Afterglow (Sunset)

 

The warmth on your chest slowly fades away into the cool air of your bedroom. You look up to the ceiling fan above you lamenting that the events of the last hour finally had to be over. You let out a soft breath and close your eyes to try to hold onto the afterglow as long as you can, but the feelings of your naked body on top of the sheets instead of under them is starting to get a bit distracting. You turn your head to your doorway to see those lovely teal eyes looking between you and the glass of wine that her finger is tracing around.

 

"Something up?" you ask as she silently leans against the door frame.

 

A little smile creeps across her face through her tired eyes as she looks back down to her glass. "Oh, just enjoying the view."

 

Sunset saunters over to you, her bare feet barely making a noise as they brush along the carpet. Her gait is fatigued after the night you'd just had together, making every second you spent not holding her again feel like an eternity. Your eyes naturally flow down her lovely red and yellow locks to the bare skin of showing her bathrobe graciously reveals. She sets the glass down onto the nightstand and falls into the bed beside you. Your hands quickly move to greet her, pushing the fluffy fabric off of her shoulder and down her arm to reveal that beautiful body that'd been on top of you mere moments ago. She lets the bathrobe slide off her other arm and into the floor and eagerly crawls into your arms across the sheets.

 

Your entire body relaxes as you feel that warm, soft skin press up against you again. Her luscious hair falls off of her shoulder and onto you as you roll back and let her head rest on your bare shoulder, each strand gently brushing down your body as she settled in. You run your hand down her curves along her hips, almost disappointed to find the black fabric clinging to them again.

 

"You put your panties back on?" you whisper down to her.

She gives you a playful smile. "You would too if you wanted to walk around after someone just came in you," she whispers back before planting a quick kiss on your chest and settling back into you.

 

 

With a few sly movements you jerk the covers up over the two of you with your foot, fighting away the constant breeze of the ceiling fan so you can simply revel in the warmth of the most wonderful girl the world. The top of the sheets falls gently over her shoulder and you catch her snuggling into it by tugging it close to her mouth. Her beautiful eyes peek up through her hair and catch you staring down at her. You feel a comfortable warmth spread through your whole body at the sight of her looking up at you, her lips only slightly curled up in a tired, content little smirk.

 

"I love you," she whispers with a slight squeeze of all of her limbs around you, making sure this moment didn't have to end.

 

You lean down and place the hand that isn't wrapped around her on the back of her head and give her a gentle kiss on the forehead. "I love you too, Sunset."

 

As your head settles back into the pillow, you make sure to hold Sunset close, soaking in every little feeling of her body, her hair, her soft breaths against you and finally close your tired eyes with a content smile. You knew this was as close to heaven as you could ever get, but you still couldn't wait for tomorrow since you'd get to wake up next to your angel all over again.
