Background:

Anon was a regular human in our world before some accident or event on Earth led to him emerging on Equestria, at the same time as Princess Celestia vanished.

Transformed into a pony and slapped in the middle of a rapidly deteriorating and chaotic situation he felt responsible for, Anon set out on an adventure to save Equestria leading to a several year long mission to help who he could. Along the way befriending Discord, trying to find Celestia and then, at the end of his journey, ascending to Alicornhood after the tree of harmony forced it upon him in a moment of desperation when an enemy was mere moments from destroying it.

 

Failing to find Celestia and now transformed into an Alicorn himself Anon was looked to as royalty before he even officially took the throne. With no alternative and committed to resolving a situation he suspected he was at fault for in the first place Anon claimed the throne hoping to return peace to ponydom and one day return throne & crown to its true rulers.

 

Motivations:

Anon's primary desire is to protect and rule over ponykind in absence of their 'true rulers' he feels this way due to a misguided sense of guilt that his presence in Equestria might have somehow caused Celestia's disappearance, paired with his ascension to alicornhood and seeing how poorly ponykind was being treated in her absence he took the throne out of a sense of guilt, obligation and fierce protective streak for ponykind

 

He wants to place Celestia, Luna and Cadence on the throne in his place one day as it 'should be'. Believing himself to be little more than a steward despite being regarded fondly by his subjects

 

Anon is on lookout for the possibility that darker things might be present in this world, the likes of creepypastas, infection AU stories or other 'ripple' effects possibly caused by him are things which gnaw at him, Anon wants to protect his little ponies from whatever possible horror might be lurking to hurt them however unlikely.

 

He wants to try to ensure Equestria reaches a bright, thriving future that he knows it can reach despite his frustrations with the writing when it was just a tv show to him.

 

Anon's desire to ensure Equestria has a bright future is sometimes at odds with his personal feelings about what should be done. He knows, to an extent, the future but worries that acting on his own desires or what he feels would make more sense to do could irrecoverably ruin things for his little ponies and perhaps make things worse somehow.

 

 

Traits:

-Selfless, he would rather he be hurt or in danger than any other pony.

-Firm yet Fair, Anon aspires to be flexible in ruling Equestria.

-Protective, Anon can't stand cruelty or harm befalling his subjects, especially the youngest of them.

-Creative-Mage, having if only initially a poor grasp on magic Anon focused more on creative use of his magic than raw power.

-Avid reader, in the absence of the internet, video games and streaming services Anon took to reading to both fill the entertainment void and to educate himself on his new world, reading now being his primary, and perhaps only, hobby he permits himself.

 

 

Flaws:

-He grapples with indecision and doubt over his actions when it comes to potentially altering the future or the lives of certain subjects and this can leave him floundering

-Selfless to a fault, desiring to protect others is noble but putting yourself in harms way when you're the ruler of an entire species can be foolish at best

-Easily frustrated, even with centuries under his belt (his wings?) Anon can be short tempered with certain things

-Overly reserved, whereas Celestia was warm and playful Anon can come across as dry, cool and outright numb at times. Many call him stoic but he's mainly just not paying attention, lost in thought or trying to keep whomever he's speaking to at a distance.
