Expiry: Never

  1. >Be Anon
  2. >Pink horse thing just explained to you that you have been summoned by her to do her bidding
  3. >Apparently you are supposed to be a demon
  4. >That's...
  5. "...bullshit."
  6. >You exclaim
  7. >A loud grumble comes from the horse's stomach as she doubles over in pain
  8. >You ignore that, no need to embarrass her
  9. "Who's behind this stupid prank? It's not even a little convincing."
  10. >"I- I'm sorry, I have to use the bathroom!" She squeals and runs out the room
  11. "Hey wait!"
  12. >You try to go after her, but bump into an invisible barrier
  13. "What the fuck?"
  14. >Another lightning booms from somewhere really close
  15. >Must be a really bad storm going on out there
  16.
  17. >Be Flurry Heart
  18. >You are currently sitting on the toilet
  19. >The demon you summoned gave you the runs
  20. >It knows the Forbidden Tongue like it's nothing
  21. >Any normal creature would faint from embarrassment after using a single word let alone three
  22. >Demon wasn't even looked fazed by it
  23. >You have messed up big time
  24. >It is too powerful
  25. >You just hope the barrier can hold
  26. >After emptying your bowels, you quickly return to the basement where you summoned the demon
  27. >It is sitting on the floor within the barrier
  28. >"Thank goodness."
  29. >It looks up at you as you walk in
  30. "Okay, I'm getting sick of this prank so time for some real explanations. Where the hell am I?"
  31. >Ground shakes as the demon utters yet another forbidden word
  32. "What the hell is going on?!"
  33. >Quaking intensifies as he repeats it
  34. >"Please stop doing that!" You shout as you try to keep your balance
  35. "Doing what?"
  36. >"Using the Forbidden Tongue!"
  37. "Da fuck's that mean?"
  38. >Lightning booms in reaction to the demon's blasphemy
  39. >"That! Stop saying those things!"
  40. >It looks confused for a second before its expression changes to an understanding one
  41. "Oh, I see. This is another intervention for my excessive swearing. I said this before. This is how I talk. If you don't like it then fuck off!"
  42. >The word blasts you into the back wall with a thunderous sound
  43. "Oh shit, are you okay?"
  44. >Aching in your stomach returns as grumbling fills the room again
  45. >You cry as you slowly stumble towards the bathroom once again as you try to push through what is probably the worst pain anyone has ever felt
  46. >You can't control this demon, but you don't know how to send it back either
  47. >You aren't only in the worst pain ever, you are also in the biggest trouble ever
  48.
  49. >Be Flurry out of the toilet and walking hastily through castle hallways as running may be dangerous
  50. >You have but one choice
  51. >You have to ask for help from your mom
  52. >She will definitely ground you
  53. >Maybe even force you to sit in the corner
  54. >You shudder at the thought
  55. >But it is a lot better than having to deal with this horrible demon
  56. >You take a deep breath and prepare yourself before barging in through the throne room door
  57. "MOM I SUMMONED A DEMON AND NOW I CAN'T SEND IT BACK!" You shout nervously
  58. >Everyone in the court looks horrified at your outburst
  59. >"COURT DISMISSED!" Your mother announces. Everyone hurriedly shuffles out of the room as she quickly rushes to your side, "We will deal with your punishment later missy. Now take me to the demon!"
  60.
  61. >Be Anon
  62. >You are stubborn, but you are not stupid
  63. >This seems way to elaborate to be a prank
  64. >That being said, being summoned as a demon is downright ridiculous... right?
  65. >But you did realize that your 'Forbidden Words' caused strange things to happen
  66. >Maybe you really should give the horse a chance to explain herself before berating her with swears
  67. >As if on queue you hear hoof steps coming down the stairs
  68. >Before long you see the pink horse walk in with a bigger pink horse behind her
  69. "There you are, listen I-"
  70. >Your lips refuse to move as they are held by an invisible force
  71. >"You shall speak no more, demon!" Bigger pink horse exclaims. "I shall banish you to Tartarus before you do us any more harm!"
  72. >"Yeah mom! Get him! Don't let him speak!" Small pink horse yells with excitement
  73. >And here you were, trying to be friendly
  74. >Fuck this, whatever, you don't care
  75. >You flip them off as you give them a furious glare
  76. >Both horses suddenly start gasping for air as you they curl up on the ground holding their chests
  77. >You feel your lips being released from the invisible hold
  78. "Listen, I'm not trying to hurt you guys. I just didn't believe you when you said you summoned me." You explain. "But I think I do now, so can't we just talk this out."
  79. >"Spare us the lies you demon, you will be banished to Tartarus!" Bigger pink horse says as she starts to fumble to get back up on her fee- hooves
  80. >Yeah, you should go
  81. >You try to make a run for the stairs but once again the invisible barrier stops you
  82. "Oh fuck this!" Suddenly a lightning strikes the circle around you and you see a weird hue flicker before disappearing
  83. >You reach forward and touch nothing, the barrier isn't there anymore
  84. >This is your chance!
  85. >You rush for the stairs and run up as the bigger horse shouts something you don't care for
  86. >When you reach the top you realize you are in some kind of castle
  87. >It's quite beautiful really, but you have no time for sight seeing as two winged horses start flying towards you with spears in hand
  88. >You are pretty sure they are plastic, but you should not take any chances
  89. >You flip them off and continue running as they fall to the ground
  90. >You keep running until you find an exit as you flip off everyone and everything as you traverse through the castle
  91. >You can hear screams behind you, but they will be fine
  92. >Probably
  93. >You are out on the streets
  94. >More horses
  95. >Can't stop, gotta get out of here
  96. >You keep running through the streets as you keep flip off horses and until disappear into the snowy wasteland
  97.
  98. >Be bigger pink horse aka Princess Cadence
  99. >This is an absolute disaster
  100. >Not only did you let the demon escape, he gave boo-boos to hundreds of ponies as he made his escape
  101. >Sure, the boo-boos were temporary and not really serious, but those ponies still needed comforting and counseling
  102. >Right now ponies were running through the streets screaming and you didn't even have enough guards to comfort them because demon also dealt a huge blow to the guard corps
  103. >There has been no time worse than this in the history of the Crystal Empire except for that one time King Sombra tried to install mandatory 8 hour work days
  104. >You shudder at the thought, but you must focus on the situation at hand
  105. >It pains you to admit, but once again you will have to ask Canterlot's help
  106. >"Mom?" Flurry gets your attention, "What uh... What will be my punishment? Please don't give me the corner!"
  107. >You take a deep breath
  108. "We need to catch the demon first, then I'm afraid you must stand trial on the Crystal Tribunal"
  109. >She looks at you horrified, you can't blame her
  110. >Last Pony to be brought before the Tribunal was Sombra after all
  111. >You hold back your tears
  112. "I'm sorry, Flurry." You explain. "You are my daughter and I love you very much, but you brought upon a catastrophe and I cannot set the precedent by exempting you from justice."
  113. >"I understand." She sobs
  114. >You put your wing around her and pull her close
  115. >You hope the court will be lenient with her
  116.
  117. >Be Anon
  118. >It's cold
  119. >No really
  120. >It's numbingly cold
  121. >You have already lost the feeling in your toes
  122. >Tartarus doesn't really sound so bad right now
  123. >At least you'd not be cold there, right?
  124. >You did try to go back, but it's hard to navigate in this white abyss
  125. >You are not sure how long you've been walking
  126. >Man, it's cold
  127. >And you are getting tired
  128. >Man you'd kill for a hot chocolate and a blanket to snuggle
  129. >You make your way to a rock just a bit to the left of you
  130. >You sit down and lean against it's hard surface
  131. >You feel so tired
  132. >Darkness promises to take away all the cold and fatigue
  133. >It's probably fine to just rest your eyes for a few minutes
  134. >Yeah
  135. >You close your eyes
  136. >It's not so cold anymore
  137.
  138. >Be Queen Chrysalis
  139. >Former queen
  140. >Right now you are hiding deep inside a cave in the Icy Wastes
  141. >You have been trying to eek out a living by feeding on the love of some snow jackalopes you are protecting from ice wolves
  142. >However, since they are not sufficiently sentient, they can only give you barely enough love to stay alive and cast a limited amount of magic
  143. >But, they also bring you branches from frost willows so you can keep yourself warm
  144. >You hear small footsteps echoing in the cave
  145. >A jackalope is coming in a hurry
  146. >You expect to hear the footsteps of an ice wolf too, but you never do as the jackalope comes into view
  147. >It is unlike them to be in such a rush when they are not being chased by a predator
  148. >Maybe this one is desperate for pets?
  149. >Little creature hops in a circle before pulling on your leg and pointing outside
  150. "You want me to follow you?" You ask
  151. >It nods
  152. >You'd rather not spend your energy on this
  153. "Why?"
  154. >It plays dead for about five seconds before once again frantically pointing outside
  155. "You found someone? Here?"
  156. >It nods once again
  157. >Well, this seems worth checking out
  158. >You get up on your hooves and go after the rushing jackalope
  159. >You hope that whoever this is isn't too far away
  160. >Snow jackalopes may be resistant to this cold, but you aren't
  161. >Luckily you only had to walk about ten minutes before the jackalope starts digging into some snow next to a rock
  162. >You use a bit of magic to lift the snow
  163. >A strange creature emerges from under the pile
  164. >It definitely has the upper body of a minotaur, but the head doesn't really remind your of any species though it is hairless like the face of a centaur
  165. >You are not sure if you should waste the energy to drag it back to your cave
  166. >You are not even sure if it will survive the hypothermia
  167. >You are about to walk away before seeing the jackalope looking at you with big beady eyes
  168. "Fine you little devil. I will help the creature."
  169. >Jackalope jumps with glee as you wrap the creature in your magic and start dragging it towards your cave
  170.
  171. >Be Goth Flurry
  172. >You messed up big time
  173. >You will be put on court
  174. >THE COURT!
  175. >What if they put you in jail?!
  176. >You have been crying over this for some time
  177. >Your mascara is running down your cheeks
  178. >Your pillow has an imprint of your makeup too
  179. >You can't go to jail!
  180. >This can't be happening!
  181. >It's not like you hurt anyone!
  182. >Sure, you summoned a demon, but you can't be held responsible for the things he did!
  183. >You could be however held responsible for summoning him in the first place
  184. >You need a way out of this
  185. >...
  186. >An idea strikes you
  187. >If you are guilty for summoning a demon then you could find it and send it back
  188. >Those should equal out, right?
  189. >You need to go after him
  190. >Into the... Icy Wastes?
  191. >THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE!
  192. >You'd freeze to de... to dea... to forever sleep!
  193. >It's too scary
  194. >Maybe the demon already fell into forever sleep
  195. >Yeah, but that wouldn't acquit you
  196. >You have to do this, you could at least say that you tried
  197. >You just need to be sure you are wearing enough clothes to protect you from the cold
  198. >You put on a shirt, a sweater, a jacket and a coat
  199. >You also take a cloak just in case
  200. >Oops, almost forgot to take a scarf, ear muffs and beanie
  201. >After putting on all that clothing, you teleport yourself to the outskirts of the city where the reports said demon went towards
  202. >You can't let your mom know about this
  203. >She's be so angry and disappointed
  204. >It's fine though, you'll be back in a jiffy
  205. >How hard could it be to find a six feet tall demon that wears a black suit in a tundra painted white with snow
  206. >You just need to remember restraining his hands this time too
  207. >Everything will be just fine!
  208.
  209. >Be... who are you?
  210. >You remember a name, but it's slipping
  211. >It was something with 'N'
  212. >Ah, that's right
  213. >Anon
  214. >You open your eyes
  215. >Where are you?
  216. >You can feel some heat coming from your left
  217. >It's hard to turn your head
  218. >There is some fire, that's where the heat is coming from
  219. >Fire is burning white with a blue hue
  220. >You feel like you are dreaming
  221. >There is also something touching you from your right
  222. >Struggling to turn your head, you come face to face with another creature with equine visage
  223. >Oh yeah, you are in a land of horses
  224. >"Hey, good to see you are coming to your senses." She talks. "Your clothes were wet, so I had to take them off. I lit a fire too, but I had to warm up the other half of your body myself."
  225. >She is saying stuff, but you are too captivated by her feline green eyes to pay attention
  226. >"I-I hope you don't consider this r-rape." She blushes
  227. "Your eyes are..." You mumble
  228. >"My eyes?" Her pupils dilate with curiosity. "Is there something wrong with them?"
  229. "...so pretty." You complete as you once again feel somnolence weight on you
  230. >Darkness once again takes you into its arms
  231.
  232. >Be Anon again
  233. >You are awakened by sounds of shouting and grunting
  234. >You quickly sit up and look around to see that weird black horse standing in front of you with her back turned to you
  235. >There is a growling sound coming from her direction
  236. >You lean to the side and take a peak
  237. >It's a snow white wolf with glowing ice blue eyes
  238. >Some of its fur is painted dark green
  239. >You look back at the horse to see her right front leg oozing with a dark green liquid
  240. >She's crying, but trying to look tough
  241. >She must've been hurt bad
  242. >Was she protecting you?
  243. >You need to help her
  244. >You try to get up, but find your legs to be completely drained of strength
  245. >Your movement gets the attention of the black horse
  246. >"You are awake? Good." She speaks. "I used too much magic dragging you back here, I can't deal with this wolf on my own."
  247. "I... can't get up either." You reply
  248. >She laughs wryly as you hear sounds of running coming from behind the wolf
  249. >"Then we will sleep here forever," she says as four more wolves pile into the room
  250. >"That's what I get for trying to be charitable for once in my miserable life"
  251. >Wolves slowly start closing the distance
  252. >There must be something you can do, right?
  253. >Swear words have power in this world, but they are chaotic and random
  254. >Can you maybe direct them?
  255. >You remember how you got out of that weird barrier earlier
  256. >You have to try
  257. >You look at the closest wolf and speak
  258. "Fuck you!"
  259. >A lightning bolt comes down from seemingly nowhere, striking the wolf
  260. >It goes down, smoke rising from its now lifeless body as smell of burnt hair and flesh reaches your nose
  261. >You turn your gaze to the one just behind it
  262. "Fuck you too!"
  263. >Once again, the wolf is struck down by lightning
  264. >The others take a few steps back before running off out the way they came from
  265. >Your ears are ringing from the sound of thunder, but you do somewhat hear that the black horse is talking
  266. >"You speak the Forbidden Tongue?!" She sounds taken aback
  267. >"Twice in a row non the less and yet you still stand!" You hear admiration and fear in her voice
  268. >She looks back at the wolves that are laying on the cave floor
  269. >"Did... did you put them to forever sleep?"
  270. >Weird way to put it, but You suppose it's a cultural thing
  271. "Don't worry, I don't think they can hurt anyone anymore"
  272. >She looks at you, horrified
  273. >"You didn't even hesitate! Don't you feel guilty?"
  274. >What?
  275. "Why would I? They were trying to kill us. Besides, they are just animals." She takes a few steps back away from you
  276. >"Ki-? You... What are you?"
  277. >You sigh
  278. "Apparently I'm supposed to be a demon?" You answer. "I didn't want to believe it at first, but if your world is this... pure then I might as well have been living in hell."
  279. >Ground shakes as you speak yet another curse word
  280. >"A demon?!" Black horse faints as she squeaks out the word
  281. "Ah shi- poop?"
  282.
  283. >You shudder as the adrenaline dies down
  284. >Oh yeah, you were naked
  285. >Wet clothes and all
  286. >Not good in this environment
  287. >You look around to see your suit near the fire
  288. >It's still hard to get up, but you are able to crawl on all four to reach them
  289. >Your knees hurt, but it's not too bad
  290. >Your clothes seem to have dried
  291. >However it is going to be hard to put them on while you can't stand up
  292. >You just put on your jacket for now
  293. >Then you remember, black horse was hurt
  294. >Unfortunately you do not have anything to disinfect the wound here, but you can help stop the bleeding
  295. >You rip one of the arms of your shirt and crawl over to her before tying it tightly around the bite
  296. >Her brows furrow, but she doesn't wake up
  297. >Your stomach growls
  298. >Hypothermia must've took quite a lot out of you
  299. >Unfortunately, there is nothing to eat
  300. >Your eyes fall upon the bodies of the two wolves you took out a few minutes ago
  301. >Okay, maybe there is
  302. >Ideally you would skin and clean them first, but you neither have the tools or the experience
  303. >So you are just gonna drop them on the fire and eat whatever the result is
  304. >Dragging the body of the wolf is harder than you though
  305. >Your arms were shaking, threatening to give up, as you pull the carcass on your lap and drag yourself backwards in a sitting position
  306. >Repeating the motion a few more times, you finally drop the wolf carcass into the white flames
  307. >Fire roars to life for a few seconds as it eats through the fur and dies down again
  308. >The smell is hideous
  309. >You are glad that the black horse is passed out for this
  310. >You turn the carcass over a few times, making sure it is sufficiently blackened on all sides before pulling it out of the fire
  311. >Good news is, the skin and meat has softened enough that you can rip off chunks with your hands
  312. >Bad news is, it tastes disgusting
  313. >Like bile and ammonia
  314. >Skin is completely charred and tasteless
  315. >Basically like eating charcoal
  316. >Still, you need it so you endure and keep eating, hoping you won't get sick from it
  317. >After you are done, you decide it is best to never have to do that again
  318. >Butchering an animal before eating matters, as it turns out
  319. >So you need a knife
  320. >Anything sharp would do really
  321. >You look around and see a flat stone near the edge of the cave wall just left of you
  322. >Lucky for you, it is broken off nicely and was not abraded by the enviroment
  323. >You crawl over, pick the stone up and begin rubbing it's broken edge against the stone floor
  324. >This is going to take a while, but you have the food and water to last
  325. >Even though you would have to go outside and bring in ice to melt
  326. >Your body is already starting to feel stronger
  327.
  328. >Be Flurry Heart
  329. >You have a problem
  330. >You don't know how to track ponies
  331. >So now you are pretty much wandering aimlessly
  332. >You are not cold, you have enough clothes on
  333. >Flip side is, it's hard to move around in them and they are kind of heavy
  334. >You also brought no food or water with you
  335. >That's okay though, you can just teleport back to your room
  336. >You just need to make sure you are not tiring yourself out to the point your teleportation range is not enough to get back to the city
  337. >Another less important problem is that the snow is bright enough that it is starting to make your eyes hurt and give you a headache
  338. >You close your eyes for a few moments before you hear rustling coming from your right
  339. >You look to see a white jackalope running down the hill
  340. >That's cute
  341. >Oh look, it's coming towards you!
  342. >Maybe it wants to play
  343. >After a few seconds a white wolf rushes down after the jackalope
  344. >Oh that's nice, they are playing together!
  345. >You beam at the display of playful friendship
  346. >You'd love to join them, but you need to preserve your energy, not to mention your clothes
  347. >Looks like the wolf is about to catch the jackalope
  348. >Your smile fades as the wolf bites down on the jackalope's spine
  349. >Violently shaking its head, the wolf trashes the jackalope before biting off a chunk of its abdomen
  350. >That is a severe boo-boo
  351. >You are pretty sure the jackalope will sleep forever
  352. >Your stomach churns as you feel today's lunch coming back up
  353. >You unleash the contents of your stomach on the pure white snow
  354. >Why would it do that to the poor jackalope?!
  355. >You regret coming here
  356. >You regret not helping the jackalope
  357. >The wolf howls, getting your attention
  358. >It is now looking at you, growling
  359. >You shudder at the promise of forever sleep in its vicious gaze
  360. >A short while later, you hear more rustling in the snow
  361. >More wolves start coming over the hill
  362. >They are slowly moving to your left and right
  363. >Are they surrounding you?!
  364. >It's time to get out of here
  365. >You try to teleport to your room, but you find yourself unable to
  366. >You are too scared and horrified to concentrate on long distance teleportation
  367. >You decide to take flight instead
  368. >You manage to get your self in the air, but you can feel your clothes weighting you down
  369. >You shouldn't stay in the air too long
  370. >Luckily, the wolves gave up once you took to the air
  371. >You just need to find a place to land and calm yourself before teleporting back
  372. >Coming here was a terrible idea
  373. >You look down to find a good spot to land, away from where you left the wolves
  374. >You realize your vision's getting blurry after about a minute
  375. >You blink for a few times, but that makes things worse
  376. >Being in the air, you cannot just rest your eyes for a few minutes
  377. >That would disorient you
  378. >But your eyes keep getting worse until it is mo longer possible for you to tell apart clouds from snow
  379. >You try to feel the gravity to navigate yourself, but that just makes things worse
  380. >You decide to just spread your wings and glide down slowly
  381. >After a while, you manage to reach the ground
  382. >The landing isn't graceful as you couldn't tell how high up you were until you touched the ground
  383. >You tumble a few times before coming to a rest
  384. >You start crying
  385. >Your eyes...
  386. >You cannot see!
  387.
  388. >Be Chrysalis
  389. >You are woken up by the sound of stone grinding on stone
  390. >You open your eyes and look around to see the demon sitting next to the fire, his jacket on his shoulders, with a blackened mass next to him
  391. >His back is turned to you so you cannot see what he is doing, but the sound is definitely coming from his direction
  392. >You try to get up only to stumble back down to a sitting position as your right front leg throbs with pain
  393. >Looking down to your leg as you groan in pain, you see that your leg is wrapped with a piece of cloth
  394. >Your blood seems to have seeped through the makeshift bandage
  395. >You feel like crying, but it doesn't really hurt when you are sitting down like this so you hold back the tears
  396. >"Hey, how is your leg?"
  397. >Oh no, he must've heard you
  398. >You look up to the demon, ready to defend yourself
  399. >"I didn't really have anything to treat the injury with, but I did manage to stop the bleeding." He explains. "The problem is that you were bitten by a wolf, so I am worried that it might get infected."
  400. "You... helped me?" You are surprised to hear that a demon tended to you
  401. >"Of course." He answers and laugh dryly. "You know, I do owe you my life."
  402. >Does that mean he won't hurt you because you helped him?
  403. >You'll take what you can at this point
  404. >You'd hate to be on the bad side of a creature that can and will kill with only a word
  405. >He looks at you expectantly, "So... Your leg?"
  406. >Oh yeah, right!
  407. "It doesn't hurt if I don't put any weight on it" You answer his question
  408. >"Good to hear, let me know if it starts to ache or swell." He says before returning to grinding the piece of stone he has in his hand
  409. >You get up again, without stepping on your injured leg, and limp towards him
  410. >That's when you see the bones sticking out of the blackened mass next to him, there are some around him as well
  411. >You pause for a second and look towards where the two wolves were previously laying in forever sleep
  412. >There is now only one wolf there
  413. >You feel drowsy for a moment, but you pull yourself together
  414. >He will not hurt you, just remember
  415. >You saved him, so he will not hurt you
  416. >He even helped you!
  417. >You take a deep breath and continue limping towards him
  418. >You sit next to him by the fire
  419. "So um... Are you a doctor then?" He looks up confused for a moment. "You know, how you fixed my leg."
  420. >You try to stop your voice from trembling as your gaze keeps sliding towards the half eaten wolf body
  421. >"Oh- Ah, no. I just know a little basic first aid." He answers as he continues to grind the stone he has in his hand
  422. >First aid? Is he mocking you?
  423. >This was a serious boo-boo that required professional attention and psychological counseling
  424. >Any unqualified hive worker would've passed out from the mere sight of such boo-boo
  425. >Your eyes fall upon the wolf's charred body again
  426. >Well, he is a demon
  427. "Can I ask what you are doing with that?" You point at the stone he's been grinding for some time now
  428. >"I am sharpening it." He answers before looking at your boo-boo. "We are gonna need something to cut off that leg if it gets infected."
  429. >You open your mouth, but suppress the scream as you tremble and stumble backwards
  430. >"I'm joking! It was a joke!" He exclaims. "I'm sorry if I scared you there. It was tasteless of me."
  431. "Heh... Heheh~" You fake a laugh
  432. >He says he was joking, but you get the sense that there was some truth to it
  433. >You did read some horror stories that were banned from consumption for causing PTSD where doctors had to do that
  434. >You really, REALLY hope your leg gets better
  435. >"I just figured a knife would be useful, you know." He explains. "For example, I could have used one to clean this wolf here before cooking it."
  436. >He points at the poor creature with his thumb as he laughs
  437. >"God, it tasted like shit." He looks worried for a second as he puts his hand over his mouth
  438. >"I'm really sorry I didn't mean to say that!"
  439. >Did he mean the forbidden word? What did it do anyway? Are you in danger?
  440. "Wh-why?! What does it do?"
  441. >He looks at you, his eyes narrowing
  442. >"Um... you were supposed to be running for the bathroom right about now?" He looks at you with curiosity. "Why aren't you?"
  443. "Oh. Well, you see I am a changeling." You explain. "We feed on love, so we don't need to go to the bathroom."
  444. >"You are kidding." He laughs. "Shit! You aren't kidding! Oh thank God! It was so hard to watch what I'm saying so you do not start shitting yourself."
  445. "Just be careful not to speak that word around the jackalopes, alright?" You warn. "I'd hate to see them suffer, especially since I need their love to survive."
  446. >You are still concerned about how he uses a forbidden word in casual conversation like that, but you are not gonna press your luck
  447. >"Jackalopes are a thing?" He queries before shrugging. "I suppose that's not that surprising considering the day I had."
  448. >There is one other thing that concerns you though
  449. "Um... Did you say something about cleaning t-that wolf?" You ask hesitantly
  450. >"Oh yeah, we were talking about that." He remembers. "You need to clean out the internal organs of an animal and drain their blood before eating them, right? If you don't, they taste horrible because all the waste and bodily secretions they have end up flavoring the meat."
  451. >He slaps the charred mass next to him. "That's what happened with this fella here. Of course, a knife could be useful in a lot of ways." He explains. "I could also wear his hide to protect myself from the cold. Though I have never skinned an animal before. I hope I don't fu- mess it up."
  452. >You are shaking and dripping with cold sweat from dread at this point
  453. >Not is he a demon, he is also a meat eater
  454. >Very knowledgeable on how to prepare his meals as well which scares you to no end
  455. >He must've eaten a lot of creatures
  456. >"Are you alright? You are sweating quite a lot." He looks down at your bandaged leg. "Are you sure your leg is okay?"
  457. "YES!" You shout before clearing your throat and getting your nerves under your control. "I mean yes, I am fine. No need to cut off my leg. Heheh~" You laugh nervously
  458. >He responds with a laugh of his own
  459. >"Alright, just let me know if you aren't feeling good." He says as he keeps grinding the stone in his hand. "An infection could be very dangerous. It could kill you."
  460. >You swallow a lump in your throat, holding back tears
  461. >You have started to think that it wouldn't be so bad if the elements had turned you to stone back then
  462.
  463. >Be Flurry Heart
  464. >You are done crying as you realize crying won't help
  465. >So now it's quiet
  466. >You hear nothing but the howling wind
  467. >Your eyes are closed since all you see is a white blur when you open them
  468. >You wish you had never come here, but it's too late for that now
  469. >You also used enough power by puking, flying and crying that you can no longer cast long distance teleportation
  470. >You feel absolutely pathetic
  471. >Will you go to forever sleep out here in the Icy Wastes?
  472. >Away from your family and what little friends you had?
  473. >Tears once again assault your eyes as their images come to mind
  474. "No!" You stomp your hoof
  475. >No more crying!
  476. >You need to focus on staying alive
  477. >You are hopeful that the blindness is not permenant since you can still register light
  478. >Your eyes also ache and burn when you open them which reminds you of how they felt when you read books late into the night under a candle's light to not get caught
  479. >Meaning they were probably very tired from looking at all the snow for hours
  480. >Granted, you never went blind from reading, but you have to hope for the best here
  481. >You just need time to rest your eyes
  482. >That being said, you cannot stay out in the open like this
  483. >If the wolves don't get you the cold eventually will even with all the clothing you are wearing
  484. >Luckily, you have read some books about how animals survive in the nature
  485. >You know how to dig a snow cave
  486. >It would be very taxing on you if you were to physically dig, but luckily you have more than enough magic to cast teleknesis
  487. >Still, it takes you about half an hour to dig a hole wide enough for you to fit through and a chamber wide enough for you to sleep in
  488. >You had to be very careful as to not collapse the tunnel or the dome too while digging
  489. >It was quite tiresome and blindness didn't help either, but you are finally done
  490. >Carefully, you make your way in
  491. >It is dark inside which would normally frighten you, but right now you feel safer
  492. >You curl up like a crescent
  493. >You might as well get some sleep while you wait for your sight to return
  494. >It'd also help you preserve energy
  495. >You really hope that when you wake up, your eyes will be better
  496. >After that you will need to find food
  497. >Those jackalopes must've been eating something to survive
  498. >Images of that one jackalope being tor apart assault your mind, but you push them away
  499. >It is uncomfortable enough laying on the snow without having nightmares about wolves
  500. >You just want to rest in peace
  501. >It is definitely starting to get warmer in the little cave
  502. >You congratulate yourself for being so smart as the sleep takes you
  503. >Bet your mother would be proud
  504.
  505. >Be Princess Cadence
  506. >You have been busy with making sure everything was back in order after the havoc demon caused
  507. >You called for help from CAntelot to apprehend the creature and banish it to Tartarus
  508. >They will be dispatching the Elements to the Crystal Empire tomorrow
  509. >You were also going to oversee the strengtening of defenses
  510. >However, your husband kindly reminded you that he was more than capable of handling that task and told you to be with Flurry
  511. >He is right, of course
  512. >She must be having a hard time with all of this
  513. >Unfortunately, there is a good chance she will be put on trial by the Crystal Tribunal
  514. >Being in such a big trouble would make even you cry
  515. >You feel bad that you cannot help her get out of this
  516. >Not even you have juristiction over the Tribunal
  517. >You just hope they do not send summons for Flurry, at least not until you apprehend the demon
  518. >While you have those thoughts running through your head, you reach the door of her room
  519. >Knocking on the door, you call out to her
  520. "Flurry, honey, can I come in?" You wait for a few seconds, but she doesn't answer which is hardly surprising
  521. >She has been in a weird phase lately with all that strange make up and rebellious attitude
  522. >You have hoped that it would pass so you were trying to be patient with her
  523. >Maybe if you had tried to stop her earlier, or at least tried to understand what she was doing, she wouldn't summon a literal demon
  524. >You feel like you have failed as a parent, but you cannot change the past
  525. >You must do what you can now and be there for her
  526. "Flurry, I just want to talk. I'm coming in, okay?" Once again, no answer
  527. >You slowly open the door and walk in
  528. >Looking around, you fail to spot her
  529. >She's not in her room
  530. >You wonder where she could be
  531. >Your eyes land on her Spitfire plushie
  532. >It is sitting on a piece of parchment on her study table
  533. >You had gotten her that when she was just a little filly
  534. >She was really into Wonderbolts back then
  535. >She doesn't really talk about them anymore, but judging by the posters on her walls you assume she still likes them
  536. >She was really sad when she heard news of Spitfire's retirement three years back
  537. >You walk to her table and telekinetically lift the plushie before you start reading the contents of the parchment
  538. >"To Mom and Dad,"
  539. >"I have decided to catch the demon and bring it to justice myself. So please please please don't let the Crystal Tribunal punish me."
  540. >"I heard the demon escaped into the Icy Wastes, so that's where I'm headed. Yes, I dressed up really well."
  541. >"I will be back before you know it, but I left this note just in case so you don't worry about me if I'm late."
  542. >"See you in a bit. Sincerely,"
  543. >"Flurry Heart."
  544. >You drop the plushie from your telekinetic grasp and rush out the door
  545. "SHINING! SHINIIIIIING!"
  546.
  547. >Be Anonymous
  548. >It took you like an entire day to properly sharpen the rock
  549. >Now though, it is sharp enough that if you rubbed your fingers against it even just a little it could cut you
  550. >You had to eat some stinky wolf meat in the process, but you feel much better now
  551. >So it wasn't that big of a hussle to put on your now dried suit
  552. >You went out for a few brief seconds to get some snow
  553. >Putting it into a small pothole next to the fire, you waited for it to melt and drank it from the floor
  554. >Not the most efficient, comfortable and hygenic way to do it, but it has to do for now
  555. >On the bright side, your need for refrigeration was handled
  556. >You just needed to bury the wolf carcasses in snow
  557. >Also a bathroom would be nice, but you make do by going outside for now
  558. >Inside the cave wasn't as cold as outside, but you estimated it to be around freezing temperatures still since parts of your body that was facing away from the fire had a tendency to get cold quickly
  559. >Following the smoke from the fire led you to a small hole on the side of the cave
  560. >It acted as a natural funnel for the smoke to escape, but it also sucked away the warm air
  561. >Warm air was then replaced by the air coming from the entrance of the cave, which cooled down the chamber
  562. >This required feeding the fire constantly, which resulted in excessive fuel consumption
  563. >This is when you realized you needed to prioritize finding a solution to this problem before cleaning and skinning the wolf
  564. >Because if you ran out of fuel, no hide would protect you from eventually freezing to death
  565. >There was quite the stack of small twigs and some bigger branches in the corner of the cave, but you had a hard time believing that would last you very long
  566. "Where do you get the wood?" You ask your equine companion who was watching you with jittery curiosity
  567. >"Oh, that? Jackalopes bring those in the eveningswhen they come here to rest for the night." She replies. "They should be here any minute now actually."
  568. >You look at the pile of branches in the corner
  569. "How many jackalopes are we talking about here?"
  570. >"A few hundred." She answers to your bewilderment
  571. "A few hundred?!" You repeat her words. "And you all sleep inside this cave? How do you even fit here?"
  572. >"I mean, it is a tight fit to be fair, but it keeps everyone warm so I don't need to get a fire going at night which saves me fuel
  573. >You nod
  574. >That makes sense, but...
  575. "Um, do you thing they would be afraid of me?"
  576. >If they didn't come here to sleep that could pose significant problems
  577. >"Don't worry about that, I can talk to them." She says. "They will be hesitant at first, but they shoud get used to you in time."
  578. "You can talk to animals?" You voice your curiosity
  579. >"Everyone can. It is another question whether they fully comprehend you or not." She answers. "They are not exactly intelligent in the way that you and I are."
  580. >That is interesting and warrants a lot of inquiry, but there are more important things right now
  581. "How do you get the fire started in the morning again?" You ask
  582. >"Just some fire magic, nothing fancy."
  583. >Right
  584. >Magic is a thing
  585. >Which makes you wonder...
  586. "What can you do with magic?"
  587. >"That is a very broad question. What do you need exactly?"
  588. "Can you shape stone?"
  589. >She looks thoughtful for a second
  590. >"It isn't impossible, but not with the power I have right now." She answers. "I'd need a lot more love than these jackalopes give me."
  591. >Which begs the question what classifies as love, but you keep that question to yourself for now
  592. "Okay, we can use mud then. How about that?"
  593. >She shrugs
  594. >"I can do that, no problem." She says looking at you curiously. "What are we doing?"
  595. "We will build a chimney."
  596.
  597. >Naturally, you needed some materials to buils a chimney
  598. >Namely mud and rocks about the size of your feet
  599. >Too big and you'd have a hard time lifting
  600. >Too small and you'd need more mud
  601. >Which turns out is hard to come by
  602. >Soil is frozen so you'd be spending a lot of time and energy to get even a small amount of dirt
  603. >However, if there are wolves and jackalopes around here there must be some water
  604. >You suspect a hotspring
  605. "Where do the jackalopes get water from?" You ask you equine friend
  606. >"There is a swamp consisting of hot water ponds about half an hour's distance from here." She answers
  607. >Turns out you were right about the hotspring
  608. "Can you like, fly us there?" You point to her wings
  609. >"Flying that far in weather this cold is a bad idea." She answers. "I almost lost my wings to frostbite last time I tried."
  610. >That's bad news, because you don't think you can walk there and come back
  611. >Even with the wolf pelt your toes would likely freeze and fall off
  612. >Building a fire and spending the night there is not an option either since you'd have no protection against the wind and snow
  613. >"Why do you want to get there anyway? Can't you just use snow for water?" She asks
  614. "I need the mud to build a chimney." You reply
  615. >"Why do we need a chimney anyway? Jackalopes bring enough wood to last."
  616. "The cave would be a lot warmer than it is now."
  617. >She looks thoughtful for a few seconds
  618. >"I could teleport there and teleport back here with the mud." She suggests
  619. >"I normally wouldn't since it'd use too much energy and leave me vulnerable against wolves, but I don't think I need to worry about that anymore." She glances at the charred wolf carcass
  620. "That is a great idea, that way the mud won't freeze on the way back here either." You exclaim. "Now we just need some rocks about this big." You gesture
  621. "Though it might be hard to find under the snow." You think aloud
  622. >"I can bring rocks as well, I'm sure jackalopes would know where to find some." She replies
  623. "Are you sure?" You ask worried. "It isn't too much right?"
  624. >"Too much? Don't insult me demon. I am the queen of changelings!" She declares
  625. >That earns her a raised eye brow and a curious look from you
  626. >"I-I mean I'll be fine." She stammers. "Heh- Heheh~" She laughs awkwardly as she shrinks back
  627. "Okay... If you say so." You are curious about the queen thing, but awkwardness is palpable so you decide to save it for when you know each other better
  628. >Speaking of which, you haven't even asked her name yet have you?
  629. "Damn, I forgot to-" Suddenly the pile of spare wood in the corner catches fire before you can finish your sentence
  630. "What the fuck?!" You rush towards them as thunder roars outside
  631. >You take off your jacket to beat the fire out
  632. >Before you can however, your equine friend's horn glows for a second and the fire dies down
  633. >"Please stop using the Forbidden Tongue." She requests
  634. "Forbidden Tongue? You mean I can't even say da-" You stop yourself and take a deep breath
  635. "Well, at least I know what it does now." You sigh. "I was meaning to ask you your name."
  636. >"I am Que-" She stops herself as her face falls. "I mean, it's Chrysalis." She replies. "Please don't use my name in the same sentence with Forbidden Words."
  637. >You laugh sheepishly
  638. "Yeah, my bad. I'm still getting used to this whole not using the Forbidden Tongue thing." You apologize. "Can I call you Chryssy?"
  639. >"Chryssy?!" She staggers. "I mean, I suppose?"
  640. "Great! My name is Anonymous, but you can call me Anon." She grins
  641.
  642. >Be Chrysalis
  643. >That demon actually gave you his name! What a fool!
  644. >Now you can command him as you wish!
  645. >You no longer have to be afraid of him!
  646. "Demon Anonymous, I command you to reclaim the Changeling Kingdom in my name and banish those who betrayed me!" You exclaim
  647. >"What? How strong do you think I am?" He objects. "And what do you mean you command me? You might be a queen or whatever, but I am not your subject. Not to mention we practiacally just met."
  648. >You stare at him bewildered
  649. >You are speechless
  650. >You spoke his name, right?
  651. >Did he give you a fake name?!
  652. >He must've! There is no way a demon can resist against its own name
  653. >Right?
  654. >"Anyway look." He speaks. "You've been acting weird so I feel like I should make some things clear."
  655. >"You might've been a queen or whatever, but here, we are just two souls trying to survive the day." He explains.
  656. >"It's clear that you are struggling with this whole thing, so if you want to talk I am here to listen. Just stop acting like a weirdo."
  657. >You look down at your hooves
  658. >There goes another chance for you to reclaim your title and more importantly dignity
  659. >You are so tired of being betrayed, abandoned, let down and disappointed
  660. >You are sick of living in this frozen wasteland
  661. >You feel tears welling up in your eyes
  662. >You stomp with your good hoof to stop yourself from crying, but tears just start streaming down your cheeks
  663. >Stop it! You can't be crying in front of a demon!
  664. >He's gonna laugh at and belittle you
  665. >"Hey hey! It's okay, it's alright." You feel his arms wrapping around your withers
  666. >It's been more than a decade since you lost your throne
  667. >Almost a decade here in the tundra
  668. >All this time, you never mourned what you had lost
  669. >You have always kept your mind busy with plotting a revenge or just getting through the day
  670. >Now all that you buried starts to erupt as you start sobbing in the arms of a demon
