Fatquestria: Weight Scale

Expiry: Never

  1. Coming out of "retirement" to dump some stupid shit I got inspiration for after however many months or years of nothing.
  2.
  3. This system is built on Fatquestria. If normal Equestria has average adult weights of 125 (pegasi) through 350 (earth pony) pounds (unknown for alicorns), assume a +30% increase in weight for each stage in Fatquestria.
  4. Normal | Probably considered obese by old standards, but considered a regular, healthy weight now. Generally capable of handling any actions they previously would have handled. Pegasi are generally less athletic.
  5. Pudgy | Arguably an archaic category, as the small amount of extra fat over the average is less easy to place when everyone but traditionalists are fat.
  6. Chubby | Sufficiently fatter than average for it to be visibly noticeable at a glance, but typically not enough to impact physical fitness.
  7. Fat | A stage past chubby. Beyond being heavier and fatter, this is the stage where an average health pony begins to experience negative impacts on physical fitness and mobility. Think of it like the difference in being able to walk a mile, and in being able to walk a mile, but being sweaty and a little winded.
  8. Overweight | Fitness impact reaches the level where walking a mile leaves the pony very sweaty and out of breath.
  9. Obese | For most body types, the belly hangs a bit beneath the knees. Fitness impact still allows the pony to finish walking a mile, but they are drenched in sweat, panting, wheezing a little, sore, and with a pace that declines over distance.
  10. Very obese | For most body types, the belly hangs halfway between the knees and the ankles. Fitness impact is such that the pony can only barely finish walking a mile without rest, but will be in a concerning medical state: Drenched in sweat, wheezing, coughing and spitting out mucus, in severe pain, may collapse at the end. They will be fine after some rest and hydration, perhaps some painkillers. Pacing of the mile walk starts off slow and only gets slower.
  11. Overbese | For most body types, the belly reaches the ankles. Fitness impact is such that completing a mile's walk without breaks is no longer possible. The more athletic types of this size can get most of the way while mirroring the Obese and Very obese classes (transitioning from the former to the latter over time). Typically, they can make it shortly past halfway before being forced to stop by collapsing on the spot. With breaks and rehydration, they can make the whole trip in over an hour.
  12. Massive | For most body types, the belly now reaches the ground at all times. Its point of contact is centered, meaning its impact on mobility is relatively low - compared to the later stages. They can generally reach a maximum of a third of a mile before collapsing, and can complete a mile with breaks and hydration in over two hours.
  13. Blorp | For most body types, the belly reaches the ground at all times. Its point of contact is now wide enough to get in the way of leg movement. This is the final stage that can complete a mile, with multiple breaks, clocking in over 3 hours.
  14. Enormous | For most body types, the belly reaches the ground at all times. Its point of contact is now wider than the rest of the body. At this size, all but earth ponies are incapable of completing a mile even with assistance, such as laying on a cart, flat scooter, or wagon and using their now-relatively-unburdened legs to propel themselves. Generally, even for pleasurable acts such as acquiring food, ponies reaching this size will rarely travel more than a block or two, or rural equivalent thereof, with assistance vehicles, and will struggle moving around the space of their own home on their own. It is still plausible to take long-distance trips, as long as the personal propulsion distance remains low and the bulk of the transport is performed by external factors, like motorized vehicles and trains.
  15. Gargantuan | The belly reaches the ground at all times. For most body types, in every way of measuring the belly's circumference, it exceeds their height, length, and width. Mobility has decreased to near-zero levels, and it is not guaranteed the pony in question can even reach the ground with all four hooves at once. Motorized mobility vehicles are mandatory for nearly any form of movement, and just moving around a single room is an extreme undertaking. Under Fatquestrian law, ponies at this stage are legally considered disabled via immobility and entitled to various government assistance programs. Some demonstrate their mobility with the effort and time required to move a single pace when asked to attempt the mile walk for scientific reasons.
  16. Titanic | The first universally immobile stage. The belly reaches the ground at all times, exceeds all other measurements in size, and lifts the rest of the body far enough away from the ground as to prevent 2-4 legs from being able to reach it. Very rare cases have been recorded where limited, very slow mobility remained possible by resting on a mobility device in such a way the rear legs could still reach the ground and propel the body, but it is little more than a gimmick.
  17. Blob | The body fat is so excessively built up that even if one would be capable of the strength needed to self-propel, there is no manner in which the legs could perform that function, as even if the hooves could touch the ground, the fat surrounding them prevents any mobility of the limb. This is arguably the largest weight stage, as it encompasses the largest breadth of sizes.
  18. Dragon | An extreme, and extremely rare, size category that was created in response to a small number of ponies, mostly in the reviled city of Foaledo, who have grown so absurdly gigantic, their weights rival or surpass those of actual, adult dragons.
  19.
  20. *"For most bodytypes" designates the majority of body shapes and types seen in ponies. Body types that have increasing focus on placing gained weight on the rear will lag behind others by a maximum of one stage - body proportions don't reach lukewarmluke or parumpi levels. A more apt measuring system for rear-heavy body types would be something akin to number of seats the rear fills.
