                                            >In the distance, you see a shadowy figure. It seems to be a unicorn.

                                            "Behold, ponies! As I ...The GREAT and POWERFUL TRRRIXIE perform my mightiest magical spell!"

                                            "Just be warned! Your eyes could pop out of their sockets by merely witnessing such a magestic spell!", she exclaims.

                                            >"Oh, hi Trixie! What are you doing? Is it a new performance?"

                                            "Why yes! Of course, my dear pink friend. I am practicing for the soon-to-be premiered best performance so far!", she says with confidence in her eyes.

                                            "Starlight left a papyrus under the Cutie Map table yesterday, which had an unfinished spell. A proud unicorn as I couldn't leave the issue unresolved so I took it and corrected some of the instructions and added a few words", she asserted with a smug smile in her face.

                                            >"OOooOOOoh! That sounds fun, Trixie . Would you show me that? Pretty please pleeeaaaaseeee", you beg with very convincing cute puppy eyes.

                                            "But of course! The GREAT and POWERFUL TRRRIXIE needs a voluntary to watch it before the big premiere next moon."

                                            >"Yipeeee!"

                                            "Don't get too excited, Pinkie. I need you to stay still for the spell."

                                            >"Okie dokie lokie!"

                                            "Here goes my marevelous spell!", she shouts at the sky.

                                            >Her horn begins to glow while she pronounces some words.

                                            "From bottop to top, end to end, your journey has just began!!!"

                                            >Just as she finished saying such words, the spell was complete.

                                            >Both of you're watching at every direction trying to figure out what happened.

                                            "I don't know what went wrong. I followed each step correctly and didn't miss any detail."

                                            >You can feel sorrow in her words.

                                            >"It's no biggie. Don't let a bad thing ruin your mood for the whole day."

                                            "It's just...I.."

                                            "I was so sure it'd work. I tried day and n...", she is abruptly interrupted by a loude noise.

                                            >Suddenly, a void appears in the sky.

                                            >It takes form quickly. It's not a void but a portal.

                                            >You're swallowed by it in a matter or fillyseconds.

                                            >You can hear Trixie's words fading as you are sent to another place.


                                            "What what what what?! No no no no no nooo! This wasn't supposed to happen."

                                            "She. She should've just grown temporary wings and be sent to a cloud with the shape of a slide while descending as if she was playing."

                                            "I can't be responsible for this! Only a part of it was my addition, right? It just can't be my fault. I planned it very thoroughly. I was basically a Twilight for the last few days checking it was safe to use on creatures".

                                            "I can't let the town find out about this. I don't want to go to jaaaaaaaaaaaaail", she weeps in desperation.

                                            >She continues crying for a few minutes before she regained her composure.

                                            "I...I...better take care of this. I gotta make her come back before anyone realizes."

                                            "With my awful luck, somepony must've noticed the portal".

                                            >Trixie looks around. It seems nobody saw it. The ponies nearby are either absent minded or blind.

                                            >A young stallion wanders around. It looks like he heard something.

                                            "Thank you, my magic wagon. Your size was enough to cover the scene. Hopefully that guy stops investigating what it was."

                                            "I have much work to do and so little time left", she acknowledged while looking at the ground distressed.


                                            >The portal is long.

                                            >You've been floating in this place for about 3 minutes.

                                            >"Bummer! This place is not fun at all. It's empty. There's nothing to do here!"

                                            >You pout for the next 8 minutes.

                                            >There's sound coming ahead of you. It sounds like a gym.

                                            >"Huh? Is the portal taking me to a gym?"

                                            >"Wooooooh! Finally I'll see some familiar faces and have a pinktastic day!"

                                            >You're getting close to the end of the portal.

                                            >You can see some lockers, benches and...

                                            >"What the hay?! They are tall biped creatures."

                                            >You pause briefly to think.

                                            >"I guess it's time to make new friends."

                                            >You jump towards the portal's end and land on some solid surface.

                                            >"Ouch! These tiles are too hard for my hoofsies."

                                            >You take out your Secret Party boots and wear them.

                                            >"Much better!"

                                            >It seems like the creatures haven't noted your presence yet.

                                            >"Hi tall creatures!"

                                            >No one turns their head to you.

                                            >"Are you ignoring me?"

                                            >There isn't an answer coming from anybody.

                                            >"That's mean!"

                                            >You go around the lockers touching and tugging their pants in hope for a reaction to come from them but nothing happens.

                                            >"Hhhm. Why don't they respond? Did I do something bad?", you ask but still got no answers.

                                            >You lay down on a bench thinking about what you could've done to upset them.

                                            >While you were showering in your thoughts, another tall creature came through a door.

                                            >It didn't have a helmet like the others.

                                            >"Huh?"

                                            >It's walking towards you.

                                            >Could it be that someone will finally become your friend in this place?

                                            >"Hi! I'm Pinkie Pie. What's your name?"

                                            >It fixes its stare on you.

                                            >"Is there something wrong, friend?"

                                            >With its gaze still on you, the creature is there totally still. You can feel like it's panicking inside.

                                            >Without any signal, the creature just continued its way and walks past you towards a locker.

                                            >"Oh, you're just a meanie like the others!", you exclaim before crossing your front legs.

                                            >You hear a faint sound coming from it.

                                            "I'm not crazy.", the creature murmurs several times while shaking.

                                            >"Are you okay"

                                            "AH!"

                                            The creature looks around. His breathing calmed down a bit when he realized the other creatures left the room a few minutes ago.

                                            "I am starting to see things."

                                            "DAMN YOU, DOC! I SHOULDN'T HAVE LET YOU PUT THAT SYRINGE ON ME!"

                                            "Now I'm broken."

                                            >You worry about the creature's well being.

                                            >"Is something hurting you?"

                                            "I'm going insane, aren't I? I was on the brim of death and scared. I should've died there."

                                            "It was a mistake. There's no way that was an ordinary stimpack."

                                            "Now my mind is tormenting me with the vision of a small pink horse."

                                            >"Hay!", you stomp on his hand.

                                            "This planet is lava and rock. GML shouldn't be here until we recolonize the planet?

                                            "Genetically Modified Livestock."

                                            >Hay! "I'm not livestock and I don't come from a lab!"

                                            "Really? Then why are you pink and can talk?!"

                                            >"Because I was born this way, you meanie!"

                                            Nonny seemes perplexed at your explanation.

                                            "Are you protoss?! Shiiiiiit! This planet was supposed to be inhabited only by the zerg before we arrived."

                                            "I gotta warn the commander!", Nonny sprints towards the door but you catch it before it leaves.

                                            >"That's a rude way to behave in front of a friend. Get back here!"

                                            >Your stretched leg pulls him to you in seconds.

                                            "We are in the barracks."

                                            "I'm a marine from the Raynor's Raiders."

                                            >"Go on", you say with an intrigued stare.

                                            "We are in planet Redstone III in the Koprolu sector.

                                            >"I see. And you're a...?"

                                            "Human. A human marine."

                                            >"That's all I need to know for now. Thanks for your cooperation, friend."

                                            "Could you take your hoof off me now, please?"

                                            >"Ooh, right! Sorry."

                                            >"And do you have parties often here?"

                                            "Are you serious? A party in this hostile world?"

                                            "I think the only insane one here is you."

                                            >"Party pooper!", she says while sticking her tongue out.

                                            "Alright. Since you're not a threat and I have some free time, do you want me to give you a tour?"

                                            "Alright. Follow me."

                                            >She quickly prances alongside you.

                                            "That room we just left is the training station. It's like a gym but without equipment."

                                            "The VCEs never bother building some for us", you pause for a moment.

                                            "Cheapskate bastards!"

                                            >"Nonny, watch your language!"

                                            "It's fine. Everyone does it here. Doesn't your kind do it too?

                                            >"No. It's considered very rude, so we don't do it."

                                            "You haven't seen the Command Center. VCEs go in and out of there all the time. I bet it's built with comfort in mind."

                                            "The commander never allows any other unit in there."

                                            "It's like he's hiding something."

                                            "I heard rumors that each one of them has their own rooms. That must be it."

                                            >"Nonny, I'd like to meet them to become my friends but you offered me a tour here first."

                                            "Oh! Right."

                                            "Anyways. Here in the barracks we have 5 stations: training, the bunks, galley , the lab and the 'rack's command.

                                            >Both of you continue walking until you see a door entrance at your left.

                                            "This is the bunks. We, the marines, sleep and rest here even if we're fatally wounded and begging for death when the pain becomes unbearable."

                                            >"Oh my! That sounds terrible."

                                            "It is. It is."

                                            >"Do you all share in these tiny rooms?"

                                            "Yes. Nobody has their own room. Each room has 4 bunks, so I share mine with other 3 soldiers."

                                            >"Are they your friends?"

                                            "2 are."

                                            >"What about the third one?"

                                            "We got in a fight for a stupid reason."

                                            >"How so? Did you do something silly that bothered him or her?"

                                            "Yes. He asked me for some money to buy a mojito at the bar in the Hyperion and I asked him to return my money."

                                            "He laughed at me, turned around and acted as if I wasn't there."

                                            "Also, these are the men's bunks. Women sleep on the right. They are the medics.

                                            >"Maybe he had a bad day and couldn't express his feelings correctly."

                                            "I don't think so. It's been 3 weeks since that happened."

                                            >"Well. If you want, I could try to reason with him."

                                            "Thanks, Pinkie. You're very friendly even though you're a talking pink small horse."

                                            "Right. Right. Sorry about that. The stimpacks we use sometimes messes our brains that we forget words or even memories."

                                            >The pony gasps in desperation.

                                            >"Are you fine?!", Pinkie immediately screams at the top of her lungs.

                                            "Fuck! Stop that. I'm fine. The effects are temporary...most of the time."

                                            >"I'm relieved to hear that. For a second I thought you could die. I was so worried that I..."

                                            >You put your finger on her lips.

                                            "Yes, I'm fine. Now stop hyperventilating. It's stressing me."

                                            >"Okay", she grabs a paperbag out of nowhere and calms herself down with it.

                                            "Suuuuure..."

                                            "Keep walking. We are going to the galley."

                                            >Her cheeks suddenly turn to a red that you never thought would be possible for an already pink pony."

                                            >"Do you have galas here?!", she asks with uncontrollable excitement."

                                            "A what?"

                                            >"A gala, silly! It's an event where you can meet new ponies, make new friends, eat sweet yummy food for your tummy and, most importantly, PARTY!"

                                            >"Don't you know it?"

                                            "We don't do that here, Pinkie. This is the G A L L E Y. Our food is stored here and we eat it here. There's little space, so most of the food is canned."

                                            >"Huuuum!", you can hear her disappointment.

                                            "Do parties mean so much to you?"

                                            >"Yes. There's nothing that makes me happier than meeting new ponies or humans, in your case."

                                            >"Spending time with my friends is very precious to me. We go out, have fun, make jokes, eat together, go to the spa and much more."

                                            >"I know I can count on them and they can count on me no matter how serious and scary a situation is."

                                            "I see. You're a lucky pony, Pie. Sadly, your luck run out 'cause you're in the 'racks right now. This place ain't like your typical tea party houses."

                                            >"Now you're talking funny. You sound just like my friend Applejack."

                                            "I shouldn't be impressed. Befriending a cowboy is something you would totally do."

                                            >"She's not a boy. She's a girl and the correct word for her is "cowpony" .

                                            >"Huh? Now that I think of it should be "cowmare" ."

                                            "What's so funny?"

                                            >"I'm talking like my friend Twilight now. I guess I should talk about this with her."

                                            >"She enjoys anything that's related to rules, so languages apply too."

                                            >"Indeed I do!", she says with a grin that goes from ear to ear.

                                            "Let's continue."

                                            >A minute after, you see a door with 3 security locks.

                                            >"What's in there?"

                                            "This is the door that connects the barracks to the laboratory. It's basically filled with medical equipment, computers and scientists' stuff. Reapers, firebats, marauders and marines aren't allowed here."

                                            >"Why not?"

                                            "It's actually a funny story."

                                            "A few missions ago, a firebat allegedly started a fire in a lab by accident."

                                            "The scientists were totally in panic but managed to stop the fire. However, the damage was already done."

                                            "Their research was lost. And, oh girl! They. Were. FURIOUS!"

                                            "They didn't hold their tongues when informing Raynor."

                                            >She seems captivated by the story so far.

                                            "The commander was even more pissed off because we were tight on minerals in that planet. We had just 145 units before running out."

                                            >You let out a loud laugh.

                                            "You should've seen his face when he scolded the firebat."

                                            "He was so angry that he banned all the firebats from entering the labs again."

                                            >"But what about the other soldiers?"

                                            "Oh, you mean the reapers and marauders?"

                                            "That's actually funnier. You see. Marauders and firebats' mechs are almost identical. Their parts all the same exect for a few tanks and the weapons in their hands, so a few of those idiots tried to switch to a marauder's to enter the lab again in the next mission."

                                            "And guess what."

                                            >Did they break something?"

                                            "YES! That's exactly what happened. 2 of them couldn't get used to the new mechs, so they must've pressed the wrong buttons or something because they broke a terminal and research was lost again. The other one left didn't break anything except his own mech because he went on a rampage inside it."

                                            "Those guys are even more mentally unstable than us marines. Ha ha!"

                                            >She worries about your statement."

                                            "No no no no. You got me wrong. My mind is safe and sound. I thought you were a hallucination due to a stimpack but you proved me wrong. Remember?"

                                            >"I suppose that's true", she smiles at you.

                                            "Back to the story now."

                                            "Even though the marauders weren't at fault, Raynor forbade them from entering the labs."

                                            "And, just to be sure, Raynor also prohibited the entrance to reapers because he thinks the firebats could break something again while using their jetpacks if they try to sneak in again."

                                            >"Well. That's just unfair. Others shouldn't be punished for the bad things they didn't do."

                                            "I know but our lives are risked every day. This stuff shouldn't happen again or we could die. Seriously. The lab support is important for all infantry."

                                            >"I think I understand", she looks puzzled at the decisions of your allies and commander.

                                            "I know it's confusing. We humans deal with life in a different way. Your home planet sounds much more appealing than this piece of hot rock we call Redstone III."

                                            >"OoOOooh! I just remembered this place is full of rocks. I have to collect some rocks for my sister Maud when I get out of the barracks."

                                            "Is she just like you?"

                                            >"Maud is the bestest coolest knowledgeable sister a pony could have aaaaaand she has a rocktorade", she said that last part with pride.

                                            "What's a rocktorade?"

                                            >She's a doctor in the study of rocks. She's a complete expert in her field. You could give her any rock and she'd tell you everything about it with just glancing at it."

                                            "Wooooah! No way!"

                                            >Uuuhuum! She's just that good."

                                            "She would be a great addition for us. We could use her help in the Hyperion. Stetmann would be hyped to discuss about this weird mineral called joheem...jarim...Oh! Jorium. WE are extracting jorium right now."

                                            >"Are you still forgetful?"

                                            "No. It's not that. This mineral is something nobody has ever heard before except that so-called Tosh and the Dominion apparently.

                                            >"Do you know him? Is he your friend?"

                                            "No and no. He's a suspicious sneaky man who contacted Raynor for this mission. Most of the crew doesn't trust him, even Horner."

                                            >Are Raynor and Horner your friends?"

                                            "Stop asking! I'm not friends with any person I mention."

                                            >"Sorry."

                                            >She tries to dig up some dirt with her hoof but she realizes the floor is made out of steel.

                                            "Look. I am in this planet because I fight for them. I think their beliefs are morals are what humanity needs to progress. Mengsk is a tyrant that abandons the people and even his own troops whenever he pleases."

                                            >She gasps even louder than last time.

                                            >"He is eeeeevil."

                                            "Do you have someone like him in your planet?"

                                            >"I'm not entirely sure but I think King Sombra would so something like that. He enslaved ponies during his reign but he's no longer the monarch of the Crystal Kingdom. Princess Cadance governs there with her husband Shining Armor."

                                            >"He's my friend Twilight's brother."

                                            "Wow! You know the royalty of your sector?! You must be an important pony."

                                            >"I like to think I'm just a humble and friendly party pony."

                                            "You truly are something else."

                                            >Her cheeks reveal a soft blush.

                                            >"Moving aside that topic, please tell me why you aren't allowed in the lab."

                                            >"I'm worried that your commander Raynor also banned marines due to someone's mistake."

                                            "Actually, I don't know. He never told us why."

                                            >"Could you at least guess the reason?"

                                            "I suppose he doesn't considers us skilled enough to use the stuff there."

                                            >"That makes sense unlike the other wacky reasons you just told me about."

                                            "Yeah."

                                            "Oh! I almost forgot. Some barracks have a reactor instead of a tech lab. It is a structure like the laboratory but it allows the barrack to train 2 units at the same time."

                                            >"And can the others train too?"

                                            "Not really. No. Without a lab, only marines can train here. However, Swann bought the Advanced Medic Facilities upgrade from the folks of Remedius Medical Systems."

                                            "It was about time! Medics are important to us. Without them, we wouldn't return to the base or last long in the battlefield."

                                            "So, even without the lab, medics can train here."

                                            >She is happy to hear that.

                                            >"Is there any other building for the barracks?"

                                            "Not right now. Stetmann told us that Raynor hasn't decided yet. We tried convincing him to choose the tech reactor but he doesn't want to pick yet. He said it's a very tough choice."

                                            "I was like "Chief, WE need that. Without firebats and marauders, we'll be cannon fodder for the zerg. We have to get their support twice as fast" but he still wasn't sure about his decision."

                                            >"Oooh, I get it now! He behaves like my friend Rarity. She's so picky for everything, especially her clothing."

                                            >"I think they would get along just fine."

                                            "If you say so."

                                            "Come on. We're a few steps of the barracks command.

                                            >She trots up eagerly by your side.

                                            >"I hope there's lots of fun there."

                                            "Here we are. This place is filled with computers, radio stations and other comms equipment. It also has the terminal that controls the navigation of the building."

                                            >"Navigate what?", she asks with puzzled look on her pink face.

                                            "Human, I mean, terran buildings can lift off the ground and fly."

                                            >Her pupils dilate just the moment you finished your words and she prances eagerly on her spot.

                                            >"Is it like a hot-air balloon?"

                                            >"Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!", she stomps the ground incessantly.

                                            >She's as excited as she was when you mentioned the galley.

                                            "Yes. I guess you could call it a ride in an hot-air balloon."

                                            >"Can we fly now? Pretty please", she looks at you with her puppy eyes again.

                                            "I wish I could do that for you but I can't."

                                            >"But why?", her face became drooping like in a cartoon.

                                            "I just can't. Only the commander can override the terminal's security protocol to activate it via online."

                                            "If he couldn't manage directing the building, then he would turn on the manual control protocol. Then, and only then, anybody could take control of the building to take us to a safe place."

                                            "It's done only in emergencies and it's not a game."

                                            >"So even if you could, you wouldn't do that? You told me you wanted to."

                                            "Yes, I'd do it if we weren't in a mission."

                                            >"What mission? You mentioned that many times so far."

                                            "I told you before. I'll tell you again just because you're so nice to me."

                                            >She brings out a popcorn bag and starts chewing.

                                            "But... How did you do that?"

                                            >"Do what?"

                                            "You took out that out of nowhere. That's impossible!"

                                            >"That's not true. I wouldn't lie to you and you shouldn't do that to me either."

                                            >"I have a super secret pouch on my flank. I painted it pink so I could camouflag it with my coat's fur."

                                            >You tilt your head and see a small bag on her side.

                                            "Did I tell you you're really unique?"

                                            >"Yes, you did", she smiles again.

                                            "As I was saying, we are here to collect a new mineral called jorium. It's yellow and it's very valuable for an reason unknown to me."

                                            "Tosh convinced Raynor to make some quick cash and now we're here. It's..."

                                            >"INCOMING LAVA UPRISING! SEEK HIGH GROUNDS IMMEDIATELY!", the barrack's siren communicates.

                                            >"Will a volcano erupt?! Please take me somewhere else! I don't want to be burned by lava", she finishes with a flustered expression on her face.

                                            "Chill. It's not that. This planet is made of lava and rocks. It won't come here. We're safe in the barracks because it's built on high ground."

                                            >"That's a relief. Phew!"

                                            >You're quickly interrupted by another message.

                                            >"ZERG PRESENCE DETECTED!"

                                            "Oh shit! This is bad. Quick! Follow me. I've got to go for my rifle.

                                            >"THE BASE IS UNDER ATTACK!"

                                            "Hurry up! We have to...Huh?!"

                                            >You didn't notice she already outpaced you.

                                            >Your lungs get agitated.

                                            "Makes...sense. This armor is...too heavy to run."

                                            >"I am a pony. We are fast, silly!", she replies as she gallops towards your bunk.

                                            >"I supposed you would leave your belongings here in your room."

                                            "I told you it's not my room."

                                            >"Where you sleep then. Happy?"

                                            "Hand. I mean, hoof me the rifle. It's a big metal black thing."

                                            >She hands over the rifle to you.

                                            "I know. Now, stay here while I take care of this. If I don't return, remember me as your first human friend."

                                            >You sprint towards the exit to join the battlefield.

                                            >She didn't followed your order and gallops in your direction.

                                            "Get back in there! It's too dangerous for you."

                                            >She doesn't respond and keeps galloping at full speed.


                                            >You reach the exit with her at your left side.

                                            >In the proximity, you distinguish the shape of around 32 zerlings.

                                            >The other marines are suffering heavy casualties.

                                            >You freeze in the act.

                                            >"Hay! Haaaay! Are you listening?"

                                            >"Snap out of it!"

                                            >She slaps your face with her hoof.

                                            "Eh?"

                                            >"Good. What should we do?"

                                            "I will go there and help. You come there and close the door. There are scientists there that could lift the 'racks if the situation gets worse."

                                            >"I already told you I won't!"

                                            "I can't keep wasting time. Just do what I said."

                                            >You join the battle.

                                            >You feel your surroundings in slow motion.

                                            >Each shot. You can hear every single one.

                                            >You see your allies dying.

                                            >The marine:medic ratio shrinking.

                                            >You feel fear again but you don't stop.

                                            >You keep firing your rifle and reloading at full speed.

                                            >If you die, you accept it. At least you'll die knowing someone will remember you: your newest friend.
