continually comes up with such fascinating hypotheses?”
1187. >She then asks you and Izzy.
  1188. “Probably has no life?”
  1189. >You quickly answer back.
1190. >Not like you’re one to talk as you spend most of your free time practicing your martial arts.
1191. >”Maybe she just pours herself into her work to keep her mind off of something traumatic?”
1192. >Both you and Sunny look over to Izzy, who made the suggestion.
1193. >Izzy just shrugs her shoulders.
1194. >”That is a lot of work to pour into and there isn’t something she is trying to bury?”
1195. >That was an oddly specific answer from Izzy.
1196. >Before the conversation could continue on about Twilight Sparkle, Pipp anad Zipp both join you at your table and the conversation shifts.
1197. >When the bell rings to signal the end of lunch, you and your group start to head to your classes.
1198. >Then there was a sudden yelp from Pipp.
  1199. >”Yahh! What the hell!?”
  1200. >Pipp yells out.
1201. >You turn around to see several guys who were gathered.
  1202. >”What?”
1203. >One of the guys smugly asks.
1204. >”Why the hell did you grab my ass?”
1205. >Pipp accuses the male students.
1206. >The student in question gave off a very guilty vibe and nonchalonlty waved her off.
1207. >”Oh whatever, it’s not that big a deal, I just cupped quick feel, to test out the waters, ya know?”
  1208. >”What?” Pipp inquires further.
1209. >”You know, feel you out for when I can get with you later.”
1210. >The guy was way too easy going about this.
1211. >You notice Zipp begin to step up but you quickly grab her shoulder and hold her back.
1212. >”What the? Alana let me go-”
1213. >She stopped immediately when she noticed you stepping up to the guy.
1214. >There was a group of people stating to gather around.
1215. >The guy then takes notice of you.
1216. >”What? What seems to be your malfunction shorty?”
1217. >Without a single word, you square yourself up.
1218. >Torque you torso back and send your right back fist into the side of the guys head.
1219. >Your backfist connects with his cheek and his head quickly snaps to the side and you hear a faint popping sound come from his neck.
1220. >The guy then falls over limp and his buddies begin to back up quickly while everyone around starts to hoot and holler.
1221. >You stare directly at the other guys.
1222. “What a pussy, I barely put anything behind that strike.”
1223. >You smirk at them and then the crowd spreads apart.
1224. >You are then confronted with another guy.
1225. >”Alright alright, fun’s over folks, back to your- What the hell?”
1226. >The new person is trying to settle down the crowd when he sees the presumably unconscious body on the floor in front of him.
  1227. >The guy has a large build.
  1228. >Faded jeans.
1229. >A Canterlot High Letterman jacket with several patches on them.
1230. >Block chin that could very well be made of marble.
1231. >Short bright green hair with is caramel colored skin.
1232. >He then notices you admiring your work.
  1233. >And then deflates.
  1234. >”Again Alanamous?”
  1235. >He asks, a little annoyed.
1236. >You just smile and shrug as he goes and checks on the downed student.
1237. >The guy pulls out a walkie-talkie and messages for some help.
1238. >He lets out an exasperated sigh and then motions for you to follow him.
1239. >Which you do without hesitation.
1240. “Good to see you too, Hitch.”
  1241. >Hitch Trailblazer.
1242. >Top male athlete in the school.
  1243. >Goodie two-shoes.
1244. >And Sunny’s childhood friend as they’ve been friends since elementary school.
1245. >So you know him rather well.
1246. >He’s sometimes a part of the crew.
1247. >But half the time his duties as the school’s hall monitor has him roaming the school and trying to keep order.
1248. “I’m surprised you’re already on duty when it’s only the first day of school.”
1249. >You tell Hitch as you both walk through the hallway.
1250. >Seemingly on your way to the office.
1251. >”I volunteered to do this and I’ll honor my word.”
  1252. >He replies dully.
1253. >”So what was the reason this time?” He asks.
1254. >”He groped Pipp and insinuated there would be more to come.” You say simply. “I just nipped it in the bud to make sure it didn’t go any further than that.”
  1255. >Another sigh from Hitch.
1256. >”Look, I wouldn’t say for you to not do something about it, but going from zero to one hundred and knocking him out cold probably wouldn’t have been the first choice in my book.”
  1257. >You chuckle.
1258. “So what’s gonna happen since it’s the first day of school?”
  1259. >Hitch shakes his head.
1260. >”I mean, most likely just detention. But we have a new Principal and I’ve yet to meet her so I can’t tell you what her mindset is like.”
  1261. >This should be fun.
1262. >Principal Celestia was rather lenient with you.
1263. >Now you need to see how this new head honcho handles business.
  1264.
  1265. >Be Sunset Shimmer.
1266. >New principal of Canterlot High School.
1267. >It’s been a long road with a lot of long hours and lost sleep.
1268. >But your perseverance came through in the end.
1269. >And with a lot of help from your friends.
1270. >Here you are, sitting at your desk.
1271. >Looking over paperwork for upcoming school plans.
1272. >Including the upcoming Friendship Games.
1273. >And it looks like there hasn’t been much difference in some of the previous outcomes of the Games since your departure from the school.
1274. >With Crystal Prep having the lions share of victories.
1275. >Hopefully there is something you can do to drum up motivation for the games.
1276. >There was a knock at your door.
1277. >You look up to see the door open and an office assistant appears.
1278. >“Sorry to bother you Principal Shimmer. But we have an incident already.”
1279. >On the first day of school?
1280. “What seems to be the problem?”
  1281. >You ask with concern.
1282. >”It would appear a student has injured another student on campus.”
1283. >The assistant then hands you a file.
1284. >”And the perpetrator is a repeat offender, mind you.”
1285. >The assistant adds before they leave your office.
1286. >Then the door opens again and 2 students walk in.
  1287. >A male and a female.
  1288. >”Principal Shimmer, it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
  1289. >The male student speaks.
1290. >”I’m Hitch Trailblazer, I’m the hall monitor whose helped aided Principal Celestia in the past to keep order amongst us students.”
  1291. >You nod to Hitch.
1292. “Pleasure is all mine.” you respond sweetly.
1293. >You then look over to the other student.
1294. >A bright green girl with jet black messy hair.
1295. >A pair of tight fitting jeans and an oversize black hoodie sweater.
1296. >After a brief moment of silence, Hitch finally makes a move.
1297. >”I’ll leave it to you.” He says as he reaches the door “Hope to get acquainted soon.”
1298. >He finishes as he leaves and shuts the door behind him.
1299. >Leaving you with the female student.
1300. >After a long silence you finally break the ice.
  1301. “Good afternoon miss..”
1302. >You trail off, hoping for her to respond with her name.
1303. >”Alanamous, or Alana for short” She responds.
1304. >You then motion for her to sit in one of the chairs in front of your desk.
1305. >She does as told and casually drops her backpack at the side of her chair.
1306. >A loud thud echos around your office.
1307. “That sounds pretty heavy.” You try to strike small conversation with her.
1308. >She then plops down in her seat.
1309. >”I don’t like using school lockers, I prefer to carry all my books with me.”
1310. >She then lightly taps her thighs.
1311. >”Helps keep my legs strong.”
  1312. >Interesting.
1313. “So, care to tell me what happened out there?”
1314. >Alana then just leans back into her seat.
1315. >”Some douchebag groped another female student and talked about getting ready for later so I put an end to that thought before it could happen.”
  1316. >You nod.
  1317. >You take a deep breath.
1318. “Now, while defending another female student from sexual harassment is admirable, especially if it’s in the school.” you pause and take the file and open it. Resorting to violence off the get go isn’t the best way to go about things.”
1319. >You flip through the various pages in the file.
1320. >Which all seem to be her previous violations.
1321. >You look back up to Alan who is just rolling her eyes.
1322. “Is there a problem with what I said?”
  1323. >You ask her.
1324. >”Slightly.” She quickly responds. “While words are fine and all with old people like you, some of these hound dogs around here don’t get the message unless it is slapped across their face.”
  1325. >You’re not old!
1326. >You clear your throat and continue to look through her files.
1327. >Various incidents where she has injured students.
1328. “Look I’m all for helping a friend in need bu-”
1329. >You were quickly cut off by Alana.
  1330. >”She wasn’t my friend.”
  1331. >Alana insists.
1332. >That stern comment from her took you aback.
1333. “But..” You start but again she speaks up before you could continue.
1334. >”They’re just people who hover around me.”
  1335. >…
1336. >You think she might be in denial.
  1337. >This could be a root cause.
1338. >You then look at the front page of her file and read about her.
  1339. >Alanamous R Incognito.
  1340. >Incognito.
1341. >You’ve heard that last name somewhere.
  1342. >You read further.
1343. >And it says her legal guardians are her grandparents.
1344. >Wheels are starting to turn in your head.
  1345. “Um.”
1346. >You try to be as careful as you can.
1347. “Would you care to tell me a little bit about your home life?”
  1348. >Alana looks suspicious.
1349. >”What do you want to know?”
1350. “Like if you have any relationship with your parents?”
  1351. >Slip of the tongue.
  1352. >You shut up immediately.
  1353. >Surprisingly Alana answers you.
1354. >”What relationship with my parents? My dad died before I was even born and my mom may as well be dead too.”
  1355. >Dead father.
1356. >Knows nothing of her mother.
  1357. >Green skin.
  1358. >Black hair.
  1359. >Last name Incognito
1360. >You look back up to her and into her eyes.
  1361. >Moderate violet.
  1362. >Oh.
  1363. >Oh no.
  1364. >Oh no no no.
1365. >Has it been that many years?
1366. >She is now giving you this weird look.
1367. >And you are starting to get nervous.
  1368. >”Are… you okay?”
  1369. >She suspiciously asks you.
  1370. >You clear your throat.
1371. “S-sorry! I was just lost in thought!”
1372. >You quickly try to recover. “L-look, it’s the first day of school, and I know you were defending a fr-” You pause. “you were defending someone, and I know you have a history of aggressiveness,”
1373. >You pause one last time.
1374. “But I will let this incident slide just this ONE time!”
1375. >You say with a new found authority in your voice.
1376. >You then immediately get up from your seat and motion for Alana to leave your office.
  1377. >”Uh…, Okay?”
1378. >Alana seems confused as she takes her bag and makes her way out of your office.
1379. >Once she is out of your office you see her off.
1380. “Remember! If you end up in my office again! I won’t go easy again!”
1381. >You yell out to her as you see her walk off into the schooled.
1382. >You then close your door and lock it.
1383. >Slowly, you make your way back to your desk and just fall into your chair and let out a deep hefty sigh.
  1384. >Alanamous.
  1385. >Anon and Twilight’s kid.
  1386. >You can’t believe it’s been sixteen years.
1387. >You remember seeing it in Twi’s mind before she went abroad to “study” all those years ago.
1388. >She was forced into secrecy over the whole ordeal.
1389. >Even after the child was born. Twilight refused to speak to anyone about it.
1390. >In fact, after the birth, Twilight seemed more distant and constantly buried herself in her studies and work.
1391. >Once in a great while she would hang out with the rest of the gang but she seemed different.
1392. >You still keep in touch with her of course.
1393. >You then pull your phone out.
  1394. >And scroll down to Twilight’s number.
  1395. >Contemplating.
1396. >You haven’t actually spoken to her in a few years.
1397. >But you do know she’s been extremely busy with her work.
1398. >Then you start to wonder if Twilight even wants to be reminded that she has a daughter who now attends Canterlot High.
1399. >You put your phone down and look back into Alana’s file.
1400. >All of her grades were amazing.
  1401. >Straight A’s.
1402. >Always on the top of the student body rankings.
1403. >She’d be more represented by the school if she didn’t have such behavioral problems.
1404. >Even her athletic accomplishments were outstanding.
1405. >State champion last two years.
  1406. >Top competitor.
1407. >Seems like she got the best of both Anon and Twilight.
1408. >You look back at your phone.
  1409. >Perhaps, if anything.
1410. >It would, at the very least, be good to catch up with Twilight Sparkle.
1411. >You pick up your phone.
  1412. >Tap on Twilight’s number.
  1413. >And hit dial.
