"Chrysalis, lighten up! We're here to have fun~"
-
>Chrysalis scowls at Twilight.
-
>"Fun? What fun is there to have here? It's all sand!"
-
>Twilight turned to see the others playing in the ocean with audible laughter.
-
"Just sand? There's-"
-
>"Don't even mention the water. I am not swimming."
-
>Twilight looks a little confused, but soon smiles as an idea hits her.
-
"Well, there's a lot you can do with sand! Like..."
-
>Using her magic, she carefully crafts a large sand castle that looks awfully similar to the one back in Ponyville.
-
"How about this? Both of us can make a sand castle, and if mine survives the next big tide, then you'll have to swim with us!"
-
>This is the perfect opportunity! There's no way Chrysalis could resist a challenge like that.
-
>No doubt she'll win against her inexperience and finally obtain a good excuse to drag her into the real fun.
-
>As Twilight was absorbed in thinking about all the activities she could try bonding with her over, she suddenly hears a cackle nearby.
-
>Looking over, it seems Chrysalis built her own sand castle.
-
>If it could even be called a castle. It was more like a fort. Maybe she should channel her inner Rarity...
-
"You're uh, sure you're not gonna do more with that? It's such a simple design, we can make whatever we want!"
-
>Chrysalis glanced up and sneered at her.
-
>"Sorry, miss -princess-, are my tastes not up to your high standards? We Changelings are all about practicality, not useless gaudiness."
-
"No, I didn't mean it like that! It's just... yours can't possibly beat mine like that."
-
>The queen analyzed their fortifications for a few seconds.
-
>"Are we seeing the same reality? Please, don't make me laugh. Take a look at what's coming."
-
>Twilight immediately gazed out toward the ocean, and saw a big wave coming in.
-
"Time to put it to the test then!"
-
>Confident in her victory, she grinned and turned back-
-
>Her castle was in ruins, now looking like a hill more than anything.
-
"H-hey! That's cheating!"
-
>Chrysalis stood on top of it, just noisily slurping from a straw, eyeing the trek back from where they just came.
-
>As the wave washed over her hooves and completely annihilated her enemy, she smirked.
-
>"Don't be a sore loser. You never set any rules, so I did the smart thing."
-
>Before trotting away, she hesitated and mumbled something.
-
>"...for the record, I did have fun."
-
>Once she got far enough away, Twilight simply huffed in frustration.
