                                            >Thunderlane trotted through the door, closing it behind him as he let out a sigh, stretching out his wings before throwing himself down on the sofa

                                            "Fucking assholes..."

                                            >The dark gray stallion mumbled under his breath as he looked up at the ceiling, replaying the events of the day in his head

                                            "Hey hun, welcome home, how was your day?."

                                            >Thunderlane turned his head to the source of the voice, his eyes falling upon a light blue stallion as he gave him a tired glance

                                            "Not too good, Soarin, not too good."

                                            >Soarin's gaze softened a bit as he trotted over to the sofa and sat down next to Thunderlane

                                            "Do you wanna talk about it? You know I'm always here for you."

                                            >Thunderlane simply scooted onto his side and looked at Soarin intently, not responding to his inquiry

                                            >Soarin as if on instinct laid down behind the dark gray pegasus and wrapped his hooves around him, pulling him in close

                                            "I'll talk about it later... Just, not now."

                                            >Thunderlane whispered to the light blue pegasus as he nuzzled back into his warm embrace, a light blush covering his face

                                            "Alright hun, just know that I love you... You're also adorable when you blush~"

                                            >Soarin leaned in and planted a light kiss on Thunderlane's cheek before smirking down at him

                                            >Thunderlane chuckled a bit and smiled, letting out a content sigh as he closed his eyes

                                            "I love you too Soarin... I love you too."

                                            >A few hours passed as the two stallions embraced each other on the sofa, eventually dozing off in each others' shared warmth, a small grumble breaking the silence as Thunderlane slowly awoke, yawning as he reached up a hoof to rub his eyes

                                            "Mm, fuck."

                                            >Thunderlane mumbled in a groggy voice as he shifted a bit, still tightly embraced in the hooves of Soarin as he quietly snored. Thunderlane smiled a bit at the sight before he slowly slid out of his hooves, being careful to not wake the sleeping stallion as he trotted off into the kitchen

                                            >The sweet scent of apples and cinnamon wafted from the kitchen to the living room, slowly waking up the sleeping light blue stallion as he instinctively sniffed the air to take in more of the scent

                                            >Soarin rolled over onto his side before getting up onto his hooves and trotting in the direction of the smell, peaking around the corner of the kitchen entrance and seeing

                                            "Hun? You cooking something in here?."

                                            >He said in an inquisitive tone as he scanned the empty room, a confused look on his face for a moment before trotting into the dining room, his eyes falling upon Thunderlane as the stallion shoots him a quick smile and motions to the pie

                                            "It's all for you, Soarin... Let's talk about that thing now."

                                            >Thunderlane spoke in a serious tone as Soarin chuckled a bit and sat down at the table across from his lover

                                            "Well, I'm all ears."

                                            >Soarin responded with a soft tone as he cut himself slice of the pie and took a bite out of it, savoring the taste

                                            "Mmm, this is great... You know I love your pies almost as much as I love you."

                                            >Thunderlane's smile widened as he blushed at the comment, watching Soarin rather quickly devour his slice of pie and go in for more

                                            "Well, everything was going alright and the usual you know. Flight practice, showers, yatta yatta... You know the routine better than I do."

                                            >Thunderlane paused for a moment before he resumed, taking a deep breath to compose himself

                                            "I took a bit of a detour though and stopped at the market to get some milk since I saw we were running low, I guess I got followed or something because about a block down a pair of stallions knocked the bag out of my muzzle... I just booked it and ran while they shouted... Things at me"

                                            >Thunderlane let out a sigh as he paused for a moment before continuing, Soarin looking at the grey pegasus with a concerned expression

                                            "You know it's funny, the last time I heard things like that was in highschool... I thought things changed since then, I guess I was wrong"

                                            >He forced out a chuckle as he finished his sentence before laying his head down on the table

                                            >Soarin silently scooted his chair over to Thunderlane's and wrapped a hoof around the moping stallion, pulling him in as close as he could

                                            "Hun... I'm so sorry, but I can promise you that I won't let anything like this happen to you again"

                                            >He said in a soft voice before he softly pulled Thunderlane's head to face his, looking deeply into the stallion's yellow eyes

                                            >Thunderlane's face lighted up and a dark red blush filled his cheeks as Soarin's eyes met his, he gazed deeply into the other stallion's eyes as they slowly moved towards his, eventually their lips met in a kiss

                                            >Soarin gently yet passionately kissed Thunderlane and closed his eyes as he held the stallion close to him, gently resting his hooves on Thunderlane's hips as he tilted his head at an angle to deepen the kiss further, a faint blush now covering the light blue pegasus' cheeks

                                            >The two stallions shared the intimate moment, losing themselves in the feeling of their shared warmth, the feeling of their lips pressed firmly together as the world slowly faded around them and the only thing that mattered was each other

                                            >After a few moments Soarin slowly pulled from the kiss and opened his eyes, Thunderlane following shortly after

                                            "You feel better now, hun?"

                                            >Soarin whispered to Thunderlane in a soft voice as he held the grey pegasus close to him and smiled

                                            "Mmm, yeah I'm feeling a bit better."

                                            >Thunderlane responded with a smile before moving in and nuzzling his muzzle against Soarin's, causing the light blue stallion to chuckle a bit

                                            "Good, because you know I can't stand seeing you upset, you're safe here with me and you always will be."
