  1. Failed entry for PasteJam, couldnt finish it because IRL issues.
  2. >The door flies open when you arrive and a young unicorn with blueish mane walks into the office.
  3. >Having your semi-automatic weapon already raised, you instinctively gun him down before he reacts.
  4. >He falls down, but soon after another pegasus with a yellow mane rushes in with her bayonet.
  5. >You fire again, spraying down bullets that pierce through her body and break the wooden walls.
  6. >She collapses in the hallway, dropping her trench semiautomatic rifle in the act.
  7. >The rushed hoofsteps of a third individual can be heard closer and closer, prompting you to reposition in the left corner of the room closest to the hallway
  8. >They come to a sudden stop, as do you. The saddened whimpers of another mare can be heard near the bodies of the soldier couple.
  9. >''Oh no...''
  10. >If she's smart, she'll know you're still inside and she'll want to force you out of the room with a grenade, where her weapon could very well be waiting for you
  11. >A near thud indicates she laid down her weight and is probably moving the bodies of her allies to use them as shields
  12. >You can hear her breathing, calm, collected, steady, most likely to not disturb the aim of her rifle
  13. >She is close, one corner lap away. You can hear her pulling something out of a back pocket
  14. >No unicorn glowing noise was heard, which indicates she'll have to use one of her hooves to throw it into the room.
  15. >You're close enough to rush in and shoot her. You'll do it as soon as she unpins it.
  16. >...
  17. >...an ignition is heard, the sound of a match getting lit.
  18. >This is the moment you get up and rush around the corner, with your weapon aiming low.
  19. >Chaos unfolds, and you try your best to hit the pegasus mare while spraying down what remains of your magazine.
  20. >She fires a single shot from her rifle, loud enough to drown the sound of your bullets flying out of the chamber.
  21. >The bullet travels with enough force to pierce your left hindleg, making you collapse to the floor in pain.
  22. >Looking up again, however, you now see three corpses lying together on the floor.
  23. >Slowly, you reach for your health kit in your backpack while examining your leg.
  24. >The bullet went right through, a hole the size of a coin was formed as a result.
  25. >You pull out your basic materials to prevent the worse.
  26. >Hydrogen peroxide, for the infection.
  27. >A tourniquet, to stop the bleeding.
  28. >Several cotton swabs and a bandage, to cover it up.
  29. >...while you try your best to tolerate the pain, you take another look at the lives you took.
  30. >Young unicorn, dark ocean mane, light grey coat stained with blood.
  31. >From behind, bullet holes are most notable in his neck. A double-barrel shotgun is buried by the colt's face.
  32. >Young pegasus mare, golden mane, orange coat.
  33. >Met a similar fate as her peer, a pair of googles is hanging from her necklace.
  34. >Young pegasus mare, silver mane, blue coat.
  35. >Barely recognizable due to the bullet holes all over her face, she held a stick of unlid dynamite with one hoof and her sniping rifle with the other.
  36. >All wearing the same dark green uniform. All as young as you are.
  37. >But to you, a choice is what separates an adult from a corpse.
  38. >You reach for their uniforms, still unable to stand up due to your injury.
  39. >Unless they deserted, these soldiers had orders to follow and you're gonna look for them.
  40. >Their pockets reveal all manner of personal treasures.
  41. >Family photographs.
  42. >Relationship photographs.
  43. >Letters containing promises that will now, never be fulfilled.
  44. >And a map, in which the building you're on is marked with a red X
  45. >And so are the adjacent buildings.
  46. >Signs are placed around the map, routes to take, tactics to make.
  47. >You can only guess that, judging by the TNT and the smell of gunpowder, they wanted to set up this building as a trap.
  48. >Surround the enemy and force it to take this area that is most definitely not booby-trapped.
  49. >Unfortunately you don't know how many squads they send in to complete their mission.
  50. >Yours is to scout, theirs is to sabotage.
  51. >Yet, you're still alive.
  52. >As of now your tears are dry.
  53. >What matters now is a plan of action. You know what the enemy wants, and these ponies aren't the last ones you'll see today.
  54. >Hopefully, this won't be your last day alive.
  55. >Your gun begins to shake on its own.
  56. >The mare's telescope.
  57. >The knife at the end of her rifle.
  58. >And the bullets inside the stallion are causing his body to spams lightly on the floor.
  59. >A magnetic field, to which your machine gun is pointing directly at.
  60. >It's coming from the street.
  61. >You decide to stand up and try your best to go upstairs.
  62. >Peaking through the window, you can barely make out the shape of the street due to the immense fog covering the city.
  63. >You reach for the staircase and begin to ascend.
  64. >Inmediatly, a single yell is heard from the streets
  65. >''THAT BUILDING! MOVE IT, MOVE IT, MOVE IT!''
  66. >You hasten your pace as best as you can, by now you have reached the entrance of the first floor.
  67. >Muffled voices are heard in the floor below.
  68. >''...it's the sabotage squad!''
  69. >Silence, then another female speaks up
  70. >''Heads up then. You two, clear the building.''
  71. >In that moment, you know you have to act quickly.
  72. >Opening the windows of the floor would make way for the fog of the city into the room, but you don't know if you have enough time to do that.
  73. >Hearing hoofsteps coming from the staircase only confirms this notion further.
  74. >You can reach the clothing drawer and maybe hide in it until they go away.
  75. >But if they take one look inside then it's game over.
  76. >One of the doors is labelled as ''Radio'', which could at least provide your allies a call for support before your last moments.
  77. >Unless of course, that radio was to be nonfunctional.
  78. >Lastly, you have a butterfly knife in your pocket, which is probably what gave you away in the magnetic field.
  79. >You're not good at throwing knives, but a mare of your size should be able to tackle the average stallion to the ground.
  80. >The door to the radio room is open, and you make it just in time when you hear the hoofsteps stop by at the hallway entrance.
