"Anon's Corruption: Part 13 - Loyalty 3"
-
__________________________________________
-
-
>You wake up the next day feeling refreshed.
-
>A hard day’s work, a good meal, and an even better night’s play will do that for you.
-
>Your eyelids drift open to reveal your goddess sleeping next to you.
-
>Her frazzled golden mane cascades over her shoulder, wild-looking after last night’s escapades.
-
>She’s facing you, mouth slightly open, breathing gently.
-
>She looks so very peaceful.
-
#WARNING: SERVER UNSTABLE
-
#SYNCHRONISATION FAILING...
-
#...UNABLE TO RESOLVE
-
>You’re blinded by a flash of light.
-
>You are Rainbow Dash.
-
>And you feel like you’ve had the longest sleep ever.
-
>Seriously. It feels like you’ve been asleep for two weeks or something.
-
>You should know. You have a lot of experience with sleeping and napping.
-
>But at the moment something weird is going on.
-
>You were convinced you were Anon.
-
>And you were looking through his eyes.
-
>In fact, you still are.
-
>This seems to be some time in the past.
-
>Yes, by now you’ve figured out that this is some kind of memory spell that Anon has put you under with his weird chaos mind powers.
-
>You could totally be an egghead if you wanted to.
-
>But you’re way too cool for that.
-
>Something seems to be wrong though.
-
>You heard something say something about synchronisation?
-
>Either way, there seems to be nothing you can do except watch.
-
>So it’s time to sit back and enjoy the ride.
-
>Things seem to be going pretty well for Anon.
-
>He’s away from Fluttershy.
-
>He’s got the love of a beautiful p0ny.
-
>And he’s sent a letter off to Celestia to deal with his rapist.
-
>You didn’t even know he was dating Applejack at any point.
-
>This must be before she hooked up with you...
-
>Oh, Anon’s getting up.
-
>You stop admiring your beautiful little p0ny to get a start on today’s business.
-
>She’s still sleeping so deeply after last night’s rutting.
-
>It’s unlike her to sleep in so late, so you’re going to have to pick up her slack.
-
>You get out of bed and stretch, hearing the cracking of so many joints that were, until last night, out of use.
-
>Applejack certainly takes a lot out of a man.
-
>And boy does it feel good.
-
>The burn of muscles and ligaments that have seen a good workout.
-
>It’s just like working on the farm.
-
>Good, honest hard work.
-
>And really; that’s an admirable life.
-
>You just wish it could last forever.
-
>You’d take care of the farm, like Granny Smith wants you to.
-
>You’d see Apple Bloom get her cutie mark.
-
>And Big Mac...
-
>Well, he’d be your bro.
-
>The thought of drinking under the stars in the orchard one night, your bro on one side, your mare on the other.
-
>Drinking some warm cider to keep you healthy, Applejack resting her golden locks on your shoulder.
-
>Surrounded by beauty... The prospect of it is so close right now you can taste it.
-
>More important than all of that though...
-
>You want to repay Applejack’s kindness.
-
>Her support through everything you’ve gone through.
-
>Without her, you don’t know what you’d have done.
-
>She’s embodied Fluttershy’s element a thousand times more than that rapist has.
-
>All you need to do is wait for Twilight now.
-
>She’ll come to you with a reply soon.
-
>A reply from Celestia herself on what should be done with Fluttershy.
-
>Justice in the form of a letter.
-
>You feel confident today.
-
>This is the day where everything changes.
-
>You start your daily routine.
-
>You shit, shower and shave.
-
>You head downstairs after dressing to get some apple based breakfast.
-
>Big Mac is already sitting at the table.
-
“Morning, BM!” You cheerily greet him.
-
>”Mornin’, Anon. Ah’ll catch ya later. Ah’ve got a lot t’ say t’ you.”
-
>And before you could grab an apple he gets up and heads out the door.
-
>Was it something you said?
-
>He seemed pretty serious about something.
-
>Then again, he’s always pretty stoic.
-
>But today he seemed a bit off to you.
-
>He didn’t even finish his apple fritters.
-
>You shrug. You have bigger things to worry about at the moment.
-
>You grab a bite to eat from the fridge.
-
>It’s a good thing you really like apples.
-
>And then it’s off into the orchard to start your day.
-
>You step outside only to be greeted by grey sky.
-
>It’s a gloomy day.
-
>The pegasi must have scheduled rain.
-
>You hope it doesn’t get too bad.
-
>You head to the barn first to grab your mallet.
-
>On the way back you see Apple Bloom skulking around one of the wood sheds.
-
>That filly’s looking awfully suspicious this morning...
-
>And you’re pretty sure she should be getting ready for school.
-
>You see her gallop off from one corner to another between the buildings.
-
>She’s trying desperately not to be seen.
-
>But for a bright yellow filly that’s pretty difficult.
-
>You easily follow her, keeping out of sight.
-
>Your lack of hooves makes it much easier to go unnoticed.
-
>P0ny ears are used to listening out for hooffalls, not footsteps.
-
>She stops at the edge of the yard, behind one of the cider stores.
-
>You sneak up close to her and hide behind one of the barrels.
-
>She starts talking.
-
>”Alright, Scootaloo, you sure you can become a vicar?”
-
>”Pfft, sure I can! If that old fuddy duddy Mr. Waddle can do it, then I sure can!” A scratchy voice responds.
-
>”Great! And Sweetie Belle, you can get the suit and dresses from Rarity?”
-
>”I sure can! Anon and Applejack are going to look simply adorable! And I’ll get to be a bridesmaid!” A squeaky voice responds.
-
>”You always get to be the bridesmaid!” Scootaloo complains.
-
>You detect a hint of disappointment in her tone of voice.
-
>It goes unnoticed by Sweetie Belle though, who you can hear hopping with excitement over the prospect of wearing a pretty dress.
-
>”And that just leaves me to talk to Big Mac about becoming best man!” Apple Bloom finishes.
-
>It’s not hard for you to piece together what the girls are doing.
-
>They’re planning a wedding for you and Applejack.
-
>”And once I’ve convinced him, all that’s left is to convince Anon! So all I have to do is get the shotgun!”
-
>WHOA!
-
>You almost drop your mallet in shock.
-
>The conversation just went from adorably naive to dangerous in the blink of an eye.
-
>It almost made you blow your cover.
-
>You need to nip this in the bud. NOW.
-
>You appear from behind your barrel with your mallet hefted over your shoulder.
-
>To the little fillies, the sudden appearance of an adult – the one they were talking about no less – paralyzes them in place.
-
“Now, girls... What’s this I hear about a wedding...?”
-
>It’s obvious that the CMC hadn’t planned for this occasion.
-
>Their initial response is a bunch of stuttering hesitations.
-
>”Um... Uh... Well...” Scootaloo stammers.
-
>”A-Anon! What a pleasant surprise!” Sweetie Belle lies.
-
>It’s Apple Bloom who actually manages to engage you.
-
>”Well, you see... We thought that we could help you Anon...”
-
>”Y-yeah! Apple Bloom keeps talking about how much you love Applejack!” Scootaloo chimes in.
-
>”So we figured we could help speed things along, and find our cutie marks in the process!” Sweetie adds.
-
>”Yeah! That’s right! CUTIE MARK CRUSADER WEDDING PLANNERS! YAAAAAAAAAAAY!”
-
>You stagger backwards from the sheer force of the volume they used to shout that last part.
-
>You didn’t know such small creatures could generate that much noise.
-
>It must be a kid thing.
-
“Look, girls. It’s not that I wouldn’t appreciate your efforts. You’re right. I love Applejack very much. But this isn’t the way you should go about it.”
-
>The three fillies look very guilty all of a sudden.
-
>You hardly managed to lay into them!
-
>Apple Bloom looks up at you with big, round eyes.
-
>”B-but... Aren’t you gonna marry her?”
-
>Ah balls.
-
>You’re not ready for this right now.
-
>It’s not that you haven’t considered all this, it’s just that it’s happening awfully fast.
-
>And there’s so much shit going on in your life right now, you can’t really give it enough attention.
-
“Apple Bloom, you can’t rush these things. When... IF your sister and I decide to get married, it’ll be at our own pace.”
-
>You see tears start to form at the corners of her eyes.
-
>She suddenly rushes towards you in a gallop.
-
>She gives your shin the fiercest hug it has ever experienced.
-
>She sobs into your work trousers.
-
“Ah... Ah just wanted you to be part of the family... Ah want you to be my big brother...”
-
>Your heart goes out to her.
-
>You would truly love to stay here on the farm as part of the Apple family.
-
>Hell, you’ve been doing so just fine for the last week.
-
>Despite your depression, it still felt right being around the Apples.
-
>It’s the closest you’ve felt to home since you arrived here in Equestria.
-
>You kneel down and hug Apple Bloom properly.
-
>She rears back on her hind legs and puts her legs around your shoulders.
-
“Shhh... There, there, Apple Bloom... It’s not like I’m going anywhere. I’ll tell you what. If you want, you can be my honorary little sister, ok?”
-
>Her tears stop, but she sniffles still.
-
>”R-really?”
-
“Sure. But don’t tell Big Mac. He might get jealous.” You joke with a wink.
-
>Apple Bloom giggles, and you take this opportunity to get her to release some endorphins.
-
>Before she can finish laughing, you pick her up and lay her on her back in your arms.
-
>She looks up at you, shocked, but smiles as she realises what you’re about to do.
-
>You lower your mouth to her belly and blow.
-
>She squeals and kicks her legs in delight as you tickle her belly fur.
-
>You move your mouth around her stomach erratically, blowing in bursts.
-
>She loves it when you do this.
-
>A few seconds of teasing later and all is forgiven.
-
>You let Apple Bloom down to the ground with a contented sigh.
-
>She runs to her friends and hugs them too.
-
>”Ah’m sorry girls. Looks like we won’t be getting our cutie marks this way, either.”
-
>”It’s alright, Apple Bloom. We’ll get them eventually.” Scootaloo says.
-
>And now you can’t help yourself.
-
>Your trickster mode is still engaged.
-
“That certainly is a shame... but I know what you fillies are getting instead...”
-
>”W-what...?” Sweetie Belle asks.
-
“THE TICKLE MONSTER”.
-
>The three fillies run away as you drop your mallet and advance on them menacingly.
-
>With your hands outstretched in claws, you track them down one by one and tickle them until their bad moods have lifted.
-
>Eventually you sit down with three exhausted fillies surrounding you.
-
“You feeling much better now, girls?”
-
>They all give a tired, “Mmhmm.” and get up.
-
“Good, then you’d better get off to school.”
-
>And that elicits a collective, “Ahttp://www...” from them.
-
“Well if you girls don’t want to try and get geographer cutie marks from class today...”
-
>And they’re off like three colourful speeding bullets.
-
>It’s incredible how much energy they have in reserve.
-
>”See you later, Anon!” Apple Bloom shouts from down the road.
-
>You smile to yourself.
-
>You always had a way with kids.
-
>Those girls always manage to brighten up dreary days like this.
-
>You pick yourself up off the ground and grab your mallet.
-
>You set off into the orchard to go and collect some apples.
-
-
>You come in at around lunchtime because of the rain.
-
>It started to pour down suddenly about half an hour ago.
-
>You saw it coming. The pegasi must have set off a chain reaction in the clouds.
-
>It started in fine sheets, completely drenching you.
-
>You decided that it wasn’t worth catching a cold to stay out today.
-
>You enter the house and are relieved to find a fire burning brightly in the hearth.
-
>Granny Smith sits in her rocking chair as usual, relishing the warmth in those old bones of hers.
-
>Applejack is sitting next to it, her mane still freely flowing down her shoulders.
-
>Big Mac is sitting at the table, not really doing anything.
-
>You alert them to your presence by shutting the door.
-
>Applejack turns her head to face you.
-
>As soon as she sees you her face lights up like a filly on Hearth Warming’s Eve.
-
>She gets up quickly and gallops to you.
-
>”Anon!”
-
>It’s all she says, but the gleeful tone in her voice says more than her words ever could.
-
>You feel similarly, enjoying the warm glow in your chest, even if your body complains of the cold clothes you’re wearing.
-
>You drop your mallet next to the door quickly and extend your arms to your lover.
-
>She rushes up to you and puts her hooves on your waist.
-
>She tries to get up as high as she can for a kiss, but falls well short.
-
>It’s unfortunate that you are so tall compared to these p0nies.
-
>You let her down onto all fours and kneel down for her.
-
>You place one hand behind her head and draw her in for the kiss.
-
>Your lips touch gently, but firmly; perfectly expressing the passion that you both share.
-
>You dance together, interlocking tongues and simply enjoying the closeness of each other.
-
>It’s times like this that made you realise how much you truly missed being apart from her.
-
>It is like a part of you that you never knew you lost had been returned, making you feel complete.
-
>”Hoo-wee. I remember when my husband and I used to kiss like that! Good to see someone inherited the good kissin’ trait!”
-
>Granny Smith’s outburst brings you back to the room.
-
>You realise that things might have gotten a bit heated in front of Applejack’s family.
-
>Applejack turns away slightly and blushes heavily.
-
>You can’t see it, but you can feel your cheeks doing the same.
-
>”Now don’t you young’uns be ashamed. Yer only showin’ yer love! It’s somethin’ beautiful!”
-
>”Uh... Thanks Granny, but Anon’s lookin’ a mite chilly. Ah should let him get to the fire.”
-
>Applejack’s hastily crafted excuse is nonetheless true.
-
>You gladly hobble your soggy self over to the fire, and feel its warmth seep into your extremities.
-
>Applejack joins you, waiting until you’ve dried a bit before resting her head on your lap.
-
>You smile at the opportunity to spend time with her.
-
>”Anon. Come with me.”
-
>Big Mac’s powerful voice commands you from the other side of the room.
-
>He leaves the house and heads towards the barn.
-
>You pick up your mallet and follow him.
-
>You head back out into the rain, which has since picked up from the time you came in.
-
>You look up and see flashes of light course through the clouds.
-
>Looks like a storm’s picking up.
-
>You hope you don’t get caught in it.
-
>You trudge through the muddy ground behind Big Mac.
-
>He’s usually serious and quiet, but his silence this time gives you a sense of unease.
-
>Once inside he shuts the door and bars it.
-
>He’s got an odd look plastered on his face.
-
“So, what do you want to talk about, BM?”
-
>”It’s about you, Anon. Ah’d like you to sit down for this.”
-
>Big Mac is usually blunt with what he has to say, if he has to say anything at all.
-
>It’s not like him to tread so delicately around a subject.
-
“Alright. So hit me with the big news, Bro. If you want, you can be my best man. Heh heh.”
-
>Your joke does nothing to brighten his grim face.
-
“Ok. What’s wrong?”
-
>You’re worried now.
-
>”Partner, it’ll do you no good to get worked up. Calm down. Ah haven’t even told you it yet.”
-
>You don’t calm down, but you brace yourself for what he says next.
-
>”Anon, Ah want you to know that Ah love ya. Yer the best thing to happen to this family in a long time. Applejack loves ya, Apple Bloom adores ya, an’ Granny smith thinks yer better than Zap apple jam on a fresh muffin.”
-
>Ok... So he’s coming on to you?
-
>”But... Ah’m afraid yer goin’ to have to leave.”
-
>WHAT?!
-
“Whoa, whoa, whoa. Let’s stop right there, Big Mac. I’m not going anywhere. I love Applejack. I’m not going to leave her and the farm.”
-
>Big Mac silences you with a powerful stomp of his hoof that makes the tools on the wall shake with the reverberations.
-
>It’s perfectly timed with a flash of lightning that illuminates his twisted face.
-
>It’s simply all the more impactful.
-
>”Dangit, Anon! Don’t make this any harder than it already is!”
-
>He’s snorting steam from his nostrils.
-
>His usually placid face has contorted itself into a fierce scowl.
-
>It’s actually terrifying to see him angry.
-
>But he also looks... pained?
-
“What, you just expect me to leave, Big Mac? Just like that? How dare you?! You said yourself that everyone loves me. I love them too! What’s the problem if we’re all such a big, happy family?”
-
>”Because we ain’t sellin’ no more apples.”
-
“W-what?!”
-
>”Y’heard me. We ain’t sellin’ apples when we go to market no more. That’s where Ah was today. Ah sat in the market. Not one apple sold. Nobody wants to buy from us. Applejack sits on the stall all day takin’ the evil eye from everyp0ny she meets. Rumours are flyin’ ‘round, Anon. Rumours ‘bout Applejack stealin’ you from Fluttershy.”
-
>Fluttershy...
-
>That name... Her deeds... They bring out a rage in you that you didn’t know was there.
-
>She’s determined to ruin your life by any means possible.
-
>”P0nies don’t wanna buy from a homewrecker. Ah believe ya. Ah believe everythin’ you say happened to ya. Ah’ve seen how you reacted. Ah’ve seen how Applejack reacted. Who d’ya think carried ya to bed that night?”
-
>Huh. Well you guess that makes sense.
-
>”But Fluttershy... She’s already poisoned the well. She’s got her hooks into the town first and once p0nies get an idea in their heads, they’re damn difficult to get rid of. But if you stay here, Anon, the farm will die. Less and less p0nies buy from us each day. Ah... Ah don’t wanna do this...”
-
>A tear escapes his eye and rolls down his red cheek.
-
>”But Ah won’t take no for an answer. Ah know it’ll hurt. It’ll hurt everyp0ny. But Ah can’t see mah dad’s farm die. Ah made a promise long ago.”
-
>You look down pensively.
-
>You think.
-
>Big Mac has thought about this long and hard.
-
>It’s only right you do the same.
-
>What are your options?
-
>If you stay, Big Mac is going to buck you.
-
>Do you think you can take him?
-
>You’ve got your mallet.
-
>You would probably have one chance at a swing before he bucked your head clean off.
-
>But what’s the point?
-
>So, let’s say you win: What next?
-
>How do you explain to Applejack what you’ve done?
-
>And what good does it do to the p0nies in town?
-
>They’ll just think you’re some violent ape.
-
>You’re already the bad guy in their minds.
-
>”Hurting poor Fluttershy like that.”
-
>She probably played the victim...
-
>So then what if you leave?
-
>Where will you go?
-
>Where CAN you go?
-
>Back to Fluttershy?
-
>No. Never.
-
>You’ll never go back to her as long as you have breath in your body.
-
>So... where then?
-
>Twilight has been your only true ally in this other than Applejack.
-
>The others are ignorant to what happened that night.
-
>Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash; They have no idea of the true horror that Fluttershy inflicted upon you.
-
>It’s not that they wouldn’t help you.
-
>It’s that they’d probably try to get you back together with Fluttershy.
-
>You... You need to go see Twilight.
-
>The rain continues to pour outside, mercilessly beating on the barn roof while one of the most important conversations of your life takes place.
-
>The pitter-pattering of raindrops on roof tiles is the only noise that you hear as it echoes throughout the barn.
-
>You look up to Big Mac, pleadingly.
-
“You... You sure I can’t change your mind, bro?”
-
>He shakes his big red head.
-
>”Nnnnope.”
-
“Then you leave me no choice.”
-
>You stand up.
-
>You take up your mallet.
-
>Big Mac takes up a strong stance.
-
>He paws the ground with a forehoof.
-
>He’s ready to charge.
-
>Steam pours from his nostrils in violent bursts.
-
>You raise your mallet in front of you.
-
>And throw it in front of him.
-
>He’s confused.
-
>He lets down his defences.
-
>And that’s when you strike.
-
>You rush in close to him.
-
>And wrap your arms around his neck.
-
>You hug him tightly.
-
>He’s still in shock from your surprising tactics, but when he feels you mean him no harm, he relaxes.
-
>When you feel his muscles go slack, you embrace him even more tightly.
-
>It’s an embrace of brothers.
-
>You feel your shoulder become wet.
-
>He’s crying.
-
>It’s funny.
-
>You should be crying too.
-
>But you’re not.
-
>It’s not his fault.
-
>It’s not your fault.
-
>And yet you’re both left to deal with the fallout.
-
“I’m sorry Big Mac...”
-
>”Ah... Ah just don’t see any other way, Anon...”
-
“It’s fine. Just... Take care of them for me, ok?”
-
>He nods almost imperceptibly.
-
>But you know he means it more than anything.
-
>You let him go and exit the barn.
-
>He stays there, sobbing until he has calmed down.
-
>He has to be strong for his family.
-
>Just like he always has.
-
>Just as loyal as ever.
-
-
>”TWILIGHT! We have to make him see! Cast the memory spell on Fluttershy!” Spike shouts.
-
>Twilight’s horn glows with an eerie light.
-
>Her eyes billow blackish red smoke and her eyes glow green.
-
>A beam of darkness attaches itself to Fluttershy, who goes tense in her restraints.
-
>A similar beam hits you in the chest.
-
>You’re powerless to resist the spell, being as weak as you are.
-
>A flash of light overtakes your vision...
