RCG-011 "Heart of Darkness"

 

Preamble: RCG-011 is contained at Site-11. Do not approach Site-11 under any circumstances. Information about RCG-011 is extremely dangerous. Inform your supervisor immediately if you find unauthorized information regarding RCG-011.

Memetic Trigger Follows:

Fetal resorption (also known as fetus resorption) is the disintegration and assimilation of one or more fetuses in the uterus at any stage after the completion of organogenesis. The resulting fetal remains are primarily made up of dead skin tissue and have been described as having a "parchment-like" texture.

RCG-011 "Heart of Darkness"

 

Danger: Omega-Prime. RCG-011-1 and RCG-011-2 are the foundation of our universe. Both instances are conceptually linked to our universe in general and Equestria in particular. Their destruction may lead to the end of our reality. Both entities have the ability to engage in reality-deviance at will. The limits of this ability are unknown.

 

Utility: All research suspended pursuant to Special Executive Order "X-2".

 

Containment: RCG-011-01 and RCG-011-02 are contained separately in individual containment chambers at Site-11. Although capable of reality manipulation considered impossible by conventional thaumic theory, the instances only have a mental bandwidth comparable to pony high-average.

RCG-011-01 has never been observed to communicate with staff outside its containment chamber, and does not appear to be capable of extra-normal perception. It may make requests to staff during interviews, which can be accepted or denied at staff discretion. RCG-011-01 has a generally affable demeanor and is eager to offer information, but the memetic hazards present in its communications have largely prevented useful communication until recently. It has never been observed to utilize magic, and claims to have no knowledge of thaumics. Despite this, it has been regularly observed in acts of local reality-deviance. These acts can alter living organisms, including sapients, and have resulted in casualties. Under no circumstances should a request from RCG-011-01 to end an interview be refused.

RCG-011-02 averages three (3) requests per month, mostly of books, through unknown means.

All requests are to be sent directly to the Office of the Chief Executive (OCE). Never enter the containment chamber of either entity without Director-Level approval. Amnestics are to be administered immediately after every interaction with either entity. The organization chart of Site-11 is to be reviewed daily. Any anomalies like redundant or missing positions, the presence of unassigned staff, or missing staff/reports are to be reported to the OCE immediately. A copy of this document is to be held at Site-F. If any discrepancies appear, the version at Site-F is to be considered the correct version and a reality-deviation event is considered to have occurred. This is considered a class-KR containment breach.

 

 

Description: RCG-011-01 and RCG-011-02 are the mutilated bodies of two bipeds. Both claim to be of the same species[1], "human".

 

RCG-011-01 is an adult male missing multiple body parts (see document "Anatomical Analysis of RCG-011-01: Amputations and Conceptual Binding" <[Redacted]>). Thaumic analysis has shown that the missing body parts existed at one point and are currently conceptually linked to various features of our universe. Most notably, the right eye of RCG-011-01 is the Moon ([SOL-1 CLEARANCE REQUIRED]). RCG-011-01 claims that these conceptual modifications have prevented it from reconstituting its body. RCG-011-01 claims that these modifications were done to it against its will by RCG-011-02. The history given by both instances contradict well-established archeological evidence. It is believed that both instances may be capable of having retrocausal effects on our universe. RCG-011-01 is wearing a shirt[2]. The shirt is physically unexceptional.

 

RCG-011-02 appears to be an adolescent female and claims to be the biological daughter of RCG-011-01. Any instrumental measurements of its containment room are consistent with an empty room. Regardless, all observers report seeing a bipedal female missing all body parts. It has also been observed to be carrying a missing kitchen knife (that is, RCG-011-02 is observed to be carrying a knife, but the knife itself is unable to be observed), which it claims to have used to perform ritual RCG-011-03 on RCG-011-01 and itself. It is unknown how this information was transmitted, as RCG-011-02 is missing its tongue, throat, and all other parts of its body that would be needed for mundane communication. RCG-011-02 has also never been observed to emit thaumic energy, which is consistent with the absence of a thaumic focus (as mentioned before, it is lacking any body part that can be used directly or indirectly for this purpose) or any non-physical thaumic entities in the containment chamber. RCG-011-02 is also conceptually linked to our universe, but is it unknown how - the lack of a thaumic target have prevented the use of trace spells. However, locator spells cast on the Sun indicate a minor (~0.2%) return at the location of its containment chamber. This is well within spell tolerance margins, and is not considered an info breach. RCG-011-02 claims that it is punishing RCG-011-01. This fact is ontologically certain, and is in fact the most ontologically certain fact currently known; all efforts of entertaining a hypothetical counterfactual have failed. The reason for this is unknown.

 

RCG-011-03 [ACCESS DENIED]

 

Incident Log L1:

During an interview, RCG-011-01 asked Agent Carlyle for smoking tobacco. A. Carlyle complied. RCG-011-01 then began coughing uncontrollably for over 50 seconds. Thaumic tracing showed a link between this event and the simultaneous eruption of multiple volcanos, some previously thought extinct, throughout Equestria. Containment procedures are being rewritten due to this incident. Of note, A. Carlyle claims to have never smoked and was not carrying tobacco when he entered the room.

 

Addendum L1:

Despite multiple visits by A. Carlyle to Site-11, A. Carlyle has never interacted with RCG-011-02. All scheduled tests between the two were noted to have been cancelled for administrative reasons or simple error. The meaning of this is unknown. Staff at Site-F have flagged this as a potential reality-deviation event. A. Carlyle denied any knowledge of this, but also referred to RCG-011-02 as "she", despite having never been given information on RCG-011-02. A. Carlyle claims this was subtexual information obtained from interviews with RCG-011-01. A. Carlyle has been suspended from active operations pending administrative review.

 

Addendum L2:

Attempts to schedule further interviews with RCG-011-02 have all failed. Past interview logs show no response from RCG-011-02, with interviewers speaking to themselves and obtaining information through conjecture. It is unknown if RCG-011-02 exists, or has ever existed. A. Carlyle was invited to Site-F for consultation. The resulting document is only available at Site-F.

 

Addendum L3:

Site-F has flagged A. Carlyle's service record as showing signs of reality deviance. Most notably, A. Carlyle shows extreme mindscape- and memetic-deviance, factors normally precluding employment by the RCG. A. Carlyle was also allowed to interact with multiple other similarly deviant entities, again in breach of RCG standard operating procedures. A. Carlyle has also been suspected of deviant memetic manipulation of Site-88 staff and was at one point put under extreme informational quarantine. A. Carlyle has also had unmonitored interactions with senior staff, including Site-88 Director White Castle, Executive Celestia, and Chairman Sparkle. This should never have been allowed given the previously stated anomalies. Most egregiously, A. Carlyle was invited to Site-F, a compartmentalized site specifically designed to counter the reality-deviation effects of members of his own species, and allowed to participate in critical discussions. This was not identified as a critical concern until after his departure.

The resulting investigation concluded that A. Carlyle had a low chance of being a reality deviant, a low chance of personal misconduct, and a very high chance of memetically-deviant manipulation of senior RCG staff. Termination of employment and recontainment was recommended.

This recommendation was vetoed by Chairman Sparkle, and no actions have been taken as the result of this investigation.
