  3. ___________________________________
  4.
  5. >The storm thunders above you and pelts down its cold deluge in thick sheets.
  6. >You trudge through the now muddy ground between the farm and the house.
  7. >You open the door to the farmhouse with purpose.
  8. >You’re immediately bathed in the warmth of a glowing fire in the fireplace.
  9. >The sweet smell of applewood wafts its way into your nostrils.
  10. >It’s a delightful scent.
  11. >Although you haven’t stayed here long, it’s homely.
  12. >You take a deep breath.
  13. >Yes. This feels like home.
  14. >Which is going to make your deception that much harder.
  15. >You spot Applejack lying in front of the fire with Granny Smith in her rocking chair next to her.
  16. >With her hat off, Applejack’s golden locks fall majestically down her neck and shoulders.
  17. >As you close the door she turns her head to look at you.
  18. >Her emerald eyes, glittering in the firelight, light up and shimmer even more when she sees you.
  19. >She springs up and gallops towards you.
  20. >”Anon!”
  21. >She comes to a stop in front of you and nuzzles your hand.
  22. >You know what she wants.
  23. >Even with your cold fingers you can feel the silky smooth softness of her coat through the numbness.
  24. >Her warmth brings life back to you and reignites your senses.
  25. >You scratch her behind her ear.
  26. >She leans into your hand, eyes closed and relishing your touch.
  27. “I was only gone a few minutes...!”
  28. >”Yeah, but Ah missed ya...”
  29. >This is the sensitive side of Applejack that only you get to see.
  30. >She’s an honest, caring, passionate soul, but she hides it underneath her brash exterior.
  31. >Sure, she’s strong. She’d take down almost anyp0ny in a fight with her powerful buck.
  32. >But she’s still feminine. From the curves of her body to her innermost thoughts, she’s woman through and through.
  33. >You stop scratching her and stroke her mane.
  34. >For a second it reminds you of what you used to do with Fluttershy...
  35. >Before the incident.
  36. >A twinge of pain stabs at your heart.
  37. >You try to block out the images that threaten to send you into a panic attack.
  38. >Your mind is already in turmoil from the conversation you just had with Big Mac.
  39. >You need to focus here.
  40. >You have to play this very carefully.
  41. >”So what did Big Mac talk to you about?”
  42. >Your hand unconsciously hesitates in her mane.
  43. >You smile as brightly as you can.
  44. “He wanted me to head into town for a few things.”
  45. >”In this weather?! Is that stallion crazy or somethin’?”
  46. >Applejack snorts steam out of her nostrils.
  47. “It’s fine, Applejack. I’m going to head in and see Twilight now.”
  48. >”You’re really heading out into that storm?”
  49. “A man’s gotta do what a man’s gotta do.”
  50. >”Well... Alright. Let’s go.”
  51. “N-NO!” You say, just a little too quickly.
  52. >Applejack is taken aback by your outburst.
  53. “I-I’ll be fine, Applejack. It’s nothing for you to be concerned about.”
  54. >”But Ah like spendin’ time with you... We don’t often get to go into town together.”
  55. >Oh balls.
  56. >She’s pulling the relationship card on you.
  57. >Wat do?
  58. >How did you get here? You are not good with relationship.
  59. “I know, honey, but there’s no need for two of us to catch a cold. We can go out another time together.”
  60. >”Well... I guess so...”
  61. >You smile once more, putting on your best grin.
  62. “That’s my girl. I’ll see you so-“
  63. >”Anon. C’mere.”
  64. >Granny Smith has summoned you.
  65. >And there is no arguing with Granny Smith.
  66. >Like an obedient dog you walk over to the fireplace where she sits on her infamous rocking chair.
  67. “Yes, Granny?”
  68. >She motions with a hoof for you to come closer.
  69. >You lean down and place an ear to her wizened lips.
  70. >She whispers to you.
  71. >”Son, I’ve seen that fake grin twice before in Applejack’s life. Once when her father said he’d be back, and the second time when the police officer came into our home the next day. Ah don’t know what yer plannin’, but get whatever harebrained scheme it is out of your head and promise me you’ll come back.”
  72. >You’re flustered to hear what she’s telling you.
  73. >It’s thrown you off your game.
  74. “Uh... G-granny, I don’ t know what you mean-“
  75. >”Promise me. Promise me now. Don’t make me think I was wrong about you, son. Don’t go breakin’ my little girl’s heart.”
  76. >As she scolds you and pecks you into submission, her eyes look at you with wisdom and experience.
  77. >As you look into those pools of slightly milky orange and black, you see something else in them.
  78. >In the gloom created by the storm outside, it’s illuminated by the firelight.
  79. >It’s hope.
  80. >Hope that is so close to being squashed by you.
  81. “I give you my word, Granny Smith. I’ll come back.”
  82. >”Then that’s good enough for me.Now go on. Get. The sooner you get movin’, the sooner you can come back.”
  83. >You stand up and nod to her.
  84. >You walk briskly across to the front door, where Applejack still stands.
  85. >”What was that abo-“
  86. >You cut her off with a deep kiss.
  87. >You know it’s the last you’ll have from her in a long time.
  88. >You’re so close to tears right now, that you don’t want her to see.
  89. >So you make sure she closes her eyes through the kiss.
  90. >You cup her cheeks and stroke her freckles.
  91. >You want to feel her one last time before you leave.
  92. >You break it.
  93. >You kiss her once more on her forehead.
  94. “Goodbye, Applejack.”
  95. >She looks up at you, stunned.
  96. >And so you take your leave, facing the wind and rain on the path to Ponyville.
  97. >Applejack trots over to the fire, tiredly.
  98. >She slumps down to the floor, unable to keep up appearances any longer.
  99. >”He ain’t comin’ back, is he?”
  100. >Granny Smith answers with her wisdom.
  101. >”He gave me his word, Applejack. He gave me his word that he wouldn’t break your heart.”
  102. >”Well then what use is his word? It’s already breakin’...”
  103. >Applejack can’t hold her tears back any longer, and starts crying.
  104. >She wishes that her tears could fall like the raindrops outside, plentiful and numerous.
  105. >Anything to get her heartache and fear out of her system faster.
  106. >”C’mere, Applejack.”
  107. >Applejack readily picks herself up off the floor and gives herself to the familiar embrace of her grandmother.
  108. >She buries her muzzle into her shoulder and weeps.
  109. >”Lemme tell you a story, Applejack. The night your father left, you were only a little filly. You probably don’t remember much from back then, but it was a stormy night, much like tonight will be. Your mother was coming back from Canterlot, where she had been caught in hospital. Now don’t go askin’ questions about the reason. I’ll get to that later.
  110. “Anyhow, she was in a stagecoach comin’ back to P0nyville, when the stallions drivin’ her got to a bridge that was flooded. The pegasi had a real doozy of a downpour that night. The rain drove down, and the thunder boomed overhead. All the more reason why your mother had to get back to Sweet Apple Acres. The carriage had no choice but to take a detour through the Everfree forest. And you know how dangerous that can be at the best of times.
  111. “Now, your father, he was here in the homestead, and I was sittin’ in this very seat, when what did we hear? A howlin’. And your father ran straight to the door. He knew. He knew it was your mother. He gave me his best winnin’ smile and said ‘I’ll be back.’ I knew he was lyin’. We Apples can tell. But I couldn’t stop him. I knew he had somethin’ to do, and nothin’ in Equestria was gonna stop him.
  112. “He weren’t the kind of stallion to let things lie, was your father. He wouldn’t have been able to live with himself if he didn’t go and try to find your mother. Even through the weather, he delved into that forest. And that was the last of him. Timber wolves, the cowardly coach drivers said. Said he leaped in there and started buckin’ heads left and right. Even though he was outnumbered, he was enraged. He bought enough time for the two stallions to come back with their precious cargo. See, your mother was in hospital because she had just given birth. She made sure that the two stallions carried her child, whilst she and your father fought the wolves. And that’s how we got Apple Bloom.
  113. “So don’t go cryin’. Somethin’ good can come out of this. And I know what kind of character Anon is. He’ll find a way. He gave me his word.”
  114. >You start to wish that when you had left Fluttershy’s, you had brought a coat.
  115. >The wind blows straight through you, and the rain bites at your face.
  116. >You jog gently, eager to get out of the rain.
  117. >You think to yourself that you should be more torn up about leaving the farm.
  118. >But you’re not.
  119. >Because you have a plan.
  120. >It’s not over until the fat p0ny sings.
  121. >And you’ve never heard Mrs Cake sing.
  122. >You can come back to the farm as soon as Fluttershy is out of your life for good.
  123. >And the cogs are already in motion for that to happen.
  124. >That’s why you need to get to Twilight’s library.
  125. >No matter what, you need to talk to her.
  126. >She’s your only other ally in this horrible situation.
  127. >Once Fluttershy is in prison, you can tell everyone that she was lying, and you’ll get your happy ending.
  128. >You walk ever closer to your goal, but the relentless weather makes it seem like your journey is endless.
  129. >You eventually get off the dirt roads to the paved haven of P0nyville.
  130. >Not a soul is on the streets.
  131. >Nop0ny is stupid enough to brave this weather if they don’t have to.
  132. >Why couldn’t Big Mac have picked another day to kick you out...?
  133. >It’s probably a good thing that you’re alone though.
  134. >From the sounds of it, you don’t want to meet anyp0ny that has the wrong impression of you.
  135. >Finally you reach the library tree.
  136. >You hammer on the door.
  137. >You’re not sure if Twilight will be able to hear you over the howling wind, beating rain and roaring thunder.
  138. >You hammer again, and as you’re knocking the door opens to reveal a very surprised Twilight.
  139. >”Anon?! Quick, come in!”
  140. >You readily accept her hospitality and shuffle inside, shivering.
  141. >The library is warm thanks to a roaring fire in one corner of the tree house.
  142. >You dedicate a second of brain power to ponder the dangers of having a fire in a house made entirely out of wood and filled with flammable paper.
  143. >You immediately make a beeline to the fire, no matter how dangerous you determine it to be.
  144. >You extend your chilled extremities to the life-giving flames.
  145. >Twilight trots over to you.
  146. >”Anon! What on earth are you doing here in this weather?”
  147. “K-k-kicked-d-d... out-t-t-t...” You chatter.
  148. >You are absolutely soaked to the bone.
  149. >”Hold on, Anon!”
  150. >She lowers her horn at you and it glows with her purple magic.
  151. >A second later your clothes are bone dry, although you are still freezing cold.
  152. “Thank-k-ks...”
  153. >”You’re welcome. Just stay by the fire, ok? I’m going to get you some blankets!”
  154. >Twilight zips off up the stairs and leaves you to shiver in solitude.
  155. >Before she comes back down though, Spike wonders downstairs, bleary eyed.
  156. >”Anon...? What are you doing here?”
  157. >It seems like he just woke up.
  158. “C-c-cold...” Is all you can say.
  159. >”You’re cold? Hold on a second.”
  160. >Spike stumbles over to you and takes a deep breath.
  161. >With his magical flames he bathes you in green fire.
  162. >Almost instantly you can feel your flesh regaining its warmth.
  163. >Feeling in your fingertips and feet return.
  164. >”There you go!”
  165. “Wow! Thanks, Spike!”
  166. >”Don’t mention it!”
  167. >He waddles off to the kitchen.
  168. >Twilight descends the stairs and sees you no longer shivering.
  169. >She is levitating a bunch of blankets, which she promptly drops when she sees you.
  170. >Her face is a picture of shock and confusion as she stares at you.
  171. >What, do you have something on your cheek?
  172. >You look down at yourself.
  173. >You’re naked.
  174. >Of course.
  175. >Spike’s flames sent your clothes off somewhere.
  176. >And since most everybody here is naked, he didn’t think to tell you.
  177. >You quickly hide your shame.
  178. >”Well I’d say make yourself comfortable, but it seems you already have.”
  179. >You simply blush and stutter.
  180. >Is this what Fluttershy feels like?
  181. >”Hmm... interesting. Anon, I thought you were male. Do you even lactate?”
  182. “What?”
  183. >”You have nipples.”
  184. >Twilight comes close and studies them intensely.
  185. “N-no! I don’t lactate! Men just have nipples, alright?”
  186. >”Fascinating...”
  187. >You blush even harder, and remove one hand from your junk to cover your nipples.
  188. >Twilight seems disappointed.
  189. >You give her another glimpse of them as you reach out a hand to snatch a blanket from her pile.
  190. >”Oh, right. You don’t like being naked. Sorry. I forgot.”
  191. >You wrap yourself tight in a defensive cocoon.
  192. “Well, that’s not the point, Twilight. You should ask before you decide to study me.”
  193. >Her ears droop and she looks at her hooves.
  194. >”Yeah... I’m sorry...”
  195. “Anyway, that’s not the reason I’m here.”
  196. >”Yeah, what were you doing out in that storm? You were almost frozen when you came in here!”
  197. >You sigh and break eye contact with her.
  198. “I... I’ve been kicked off the farm.”
  199. >”What?!”
  200. >You explain to Twilight what conspired in the barn.
  201. >How Big Mac explained to you that your presence was essentially killing the farm.
  202. >How you had to leave Applejack.
  203. >How you thrust yourself out into the wind and the rain on a slim hope.
  204. >By the end of it the situation has caught up with you.
  205. >Recapping it all makes you realise what a pitiful situation you’re in.
  206. >A tear makes its way down your cheek.
  207. >But it’s not hopeless.
  208. >That’s why you’re here.
  209. “So I need to know... Have you heard from Princess Celestia yet?”
  210. >”No... Unfortunately not.”
  211. >She looks genuinely sad as she says this.
  212. >That makes the two of you.
  213. >”But... You’re welcome to stay until we get a response.”
  214. “Thank you, Twilight...”
  215. >She was just what you needed at this time.
  216. >You had lost your rock at the farm.
  217. >Your love.
  218. >But you could still get her back.
  219. >Right now it was just a matter of time before Celestia responded and made this all better.
  220. >Twilight’s generosity was a soothing balm in this tough time.
  221. >”Hey, I made cocoa! What’s with the long faces?”
  222. >Spike comes up to you and Twilight in front of the fire with a tray.
  223. “It’s nothing, Spike. Thanks.”
  224. >You happily take a mug of the hot drink.
  225. >It even has an oversized marshmallow in it.
  226. >You sip it.
  227. >It warms you inside.
  228. >But not as much as Applejack does.
  229. >Anon went to sleep that night in Twilight’s bedroom.
  230. >She had a spare bed which she gracefully made up for him.
  231. >It was a little short, but he wasn’t going to look a gift p0ny in the mouth.
  232. >As he slept you were able to look into his dream.
  233. >You didn’t look through his eyes anymore, but you felt what he did and had more of a perception of the world around you than normal.
  234. >Things that you shouldn’t have been able to know were plainly obvious to you now.
  235. >It’s how you knew it was a dream.
  236. >You looked at him on the floor as an invisible observer.
  237. >Anon was trapped.
  238. >He just knew he was.
  239. >He was trapped in a room.
  240. >It smelled of cooking and animal feed.
  241. >You looked around.
  242. >The dreamscape was so abstract.
  243. >The edges of things were highlighted in neon colours, looking like a child had drawn them with crayon.
  244. >The faces of objects were odd and malformed.
  245. >Everything looked so looseweave, like it was put together wrong.
  246. >The room had shapes and shadows that threatened to encroach on his position.
  247. >They stretched and loomed over you like black monoliths, each one able to turn into some horrible monster at any second.
  248. >Everything seems gigantic to you.
  249. >Anon was on the floor on a patterned rug.
  250. >He was tired. So tired.
  251. >He tried to stand up, but couldn’t.
  252. >So instead he crawled.
  253. >He crawled towards the front door of this place.
  254. >He crawled for what seemed like hours, maybe even days, but the door evaded his reach.
  255. >It just moved away whenever he got close.
  256. >And then he heard her.
  257. >”I’ll show you how much I love you...”
  258. >He wheeled around to see her.
  259. >There stood a gigantic Fluttershy, an insane look in her teal eyes.
  260. >Instantly, fear and adrenaline coursed through Anon’s veins.
  261. >It was happening again.
  262. >He was in danger.
  263. >He had to get away.
  264. >He finally found the strength to stand.
  265. >He ran towards the door once more.
  266. >Still it mocked him, being so far away.
  267. >Fluttershy’s high, echoing laugh reverberated around the room, attacking his ears from all sides.
  268. >It was so loud it was almost deafening.
  269. >Anon stopped running and covered his ears with his hands.
  270. “NO! LEAVE ME ALONE!”
  271. >He span around to where Fluttershy was before.
  272. >She was gone.
  273. >But her laugh continued to echo inside his head.
  274. >She was inside his head!
  275. “Please! I beg of you... No!”
  276. >Anon slumped to his knees, and lowered his head; closing his eyes in the vain hope that the nightmare would end.
  277. >”Anon...?”
  278. >A small, calm, soothing voice called from just in front of him.
  279. >It was Fluttershy, as Anon had first known her.
  280. >Shy, demure...
  281. >A friend.
  282. >Anon lifted his head and saw her.
  283. >Her cute pink mane covered most of her face, and he only saw one of her cute eyes from behind the wave of follicles.
  284. >She moved in for a hug, like she used to.
  285. >She was so warm and inviting.
  286. >Anon cuddled her close to her chest.
  287. >He missed this.
  288. >He missed the innocent time they had spent together.
  289. >”...to love m-...”
  290. >Fluttershy mumbled something, but Anon didn’t quite hear it.
  291. >She had a nasty habit of doing that.
  292. “What was that, Fluttershy?”
  293. >”I said... YOU’RE GOING TO LOVE ME!”
  294. >Fluttershy looked up with a crazed look in her eyes.
  295. >Gone was the girl he knew.
  296. >Now a monster had appeared in her place, with frazzled hair and razor sharp teeth.
  297. >They grinned at him with a predatory smile.
  298. >Her voice was demonic in nature, with a double tone to it.
  299. >But worst of all were her eyes.
  300. >Those dazzling blue spheres now pierced into his very soul.
  301. >His heart felt chilled as daggers of ice plunged into it, locking him in place.
  302. >He was paralyzed again, just like that night.
  303. >Monstershy pushed him over effortlessly.
  304. >He fell like a ragdoll.
  305. >He was a puppet with his strings cut, and all he could do was watch as he was consumed by evil.
  306. >”NOW YOU JUST SIT RIGHT THERE AND ENJOY THIS, MISTER.”
  307. >Anon was naked suddenly.
  308. >It was obviously one of the beast’s powers.
  309. >A forked tongue snaked its way out between her sabertooth smile and probingly touched his member.
  310. >While Anon was paralyzed, he could feel everything.
  311. >The gentle caress of the snake tongue winded its way around his root and up towards his crown.
  312. >It teased and tasted his most private place, and Anon could do nothing to stop it.
  313. >He felt powerless in the presence of this horrible creature.
  314. >”YESSSSS... MOMMA LIKESSSS THISSSS...”
  315. >She saw the time fit to take him into her mouth.
  316. >Immediately thoughts of mutilation wracked Anon’s brain, but something even worse happened.
  317. >He liked it.
  318. >Instead of intense pain, all he received were sensations of a warm, wet hole.
  319. >In his primal mind the requirements for sex were fulfilled.
  320. >Blood started to flow to his cock against his wishes.
  321. >”YESSSS... THAT’SSSS... A GOOD BOY.”
  322. >Her evil voice was laced with Fluttershy’s normal one.
  323. >It was a bastard parody of what Fluttershy should have been like.
  324. >She bobbed her head up and down on Anon’s cock, letting her lips do most of the work.
  325. >With plenty of saliva, she glided around on him, creating a seal that Anon felt tightly on his shaft.
  326. >She was ruthless, animalistic.
  327. >Her technique was sloppy, but enthusiastic.
  328. >She made sure to look up at Anon as she did it, keeping eye contact with him.
  329. >She started turning her head to twist his cock.
  330. >It felt so good...
  331. >And then the snake tongue returned.
  332. >The twin tips tickled the underside of Anon’s member.
  333. >In his head, Anon cried with pleasure.
  334. >But his body didn’t respond.
  335. >All he could do was look at the event going on down south.
  336. >She teased his frenulum, not caring that the feeling was driving him mad.
  337. >Her tongue worked its magic on him, knowing just what spots to hit and in what order.
  338. >She went on for the longest time, never slowing her pace of bobbing, but keeping Anon on the brink of insanity with the sensations.
  339. >And then her tongue stopped.
  340. >The respite was short lived, however, as she wrapped her long muscle around the ridge of his head.
  341. >She turned her grip counter to the direction her lips were moving.
  342. >Finally the sensations were too much for his body to ignore.
  343. >His back arched as he jerked forward with his hips.
  344. >His instincts had been awakened.
  345. >He loathed himself.
  346. >He looked down once more.
  347. >Fluttershy had a slight trace of a smile around the edges of her lips.
  348. >But she still kept up her pace.
  349. >Her alien tongue was too powerful to ignore.
  350. >Anon felt like his cock was going to explode with the pressure that was building up.
  351. >He was so close, and yet so far from cumming.
  352. >He knew it wasn’t about him.
  353. >It was about her.
  354. >She was raping him.
  355. >She didn’t care.
  356. >She wouldn’t let him feel release.
  357. >Not until she was ready.
  358. >His body listened to his commands once more, but only so that he could sob loudly.
  359. >His chest shook with each hiccupped breath he took.
  360. >Fluttershy stopped working his cock and retracted her tongue.
  361. >”AWW... WHAT’SSS THE MATTER, SSSWEETIE...?”
  362. “Please... No more...”
  363. >Anon sounded like a pleading child more than a man.
  364. >”I KNOW... YOU NEED MORE...”
  365. “No!”
  366. >Fluttershy stalked up his body.
  367. >Each hooffall was filled with what should have been sensuality.
  368. >For Anon they were filled with horror.
  369. >She positioned herself over his engorged rod.
  370. >She smiled and looked down at him.
  371. >Then she reared up and slammed her cunt down on his pelvis.
  372. >She threw her head back in victory and ecstasy.
  373. >She had won ultimately.
  374. >Anon only felt minor resistance as his staff plunged into her depths and shattered her hymen.
  375. >Her black blood oozed out from around his cock.
  376. >It bubbled like vitriol, slimy and hot.
  377. >”I GAVE IT TO YOU... DON’T YOU LIKE IT?”
  378. >The truth was that it felt amazing.
  379. >Her warmth was incredible.
  380. >Her wetness was perfect.
  381. >Her walls gripped him with impeccable dexterity.
  382. >But it was wrong.
  383. >Oh so wrong.
  384. >All of a sudden a flash of thunder illuminated the room.
  385. >Both Anon and Fluttershy turned to the front door.
  386. >It was flung open by a gust of wind to reveal a silhouette.
  387. >Fluttershy shrieked and hissed at the intruder.
  388. >But the new p0ny filled Anon with something else.
  389. >Warmth and friendship.
  390. >And hope.
  391. >The figure, with its regal horn shone a light from its tip.
  392. >It bathed the room in a silvery light that seemed to banish the darkness.
  393. >Fluttershy covered her horrible eyes with her hooves, and dismounted you.
  394. >The p0ny took a step forward and spread her majestic wings.
  395. >Her eyes glowed white with power, and she seemed to project an aura of authority in the room.
  396. >From behind her, an orange p0ny in a Stetson came charging into the house.
  397. >She raced towards Anon, but he recognised her.
  398. >It was Applejack, come to save him .
  399. >She leapt over Anon and turned.
  400. >Her powerful hind legs were already primed for a lethal kick.
  401. >With a tremendous crack, the Fluttermonster went flying to the corner of the room from the force of Applejack’s kick.
  402. >Anon cried again.
  403. >But this time it was tears of joy.
  404. >With newfound strength Anon sat up to meet his saviour.
  405. >”You alright, Sugarcube.”
  406. “More than ever now that you’re here.”
  407. >Anon cupped her cheek, and prepared for a kiss.
  408. >He was so relieved now that his true love was here.
  409. >”Anon?”
  410. “Yes, Applejack?”
  411. >”Anon?”
  412. “What is it?”
  413. >”Wake up, Anon...”
  414. “What?”
  415. >”Wake up.”
  416. >”Anon! Wake up, Anon! Wake up!”
  417. >You sat bolt upright in bed with a start.
  418. >Twilight jumped back from the side of your bed in shock.
  419. “Huh? Wha? Applejack?”
  420. >”No, I’m afraid it’s just me.”
  421. >You look around you.
  422. >You’re still in Twilight’s library.
  423. >It’s just turning dawn.
  424. >”You were thrashing about in your sleep. I’m sorry I had to wake you, but I was worried...”
  425. >That was one crazy dream...
  426. “I... Thank you again, Twilight. You’ve helped me once more...”
  427. >”It’s no problem, Anon. What are friends for?”
  428. >About this time you’d usually be getting up on the farm anyway...
  429. >But you don’t really feel the need to get out of bed now.
  430. >You just want to lie here until everything blows over...
  431. >It happened like this before.
  432. >When you couldn’t move for a week.
  433. >Is it happening again?
  434. >Your spiral of depression is broken when you feel something fuzzy brush against your side.
  435. >Twilight has hopped into bed with you and snuggled up to you.
  436. >She looks up at you with those huge purple eyes of hers.
  437. >”I’ll keep you safe, Anon. So you can sleep easy again.”
  438. MEANWHILE IN CANTERLOT
  439. >”Luna, Spike sent me the most odd item earlier.”
  440. >”Oh, really, dear sister? What is it?”
  441. >”I’m not quite sure. It seems to be some article of clothing... Some kind of work clothing? It looks to be similar to the type used by worker p0nies.”
  442. >”Oh, yes... What a curious design. Oh, and look! There’s that seamstress’ cutie mark in the collar! Maybe you should ask her about it.”
  443. >”Yes, that’s a good idea. However, something odd is going on with it.”
  444. >Luna sniffs the air.
  445. >”Is that... tomato sauce?”
  446. >”Yes, that’s quite unmistakably tomato sauce. It seems to be dripping down the leg of these clothes. I’ll have to take them to cleaner’s to-“
  447. >”Sister, watch out!”
  448. >Celestia’s gallant strides are interrupted as she slips on something on the floor.
  449. >She goes skidding down the well waxed corridors of Canterlot palace, her legs flailing every which way to try and stop her.
  450. >She speeds off into the distance, coming to a stop finally with a crash.
  451. >A moment of silence is held in Canterlot Castle.
  452. >”...I’m ok!”
  453. >Luna leans down and examines what Celestia slipped on.
  454. >”Could this be...? Spaghetti?”
  455. “I, uh...”
  456. >”You don’t have to keep thanking me, Anon. This is what friends are for. I have to warn you, I’m a cuddler.”
  457. >She shuts her eyes and snuggles into your chest.
  458. >You lie there, rigid and unmoving, paralyzed with awkwardness.
  459. >You don’t sleep any more that morning.
  460. >Twilight snuggled you relentlessly.
  461. >She wasn’t lying when she said she was a cuddler either.
  462. >Her searching hooves wrapped around your chest and her coat tickled your nipples.
  463. >Your nerves were on fire with the amount of adrenaline that was coursing through your systems.
  464. >Between the dream you had and Twilight’s “comforting,” you were a bag of nerves.
  465. >That dream... That nightmare, you should say.
  466. >It was symbolic, you were sure.
  467. >Fluttershy, the monster in your head...
  468. >She’s done so much damage to you.
  469. >You just want her gone.
  470. >You can’t wait to get that letter from Celestia.
  471. >Very carefully you extricate yourself from the bed and Twilight.
  472. >She moans slightly, missing your body heat.
  473. >But she doesn’t wake up, thankfully.
  474. >You’re not sure you can talk to her right now.
  475. >You set out in search of her bathroom for your daily routine.
  476. >There aren’t too many rooms in the library, so you find it without too much bother.
  477. >It’s tiny compared to your bathroom, but you make do.
  478. >You dump, dip and decorticate.
  479. >It was your word of the day!
  480. >You come out of the bathroom smelling of lilacs.
  481. >It’s not exactly manly, but it’ll have to do.
  482. >Thankfully it seems like everyone in the library sleeps late, so they don’t get to see your noodle.
  483. >You head back upstairs to get a blanket to cover yourself with.
  484. >As you’re wondering about your clothes and where they ended up, Spike on cue burps loudly.
  485. >You freeze as green smoke pours out of his mouth and coalesces in the air.
  486. >The smoke takes shape and materialises as your clothes!
  487. >There also seems to be a note attached to them.
  488. >It reads, “Sorry, we couldn’t get all the pasta stains out.”
  489. >Hmm. That’s odd.
  490. >You wonder who received your work duds.
  491. >Whoever it was did a good job cleaning them.
  492. >You put them on immediately.
  493. >Spike snores on, oblivious to what just happened.
  494. >Twilight stirs, but stays asleep.
  495. >They must be used to this kind of thing happening.
  496. >You head back downstairs and look for something to eat.
  497. >You find plenty of precious gemstones and books, but no food.
  498. >If you were a thief, you could make quite a tidy sum from Spike’s pantry.
  499. >All your rummaging seems to have woken somep0ny up though.
  500. >You freeze as you hear footsteps on the stairs.
  501. >A very sleepy looking baby dragon rubs his eyes and comes into the library where you are searching.
  502. >”*Yawn* Morning, Anon. If you’re hungry, you know the place to look is probably the kitchen, right?”
  503. >He raises a good point.
  504. >He waves you through into the next room and waddles to the fridge.
  505. “Oh, uh... how silly of me.”
  506. >”Well, don’t get me wrong. You’re welcome to my snack stash if you want. I just didn’t think you could stomach it.”
  507. >He reaches into the fridge and offers you a turquoise.
  508. >You take it.
  509. >Even if you can’t eat it, you’ll take it anyway.
  510. >That’s what you’ve learned from point-and-click adventures.
  511. >Never pass up a chance to add something to your inventory.
  512. >You give the blue stone a tentative lick.
  513. >To your surprise it tastes sweet.
  514. >It’s like hard rock candy.
  515. >You shove the little stone in your mouth.
  516. >You can’t bite it, but you can suck it.
  517. >It’s actually quite enjoyable.
  518. “Oh, wow! This is pretty cool!”
  519. >Spike is as pleasantly surprised as you are.
  520. >”Huh! I never met another creature that could appreciate the taste of a good turquoise.”
  521. “I didn’t even know I could appreciate the taste of a good turquoise! It’s like something we had back on Earth. Jolly ranchers, they were called. This tastes like the blue one.”
  522. >Spike’s eyes light up.
  523. >”Really? You ate gems back on Earth too?”
  524. “Not quite.”
  525. >You explain to him about what you mean, and the joys of cheap, sweet snacks.
  526. >He’s completely enraptured by your explanation.
  527. >He explains to you how he gets his gems from digging with Rarity.
  528. >The two of you talk a lot about life.
  529. >There’s a lot that the two of you can learn from each other.
  530. >You only stop talking when your stomach starts to growl.
  531. “Oh, uh... Sorry.”
  532. >”Oh, it’s no problem, Anon. I’ll get you something.”
  533. >With remarkable speed he zips around the kitchen, preparing some cereal for you.
  534. >He obviously knows his way around this place, and it shows.
  535. >He reappears in front of you holding a bowl.
  536. “Whoa, thanks bro. I appreciate it.”
  537. >He blushes through his scales.
  538. >”Y-you’re welcome... bro.”
  539. >You take the bowl and set it aside for a second.
  540. >You hold out your fist to Spike.
  541. >He looks confused initially, but copies you eventually.
  542. >You bump his fist with your own.
  543. “We’re totally bros, now, little buddy. You’re my honorary Rainbow Dash while she’s being a huge bitch.”
  544. >”You mean all the time then?”
  545. >You can’t help but laugh at his joke.
  546. >He sticks his tongue out cutely at you.
  547. >You always appreciated his dry, cynical sense of humour.
  548. >It’s refreshing when you’re surrounded by naive talking horses who don’t appreciate dark humour.
  549. “Haha! Spike, I think I’m gonna enjoy my time here.”
  550. >”Awesome. I haven’t had a chance to talk to another person with hands before.”
  551. “I know, right? They’re so useful! I don’t know how the p0nies cope with hooves!”
  552. >”Well Twilight has magic so...”
  553. >The two of you wax lyrical over all kinds of topics that morning.
  554. >It was nice to make a new friend.
  555. >The morning soon passed into afternoon.
  556. >Generally you stayed upstairs and talked with Spike.
  557. >You didn’t want to be seen in the main part of the library by anyp0ny.
  558. >You don’t want them reporting back to Applejack that you’re staying here.
  559. >You wonder how she’s doing.
  560. >You feel like such a coward for running away.
  561. >But it’s for her own good.
  562. >For the good of everyone there.
  563. >You care for them so much...
  564. >Apple Bloom must be heartbroken to hear that you didn’t come back...
  565. >She must be worried sick...
  566. >In general though, your mind is taken off such depressing thoughts by Spike’s banter.
  567. >He’s a witty guy, for a baby.
  568. >He kind of reminds you of yourself in some ways.
  569. >”And then, when I’ve won her heart, we’ll live together in a cave full of riches and gems...”
  570. >Perhaps not so lovestruck, though.
  571. “Yeah, uh... Well, good luck with that...”
  572. >”What, you don’t think I can get Rarity?”
  573. “No, man... It’s not that... I just think that-“
  574. >You’re saved by the burp as Spike’s cheeks inflate to comical proportions.
  575. >He finally lets out a huge belch, and a scroll pops out.
  576. >It’s marked with the royal seal.
  577. >It flops to the ground.
  578. >You and Spike both look at each other.
  579. >Then back to the scroll.
  580. >Then back to each other.
  581. >Then simultaneously you both call out,
  582. “TWILIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT!”
  583. >You race downstairs to the library.
  584. >There’s nop0ny around but Twilight and her books.
  585. >She sees the two of you sprinting towards her and stands up.
  586. >The look in her eyes is full of excitement and hope.
  587. >Your face probably looks the same.
  588. >For the first time in a while you’re hopeful.
  589. >This is it.
  590. >This is where it gets fixed.
  591. >”Is... Is it...?”
  592. >”Yes, yes! Open it, Twilight!”
  593. >She takes the scroll in her magic and unties the ribbon that seals it shut.
  594. >The scroll unfurls, bathed in her purple glow.
  595. >She reads it, and to your confusion her face falls.
  596. >She reads the letter down to the bottom.
  597. >She looks up at you.
  598. >”Anon... I’m so sorry...”
