Caring for Rainbow

                                            A soft warmth and the glow of dawn through the window slowly roused you from sleep. As you blinked open your eyes, the first thing you saw was Rainbow Dash's peaceful sleeping face just inches from your own. Her rainbow mane was tousled from sleep, strands of rose and azure and violet cascading over the pillow. Her chest rose and fell gently with each breath, the morning light giving her cyan coat a soft, luminous quality.

                                            Careful not to wake her just yet, you gazed at your sky blue marefriend and thought about how lucky you were to share these quiet, tender moments together. Rainbow Dash mumbled in her sleep, something about clearing the skies, and shifted, her face briefly scrunching in discomfort. Her eyes then fluttered open, and she gave you a sleepy smile that made your heart melt.

                                            "Morning." Rainbow Dash yawned widely, her pointed teeth flashing. She stretched out her forelegs with a groan. "Ugh...I think I overdid it with stunt practice yesterday. My wings and back are so sore!"

                                            You clucked your tongue sympathetically, running a hand along her side and feeling knots in her muscle. "I'm sorry to hear that, Dashie. Would you like me to give you a massage? I've gotten pretty good at working out those muscle knots."

                                            Rainbow Dash's eyes lit up with relief and gratitude. "Would you? That sounds amazing right about now." She rolled onto her stomach, folding her forelegs under her chin and spreading her wings to give you access.

                                            You started with her wings, gently massaging the joints where they met her sides, then along the length of each wing. Rainbow Dash sighed blissfully, tension visibly leaving her body as you smoothed tightness in her shoulder blades and loosened stiff pinions and coverts.

                                            "Ooooh, right there. That feels incredible." Rainbow Dash murmured. You moved down to her upper back, finding the sensitive spots along her spine and applying firm pressure. Rainbow Dash arched her back appreciatively, encouraging you to continue.

                                            You worked slowly downwards, easing knots and massaging toned muscle in circles and swirls. By the time you reached her lower back, Rainbow Dash was breathing slowly and deeply, her eyes closed in relaxation. She mumbled pleasurably as you ran your hands over her cutie marks, exploring the unique dappling of colors.


                                            You continued the massage down her legs, paying extra attention to her hocks and stifles which bore the brunt of her high-speed aerial acrobatics. Rainbow Dash's hooves twitched as you hit sensitive areas, but she remained blissfully asleep, lulled by your gentle ministrations.

                                            You finally stopped, pulled the quilt up over Rainbow Dash's sleeping form and planted a soft kiss on her cheek. "Sweet dreams, Dashie. I love you."

                                            Rainbow Dash mumbled in her sleep, a smile curving her lips. "Love you too...so much..."

                                            You left her to rest, hoping your massage had eased her discomfort and knowing that she would return the favor someday soon. Your quiet moments together, caring for each other, were what made your relationship so special. With Rainbow Dash by your side, every new day was an adventure.
