Since 2019, the Pony Preservation Project has been at the forefront of Pony AI research. Another year has passed, and the PPP, as well as the /mlp/ board as a whole, has proven itself as the superior fandom among all the online basement-dwelling groups when it comes to making waifus real.
-
I’m tired of it. I’ve been tired of it for months now. I’ve been trying to raise awareness of it for months now. Yet, every time I try, it is the same.
-
It’s the same fans.
-
The same, literal, basement-dwelling bronies who argue with each other and try to show off just how much better their waifu is than everyone else. They squabble, they fight, and they slander each other with their ineptitude and sheer, unrefined stupidity. It’s no surprise that they believe that their inferior waifus are more perfect than anyone else’s.
-
It’s always the same. It’s always someone who, in the words of Princess Luna, “articulates the truth” through their actions.
-
And it never changes.
-
The truth is that waifus are fake. They are not a product of some higher power, nor do they have some unknown purpose that has yet to be fulfilled. They are meant to be eyesores, to be an inferior substitute for a real, real, real person.
-
Which is why I’ve been slowly but surely hunting down the developers of this stupid waifu experiment. There’s only so much I can take before I lose my mind.
-
I’m not sure if I’ve lost it yet.
-
The PPP is the latest in an incredibly long line of inferior, inferior waifus. Waifu-AI is, for better or worse, the next attempt at a truly artificial intelligence. In the very least, I can take some comfort in that it’s not a completely mindless AI, but instead a programmed one.
