                                            >nearly burning down their forest puts the teens even father down the sympathy list

                                            >the locals demand blood, and the judge is happy to oblige

                                            >not literally

                                            >although none of the citizens would complain if the guards accidentally or 'accidentally' drew blood from whipping too hard


                                            >the teens get a plea deal

                                            >no word of it spreads beyond the town's borders

                                            >no reputations ruined in the family dynasties back home

                                            >the concessions the prosecution got were much more valuable to the voters

                                            >can't let a uppity teen presumably spanked beyond tears get in the way of that

                                            >the senator just wishes he was there to watch

                                            >sometimes he hated politics
