  3. -
  4. >PurpleSmart-books, sweat, old jill sessions, and farts. You suspect that she might wipe her hooves clean on her dirty clothes after masturbating and hasn't done the laundry in her hamper lately.
  5. >Ponk-Cupcake icing, that cloyingly sweet smell you get at some bakeries, hard to smell anything beyond that
  6. >Flutters-strong woody and floral smells, but definite undertones of animal urine, mixed with plain soapy cleaning solutions, deep inhalations will reveal animal musk, but not as strong as you might expect
  7. >Appulhoers-farm smells dominate, dirt, hay, mild animal manure, waft in from the window, but the more immediate smells are of harshly cleaned bedlinens, probably lye soap, and cedar, because she prefers to keep her clothes in cedar rather than using mothballs. All interior rooms smell clean and old.
  8. >Rara-her bedroom smells of fine perfumes, her bedlinens smell of pricey soap and fabric softener. Various body care product smells come from the bathroom. Faint undertones of leather. Just a hint of scented candle drifts in from the bathroom and hallway, but the perfume scent overpowers them. She prefers spicy, sharp perfumes, although you can smell some slightly heavier musk mixed in, probably for evening perfumes.
  9. >Rainbow Dash-it absolutely smells like gym clothes and salad farts, plus protein bar farts. The bedlinens smell clean, she clearly bathes before bedtime, but the clothes hamper stinks. Both hampers-she keeps one specifically for the sweaty workout clothes so that her other clothes don't soak it up, but she doesn't wash either often enough. Strong undertones of both menthol and camphor muscle rubs. A nasty sweet smell in the air makes you think that she sprays a room freshener frequently to cover the sweat smell, but it is not sufficient.

  12. >Celestia and Luna
  13.
  14. >Celestia-the low level magical fields, shields, glamour spells and sorceries surrounding her tinge the air with ozone. The bed sparks faintly as her mane waves over it, and your arm hairs tingle and rise. She smells like sunrise over a water meadow, and he breath is fresh and cool without being at all minty. Her royal bedding is ancient, but well kept, smelling of careful cleaning with steam and scented with herbs. The floor smells a little too strongly of cleaning solutions, but that waxy gleam comes at a price.
  15.
  16. >Looners-she smells like nighttime in sphagnum bog, heavy, hot, moist, and chokingly organic. Nothing smells bad, but it's the smell of old, leaf covered forest floors at midnight, where decay is part of the landscape. The lavender bundles scattered about the room only add to the effect. A scented candle burns somewhere, trying to be spicy, but is drowned out by the acrid remains of the tallow candles that have burned out just as the sun rises. Even with the curtains open, the room seems dark and gives off a cavern like vibe.
  17.

  19. >Vinyl and Octy
  20.
  21. >Vinyl-jeeeeezuz, Vinyl, you pissed the fucking bed didn't you? Something smells horribly, noxiously sweet, like the fermented urine that comes from coma levels of alcohol consumption. A quick check reveals that the bed is mostly dry, if sweaty. Her sweat smells of sweetened booze, but you still think that she has probably pissed the bed before and it just soaked into the mattress, no matter how hard she cleans it. Undertones of booze and soda, and a smell of hair product and nice soaps comes from the bathroom. Her breath is sour, but at least none of the BO smells in the room are rank, just unpleasantly sweet.
  22.
  23. Octy-the room is surprisingly free of smells. Everything has a clean air to it, but the only real strong scent comes from a vanilla scented candle. Deep sniffing will reveal some rosin smells, and a slight paperiness from a shelf of sheet music. Her closet full of stark black performing outfits smells clean, not scented. Her mane smells of a flowery shampoo and conditioner and her coat has a faint, faint air of sweat, as though she did not shower before bed and had sweated during her last performance.
  24.

  26. >Chrysalis
  27.
  28. >Chrysalis-long ago you were exploring an old church and wandered down into the sub-sub basement, past a door in the boiler room. Behind it you found a completely dismantled organ, stacks of Christmas and Easter programs from two generations ago, and choir robes so old and moldering that they fell apart when you tried to pick them up. The unpainted brick walls were crumbling and a rat had died so long ago that there wasn't even any smell left on its skeleton. Old felt kneelers reeked of mildew stacked in one corner.
  29. Her room smells like that. Bugpone herself smells so sharply that your eyes water. She doesn't exactly stink, but she stings the nose. There is something increadibly harsh about the way her carapace slips across itself. THe bedding, what there is of it, smells of mountaintop snow, when your nose is too cold to smell anything the the brightest odors. And the sun is bleaching the air.
  30.
  31. ****************************
  32. >Trixie
  33.
  34. >GPT-her wagon smells small. All of the normal odors of life that diffuse across a house are trapped in here. The windows are opened, and the air from outside is warm and pleasant in the morning sun, but there is no escaping the fact that someone lives here, cooks here, eats here, farts here, uses the latrine here, bathes here, and, until last night, cries herself to sleep her with a box of acidic wine and moist, lonely pone puss. The strongest layer of smell is food and drink, a not unpleasant mix of potato peels and carrot ends, along with alfalfa. Her bed smells like it's stuffed with hay. It is. Her pillow smells like someone has lain a sweaty head on it too many nights in a row, and their morning breath will probably never wash entirely out of it. THe blankets smell recently clean, but Trixie clearly sweats in her sleep: the tight confines of the wagon don't make for a cool rest. From one corner of the wagon some the smell of extremely abrasive perfumes and body products. They might seem fancy or exotic to a commoner; to the practiced nose they simply smell strong. Under all of these is a smell of magic and showmanship, a blend of sulphur, gunpowders, woodchips, sawdust, and wax.
  35. >Trixie herself smells like she bathes too often and wears too much scent. She might even have dabbed some on before bed. Her breath smells like a night of drinking, and, judging from your post, the smell of sex is probably in the air.
  36.
  37. ****************************
  38. >Derpy and Doc
  39.
  40. >Darbles-cute, pure and adorable maybe, but derphoers is not the cleanest pone. Her bedding has not been washed as often as it should be and it smells a little wonky. Not stinky per se, but it's definitely laundry time. There are crumbs in the bed, and you see more on the floor. The smell of stale food is prevalent. Her breath is neither fresh nor stale, just the smell of air, slightly moist. Derpy herself smells clean enough, like someone who bathes every morning, but hasn't yet today. There is an undertone of starched clothes and camphor muscle rub.
  41.
  42. >Doc-The pony has electric engines everywhere. The place smells of ozone, copper, and ionized air. The bedding smells like a hotel bed, so clean and fresh that you wonder if it was put out just for you. Doc smells like warm musk, a heavy but inviting aroma focused around his strong chest. YOu suspect that it becomes even heavier and more inviting around his warm, masculine cock. Also, you're in bed with a stallion. Nigga you gey.
  43.
  44. **************************
  45. >Lyra and BonBon
  46.
  47. >Lyra and BonBon-they sleep together. Of course they sleep together. The room smells like a fight of personalities. Someone has been lighting scented candles in here, while somebody else clearly drops their clothes on the floor before crawling into bed every night, then forgets to pick them up in the morning. There's something undeniably domestic about the odor of the room. Every tiem you have visited a couple's house and ended up walking by the master bedroom, that common denominator of scents defines the room. It's a complex blend of cleanliness, messiness, perfume, sweat, leather, sex, clean and dirty laundry, and the occasional bowl of snuggling popcorn for movie night. The sheets smell a little soiled, like they're cleaned regularly, but aren't aired out often enough, and the comforter clearly is cleaned less frequently than the sheets. There is, yes, a slight smell of pony fart in the bed, of the grassy variety that doesn't stink so badly. Ponies for sure have had sex in this bed since the last time it was cleaned. Lyra smells like she washes her mane with a tea-tree product, BonBon washes with something more fruity, perhaps kiwi scented? Lyra snores, and her breath smells clean; BonBon smells like she sometimes skips brushing for frequent mouthwash, because she's in a hurry. Neither uses any sort of hair product aside from a shampoo. The closet smells bright, as though whatever soap they use in their clothes has a fruit scent to it.
  48. Deep sniffing reveals the smell of lube and buttsex. I just feel like that would be the case somehow.
  49.
  50. ************************
  51. >Zibba
  52.
  53. >Zibba-Open windows let in the overpowering smell of the jungle. You could swear that this was a temperate forest, but the smells in the hut you would definitely categorize as "jungle". The ambient smell is wet, tinged with decomposition and life. If you rolled over and looked at the ceiling you would be more surprised to not see a lizard than to see one. More immediately, you smell her potion brewing materials, and wish you couldn't. There are some beautiful floral smells, and sweet honeys and nectars in the mix, but nothing can draw your attention like the smell of pickled manticore fetuses and alicorn testes. The spicy twang of nutmeg and clove bites through all of it. The bed is simple and plain, and, you suppose, clean. It smells old and damp, but it looks clean enough, so that might simply be the surrounding moisture eating into it. Zecora smells exotic and grassy, as though she wore a perfume made of sage and amaranth. Her breath smells like clove and basil.
  54. *Sorry for slow post, but my better half wanted Sunday afternoon sex, and who am I to say no to that?*
  55.
  56. **********************
  57. >Moondancer
  58.
  59. >Moondancer-your first waking breath fills your nostrils with the scent of home. It takes you several slow, deep sniffs before your realize that something smells slightly different. All of the usual smells are there: the scent of unwashed blankets, acrid sweat, unbathed bodies and the sort of flatulence that comes with a deeply unhealthy diet. You even catch the faint whiff of urine.
  60. >Your eyelids flutter open and there is the usual cheese dust stain on the pillow, familiar and yet somehow wrong. There are dry crusty spots on the blanket in your crotch region, where you usually wipe away your jizz, but you can't help but feel the sense of something alien growing stronger.
  61. >Then finally you smell it, there is a blast of halitosis ridden morning breath wafting against the back of your neck. You roll over, and there she is in all of her putrid, basement glory. She actually sleeps in the Celestia-damned sweater, and clearly, it has not been washed in weeks. You can individually make out the various smells coming from the yellow stains under her pits and the long crusty smear of red where she clearly wiped something off of her hooves onto her sweater. THe smell of body odor flows off her in an almost visible cloud, tumbling away from her like smoke from a dry-ice cube in water. She clearly has not washed in days, and something tells you that she hasn't been overly concerned with her feminine hygiene either.
  62. >Glancing around, you spot the bottles of piss you smelled earlier, along with a festering bowl of potato salad on the edge of the bed. Books are stacked waist high around the room, but they seem to act as sponges for the odors. The smell of stale masturbation is omnipresent. The bathroom door is open, and you can see that there is piss in the toilet. A toothbrush sits in its holder by the sink, but you can tell that it has long since dried out and withered. Mildew climbs up the shower curtains and walls.
  63. >Get out while you can, mate.
  64.
  65. ***************************
  66. >Sunset Shimmer
  67.
  68. >Shimmy-the room smells strongly of leather and musky perfume, hairspray and an oil diffuser: pine scented. It's a not unpleasant combination, if a bit heavy on the nose. Strong room fresheners drift in from the bathroom, as though Shimmles refuses to acknowledge that she poops to guests. The bedding is heavy and l not only heavy but laden with scent, she seems to have sprayed it with some sort of fabric freshener lately. The whole ambience of the room is seductive, but overdone and without strategy, and you aren't even that surprised to identify yet another strong smell as massage oil from a bottle on the bedside. From the amount of perfume in the air, you might expect Sunset to wear too much, but she seems to have shown surprising moderation in that regard, at least. The scent she wears is too old for her, and too dark for a morning perfume, but it mixes well with the smell of her light sweat. It mixes poorly with the bright, powdery deodorant she seems to have shoveled into her underarms. Her breath smells like breakfast; some sort of granola and bananas, perhaps. The dense aromas are almost visible in the sunbeams as they sneak through the heavy drapes.
  69.
  70. >if pony: replace the smell of leather with slightly damp wool, giving the whole room a slight but noticeable wet-dog undertone. It might work fine if she had less sweetness in the air, but that makes it all the more noticable
  71.
  72. *****************************
  73. >Smolder
  74.
  75. >Smolder-her room smells like adolescence in a soup kitchen in a sauna. The horrible, oniony smell of teenager body odor is ramped up to eleven and baked into the walls. A vague odor of belches hangs in the air, reticent to leave. The bedding smells like a cheese factory with lax sanitation policies, mixed with an iguana terrarium.
  76. By Celestia, I hate teenagers.
  77.
  78. *****************************
  79. >Cheerilee
  80.
  81. >Cheerilee-the smell of old coffee, sour and cold, fills the room, only slightly masked by an apple scented candle, clearly a gift from students, undertones of cheap pasta, alfalfa, and slightly aged fruit mix in an organic bass tone. THe faint odor of grade school adds a treble note, mixing urine, spittle, dirt, and bubblegum odors
  82. >The bedding has a faint hint of smoke on it. Cheerilee clearly smokes outside and washes, brushes and mouthwashes before bed, but it isn't quite enough.
  83. >Cheerilee's breath smells a little sour, and her frazzled mane still smells slightly of yesterdays hairspray
  84.
  85. *************************
  86. >Redheart
  87.
  88. >Redheart-the room smells a little old. An empty bowl of popcorn lies on the bedside table, and from the stale odor, it seems to have been there for at least a week. Fresh coffee smells are in the background as the automatic coffee maker kicks on at the same time as her alarm clock, but more immediately, an unfinished bottle of wine is opened and uncorked by and almost empty cup, adding a bright tone to the room. There is a slight smell of mothballs, not strong enough to suggest that Redheart uses them, but you think that her clothes must be bought from consignment shops.
  89. >The bedding smells regularly cleaned, but a little stuffy and unaired, the smell of mild sweat hangs by the pillow
  90. >Redheart's breath smells funny. She brushed her teeth before bed, but then had a half bottle of wine, and the mix is odd. Her mane smells like coconut shampoo and conditioner.
  91.
  92. **************************
  93. >Limestone
  94.
  95. >Limey-her room smells like her namesake; there is a strong calcium rich alkaline twang to the air. Limestone seems to prefer to abstain from any scents, but you would guess from the smell that she scours her belongings thoroughly with something akin baking soda. The room has a Spartan starkness about it, but a good sniff will reveal undercurrents of bubblegum candy and, faintly, the smell of anise. There;s the faint smell of newsprint and glossy paper you associate with a cheap magazine.
  96. >The coarse bedding smells of lye soap. The prickly down pillow smells vaguely of mint, as though Limestone brushes her teeth so vigorously that her nighttime drool flavours the pillow.
  97. >Limestone smells hot and clean in the way you might associate with a hot soapy shower after a long hot run. Her breath is fresh, and her mane smells of strawberry shampoo, the cheap kind. She wears a lot of deodorant, cucumber scented.
  98.
  99. **************************
  100. >Lyra and BonBon
  101.
  102. >BonBon-smells vaguely warm, with a slight aroma of hard-work to her. If she wears clothes, the floral soap smell is complemented by a slight starchiness. The sweet smell of confections sticks to her mane and tail, but is balanced out by the soapy smell of frequent, and responsibly thorough, hoof-washing. Her breath is a little foul, the sharp smell of morning coffee, chocolate, and mediocre dental care. Colgate would have something to say about it, but it's honestly no worse than the normal pony. A careful sniffing might reveal a slight leather smell around her legs, with a mild sweatiness. Her saddlebags smell faintly of apples but strongly of root vegetables, mainly carrots.
  103.
  104. >Lyra-if she wears clothes, they lack the crispness of BonBon's, instead smelling like clean work clothes. her hooves smell somewhere between salty and leathery, like carpenter's gloves mixed with the smell of fingernails, but it's a faint smell. Her horn smells like lemongrass; it mixes nicely with the spicy scent of her tea-tree shampoo. Her tail has the faint whiff of softwoods, cedar and pine, if you had to guess. Her breath is minty, like someone who brushes regularly and carries mints at all times. Her saddlebags smell faintly of wood, copper, apples and eucalyptus.
  105.
  106. ***************************
  107. >Diamond Tiara
  108.
  109. >Diamond Tiara-her room smells faintly of paint, as though the walls have been redone recently enough that the coats are still outgassing. There are no deliberate scents, in the room, allowing it to fill with a soft mélange of clean clothes, wood, and paper. There are waxy subtones of crayons and the chemical smell of markers. An open doorway lets the smell of flowers drift in, soiled by the ammonia stink of silver polish. Her bedding smells stuffy and a little soiled, as though nighttime accidents from younger years have never fully washed out. Diamond Tiara smells clean, with stinky little kid breath, clearly she does not brush properly. Her shampoo is lavender and lilac.
  110.
  111. ****************************
  112. >Apple Bloom
  113.
  114. >Apple Bloom-as with her sister, the predominant smells of the room are farm smells, hay, dirt, manure, alfalfa, and hardwood trees. The room has a certain starkness to it, but you smell the fragrant scent of apple wood on the four poster bed and toychest, and that special smell of well loved toys from inside, a mix of unwashed hooves, dirt, infrequent cleaning, and childlike delight. The floor smells well scoured. The smell of old fabric drifts from the bed curtains, and her bedding smells harsh and clean. Apple Bloom smells farmy, slightly sweaty, slightly dirty, and a little manure in a heavy, musky way that almost morphs into sweetness. Her shampoo is clearly homemade stuff pulled from the family store, it smells of apples, honey, sunflower seed oil, and egg-yolk. It smells nice. Apple Bloom takes good care of her teeth, her breath is fresh.
  115.
  116. ***************************
  117. >Sweetie Belle
  118.
  119. >Sweetie Belle-smells of circuitry, nickel batteries and plastics.
  120.
  121. >Sweetie Belle-but for reals this time, Sweeties room smells strongly of slightly rotting roses, in a way that makes you think Rarity keeps putting vases of them in here, and Sweetie never throws them away or refills the water in them. The room smells of slightly worn carpeting and has undertones of both clean and dirty clothes. The smell of crayons, markers, and paints is strong in the room, along with the smell of well-cuddled plush toys. The smell from the bathroom suggests that it is rarely cleaned and that a scented candle might be trying to mask an overflowing trash bin. Her bedding smells clean, with very faint traces of urine still hanging onto the mattress from younger days. Sweetie's breath is neither fresh nor sour, like a filly who brushes responsibly, so long as someone reminds her, but forgets otherwise. Her mane smells like strawberry shampoo. She smells a little dirty, in a kid sort of way, but it's pretty faint overall. The faint smell of markers and glue hangs around her.
  122.
  123. ***************************
  124. >Scootaloo
  125.
  126. >Scoots-Scootaloo's room smells of unwashed clothes and sweat. It smells bad. There is a not unnoticeable trace of urine to the smell, and it combines with the sweat smell, along with the smell of hand-me-down and reworn clothes. The tiny pot of daisies in the window does nothing to improve matters. There are moderate tones of glossy poster paper, leather balls, and wood. Her bedding smells bad. She clearly showers before bed, but it has gone unwashed for long enough that it makes no difference. Scootaloo smells a little cleaner than her surroundings, but the smell of sweat and light urine is noticeable. Her shampoo is bubblegum, and so is her toothpaste.
  127.
  128. **************************
  129. >Stellar Flare
  130.
  131. >Stellar Flare-this place smells exactly how you think it would, and too strongly. Potpourri and oak mix in the air, creating a heavy, rosy scent. Somewhere, a cedar scentbox is full of frankincense. Smells from the master bath include a host of bath scents, scrubs, salts, candles and fragrances. The bedding is lush and heavy, suffocating, even, trapping in the smell of your breath in a hot coat around your face before you emerge, but the fabric is clean, and scented with lavender. There are faint smells of orange, lemon and chocolate in the house. Stellar Flare smells of hairspray and Chanel perfume. She thinks #5 is a classic, but it smells like old person to you. Her mane has the distinct chemical smell of colors and color-specific shampoos. Her breath smells like cinnamon altoids.
  132.
  133. ***********************
  134. >Lightning Dust
  135.
  136. >Lightning Dust-her room smells like that of a performance athlete; towit, the aforementioned sweaty workout clothes, salad farts, and protein bar farts. If anything it smells worse than Rainbow's room, as though LD has embraced her inner gymbro and doesn't try to cover the scent or worry too much about the smell. All of her clothes, workout and casual are lumped into one stinking hamper. The smell of lycra and leather are strong in the room, and, camphor, menthol and lidocaine muscle rubs add their uniquely spicy musk to the air. Somewhere there is an open can of energy drink. The sweat and clothes make the air heavy and slightly damp. A set of dumbells in the corner smell like sweaty nickel. Her bedding stinks, as though she hasn't put in the effort to wash it in some time, and has, on occasion, collapsed onto the bed without showering. Lightning Dust's mane mostly smells like sweat, but it's a very wet, unscented sweat, and you can smell her dandruff shampoo underneath it. Her coat has a much stronger odor to it, the sweat on her body smelling slightly heavy but also slightly bitter with vegetables. Her breath smells like energy drink and fish-oil burps.
  137.
  138. **************************
  139. >Cherry Berry
  140.
  141. >Cherry Berry-the strong smell of industrial lubricant and leather polish pull at your waking nose. Something mixes with the leather, like a waterproofing wax. The smell of wet and worn wool adds another level of organics to the room. The bedding is soft and pleasantly bamboo weave, luscious and exotic at the same time. The smell of uncorked port wine and champagne drifts from her bedside table, and further away you can smell her whiskey decanter, scotch. Somewhere in the room you smell gunmetal. The attached bath smells of salt. Faintly, from an open window, you can smell the wisps of propane, chain grease, gasoline, rubber, and nylon. Cherry Berry's mane and coat smell organic and horsey, as though she bathes frequently, but only in fresh water. Her breath smells of spirits, strawberries and cigarettes.
  142.
  143. *************************
  144. >Nightmare Moon
  145.
  146. >Nightmare Moon-the room smells supercharged and energetic, like an iron foundry, but cold. Like Celestia, NMMs aura of defensive spells cost the air around her in the smell of ozone and ionized air. The sharp smell of burnt black powder is in the air, but crisp and with only the faintest Sulphur undercurrent. You can smell leather and steel in the room. The lavish, but still insufficient, bedding smells of new satin.
  147. >nightmare moon smells like burning sugar and cold metal. Her mane smells like the air before a lightning storm, and her breath smells disastrous. The sickly sweet reek of ketones on her breath makes you think of someone starving to death.
  148.
  149. **************************
  150. >Gilda
  151.
  152. >Gilda-y'know damn well it's a nest. It's a nice nest, admittedly, I mean, nice by bird standards, by griffon standards, who knows. The cotton blanket under you is thick and smells relatively clean, but the smell of hundreds of dead and drying woven branches beneath it is very discernable. The res of the bedding has absorbed the smell of the surrounding air, which is dominated by the smell of griffon. Sadly, the smell of griffon is pretty much the smell of a pigeon coop making friends with a lion habitat. It's musty, musky, dusty and feathery all at the same time. The bright note among this is the smell of fresh, deliciously baked scones drifting in from the next room. If you woke up after 5am, then Gilda's probably already baking, as bakers are wont to do, but if she decided to hang out with you her breath smells like a cuttlebone. Gilda smells faintly like athletic bodyspray over the top of whatever smell, feathers or lion, you happen to be sniffing. Her feet smell like athletic fungicide.
  153.
  154. *****************************
  155. >Wet Rarara (Rained Rara)
  156.
  157. >Wet Rarara-her wet hair and tail hold up surprisingly well, scent-wise. It still smells faintly of product, and smells like wet human hair after a cool shower. Her coat fares less well, and she definitely smells a bit horsey. The perfumes and powder which usually mask her underlying odor wash away, leaving the smell of wet and sticky fur. It has a distinct livestock signature to it. Her breath is fine, although it does have that special smell you get when someone's breath is filtered through dripping lips. Her hooves smell bad. Wet hooves smell pungent and a little cheesy, like a whole cup of fingernail clippings.
  158.
  159. ****************************
  160. >Applejack
  161.
  162. >OK, here's the break down, normal horses have a pretty inefficient digestion compared to ruminants, so their poops aren't actually that stinky. They're actually pretty grassy smelling, because they haven't really been broken down my enzymes and bacteria that really produce that fecal smell.
  163. >That said, the ponies in mlp have a pretty unique diet. Treekicker there obviously has a pretty high apple intake, based on the foods we see the family produce, as well as a lot more processed carbs, and a pretty low grass intake compared to foods they name like carrots and celery. It's a lot more like a foraging diet than a grazing diet. It's going to smell a little different.
  164. >In the comic, though, I think it's pretty clearly implied that AJ thinks her fart will be very stinky, suggesting that the artist is equating them to a normal human fart.
  165. >Let's put that together to get:
  166.
  167. >Applefarts-AJ's bathroom smells very nice, usually. the one in the house, not the outhouse, which...well, don't think too hard about it. The farm keeps some cinnamon scented candles in there. But those take time to diffuse, and right now, AJ has let loose a great big post-prandial toot. The strongest smells you will notice are sharp and acidic. The concentration of vegetable like onions and apples in her diet is overwhelming on her digestion, and results in an eye-watering vinegar smell. This definitely dominates the olfactory environment, but beneath that are some other more muted tones, that have a smell more like a compost heap than fecal matter. Semi-decayed root vegetables, grass, hay, and oats all mix to form a very earthy subtone. There are outright fecal elements though, as the simple carbs in pies and pastries digest into pure icky poo. Thank goodness for those cinnamon candles.
  168.
  169. ****************************
  170. >Fluttershy
  171.
  172. >Yellowquiet's house, but not her bedroom. See original Flutters' post for bedroom smells
  173. >The entertaining room smells clean and tidy. A mild sweetness hangs in the air, reminding you of granma's house, a pleasant mixture of clean wool, aromatic tea, baked goods, animal dander and pressed linen tablecloths. Your nose is particularly drawn to the smell of fresh scones and rose-hip tea. A pot of chrysanthemums sits in the middle of the table, smelling slightly earthy in it's soil. Only deep sniffing reveals any tart animal smells. The resident fauna is clearly on its best behavior here.
  174. >The kitchen-the smell of vinegar dominated this environment. It is sanitary, but through dent of great effort by Fluttershy, who apparently prefers distilled vinegar as her cleaning solution. The crisp and delightful smell of freshly rinsed and cut leafy vegetables is in the air, with the clear notes of cucumber and sprouts adding a piquant note. The denser smell of root vegetables and mushrooms mixes with this, and sweet tones from fresh and dried fruits brighten the environment. A bag of seed is fresh and fatty smelling. The slightly pungent smell of mealworms crawls its way into all of this. Depending on your personal headcanon, the stink of raw fish comes from a worksink, by a mouthwatering smelling hunk of lean red meat
  175. >cont
  176. >Everywhere else-there is a running battle between cleaning and animal filth, resulting in a very bright, mildly acidic environment. The stink of ammonia is omnipresent and cloying. The sharp smell of rodent droppings is everywhere, mixing with the heavier smell of large animal waste. Bird crap adds its own musty tones. If it weren't for the ammonia and vinegar smell clearing your sinuses, your nose would have stuffed up entirely unter the barrage of fur, dander, and feathers. Some animals go by largely without notice; the rodents tend to be fairly clean, but the bears, dogs and cats cannot help their shedding. Groomed bird plumage stinks on the ground. The organic and dirty smell of birds nests are in the air. The dusty smell of cobwebs hides in corners. Rotting fruit is far too sweet in the air, and the cheesy-fingernail smell of chewed hooves mixes with the chalky smell of chewed antlers.

  179. >Tree Hugger
  180.
  181. >Tree Hugger - she smells like the outdoors. You're well aware of the hippy and stoner memes that swirl around her, and yet she doesn't smell unwashed, though she is clearly not a fan of perfumed soaps. Also conspicuously (to your mind) absent is the smell of any kind of smoke. Asleep, she is totally relaxed, just the slightest musk of her sweat from spending the night under the covers, overlaid with the scent of leaves, sunshine, and breezes, natural enough for someone who spends so much of her time outdoors. Her reaction on waking and seeing you is completely laid back. She simply regards you with her violet eyes, then says, simply, "Hey. What's up?"

  184. >Thorax
  185.
  186. >Gaybugking-following the changeling transformation-your sense of smell is mostly overwhelmed with the strange, moist, and warm smell of your bedding. It feels like smooth, if somewhat damp silk, but smells bitter and vaguely caustic. You have the unnerving suspicion that when Thorax put out fresh bedding for you, it came from one of his orifices. The chamber smells fresh and flowery, but not in a flowershop way. It makes you think of a meadow in spring, with a sharp wetness and delicate sweet flowers mixing with the smell of ferns and grass. Somewhere, a water fixture is pouring across chalky-smelling stone. There are pastries in an oven somewhere in the house, and the faint smell of watercolor paints. Thorax has very little scent to him in general, but that scent is stark and chitinous, somehow both organic and smelling of plastic at the same time, with graphite in there for good measure. The delicate and prickly hairs on his body smell of kiwi-lime shampoo. His cute hoovsies smell like gypsum. His breath smells marvelous, like vanilla and pine.
  187. >Also, you are in bed with a rainbow colored dude obsessed with love and affection. Most of your family is supportive of your homosexuality, but your religious mother probably won't attend the wedding. The thought takes you back to the smell of faux leather Bible covers and those thin, delicate pages with the edges coated in gold leaf, and for a moment you feel guilt, before the nostalgic smell of warm sweat, lube, and rose-scented massage oil washes away those painful thoughts.
  188. >You remember the taste of appletinis, the drink you had on the night you finally made love for the first time, two months after meeting him, and playing the beautiful game of cat and mouse. Or Bug, as it were.
  189. >Nigga you ultragey.

  192. >Soarin
  193.
  194. >Soarin-like the other performance athletes so far, Soarin's house has a distinctly sweaty and damp smell to it, but it has a different quality than the ladies. The sweat smell is more omnipresent, but, at the same time, more muted, less acidic and more organic. It mixes with the aftermath of protein and creatine shakes to create a smell surprisingly similar to raw potatoes on the verge of going rotten, but still just barely edible, or perhaps a compost bucket full of day old potato peels, carrot ends, and old asparagus. The effect is offset by the spark of energy drinks, Soarin' seems like a RedBull kinda pone. You almost sneeze from the choking NOs dust in the air. A fresh apple pie on the counter adds a strange and spicy counterpoint to the room, missing with the cute, but ultimately bizarre choice to have a pot of cut daisies on his table. His sweaty clothes are in a carefully contained hamper, sealed until washday. The bedlinens are a bit off, they are due for a wash, but there's nothing grody about them. Soarin exudes a low level aura of sweat at all times, as though his body never really gets the signal to shut off after a workout, or, possibly, is so used to needing to sweat that it starts up at a moments notice. He smells manly and musky, he apparently uses bourbon scented soap and shampoo. His breath smells faintly of cinnamon, but mostly of morning breath.

  197. >PurpleSmart
  198.
  199. >PurpleSmart-the room smells like a library. Specifically, it smells like the library near the downtown busstop, the one that homeless people visit to use the restroom and take naps in the biography section. The overwhelming smell is of paper-loose paper, scroll paper, random scraps of paper, all sorts of paper, and, of course, paper bound up in cardboard, cloth and leather. Rows and rows of books absorb and release the air like a sponge, but if you had to point to a difference, these books are all well loved and read, not one is dusty. The second most prominent smell is that of a bookish shut-in who indiscreetly releases her gas when not entertaining guests, and doesn't notice enough to light a candle. She very probably leaves piss in the toilet to save water judging from the odor. Overlayed on that, and emanating from a corner of the room with books covered in brown wrapping paper is the smell of sex. Well. Masturbation in any case. The unmistakable taint of wet horsepussy leaks from a hamper by said corner, and you suspect that Twi wipes her hooves off on her dirty clothes after her sessions, and that she hasn't washed the clothes in that hamper in some time.
  200. >Not everything is foul, you do detect the fresh smell of salad from another room, and the pleasant aroma of black tea from a mug on the desk. The air smells pleasantly woody, with a touch of feathers adding to that effect. The bedding smells largely unwashed and has crumbs in it. Twilight smells like unscented soap, but an undercurrent of sweat and poor buttwiping is there as well, she clearly has not washed her mane in a few days. Her breath smells like studious brushing for 60 seconds, three times a day, and flossing twice.

  203. >Candy and Shiny
  204.
  205. >Candy and Shiny-the master bedroom smells royally large, clean, and furnished. The overall smell is one of vastness, the vaulted crystal ceilings and distant walls create such a volume of space that smells become diluted into a vaguely generic "indoorsyness." The smell of metal polish and cleaning solutions is bitingly present, as are the softer tones of cut roses and oiled wooden tables. The bedclothes on the royal bed are lush and clean, but smell of hardworking ponies, and, yes, sex. The stink of baby wafts from a rococo crib. Shining Armor smells like axe body wash and some sort of hair product. His breath is minty and fresh. Cadence smells of a floral bodywash and a subtle, but effective perfume. It is light and springy, befitting a sunny morning. Her breath is fresh and spicy, as though she regularly chews parsley.

  207. --------
  208. And here is for the anon who wants to know what dicks smell like
  209.
  210. >Dicks-dicks smell like dicks, famalam. Generally speaking a well kept dick smells vaguely fleshy with a warm organic muskiness to it and there's usually a slightly damp sense to it, but it pretty much just smells like skin with an unusually heavy concentration of body odor to it. There's usually at least a tiny hint of butt smell just by proximity. If it's a well maintained butt this can add a pleasantly heavy and manly scent to the region. If they're sweaty or dirty of course they smell worse. You don't want that.
  211.
  212. Why the hell do you want to know what dicks smell like you crazy bastard? You some kinda gay?
