  1. An Odyssey by Pan
  2. (Cup Cake / Pinkie)
  3. F/F, hoof, otk, semi-consensual
  4.
  5. (07/08/2014)
  6.
  7.
  8. ---
  9.
  10. Free at last! Pinkie had been grounded for the last week. For an active, playful pony like herself, groundings were agonizing. Hardly any going outside and definitely no visiting her friends. If the Cakes were feeling nice, they'd let her buy supplies and bring them back to the store. Pinkie Pie could not complain too much about the way her pseudo-adoptive parents treated her; she was only grounded if she did something wrong. Besides, living under their supervision kept her from having to get a higher-paying and less fun job.
  11.
  12. Pinkie hadn't talked to many ponies outside of work for the past week. She headed out for Sweet Apple Acres to break her silence.
  13.
  14. >I'm getting tired of all this grounding business.
  15. >Solitary confinement is especially unfair when you're as duo-tary as me!
  16. >Boy, would I like to never have to be grounded again.
  17. >But the only way that's going to happen is if I never break the rules ever again.
  18. *Sigh*
  19. >It's hopeless.
  20. >Maybe some apples will cheer me up. Or maybe some Apples. Note to brain: that first "apple" was in lower case.
  21.
  22. Pinkie made her way to the farm and knocked on the door to the Apple residence. Applejack greeted her at the door.
  23.
  24. >"Hey, AJ."
  25. >"Oh, hi, Pinkie Pie! It's been a while."
  26. >"I'll say. I missed talking to you and Twilight and Rarity and Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy and Apple Bloom and Cheerilee and-"
  27. >"I think I get the picture, Pinkie. What can I do ya for?"
  28. >"You don't have a super secret stash of sweet cider for sale, do you?
  29. >"'fraid not. But as always I do sell apples."
  30. >"Alll-righty, a bag of apples would be nice too! I don't mean to imply that the only good thing you sell is cider! Gosh, no!"
  31. Applejack subtly rolled her eyes.
  32. >"Did I miss anything over the last week?"
  33. >"Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash went on an adventure. Fluttershy didn't wanna talk about it. I haven't seen Rainbow yet to ask why."
  34. >"As long as R-to-the-Dashy-Dash was with her, I'm sure she was fine. What a worrier. Do you think I worry?"
  35. >"Uh......"
  36. The infinity of Pinkie's personality extended in all directions in Applejack's mind. No single word could describe Pinkie Pie. It's a wonder her parents decided two would be enough.
  37.
  38. >"No, not really."
  39.
  40. Applejack went into her pantry and came back with a bag of shiny, red, and fresh apples.
  41.
  42. >"Here are your apples. ... Thank-you! Pleasure doin' business with ya."
  43. >"You too, Applejack."
  44.
  45. >Are you supposed to wash these before you eat them?
  46. >Who cares! Not me! I'm too hungry to follow the rules!
  47. Ninety percent of her brain was devoted to enjoying the delicious apple. Food didn't taste as good in the big house.
  48. >Even if it was just for a week.
  49. But the other ten percent was pondering boring, responsible stuff.
  50. >You know, Pinkie, it's choices like these that get you into messes like those.
  51. >Those? Be quiet, brain, I'm eating. NOM NOM NOM I can't hear you
  52. >Those as in, those seven days that you spent cooped up. Not moving. Like you were part of a recipe that said "let Pinkie set for a week. Add boredom."
  53. >I guess my brain does have a point. Lemme finish this and I'll get right back to it.
  54. (GULP)
  55. >All better! Now, what am I supposed to do? Staying out of trouble is NOT going to happen.
  56. >Right. But what if you could convince Mr. and Mrs. Cake to not ground you anymore?
  57. >But there's no way they'd just *stop* punishing me altogether.
  58. >Maybe there's some other discipline that would work better?
  59.
  60. Pinkie Pie changed course for the Ponyville Public Library. Twilight wasn't home, but Spike was eager to help.
  61.
  62. >"Spike! How is my favorite dragon doing?"
  63. >"I'm awesome, Pinkie Pie! I love when people ask me that!"
  64. >"If you're awesome, then I'm awesome! I love seeing happy dragons, happy ponies, even happy flowers!"
  65. Spike blinked twice.
  66. >"Spike, where would I find books on raising children? The Cakes are wondering."
  67. >"Child rearing. Easy. Riiiight..."
  68. He pivoted 70 degrees in place and pointed.
  69. >"There."
  70. >"Thanks, Spike."
  71. Pinkie grabbed three books on the subject and left.
  72. >"See ya later, Spike!"
  73. >"Bye... Pinkie."
  74. Spike trailed off, as Pinkie was long-gone.
  75.
  76. While she was working at Sugar Cube Corner, whenever she had nothing else to do, she read.
  77.
  78. >"Chapters. Deciding to have a foal... baby names... oh, silly me. Wrong section. Let's try for ponies who are potty-trained. 'Of time-outs and troublemakers'. Yep, sounds like the chapter I should read."
  79.
  80. >The methods we discuss can be placed into two groups: mental punishments and physical punishments. While the current trend is to give children exclusively mental punishments, we feel the reason behind the shift is flawed. Nonphysical punishments can be just as scarring as corporal ones. Heed this advice and you shall not be led astray: be fair and have compassion. No matter how you discipline your child, you must not be cruel.
  81.
  82. >Time-Out
  83. >"Bore-ing! What is the time out equivalent of being grounded? Standing in the corner for an hour every day for three months? No thank you. Besides, time-outs are basically just shorter versions of groundings anyway."
  84.
  85. >Grounding
  86. >An astute reader will notice that the procedure for groundings matches closely with the time-out procedure. We expect most parents' use of time outs to dwindle over time as their children grow. Groundings are a more meaningful punishment for a teenager than a time out. For a foal, 30 minutes is an eternity. For a mare or stallion, that time passes quickly.
  87. >"Ha! I'm astute! I should be the pony writing the books around here. I don't need more info on groundings, that's for sure."
  88.
  89. >Spanking
  90. >What was once the only socially acceptable way to discipline a naughty foal has seriously fallen out of fashion. Studies showing its harmful long-term effects have now been published for decades. Critics point to such lovely statistics for corporally punished ponies as:
  91. >Higher risk of incarceration
  92. >Lower intelligence quotients (IQs)
  93. >Increased likelihood of violence
  94.
  95. >Despite this information, some parents, and surprisingly, their children, continue to advocate for red bottoms in lieu of grounded bottoms. They (rightly) note that spanking's ease means lackluster parents might rely on it as a crutch. No surprise, they say, that bad parents raise bad kids, spankings or no. One can ignore the parents' arguments because of their privileged position of authority. (Their natural aversion to being told they are raising their children improperly must be made clear as well). On the other hoof, we find the foals, fillies, and colts still under spankings' dominion make a compelling case for considering spanking as an alternative to, or supplement for, traditional groundings.
  96. >They start by conceding that spanking does not work for everypony. If a parent feels strongly uncomfortable taking a pony over their knee or bending their child over a sofa, it's not likely that they can be persuaded otherwise. But if a pony doesn't like to be spanked, these hardy fillies and colts laugh it off: you're not *supposed* to like it, silly! One colt we spoke with said this:
  97. >If you asked me five minutes after my mom tanned my hide if I liked spankings, I'd call you crazy and say of course not. But on the days I haven't been spanked, I can recognize that they have their place. My parents love me. My mom spanks me because she cares about me, and doesn't want me to grow up to be a jerk. And I'm not just saying that because if I don't, she'll spank me some more! [laughs]
  98. >The general consensus among the ponies we spoke to who accepted being occasionally turned head-under-hooves over a parental knee was this: groundings take too much time out of a young pony's life. Everypony knows if you're grounded and can't come out to play, but a spanking can sometimes be kept secret. The only time a pony is guaranteed to be outed as a spanking victim is when the spanking is happening and a friend inquires as to their whereabouts. A vague statement, "she can't come to the door right now," might tip off somepony with a brain, or worse, "she's getting a spanking," would leave nothing to the imagination.
  99. >Beyond this mostly objective value assessment, they also subjectively enjoy the bonding that their parents give them over the course of a spanking. When the spanking is over, they are hugged and told that they are forgiven. A lot of the ponies we researched come from active, outdoor-loving families. They claim it's reasonable that a pony from an active family would want to be as active as possible rather than run out the clock indoors. And as much as they would wish they weren't disciplined at all, the only way for them to get out-
  100.
  101. A timer dinged. Pinkie finished reading the sentence then resumed her work duties.
  102. >of a grounding is to compress the emotional hardship of a grounding into the span of a half-hour, and solely onto the bare bottom.
  103.
  104. She had time to think. That's why she liked this job.
  105. >Getting your butt beaten? I don't know...
  106. She frosted a batch of cupcakes.
  107. >Anything would have to be better than being grounded, especially for me.
  108. Another unbaked two-dozen cupcakes into the oven. She hit herself on the rump as hard as she could.
  109. >Ow! ... Red bottom? Whatever. My lovable tushie's already pink. How bad could it be?
  110. >I'll sleep on it.
  111.
  112. ...
  113.
  114. Her mind was made up. She mulled over the pros and cons for two days, and decided that she would ask the Cakes to consider spanking her instead of grounding her. And there was always the possibility that the Cakes would decline and the status quo would be kept.
  115.
  116. She left a letter and the book (opened to the spanking chapter) on the family's kitchen table. She was spending the day with Twilight; that would give them time to process it.
  117.
  118. >Dear Mr. and Mrs. Cake,
  119. >I don't want to sound rude or ungrateful for you lending me a helping hoof. We all know that I still get in trouble from time to time. The punishment you choose is to ground me. You know how miserable it makes me. The purpose of a punishment is to make a guilty pony feel remorse. Cutting her off from all her friends is not required. My question for you two wonderful ponies is "if there was another way to discipline me other than grounding, would you try it?"
  120. >I hope the answer is yes. This book from the library explains an alternative to groundings. I was just as surprised as you probably are right now when I read about it. The more I thought and read, the more the idea made sense. There are ponies just like me somewhere in Equestria who are subject to corporal punishment. The book says some of them are very active; they get spanked and then are free to visit friends or whatever else they want to do.
  121. >I'm not asking for a lighter punishment and I know that I deserve all that I get. This parenting book claims that it's possible to take all the pain I feel over a week-long grounding and inflict it upon me in under an hour. That does not sound fun to me! It's a real punishment, not to be taken lightly. Consider it if you please!
  122. >Love,
  123. >Pinkie Pie
  124.
  125. Mr. Cake saw the letter first.
  126. >"Cup, would you look at this? It's from Pinkie Pie."
  127. They read it at the same time. Mrs. Cake finished reading first and then read some of the book while she waited. Carrot caught up.
  128. >"Well, that was interesting and strange."
  129. >"What do you think it means, Carrot?"
  130. >"I'm unsure. Do we take it at face value?"
  131. >"Are you saying Pinkie is some kind of deviant?"
  132. >"No, I guess not. She's too naive. But isn't she a bit old to be spanked like a bratty filly, Cup?"
  133. >"Let's run through the checklist. She still lives with adults who care about her. She still gets in trouble, adorable as she is. She still recognizes our authority and accepts our groundings. In the last month both you and I have said she was acting like a little filly. It seems to me if she wants to be spanked, she otherwise fits the demographic for it."
  134. >"Were you ever spanked?"
  135. >"No, sweetie, I never was. It sounds dreadful."
  136. >"I was. In elementary school I was put over the teacher's knee during recess for blowing spitballs. They called me carrot-butt for a week."
  137. >"Oh, my."
  138. >"Spankings were a way of life back then, especially for colts. At the fair I was running around and I accidentally collided into a littler filly. She fell down and started crying. I told her mom it was an accident, but-."
  139. He blushed.
  140. >"What, dear?"
  141. >"I got a hoof spanking all the same, in front of everypony. Getting my backside reddened by somepony I didn't even know. Parents could do that in those days. If you were a parent, you were part of the club. Some colt or filly wrongs you, you have the right to give them a few hard pats on the butt. And that right also meant that if one of yours crossed a line for somepony else, they had the same choice you had."
  142. >"The problem is, did you grow up to be a successful and well-adjusted pony because of your spankings or in spite of them?"
  143. >"Nopony can know for sure, but I think they did a lot of good. Colts these days think they can walk all over everypony. It was never like that before. Of course, I never liked getting them.
  144. Mrs. Cake lightly tapped her husband's rear. Mr. Cake winced.
  145. >"I can imagine why."
  146. >"A-anyway, that filly's mom made me stay with her until she found my mom. When we finally did, I'm still a little sniffly and back there is still red. She makes me explain to my mom what happened, and my mom tells me to apologize to them, and slaps my behind to encourage me! That just reignited everything and made me more sniffly for my apology. The mom loved it. *Sigh* Yet I always remembered that day. Since then I've been more careful where I run."
  147. >"So the spanking worked?"
  148. >"I would say so."
  149. Cup Cake concentrated on what she had heard. Everything was changing so fast. She furrowed her brow.
  150. >"The way you put it, it sounds like we should give this a shot."
  151. >"If Pinkie says groundings aren't working for her, let's indulge her. Groundings probably would have worked just as well with me as a colt. But I've always been a little less wound up than our favorite surrogate daughter."
  152. Mrs. Cake returned to her default expression: all smiles.
  153. >"Your approval is all I needed. We'll talk with her about it when she gets home."
  154.
  155. The Cakes checked their inventory, baked what was needed for the next day, and attended to their children. Pinkie Pie returned home in time for dinner.
  156. >"Hi, Mr. and Mrs. Cake! How was your day?"
  157. >"Just splendid, Pinkie Pie. How is Twilight lately?"
  158. >"She's so much fun to hang out with! Do either of you need help with dinner?"
  159. She asked questions like that occasionally; tonight she was on her best behavior. She was asking a lot of her host family.
  160. >"Thank you for asking, Pinkie. Just get cleaned up and set the table. It's almost ready. At dinner we can talk about your note."
  161. Pinkie went cold and stood still. Were they mad at her? Was she going to have to see a psychologist?
  162. >Will they disown me? Act natural, Pinkie. Just wash your hooves. What if they liked the note? What if they liked it so much they decided to spank me tonight? That would be HORRIBLE!
  163. She paused and realized just how much of a punishment this must be.
  164.
  165. Hooves washed and shaken "dry" (to fully dry them would take too much time), Pinkie put out three plates and three cups and sat down. She nervously tapped her hooves together as she waited for dinner to be served.
  166. Finally, the Cakes joined her. The family expressed how thankful they were that they were all healthy and had enough food to eat (a tradition in the house), and began eating.
  167.
  168. >"Soooo..... What did you think of my note?"
  169. >"It was a good note, Pinkie. We were surprised at first."
  170. Pinkie Pie's ears drooped and she started to frown.
  171. >"But Cup and I are willing to try it if you are."
  172. Her ears went erect.
  173. >"I think I am."
  174. >"We're glad you said that. In case this doesn't work out, we'd like to start with a trial period. If in two months we don't want to continue spanking you, discipline around here will go back to normal."
  175. >"Whatever you two want is fine with me. It's a big step."
  176. >"It's a big step for you, too, young filly. It's going to take some courage to bend over and accept your whacks like a good girl."
  177. Pinkie squirmed in her seat.
  178. >"After dinner, let's work out an informal contract. Something like this should have careful consideration from all parties."
  179.
  180. ...
  181.
  182. >"Let's all read it. Is this contract fair?"
  183. >We agree that Pinkie Pie will be disciplined using corporal punishment for a period of two months following the date on this contract. Talking back, neglecting chores or work, and getting herself or other ponies into unsafe situations are fair reasons to spank Pinkie Pie. These reasons are not exhaustive. If Mr. or Mrs. Cake tells Pinkie Pie to submit to a spanking, she must do so immediately and without question. Both Cup Cake and Carrot Cake have the right to spank Pinkie Pie. Failure to uphold any clause of this contract may be grounds for additional punishment.
  184. They all signed the contract.
  185. >"You'd better watch yourself, little filly."
  186. >"Oh, I will! I hope I never have to get spanked."
  187. >"We hope we never have to spank you. Just do what you're told and your butt can stay pink forever."
  188.
  189. As much as they all hoped Pinkie Pie would act like an adult forever, she slipped up three weeks into the trial period. Even before that time, there were close calls.
  190.
  191. >"Keep that attitude up, missy, and I'll have to put that spanking contract to the test."
  192.
  193. >"If I can't get through to you, I'll be making your bottom translate what I'm saying into a language you can understand."
  194.
  195. This time was different. Pinkie messed up an order for an important client, and instead of asking for help, she tried to fix it by herself, which ruined even more of the batch. Pinkie and the Cakes had to work through the night to get the order done properly and on time.
  196.
  197. Having just worked overtime for much longer than intended, all three of them took the day off. One of the perks of owning your own business. The Cake parents had to wake up occasionally to deal with their foals, but other than that, it was a quiet day. Once everypony came to their senses after a full day's sleep, it was only a few hours until sunset, and the day's stillness would not last into the evening.
  198.
  199. A family meeting called by Mr. Cake.
  200. >"Pinkie Pie, we need to talk."
  201. Mrs. Cake was furious.
  202. >"What do you have to say for yourself, young filly?"
  203. >"Oh, Mrs. Cake, I'm so, so sorry! It won't ever happen again."
  204. >"That much is a given, missy."
  205. >"Let's run through what happened. Through no fault of our own, one of our employees made a mistake on an important order."
  206. >"And rather than ask her bosses for help, like a responsible, grown mare, she hid her mistakes like a little filly."
  207. >"When she tried to make things better on her own, she actually ruined the order even more."
  208. >"And because this client is soooo important to the business, her bosses worked overtime with her all through the night, rather than firing her on the spot."
  209.
  210. >"I'm s-sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Cake. I really am."
  211.
  212. >"Sorry isn't gonna cut it, Pinkamena Diane Pie."
  213. Pinkie's ears drooped as much as they physically could. She hadn't been called that in years - not since she was in really big trouble. Which meant...
  214. >"It's going to take a LOT of work on your part to make it up to us, Ms. Pie."
  215. >Ms. Pie? That's a new one. Not a good one. More like a new rash than a brand spanking new bicycle.
  216. >That might be too on-point.
  217. >"And most importantly-- Pinkie Pie? Are you listening to me?"
  218. >"Um..."
  219. >"That proves you have the right idea. Just get to the point, dear. She's acting like a little filly; time to treat her like one."
  220. >"Alrighty, Pinkie Pie, I have a contract with me that all three of us signed."
  221. Pinkie's eyes darted to the floor and stayed there. Mrs. Cake read from the contract.
  222. >"Neglecting chores or work are fair reasons to spank Pinkie Pie."
  223. Her butt clenched. This would not be good.
  224. >"Pinkie Pie, you asked for a firmer hoof in your discipline and now you're going to get it. Take the chair from the hallway and put it into our bedroom, on the double."
  225. >"Yes, but-"
  226. >"NOW, Pinkie!"
  227. Mrs. Cake slapped her on the rear and Pinkie Pie galloped upstairs.
  228.
  229. Carrot Cake clarified his role in all this.
  230. >"Honey, would you like me to do this? Do you want any help?"
  231. >"I'll be fine, dear. You can look at my hoofiwork after the deed is done, and if you have anything to add, you may be my guest."
  232. >"Sounds good, Cup. Why don't I just stay down here with the foals?"
  233. She was already halfway up the stairs.
  234. >"Okay. See you soon."
  235. Then she was out of sight.
  236.
  237. Mrs. Cake entered the bedroom and took control immediately.
  238. >"Pinkie, you know why I'm here. Get up."
  239. There would be no incorrect notions of who was in charge here. Pinkie vacated the sturdy wooden chair she was sitting on. Cup Cake sat down on it.
  240. >"I'm done playing games, Pinkie Pie. You've been warned over and over. So now I need you to bend across my lap and take this spanking like a good filly."
  241.
  242. She did what she was told. Mrs. Cake had a fidgety, almost grown-up mare across her lap, as ready as she would ever be to receive her first spanking in however many years. Mrs. Cake didn't know how many - was Pinkie spanked as a young filly on the rock farm? Cup's anger at Pinkie's incompetence would ensure this would be a memorable debut. But she would not spank in anger. She was calm. Disappointed, yet calm. She had plenty of time to think about whether this was the appropriate punishment, and--
  243. >"M-Mrs. Cake? Have you forgotten about me?"
  244. >Right, the filly across my lap. Let's just make one adjustment-
  245. She put her left hoof over Pinkie's back and tail, to stop her from moving around too much. She would be free to kick and whine as much as she wanted. Pinkie would feel more like a little foal when all her bellyaching didn't change anything about the spanking.
  246. >I've done some reading since we signed that contract, Pinkie. I know how this should be done, to make you sorry.
  247. >"One last question, ma'am."
  248. >"Yes, Pinkie?"
  249. >"Shouldn't Mr. Cake be the one doing this? Since he has more experience with spankings 'n all."
  250. (SMACK)
  251. The hoof-spanking began.
  252. >"I think you'll find that I'm just as good at giving spankings as I need to be, Pinkie. And you're in no position to bargain. Just look at which pony is bent over which other pony's lap right now."
  253. (SPANK) (SPANK)
  254. >"Ow! You're right, Mrs. Cake."
  255. She brought her hoof onto the naughty backside again.
  256. >"I'm sorry I ever -wow that hurts- doubted you-aaaah!"
  257. The conversation wasn't fair, but neither was the spanking. Mrs. Cake's bottom would still be in full working order by the end of this.
  258. >"I take it back, Mrs. Cake! Oooh. This is starting to hurt, ma'am. Please don't do this."
  259. Yet Mrs. Cake had worked into a rhythm and it would take more than too-little-too-late complaining from the victim to get her to stop.
  260. >"Pinkie, you know better than to try to weasel your way out of chores. And-"
  261. (Mrs. Cake quickened her pace)
  262. >"To. me. this. is. just. a. routine. chore!"
  263. Each word was paired with a resounding smack onto Pinkie's unprotected rear-end.
  264. >I think she's getting the message.
  265. Sure enough, there were blotches of red, bright as an evening sunset, on Mrs. Cake's protege.
  266. >"Let me be CLEAR!"
  267.
  268. Pinkie Pie kicked her legs individually, as if she could run away if only she could swing them a little harder.
  269. >"We love you, and we love that you live here and help around the shop. BUT!"
  270. Kicking uselessly or not, Mrs. Cake had Pinkie firmly pinned down with her front leg. Pinkie's butt was still pointed skyward and her head was still barely above the floor. Quite a compromising position for a filly her age.
  271. >"We will NOT tolerate any shenanigans out of you!"
  272. >"I'm sorryyyyyyyy!"
  273. Pinkie managed to get her repeated apology out in-between sharp swats to her fanny and the corresponding sharp scolding, both supplied by the big, blue pony mercilessly beating her backside. Tears dripped down Pinkie's face and into a small wet spot on the wooden floor.
  274. >"We used to GROUND you. But you asked for a CHANGE, and here it IS!"
  275. More tears and moaning from the victim.
  276. >"Already, I can see this punishment is getting. through. to. you."
  277. Pinkie was done speaking. She could only sob. Her butt felt like it was on fire. She never imagined an old-fashioned spanking would hurt this much.
  278. >"Naughty fillies get their butts SPANKED, Pinkie. It's time you LEARNED that, and it's time we HELPED you learn that."
  279. Mrs. Cake admired the scene in the mirror up against the opposite wall. There Pinkie was, dangling over her lap and wriggling about like the naughty filly she was. There Mrs. Cake was, towering over her and applying much-needed correction to her behind. But the wetness in Pinkie's eyes and the redness of her rump meant this punishment had done the job.
  280.
  281. Pinkie got in a few choice heaves and sobs as she braced for whatever the next impact would be.
  282. >"Next time, Pinkie, you should come to us when you're having problems. It's what a responsible mare would do. Understand?"
  283. Deep breaths from Pinkie. Was Mrs. Cake done? Could she find the strength to say *anything*?
  284. >"Yes, ma'am."
  285. She tried to mitigate all the snot that was forming. It was making it harder to speak.
  286. >"Good. Take as much time as you need up here to recover, then come downstairs."
  287. (WHAP)
  288. >"Your spanking is over."
  289. Pinkie cried on her lap for 30 seconds. Mrs. Cake relaxed her hold of Pinkie's tail and back.
  290. >"Pinkie, I've read that rubbing your butt after a spanking can make the victim feel better."
  291. Before she could muster up a response, Mrs. Cake's motherly instincts were already at work. Mrs. Cake reached onto the plump rump that she had so thoroughly damaged moments ago, and began massaging it.
  292. >"Hey!"
  293. She blushed at this unwanted contact. But Pinkie Pie loosened her tense body almost immediately, and it was clearly hastening the recovery.
  294. >"Th-thanks..."
  295. >"No problem, Pinkie Pie. I still love you."
  296. She cooed. This was cooing. Two babies in the house weren't enough? And all the while she gently rubbed Pinkie's bottom.
  297. >"I love you too, Mrs. Cake..."
  298. >"Do you want to take it from here? Can you get up?"
  299. >"Yes ma'am."
  300. Mrs. Cake slowly pushed Pinkie off, and she was on her feet soon enough.
  301. >"Alright. Mr. Cake and I will be downstairs whenever you're ready."
  302. On her way out, Mrs. Cake looked back to see Pinkie Pie rubbing her hindquarters and looking at them in the mirror.
  303. >I really did a number on her...
  304. She wondered if the lessons she was learning today could apply to her biological children in a few years.
  305.
  306. 20 minutes later, Pinkie made her way downstairs. Having heard the creak of the stairway, both Cakes were ready at the bottom to greet and hug her.
  307.
  308. >"You were very brave, Pinkie Pie."
  309. >"I heard all about it. Let me see what my wife did to you. ... Oh my! You're a strong filly, Pinkie Pie! If she was in charge when I was your age, I'd tread a lightly as a butterfly. Wow, that looks rough."
  310. >"Thanks, you two."
  311.
  312. >"Pinkie, unfortunately we still need to clean up what's left of our mess from last night. If we work together, it will go faster."
  313. >"Okie-dokie!"
  314. She seemed to be back to her old self. Hopefully, a little wiser. They split up the duties and delegated. Pinkie was on floor washing duty, partially because she had a spry, young body, and partially because, well...
  315. To properly scrub hardy stains out from the floor, one must bend over. Though Pinkie's tail blocked some of the view, Mr. Cake could still provide whispered commentary to his wife.
  316. >"Excellent work, dear. Remind me never to cross you."
  317. >"Thank you. Although I worry if this may have lasting effects on her psyche."
  318. >"Oh, please. I was spanked loads of times. No lasting effects to speak of. But I certainly wouldn't mind whacking your rear every now and then."
  319. He gave Mrs. Cake's butt a very light pat.
  320.
  321. >"Hey, Pinkie! Now that it's all over, what do you think of our contract?"
  322.
  323. She trotted over, dragging a soapy rag under a front hoof.
  324.
  325. >"Well, at first I was apprehensive... then I was mortified... then I was terrified... then I wondered if it would ever end... and then it did! And then I decided I never wanted another spanking ever again!"
  326. >"That's for us to decide, Pinkie Pie."
  327. >"Oh, I know! But I can try my hardest to be good from now on! I do not want any repeat performances of tonight!"
  328. >"So the spanking worked, Pinkie Pie?"
  329. Her eyes shifted left and right. Would they notice if she lied? Did she want to be spanked?
  330. >That's no way to look at it, silly. Did I ever *want* to be grounded?
  331. >"Um, yes, I think it did. My tushie still hurts though."
  332. She was free. Groundings took forever. Horrible as spankings were, Pinkie Pie preferred physical punishment.
  333. >"Yes, it's like that after a spanking. I speak from experience. Stay strong, young filly."
  334.
  335. END
