Expiry: Never

  1. 1.
    >Day WHY IS THE SUN SO BRIGHT
  2. 2.
    >You grunt, slowly opening your eyes.
  3. 3.
    >You loved your little house, and all its quirks, but your window was faced at *just* the right angle to be woken up at practically the break of day.
  4. 4.
    >You sigh, and set upon the task of waking up, briefly pondering on what day it was.
  5. 5.
    >WUMP
  6. 6.
    >...Looks like it's Monday.
  7. 7.
    >You stand up, and throw the blanket that came off the bed with you back to where it belonged.
  8. 8.
    >You walk over to the calendar, and note what day it is.
  9. 9.
    >It appears that you were right, it IS Monday.
  10. 10.
    >You shrug to yourself, and begin to walk down the stairs, formulating what you have to do today.
  11. 11.
    >Mentally running through the day of events to do, you figure that the most important was work.
  12. 12.
    >Being that you lived on a farm, you always had to wake up early, which may be an explanation for your window's position.
  13. 13.
    >You remember when you used to work on Applejack's farm.
  14. 14.
    >It was fun and all, and Granny Smith's cooking was to die for, but one can only take so many apples.
  15. 15.
    >Breakfast? Apples.
  16. 16.
    >Work? Kicking apple trees.
  17. 17.
    >Lunch? More apples.
  18. 18.
    >Work in town? Selling apples.
  19. 19.
    >Dinner? Oh gee, I wonder what it could- more apples.
  20. 20.
    >Still though, it was enjoyable, and it allowed you to save up enough bits for this house that you currently inhabit.
  21. 21.
    >Just a small bit of land, with a nice rustic house.
  22. 22.
    >There was a good amount of room for a garden, and the vegetables you didn't eat could easily be sold in town.
  23. 23.
    >You miss meat, you really do.
  24. 24.
    >But the ponies didn't really like that sort of thing, so beans would have to work.
  25. 25.
    >You shrug, and realize that you've been standing and admiring your plot of land for a whole 10 minutes, just holding a cup of coffee.
  26. 26.
    >...
  27. 27.
    >You drain the cup of coffee, and wash it out briefly in the sink.
  28. 28.
    >You walk outside, and grab your tools for garden upkeep.
  29. 29.
    >Which, while not much, does the job perfectly.
  30. 30.
    >You walk over to your decently sized garden, and don your gloves.
  31. 31.
    >Right, first up.
  32. 32.
    >Weeding.
  33. 33.
    >You hate it because the invasive species are constantly moving in.
  34. 34.
    >You can't recall a day where you didn't have to weed.
  35. 35.
    >And with a sigh, you set about working on your garden.
  36. 36.
    [Later]
  37. 37.
    >You stand up, wiping your brow.
  38. 38.
    >Your garden is almost fully...gardened?
  39. 39.
    >You scratch your head, thinking about if that was an appropriate adjective, before looking at the sun.
  40. 40.
    >Being that the ponies are technologically impaired, you had to run off of what position the sun is in.
  41. 41.
    >You estimate that it's about eleven o'clock.
  42. 42.
    >Just in time for...
  43. 43.
    >You hear a slight gust of air go by you, knocking off your hat, and then the tell-tale clip-clop of hooves landing on the ground.
  44. 44.
    >"'Sup, Anon?"
  45. 45.
    >She never fails.
  46. 46.
    >She always arrives at the same time, you've come to notice.
  47. 47.
"Nothing much, just taking care of my garden."
  48. 48.
    >You say, as you pick up your hat, brushing the dirt off of it, then place it on your head.
  49. 49.
    >You take the hoe that was laying nearby, and start attacking a root from one of the Everfree's trees.
  50. 50.
    >They grow very fast, so you have to take them out quickly.
  51. 51.
    >"So..are you alright after..her?"
  52. 52.
    >You grunt, remembering the mare that you were recently dating.
  53. 53.
    >Her name was Carrot Top.
  54. 54.
    >Now, while you would've berated yourself on Earth for even THINKING about being in a relationship with a species that seemed like an animal to you, it quickly faded when you came to Equestria.
  55. 55.
    >Realizing that there was almost no chance of you getting back to Earth, and also that the ponies were far from dumb animals, you decided to try a relationship.
  56. 56.
    >And for a time, it went well.
  57. 57.
    >You were happy with her, and she with you.
  58. 58.
    >But, eventually, it came to an end.
  59. 59.
    >You remember that she came up to you one day, saying something about 'the spark was gone', or something akin to that.
  60. 60.
    >Sometimes, you wondered why it ended.
  61. 61.
    >You feel a hoof tapping on your head.
  62. 62.
    >"Uhh, Anon? You there?"
  63. 63.
    >You shake yourself out of it.
  64. 64.
    >No reason to get depressed.
  65. 65.
    >You turn to the mare that had been trying to get your attention.
  66. 66.
    >Her name is Rainbow Dash, your first, and best, friend in Equestria.
  67. 67.
    >In fact, because you were such good friends, you became bros.
  68. 68.
    >Rainbow Dash became your Rainbro.
  69. 69.
    >You still chuckle at the pun sometimes.
  70. 70.
    "Yeah, I'm alright Bluefast."
  71. 71.
    >You chuckle as you see her pout angrily at you.
  72. 72.
    >Being that she was Cyan colored, and had a penchant for high speeds, it was a eventuality that you would make that name up.
  73. 73.
    >"I told you not to call me that."
  74. 74.
    >You take a moment to throw the small bit of root away from your garden, and then turn to her.
  75. 75.
"Then stop doing that cute pout when I do."
  76. 76.
    >She sputters for a second, and you swear you see a blush, but it quickly fades.
  77. 77.
    >"Yeah, w-well..shut up... Peach-hands!"
  78. 78.
    >You quirk an eyebrow.
  79. 79.
    >You assume that it was her way of generalizing you by a couple of your qualities.
  80. 80.
    >Very weak, considering she used to have such good jabs at you.
  81. 81.
    >You shrug internally, and begin picking up your tools to put away in your shed.
  82. 82.
    >While you're walking, you hear her trotting alongside you.
  83. 83.
    >It's strange, she used to use her wings for everything she did, but when she was with you, she seemed to disregard them.
  84. 84.
    >Not that you minded, she used to outpace you so much when she flew next to you.
  85. 85.
    >"So, you wanna do something later today? I've got work off...and you really don't have work.."
  86. 86.
    >You pause, opening the door to your toolshed.
  87. 87.
    "Hmm..."
  88. 88.
    >You begin to put up your tools, and mull over the proposition.
  89. 89.
    >...Why not?
  90. 90.
    >You haven't been into town in a while, might be nice if you went.
  91. 91.
    "You know what? Why not."
  92. 92.
    >She brightens almost visibly.
  93. 93.
    >You motion for her to follow, and walk towards the back of your house.
  94. 94.
    >"So... I was thinking that we could maybe go and get something to eat, and I could show you this place I found that nopony knows about and then maybe we could even-"
  95. 95.
    >By this time, you've started to take off your shirt.
  96. 96.
    >Being that it was summer, the dead heat had come into play, much to your chagrin.
  97. 97.
    >After placing it next to your washboard, you turn to her, noting her sudden silence.
  98. 98.
    >You note that her wings were extended, as if she was about to take flight.
  99. 99.
"Er..Rainbow, do you have to go somewhere? I don't wanna keep you if you do..."
  100. 100.
    >She shakes her head, and cuts you off.
  101. 101.
    >"NO! I mean, uh...No, I don't have to go anywhere!"
  102. 102.
    >She then turns to her wings, and mutters almost inaudibly.
  103. 103.
    >"...stupid wings, go down already."
  104. 104.
    >You shrug, opening the backdoor of the house, and walking into it.
  105. 105.
"Well, I'm up for it, but where are we going?"
  106. 106.
    >She shakes her head, and looks up to you.
  107. 107.
    >"Well... I was thinking about going to this new restaurant that Pinkie told me about..."
  108. 108.
    >You shiver internally.
  109. 109.
    >That pink devil is why you moved out of town.
  110. 110.
    >It wasn't that she was mean, or anything.
  111. 111.
    >It was that she threw SO MANY PARTIES.
  112. 112.
    >A man can only take so much...
  113. 113.
    >"...and at the end of the night we could..."
  114. 114.
    >She trails off, a blush lighting her face.
  115. 115.
    >You realize that you didn't pay attention to her, and try to cover for it.
  116. 116.
"Alright then, bro. See ya then!"
  117. 117.
    >She pauses, then responds, before turning away slowly.
  118. 118.
    >"Yeah, heh. See you then....bro."
  119. 119.
    >You can't help but note that she appears miffed, but you just chalk it up to you seeing things.
  120. 120.
    >...Now you have to get ready.
  121. 121.
    >And here you were thinking that you could just laze the day away.
  122. 122.
    >Still, it isn't that bad.
  123. 123.
    >You look yourself over for a second.
  124. 124.
    >..Looks like you need to take a shower...
  125. 125.
    >After taking a shower, then putting some clean clothes on, you feel ready to take on the world!
  126. 126.
    >..Not really, but you are ready for a night on the town.
  127. 127.
    >You rummage through some of your drawers, and find a bag of 50 bits.
  128. 128.
    >Perfect.
  129. 129.
    >You start to walk around the house, and decide to check the time.
  130. 130.
    >Which entails you looking at the sun.
  131. 131.
    >You look through one of your windows, and note that it's almost sunset.
  132. 132.
    >Looks like Dash wants to stay out late tonight.
  133. 133.
    >You hear knocking at the door.
  134. 134.
    >Ah, looks like Dash is here.
  135. 135.
    >You walk over, and open the door.
  136. 136.
    >...
  137. 137.
    >Well, that's new.
  138. 138.
    >You see your bro, but unlike you've ever seen her before.
  139. 139.
    >Her mane is all done up, and she has a nice dress on, that accents her form.
  140. 140.
    >It accents it VERY well.
  141. 141.
    >She notices your gazing over her form, and smiles demurely.
  142. 142.
    >"Heh, nice to see you too, Anon."
  143. 143.
    >You shake yourself out of it, and collect yourself.
  144. 144.
    "You look nice too, Dash."
  145. 145.
    >She smiles gently at your compliment.
  146. 146.
    >"Th-Thanks."
  147. 147.
    >You walk out of your house, locking the door, and place the key in your pocket, and start walking towards town.
  148. 148.
    >The two of you walk in companionable silence for a while, before you decide to start talking.
  149. 149.
    "So, what's with the dress?"
  150. 150.
    >She shifts her wings for a moment, before turning her head to look at you.
  151. 151.
    >"I thought that I would dress nice for a change..."
  152. 152.
    >You shrug, seeing that she had a point.
  153. 153.
    >She mumbles something out, far too quiet for you to hear.
  154. 154.
    "..for you..."
  155. 155.
    >You look over to her.
  156. 156.
"Uh..what did you just say Dash? I couldn't quite catch that."
  157. 157.
    >She shakes her head.
  158. 158.
    >"I... I was talking to myself. Don't worry about it."
  159. 159.
    >You shrug, deciding not to press for info.
  160. 160.
    >You two eventually reach the town, and she guides you towards the restaurant.
  161. 161.
    >You stop in front of it, and your jaw was agape at it.
  162. 162.
"Wow Dash, I didn't think that you would want to go to THIS place."
  163. 163.
    >You turn to your bro, who is smiling sheepishly.
  164. 164.
    >"Y-Yeah, I've always wanted to go to this restaurant, but never had the time."
  165. 165.
    >You feel that she's hiding something, but once again, decide not to press for information.
  166. 166.
"Well, I've always want to go here too."
  167. 167.
    >She smiles once again.
  168. 168.
    >You don't know what it is, but you really like that cute smile of hers.
  169. 169.
    >...
  170. 170.
    >Where did that come from?
  171. 171.
    >"Well, let's go in, huh?"
  172. 172.
    >You nod, and follow her to the front of the restaurant.
  173. 173.
    >The two of you approach the waiterpony, and he looks the both of you over.
  174. 174.
    >He speaks up in a very dry and bored sounding voice.
  175. 175.
"Welcome to The Golden Harvest. Do you have a reservation...Miss Dash?"
  176. 176.
    >Your eyes widen a bit, and look towards Dash, who speaks up.
  177. 177.
    >"Yes, we have a reservation for the window seat over there."
  178. 178.
    >He nods, looks the list over, then motions for a waitress to lead you towards your seats.
  179. 179.
    >She leads you to the table, and you sit down, Dash sitting opposite from your seat, and hoofs you two your menus.
  180. 180.
    >"Just tell me when you two are ready to order."
  181. 181.
    >Rainbow nods, and starts to look over her menu.
  182. 182.
    >You pick up your own, and then start to peruse it.
  183. 183.
    >...
  184. 184.
    >Your eyebrows raise at the prices.
  185. 185.
    >30 bits for a Sweetgrass Sandwich?
  186. 186.
    >Jesus Christ, that's alot!
  187. 187.
    >You look over to Rainbow, who's expression mirrors your own.
  188. 188.
    >You turn to the waitresspony.
  189. 189.
    "I'll...I'll have the Vegetarian stew."
  190. 190.
    >Why they have to clarify that in the menu, you'll never know.
  191. 191.
    >Dash clears her throat, and speaks up.
  192. 192.
    >"I'll have....I'll have what he's having."
  193. 193.
    >The mare nods, and finishes writing down on the notepad.
  194. 194.
    >"Anything to drink?"
  195. 195.
    >You go to the menu to look through it, but Dash beats you to the punch.
  196. 196.
    >"We'll have the Canterlot Vintage, please."
  197. 197.
    >The mare writes it down, and then trots off.
  198. 198.
    >You look over the menu, and if you had been drinking something, it would've been all over the table.
  199. 199.
    >You look towards Dash, and hush your voice.
  200. 200.
"Dash, that wine costs 70 bits! Don't you think that's a bit excessive?"
  201. 201.
    >She shrugs, and smiles sheepishly.
  202. 202.
    >"Yeah...but I figured that tonight could be a little special..."
  203. 203.
    >You sigh.
  204. 204.
"You didn't have to spend that much..."
  205. 205.
    >She reaches over a hoof, and places it on your hand.
  206. 206.
    >"Listen, I wanted this to be nice. I don't mind spending some more bits than usual. I've got more than enough. Trust me."
  207. 207.
    >You squeeze her hoof, and a small blush appears on her face as you do so.
  208. 208.
    >You find yourself staring into her eyes.
  209. 209.
    >You never really looked her in the eyes, but you don't know why you never did so before.
  210. 210.
    >They're really beautiful...
  211. 211.
    >The blush on her face intensifies, and it looks like she's leaning in for something.
  212. 212.
    >You begin to match her movements...
  213. 213.
    >Suddenly, waitress.
  214. 214.
    >Both of you shoot back to your seats, and your face feels warm.
  215. 215.
    >Dash, however, is glowing so bright the sun would be jealous.
  216. 216.
    >The mare smiles, and places the dishes onto your table.
  217. 217.
    >"Here's the food for the happy couple!"
  218. 218.
    >She trots off, leaving you and Rainbow spluttering.
  219. 219.
    >You recover first, and look to Rainbow.
  220. 220.
"Heh, I can't believe she thought we were a couple, huh bro?"
  221. 221.
    >She shrinks a bit, but shrugs it off.
  222. 222.
    >"Y-Yeah...Let's eat.."
  223. 223.
    >You quirk an eyebrow, but decide not to ask her about it.
  224. 224.
    >The meal passes, with the two of you trying and failing to make conversation.
  225. 225.
    >Eventually, you two finish your respective meals, and wave for the bill.
  226. 226.
    >Dash reaches for it, but your hands are quicker.
  227. 227.
    >You stare at the bill for a second.
  228. 228.
    >The reservation for this seat alone...
  229. 229.
    >She snatches it out of your hand, and takes out the bits from her pouch.
  230. 230.
    >You walk out of the restaurant with her, and note that it's night, with the moon beginning it's arc through the sky.
  231. 231.
    >You smile then turn to Dash.
  232. 232.
"Thanks, Dash. I had fun tonight."
  233. 233.
    >She matches your smile with her own, but looks away with a slight blush.
  234. 234.
    >"N-no problem, Anon."
  235. 235.
    >The two of you stand there, a gentle breeze flowing, causing Dash's dress to flutter in the wind.
  236. 236.
    >You can't help but take in every detail of her.
  237. 237.
    >Her mane, her dress, her eyes, even her wings seem perfect to you.
  238. 238.
    >She catches your staring, and looks away, pawing at the ground nervously with a hoof.
  239. 239.
    >You clear your throat, averting your gaze.
  240. 240.
"Well, this was fun, but I need to go home, and get some sleep."
  241. 241.
    >"Yeah..I do too..."
  242. 242.
    >You start to turn around.
  243. 243.
"I really enjoyed this. Maybe sometime else we can go out...as friends, I mean."
  244. 244.
    >The small bit you tacked on caused her to cringe.
  245. 245.
    "Well...see you tomorrow, bro."
  246. 246.
    >She remains silent, as you finish turning around, walking towards your home.
  247. 247.
    >...
  248. 248.
    >"Wait."
  249. 249.
    >You stop, then turn around to meet her.
  250. 250.
    >She has used her wings to languidly glide over to you, and she drops to her hooves in front of you.
  251. 251.
    >"I...I mentioned before that there was this place I found...could..could I show it to you? Please?"
  252. 252.
    >She has this hopeful look on her face, one that you know if you say no to, it'll really hurt her.
  253. 253.
    "...Sure, Dash."
  254. 254.
    >You didn't really want to say goodbye to her anyway...
  255. 255.
    >She takes your hand with a wing, and leads you towards the park, dropping it as you arrive.
  256. 256.
    >You walk for some time in companionable silence, when all of a sudden, she veers off the path, and starts running through the trees.
  257. 257.
    "Dash? Where are you going!"
  258. 258.
    >You give chase, wondering why she's doing this.
  259. 259.
    >You are slightly confused, because if she really wanted to run away, why wouldn't she use her wings?
  260. 260.
    >But this thought is swept aside as you are too far involved in the chase to care.
  261. 261.
    >Eventually, you lose track of her, going only by sound.
  262. 262.
    >You think you see a clearing up ahead, and it proves to be true, as you burst out through the undergrowth.
  263. 263.
    >You take a second to catch your breath, and notice Dash is sitting there.
  264. 264.
    >Still panting, you prepare to berate Dash for doing that to you.
  265. 265.
"Dash, what the hell was that? Why did you just run off like-"
  266. 266.
    >She places a hoof on your mouth, silencing you.
  267. 267.
    >"Look..."
  268. 268.
    >She waves her wing at the surrounding area.
  269. 269.
    >You decide to drop what you were saying.
  270. 270.
    >Mostly because your jaw has dropped at what she has shared with you.
  271. 271.
    >You are currently standing before a lake, which surface is so clear and flat, it acts as if it were a large mirror.
  272. 272.
    >You can see the reflection of the moon, which you now note as full, and the muted dots of light that are the stars surrounding it.
  273. 273.
    >You drag your gaze towards Rainbow, and if your jaw had dropped earlier, by now it has fallen straight off.
  274. 274.
    >The soft, white light of the moon traces her outline, accentuating her already brilliant features.
  275. 275.
    >You forget to breathe, you are so caught up in basking in her beauty.
  276. 276.
    >And they say Rarity is stunning...
  277. 277.
    >She clears her throat, and you catch your breath, resulting in more panting.
  278. 278.
    >She looks around at the area, before turning to you.
  279. 279.
    >"Do....you like it?"
  280. 280.
    >You smile gently.
  281. 281.
"Dash, this is the single most beautiful sight I've ever seen."
  282. 282.
    >She smiles bashfully, and puffs out her chest in pride.
  283. 283.
    >You aren't sure if you're talking about the lake or her.
  284. 284.
    >But something is off about this.
  285. 285.
    "Dash...why are you doing this?"
  286. 286.
    >She cocks her head quizzically.
  287. 287.
    >"What do you mean, Anon?"
  288. 288.
    >You sigh, before starting to talk.
  289. 289.
"It just seems like you're hiding something from me. The restaurant having a reservation, it costing an astronomical amount, you blushing at every compliment I paid you..."
  290. 290.
    >She looks around, unable to meet your gaze.
  291. 291.
"...it just seems like something's up. What's wrong Dash?"
  292. 292.
    >She sighs.
  293. 293.
    >"...Am I that easy to read?
  294. 294.
    >You nod, confirming the fact.
  295. 295.
    >She sighs again, before looking straight at you.
  296. 296.
    >"I...I like you Anon, and not in the...not in the way we are now..."
  297. 297.
    >You quirk an eyebrow, and open your mouth to speak, but she silences you with a hoof again.
  298. 298.
    >"Please..Just listen to what I have to say first.."
  299. 299.
    >She removes her hoof, and you stay silent.
  300. 300.
    >She takes a deep breath to compose herself, then resumes talking.
  301. 301.
    >"I used to like what we had. We were Anon and Dash, the two inseperable bros, you know? We pranked a lot of ponies, and no matter what, no matter how in-depth you got with one, you just got more imaginative. Whenever I asked you to watch me do some stunts and critique them, you never told me what I wanted to hear. Which was good, because I flew better, and better, and.."
  302. 302.
    >She runs out of breath mid-sentence, and composes herself.
  303. 303.
    >"You know how I constantly asked you to come and watch me do tricks?"
  304. 304.
    >You think for a moment...
  305. 305.
    >And can't remember a time where she wasn't asking you to come and watch her.
  306. 306.
    >So you nod.
  307. 307.
    >She takes a shakey breath, and continues on.
  308. 308.
    >"Eventually, there came a point where I wondered why I was asking you to come and watch. I had pretty much ironed out every singular detail for my tricks, so I didn't need you to watch anymore. Then...I realized..I wanted you to watch me, and not for the tricks, either. I wanted you to be around, because..I liked having you around. I really did."
  309. 309.
    >She paces around, trying to force the words to come out.
  310. 310.
"I thought long and hard on how I felt about you...and although I never really wanted to get into a relationship...I thought about one with you..And I couldn't stop thinking about it. All I could think about was how incredibly awesome you were, and..I was about to ask you out..but then.."
  311. 311.
    >She kicks a rock nearby, not mentioning the mare's name.
  312. 312.
    >Carrot Top.
  313. 313.
    >The mare that you had been in a relationship for about 4 months.
  314. 314.
    >It started off nice, but eventually the spark faded.
  315. 315.
    >You parted on good terms, but it still stung from time to time.
  316. 316.
    >It had been 2 weeks since then.
  317. 317.
    >She gulps in a breath of air, and composes herself yet again.
  318. 318.
    >"When you started dating her...I won't lie, I was jealous. I was angry at her...and at myself. I wished that she wouldn't have asked you out, and that I would've had the guts to actually act on my feelings."
  319. 319.
    >You're shocked at her outburst, but are allowing her to finish.
  320. 320.
    >"I wanted her to just...go away, and let me be with you. And when she left you, and you were hurt that bad by her, I...I felt bad for you, but I also felt...happy."
  321. 321.
    >You look at her in surprise, but remain silent.
  322. 322.
    >"I..I felt happy because I could finally be with you! But..I couldn't get the courage up...All I had to do was ask you if you wanted to be...you know, a couple...but I just couldn't get the words out! I just locked up, and couldn't speak..."
  323. 323.
    >She gazes into the distance.
  324. 324.
    >"But I said to myself that today would be different! That today I would tell Anon how I felt..."
  325. 325.
    >She sighs, and deflates visibly.
  326. 326.
    >"When I asked you if you wanted to do something today, I was trying to ask you if I could be your marefriend. I was screaming at myself to just say those few words...But I was scared. I didn't want you to say no..."
  327. 327.
    >She looks away.
  328. 328.
    >"So I tried to hide it, as if we were two friends just enjoying a meal together. But no matter what I did, I couldn't suppress the feelings I had. So I tried to do something, anything that would let you know how I felt...And I got so close...but then that dumb waitress showed up and ruined it..."
  329. 329.
    >She gazes down at her hooves.
  330. 330.
    >"I told myself today that I would tell you how I felt...And I almost didn't do that. I just barely caught myself as you were leaving. I couldn't just let you leave without knowing..."
  331. 331.
    >You see a small drop of quicksilver fall from her face, but she wipes it away, and then looks at you again.
  332. 332.
    >Her eyes are misty, you note.
  333. 333.
    >She takes another shaky breath, and tries to force herself to speak.
  334. 334.
    >"I know you only see me as a friend...but I just can't help but hope about us being more than bros..."
  335. 335.
    >She sniffs, and looks away, wiping her eyes once more.
  336. 336.
    >"So...if you don't want to be friends because of how awkward it is...I'd understand. I wouldn't wanna hurt you...bro."
  337. 337.
    >Your mind is in a torrent of feelings.
  338. 338.
    >You don't want to lose a friend...
  339. 339.
    >But you don't think you're ready for another relationship...
  340. 340.
    >Are you?
  341. 341.
    >You search your feelings, and shock yourself with what you find.
  342. 342.
    >You realize that one of the reasons you broke up with Carrot Top is because she was missing something.
  343. 343.
    >She was a beautiful mare, no doubt about it.
  344. 344.
    >But there was something that you just needed to feel.
  345. 345.
    >She was your marefriend...but she wasn't your friend.
  346. 346.
    >Dash is your friend.
  347. 347.
    >She had many conflicting interests, and she didn't even share your sense of humor.
  348. 348.
    >Dash likes what you like, and has practically a carbon copy of your humor.
  349. 349.
    >She often gave up chances to be with you to further her own goals.
  350. 350.
    >Dash would never abandon you for her own purposes.
  351. 351.
    >You needed something from Carrot...
  352. 352.
    >You needed her to be loyal.
  353. 353.
    >You step back from your journey through your feelings, and notice that Dash's state has deteriorated even more.
  354. 354.
    >She is sitting there, shoulders slumped, sobbing heavily.
  355. 355.
    >It breaks your heart to know that you're breaking hers.
  356. 356.
    >You know what you have to do.
  357. 357.
    >You approach Dash, and her ears twitch and point in your direction.
  358. 358.
    >"A-Anon, I thought you had-"
  359. 359.
    >No words.
  360. 360.
    >Only actions.
  361. 361.
    >You tilt up her chin, and pull her into a deep kiss.
  362. 362.
    >She pulls back briefly in shock, eyes opening wide.
  363. 363.
    >You disregard that, and deepen it further.
  364. 364.
    >Eventually, her eyes flutter closed, and she moves in to respond to the kiss, giving off little cute and happy sighs.
  365. 365.
    >Eventually, you have to breathe, so you pull away from the kiss, slowly opening her eyes.
  366. 366.
    >"A-Anon, I-"
  367. 367.
    >You silence her with a finger on her lips.
  368. 368.
"What you just said there...I can't just let you be lonely like that. I just searched through my mind and my feelings...and I realized why I allowed Carrot to just leave."
  369. 369.
    >You take a deep breath, noticing her eyes, full of hope.
  370. 370.
"I let her go...because she was missing...something. She..."
  371. 371.
    >You gulp in some air, suddenly out of breath.
  372. 372.
    "..She wasn't you."
  373. 373.
    >She freezes, just staring at you.
  374. 374.
    >You can't tell what she's feeling right now.
  375. 375.
    >You hope you weren't too corny...
  376. 376.
    >You tap her on her forehead.
  377. 377.
    "Uhh...Dash?"
  378. 378.
    >She remains frozen in place, just staring at you in shock.
  379. 379.
    >And then she reacts.
  380. 380.
    >You find yourself planted on your back, with a brand new facehugger attachted to you.
  381. 381.
    >She makes all sorts of happy sounds while continuing to kiss you.
  382. 382.
    >She breaks the kiss eventually, and looks expectantly at you, before speaking up.
  383. 383.
    >"So....are we marefriend and coltfriend now?"
  384. 384.
    >You chuckle.
  385. 385.
    "Yeah, I would assume so."
  386. 386.
    >She steps off of you, letting you stand up.
  387. 387.
    >You stand up, and brush yourself off.
  388. 388.
    >She flies behind you, and rests herself on your back.
  389. 389.
    >You raise an eyebrow at this, but don't mind it.
  390. 390.
    >In fact, you're grateful for the warmth she gives you.
  391. 391.
    >You begin to walk back to your little house on its little plot of land.
  392. 392.
    >...
  393. 393.
    >"Anon, your house is that way."
  394. 394.
    >...
  395. 395.
    "...Fuck."
  396. 396.
    >She giggles, and you redirect yourself towards your homestead.
  397. 397.
    >Upon reaching it, you detach her from your back, and open the door.
  398. 398.
    >You step in, and turn around.
  399. 399.
"Well Dash, tonight was...better than either of us could have expected. When do you wanna do this again?"
  400. 400.
    >She smiles gently, and shrugs her wings.
  401. 401.
    >"Whenever you feel like it."
  402. 402.
    >You chuckle, and scratch the back of your neck.
  403. 403.
"Yeah, but next time, you don't have to spend a small fortune on me."
  404. 404.
    >She smiles sheepishly, and rubs the back of her neck.
  405. 405.
    >"I kind of overdid it, didn't I?"
  406. 406.
    >You laugh, and then respond.
  407. 407.
    "Yeah, I think you did."
  408. 408.
    >She continues to smile, kicking a hoof on your doorstep.
  409. 409.
"Well, goodnight Dash, see you tomorrow."
  410. 410.
    >You start to close the door...
  411. 411.
    >...and she sticks a hoof in it, not letting it stop.
  412. 412.
    >She looks up at you, before looking away.
  413. 413.
    >"I...I was hoping that I could stay the night at your house tonight."
  414. 414.
    >You tap your chin, acting as if you were deep in thought.
  415. 415.
    >Really, you were wondering why she hadn't said it earlier.
  416. 416.
    "Sure, Dash. C'mon in."
  417. 417.
    >You open the door, and she trots in, with a large smile on her face.
  418. 418.
    >You lead her to your room, and let her in the room.
  419. 419.
    >She immidiately begins to take off the dress, and you decide that it would be wise for you to undress, also.
  420. 420.
    >You start taking off your shirt and pants, and throwing them in the dirty pile.
  421. 421.
    >You hear a *pomf* sound, and turn to see Dash staring at you with extended wings.
  422. 422.
    >Wait...
  423. 423.
    >Before, she wasn't ready to get going...
  424. 424.
    >She was turned on.
  425. 425.
    >You mull it over in your mind, and decide to just drop it, walking over to your bed.
  426. 426.
    >She fidgets awkwardly, before nervously speaking up.
  427. 427.
    >"W-What are we gonna do on the bed, Anon?"
  428. 428.
    >You quirk an eyebrow, and calmly respond.
  429. 429.
    "Sleep on it, of course."
  430. 430.
    >She stares at you for a second, then realizes what you just said.
  431. 431.
    >She then hops up on the bed under the covers, and wriggles up close to you.
  432. 432.
    >She sighs happily, and rests her head on your shoulder.
  433. 433.
    >She mumbles out before she falls asleep.
  434. 434.
    >"...thanks, Anon."
  435. 435.
    >You smile, and squeeze her slightly, drifting off in each others embrace.
