    Chapter 1: I'VE LOST MY DEER'S EYE
  2. 2.

  3. 3.
    ---------------
  4. 4.

  5. 5.
    >Rubble, dust, burned leaves, fallen trees
  6. 6.
    >Everywhere little Angel looked, there was nothing but the aftermath of a bloody persecution
  7. 7.
    >Anything, but his precious deer's eye
  8. 8.
    >Yesterday, he saw it go away into the forest, by itself
  9. 9.
    >That wasn't good
  10. 10.
    >Right in the middle of the night too
  11. 11.
    >He figured he'd go early in the morning
  12. 12.
    >Which he did
  13. 13.
    >Today he had gone out through the rabbit hole in Fluttershy's sanctuary
  14. 14.
    >Its super easy to traverse through it
  15. 15.
    >It is just a manner of pattern memorization, and following the signs on each path
  16. 16.
    >All the paths he made branch from Fluttershy's home
  17. 17.
    >Therefore, if he gets lost, all he has to do is look back
  18. 18.
    >Obviously, Fluttershy doesn't know about this
  19. 19.
    >Why would she? A rabbit as proud as Angel can only share so much of its affairs with the rest of the animals
  20. 20.
    >As a result, if Angel doesn't come back by the next day, Fluttershy will immediately start looking for him
  21. 21.
    >And she'll start asking her friends to help, if it takes him that long to return home
  22. 22.
    >Pinkie Pie is notoriously good at finding him
  23. 23.
    >Unfortunately for Angel, he wasn't going home without his deer's eye
  24. 24.
    >He was just that comitted to finding it
  25. 25.
    >Fortunately, he followed one of the bird's directions into the mountains
  26. 26.
    >It only took him 3 hours to reach the outskirts of Canterlot
  27. 27.
    >So it was still early
  28. 28.
    >That's when he encountered...
  29. 29.
    >someone else
  30. 30.
    >Green coat, with a dark grey mane
  31. 31.
    >He actually can't remember the last time he saw one of those ponies
  32. 32.
    >And just as quickly as he spotted him, he called out his name
  33. 33.
    >And then, he saw something come out of the woods
  34. 34.
    >He saw Him
  35. 35.
    >He never liked Him, from the very first day he appeared in Ponyville
  36. 36.
    >His fake smile, his fake charisma
  37. 37.
    >All hiding something different that Angel himself was too fearful to ask
  38. 38.
    >This is why his deer's eye was so important to him
  39. 39.
    >To protect him and ward off the evil spirits
  40. 40.
    >''Oh, Angel?''
  41. 41.
    >Unfortunately, it found him
  42. 42.
    >His voice brought him back to the present
  43. 43.
    >Before he could even move an inch, he was immobilized by green magic
  44. 44.
    >That's when He entered his field of view
  45. 45.
    >''You know I've been looking for you all day, right? Fluttershy said you didn't say anything''
  46. 46.
    >Anon, as he called himself, had the biggest shit eating grin on his face
  47. 47.
    >Something Angel despised deeply
  48. 48.
    >''The way I see it, its just the two of us now...''
  49. 49.
    >Angel is then, levitated, and brought face to face with the unicorn
  50. 50.
    >Anon drops his smile suddenly
  51. 51.
    >''..and I would like to keep it that way''
  52. 52.
    >He brings him closer, almost eye to eye
  53. 53.
    >''Capish?''
  54. 54.
    >Angel has no option but to frantically nod
  55. 55.
    >Upon doing so, he falls on his butt upon being released
  56. 56.
    >''Good boy!''
  57. 57.
    >A sudden, spark of magic happens behind the two of them
  58. 58.
    >From it, a purple alicorn, appears
  59. 59.
    >''Anon! How is-''
  60. 60.
    >She stops mid sentence
  61. 61.
    >''What happened here?''
  62. 62.
    >He shrugs
  63. 63.
    >''Oh, you know, I was doing a practice run on those spells you taught me, and then I found Angel!''
  64. 64.
    >He brings his body down, forcing Angel into a hug using his left front leg and hoov
  65. 65.
    >''Ain't that right friend?''
  66. 66.
    >Angel is forced to nod and smile
  67. 67.
    >''Oh! Okay...I got some news I wanna discuss with you, actually...''
  68. 68.
    >Anon recoils, raising his eyebrow
  69. 69.
    >''Why didn't Spike do it?'
  70. 70.
    >''Oh, he's feeling sick, he's got some sort of...flu''
  71. 71.
    >A gentle (fake) smile appears in Anon's face
  72. 72.
    >''And you decided to deliver these news to me personally? Wow, look at you! Princess Twilight Sparkle, Express Friendship Delivery Service!''
  73. 73.
    >Twilight giggles lightly, covering her mouth with her left hoof
  74. 74.
    >''Yeah, I like delivering news. Anyway, Pinkie Pie found some glitter dust on the exposition room. I thought you should know''
  75. 75.
    >Wait, what are they talking about?
  76. 76.
    >''Oh yeah, glitter dust''
  77. 77.
    >Anon bites his lip while looking at the floor
  78. 78.
    >''Hmm, glitter dust''
  79. 79.
    >He ponders deeply into the cliff side
  80. 80.
    >''I know someone familiar with it, but she's not a thief as far as I'm concerned''
  81. 81.
    >''Oh!'', Anon exclaims, turning around excitedly, ''isn't that the unicorn you told me about? What was her name, Trish...?''
  82. 82.
    >''Trixie?''
  83. 83.
    >''Bingo! You told me about her! Didn't she try to use the Alicorn Amulet once and nearly took over Equestria?''
  84. 84.
    >Twilight looks down, supporting her chin on her hoof
  85. 85.
    >''I dunno, she learned her lesson long ago, I doubt she'd do something like that again...''
  86. 86.
    >Right as she says that, Anon then leans on Twilight, wrapping his arm around her
  87. 87.
    >''Right, but she's a magician right? C'mon, that's gotta mean something!''
  88. 88.
    >She nods, slightly
  89. 89.
    >''Right...right...''
  90. 90.
    >''Well'', Anon says as he unwraps from Twilight, ''it doesn't mean she's guilty. But it makes her a suspect!''
  91. 91.
    >Anon looks down at angel, his mask slipping away for a split second
  92. 92.
    >''Anyway, I gotta visit Fluttershy and tell her Angel's fine.''
  93. 93.
    >Twilight spreads her wings
  94. 94.
    >''Right, I'll see you at the castle''
  95. 95.
    >''See ya!''
  96. 96.
    >''Bye''
  97. 97.
    >Anon looks up at Twilight, taking off to Canterlot
  98. 98.
    >''Oh that castle...''
  99. 99.
    >By the time Twilight took flight, Angel was already long gone
  100. 100.
    >At least gone from Anon's field of view
  101. 101.
    >He managed to reach his secret tunnel via a hidden rock entrance that Anon barely missed
  102. 102.
    >As he traversed through his tunnel system, he can't help but think about what has happened as of late
  103. 103.
    >This can't be a coincidence, he thought
  104. 104.
    >His deer's eye is gone and now the unicorn maniac has eyes all over him
  105. 105.
    >He knew he had something to do with the dissapearance of the green ponies
  106. 106.
    >After all, how could he be the only one living here?
  107. 107.
    >Oh what if there were others?
  108. 108.
    >As the anxiety slowly creeps over Angel, he spots slides down a downward slope of the tunnel
  109. 109.
    >As he has done so many times before
  110. 110.
    >Well, two or three times
  111. 111.
    >Unexpectedly, he spotted a new opening, which he was rapidly approaching at a high velocity
  112. 112.
    >The fight earlier must've shaped the earth just enough to uncover an underground lake
  113. 113.
    >Which Angel, was now unwillingly travelling through
  114. 114.
    >Not for long though, as he surfaced the water shortly after
  115. 115.
    >His desperate gasps for air echoed trough the pitch black darkness he found himself in
  116. 116.
    >As well as the sounds of a distant waterfall
  117. 117.
    >However, the water came to a standstill
  118. 118.
    >Angel found himself swimming in a not so deep body of water
  119. 119.
    >There was no lighting, nor a way to know where the water stopped
  120. 120.
    >There was, however, a gap in the far-nortest wall, from which a very faint source of light illuminated from under the water
  121. 121.
    >Its a good thing Angel knows how to swim, or else he would've been fish food long ago
  122. 122.
    >He takes a deep breath, and tries his best to dive underneath the wall
  123. 123.
    >Upon surfacing, the light is almost blinding
  124. 124.
    >Angel recognizes this cave entrance! It is located just bellow the Rainbow Falls
  125. 125.
    >And would you look at that! There's a familiar looking necklace, floating in the water!
  126. 126.
    >His deer's eye!
  127. 127.
    >As he swims excitedly to it, he stops upon noticing something else
  128. 128.
    >The unconcious body of a green stallion
  129. 129.

  130. 130.
    ------------------------------
  131. 131.

  132. 132.
    >Ouch
  133. 133.
    >You try your best to open your eyes, but the pain surrounding your body is overwhelming
  134. 134.
    >Even as you open your eyelids, everything is blurry
  135. 135.
    >You can make out some shades of green, blue, and darkness around you
  136. 136.
    >The ringing in your ears is eventually drowned by the sound of a nearby waterfall
  137. 137.
    >You're cold, the water around you is freezing
  138. 138.
    >But you're not floating, rather, it seems you've washed ashore an underwater lake
  139. 139.
    >As you slowly regain your vision, you also get to feel something, wrapped around your neck
  140. 140.
    >Gently, like a collar
  141. 141.
    >You use your two hooves to support yourself as you try to get up
  142. 142.
    >Looking down, you notice something that wasn't there before
  143. 143.
    >Some sort of...bean, wrapped around a red string
  144. 144.
    >This better not be some form of waste pit where the ponies of Canterlot throw their garbage in
  145. 145.
    >It doesn't smell too bad, though
  146. 146.
    >The cave seems to be wide enough to host a pool party
  147. 147.
    >You'll figure out what the meassuring system is later on
  148. 148.
    >As you get overwhelmed by random ass thoughts, you reconsider what just happened
  149. 149.
    >You turn around, and look into the cave
  150. 150.
    >There's no one here but you, it seems
  151. 151.
    >There's something else too...
  152. 152.
    >It would seem there's some sort of trail imprinted in the gravel floor of the entrance
  153. 153.
    >Looking closer, it seems to be a trail of hooves, imprited by some form of glitter
  154. 154.
    >And it leads to a tunnel entrance, that contorts into the left
  155. 155.
    >Squinting your eyes, you manage to identify a pulsing red hue, on the walls of the tunnel
  156. 156.
    >The pain in your left side has gotten worse, forcing you to release a loud SSSSSS sound
  157. 157.
    >Looking at it, there's all manner of things that have penetrated your coat
  158. 158.
    >Rocks, pebbles, sticks, leaves
  159. 159.
    >Your thigh is severely bruised too, who knows when you'll be able to walk again
  160. 160.
    >You ear picks up a sound, echoing through the cave
  161. 161.
    >STEP
  162. 162.
    >STEP
  163. 163.
    >STEP
  164. 164.
    >That's when a shadowy figure peeks from the entrance of the tunnel
  165. 165.
    >You see a pair of eyes, twinkling in the dark
  166. 166.
    >Its staring right at you
  167. 167.
    >You don't even know what to say
  168. 168.
    >Your body is in too much pain to run away, but right now you're not thinking about the pain
  169. 169.
    >You're thinking about using what little strenght there is left on you to run away
  170. 170.
    >Your breathing has become labored, every gasp has turned into an intense battle for air with each passing second
  171. 171.
    >That's when it stops
  172. 172.
    >Its eyes suddenly dart around the cave, focusing on the cave entrance
  173. 173.
    >Particularly, one spot
  174. 174.
    >Just between two palm trees and a rock, something caught its attention
  175. 175.
    >Try as you might, you can't see it from your point of view
  176. 176.
    >What do you even do at this moment?
  177. 177.
    >Your body is too sore, literally every movement you've been unconciously doing feels like a needle piercing your bones
  178. 178.
    >But the figure is just...standing there
  179. 179.
    >Then, a sudden noise comes from the spot
  180. 180.
    >The sound of moving bush leaves, which makes its way deeper into the forest
  181. 181.
    >You turn around
  182. 182.
    >The fall must've clogged your ears really bad, because you didn't hear the moment the figure closed the distance
  183. 183.
    >Now it stood only 2 feet in front of you
  184. 184.
    >Hooves, whatever
  185. 185.
    >And it is staring down at you
  186. 186.
    >The illumination of the cave entrance has highlighted some crutial details, however
  187. 187.
    >At least its not some monster
  188. 188.
    >It stands in all fours, and most of its body is covered by a dark brown cloak
  189. 189.
    >Its head is also hidden under a hoodie
  190. 190.
    >But because you're below it, you manage to see the face of a mare
  191. 191.
    >A light green mare, with distinct green eyes
  192. 192.
    >And some patches of her dark grey mane covering her ears
  193. 193.
    >...you've seen her before
  194. 194.
    >She breaks the silence by reaching into her cloak with her left hoof
  195. 195.
    >From which, she pulls out a wooden canteen
  196. 196.
    >She moves closer into your left side, and gently sits down
  197. 197.
    ''Hey''
  198. 198.
    >She doesn't respond. Instead, she gently brings her canteen closer to your lips
  199. 199.
    >GULP
  200. 200.
    >GULP
  201. 201.
    >The water tastes...different. Like rock, dirt, and minerals. But you're too thirsty to care
  202. 202.
    >She stops pouring after a couple of seconds
  203. 203.
    >After swallowing, you body tricks you into exhaling deeply
  204. 204.
    >She smiles lightly, before storing her canteen back into her cloak
  205. 205.
    ''What now?''
  206. 206.
    >SHHHH
  207. 207.
    >Shushing, she brings her hoof to your lips
  208. 208.
    >''Rest easy. We'll talk later''
  209. 209.
    >Her voice was barely above a whisper. Soothing, and gentle
  210. 210.
    ''Ok...''
  211. 211.
    >Her smile dissipates, before revealing a pouch from her cloak
  212. 212.
    >As you lay your heard on the floor once more, you can't help but notice the amulet on her neck
  213. 213.
    >Its metallic, dark, and it has a triangular shape
  214. 214.
    >There is a large gap in the center too, formed like a diamond
  215. 215.
    >The sound of the nearby waterfall is soothing
  216. 216.
    >You're starting to fall asleep
  217. 217.
    >''Rest, Anon...''
  218. 218.
    >Your vision goes dark once again
  219. 219.

  220. 220.
    ---------------
  221. 221.

  222. 222.
    >Where Ponyville's library once stood, now stands a huge castle
  223. 223.
    >It still bears some sort of ressemblance to the Golden Oak Library, although much larger, and much more...glittery?
  224. 224.
    >Anon didn't even like it the first time he arrived to Equestria
  225. 225.
    >Much like his ''''friends'''', he would've preferred the Library to be rebuilt after the battle with Tirek
  226. 226.
    >Or as he calls it, Season 5
  227. 227.
    >A lot of things could've been handled different, he thought
  228. 228.
    >But even though he is finally in the world he dreamed of, he is still complaining about it
  229. 229.
    >Perhaps if he was ''''the writer'''' none of this would've happened
  230. 230.
    >Nevertheless, he had finally walked all the way from the mountains in Canterlot to Twilight's Castle
  231. 231.
    >And by walking, really all he did was walk into the Friendship Express and hop in one of the wagons for free
  232. 232.
    >And then he walked from the train station to where he stood currently
  233. 233.
    >If there's one thing he could recognize, is the size of the castle
  234. 234.
    >The tall doors he was about to enter through were quite a sight to behold
  235. 235.
    >A nice shade of gold to contrast against the crystally blue roots of the place
  236. 236.
    >As he walked through staircases and the throne room, he kept pondering about the insides of it
  237. 237.
    >Everywhere he looked, it shined like like nail polish
  238. 238.
    >Except for the Cutie Map, which had been torn appart from the castle floor
  239. 239.
    >He had nothing to do with that, he's sure of it
  240. 240.
    >Going up the fifth staircase in a row, he finally reached Twilights room
  241. 241.
    >Hey that's a funny ammount of smoke just coming through her door
  242. 242.
    >KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK
  243. 243.
    >''Room service!''
  244. 244.
    >''Come in!'', Twilight exclaimed
  245. 245.
    >As he pushed the door, he found himself in a rudymentary laboratory of sorts, with boiling flasks of green liquid, books hovering in the air, a giant cauldron in the middle of the room for no reason whatsoever?
  246. 246.
    >And of course, the Princess of Friendship herself, wearing a white labcoat and a pair of aviator glasses which made her pupils grow three times their size
  247. 247.
    >Cute!
  248. 248.
    >If he hadn't seen this exact set up in previous episodes, he would've been totally shocked
  249. 249.
    >She seems to be meddling with some form of glitter dust
  250. 250.
    >''Did you find anything?''
  251. 251.
    >She turns back to see him
  252. 252.
    >''Nope! I was hoping you could help me look into it''
  253. 253.
    >She then stands aside, revealing a microscope
  254. 254.
    >''And, how do you think I'm going to help, exactly?''
  255. 255.
    >She looks at Anon's butt, his cutiemark
  256. 256.
    >''I thought you said your talent was investigation''
  257. 257.
    >Indeed, that was what Anon had explained previously to the Mane 6
  258. 258.
    >Otherwise, how can you justify a giant question mark as your cutiemark?
  259. 259.
    >''Yeah right, how about I look at it normally this time?''
  260. 260.
    >Indeed, Anon is good at answering questions he already knows
  261. 261.
    >The closer he looked at the glitter dust, he realized something was off
  262. 262.
    >It was too glittery, if it made sense
  263. 263.
    >But it was unlike anything he had seen previously before
  264. 264.
    >''Say, about that...Trixie fella of yours...you sure she doesn't have anything to do with this?''
  265. 265.
    >Twilight pondered, looking up into the roof for answers
  266. 266.
    >''I doubt she'd do it''
  267. 267.
    >He thought about it, before asking again
  268. 268.
    >''Are you sure? Didn't she have the amulet once already?''
  269. 269.
    >Anon had already made up his mind. Its unlikely Trixie had anything to do with this, because her vanishing powder is way different than this
  270. 270.
    >And he's sure it doesn't even work like that, which means this thing is something new
  271. 271.
    >Upon reaching that thought, his heart skipped a beat
  272. 272.
    >This happened yesterday, and today he found another one like him
  273. 273.
    >All of this means that he's no-
  274. 274.
    >''No Anon, she's with Starlight right now. They're looking for the Map as we speak'', Twilight says, smiling innocently
  275. 275.
    >She then reaches for her board, before igniting her horn with purple magic
  276. 276.
    >In that movement she just did, her labcoat was lifted ever so slightly, revealing her cutiemark and the shape of her back
  277. 277.
    >Anon smiled, and bit his lip discretely
  278. 278.
    >''Right'', he said, ''well I'll pass by them on my way to Fluttershy's. You uh, take care!''
  279. 279.
    >''You too!'', she replied, whilst focusing on her board
  280. 280.
    >Is that a Golden Ratio she's scrabbling?
  281. 281.
    >He takes one last good look at her before returning his gaze to the door
  282. 282.
    >That's when his smile quickly dropped
  283. 283.
    >A blue pony standing in the entrance
  284. 284.
    >His least favorite, rainbow colored, blue pegasus pony
  285. 285.
    >And she was mirroring his discontent on her face
  286. 286.
    >He didn't even bother to look at her after recognizing her
  287. 287.
    >He just walked by her and said ''See ya later Rainbow''
  288. 288.
    >Rainbow Dash, on the other hand, could not stop following Anon with her eyes
  289. 289.
    >She didn't even blink, she just waited for Anon to walk down stairs before shutting herself with Twilight
  290. 290.
    >At that distance, he can still overhear the immediate conversation happening in that room
  291. 291.
    >''Why do you thrust this guy?''
  292. 292.
    >''He's a friend!''
  293. 293.
    >''Ever since he showed up, weird things have happened and you expect me to believe HE has nothing to do with it?'
  294. 294.
    >Eugh, that raspy voice of hers is enough to drive Anon away
  295. 295.
    >''He's helping us, Rainbow Dash''
  296. 296.
    >''Come on! So was Discord, then he betrayed, I dunno, several times, and now he's gone!''
  297. 297.
    >''Discord has been gone several times''
  298. 298.
    >''Really? Fluttershy doesn't know anything about him. I'm telling you, he's got something to do with this!''
  299. 299.
    >''And is there evidence to prove he's secretly a super villian?''
  300. 300.
    >''...''
  301. 301.
    >''...?''
  302. 302.
    >''No Twilight.''
  303. 303.
    >''...''
  304. 304.
    >''Cheer up, we're all looking for our friends, alright?''
  305. 305.
    >''I'll keep looking then. Oh, Tank needs a new fan, could you help me out?''
  306. 306.
    >There's some noise coming from the cabinets of the room
  307. 307.
    >''I gotta go talk with the Wonderbolts, see ya!''
  308. 308.
    >The last piece of action Anon hears is a gushing wind sound, exiting Twilight's room
  309. 309.
    >God fucking dammit, he thought
  310. 310.
    >If he didn't have the social skills of a kid with Asperger's he wouldn't be a suspect
  311. 311.
    >Now he's gotta find another red herring to cover up for the thief
  312. 312.
    >...he'll figure something out
  313. 313.
