  4. >Day Roommates in Equestria
  5. >Wake up
  6. >Walk over to the bathroom
  7. >First thing you notice - The toothbrush
  8. >It's covered in slime, again
  9. >Growl
  10. >Clean it as best you can
  11. >Grimace
  12. >Begin brushing your teeth
  13. >Still tastes like whatever the fuck it tastes like
  14. >Such a strange taste, even through the toothpaste
  15. >Finish brushing and hop in the shower
  16. >The water is set to sub-arctic temperatures
  17. >Again
  18. >You scream like a girl and leap out of the shower, tripping up on your wet feet and slamming your head against the tiled floor
  19. AARGH FUCK!
  20. >You lie on the floor for a second, wet, naked, and nursing your no doubt fractured skull
  21. >Eventually you get back up and adjust the temperatures to what you prefer
  22. >Molten water
  23. >Let out a long drawn out breath as the water turns your skin bright red from the heat
  24. >Lovely
  25. >All clean and hygienic, you get out and dry yourself off, ending the routine with a relaxing shit.
  26. >Vulgar, yes. Necessary, definitely. Should have done it before shower? Absolutely.
  27. >Make a mental note to swap the routine around
  28. >For a while you sit upon your porcelain throne, pondering life and the universe
  29. >You almost forget that your life is a myriad of problems and awkward situations
  30. >And then you hear the all too familiar knock on the door, followed by the all too familiar scream that makes up this all too familiar morning routine
  31. >Sigh
  32. >Flush the toilet and pull on some clothes before stomping downstairs
  33. >Walk through the kitchen on the way to the front door
  34. >Look up
  35. >A pony is stuck to the ceiling, trembling
  36. Mornin'.
  37. >She squeals in response
  38. >Fucking Sandy.
  39. >You are Anonymous.
  40. >And your roommate is fucking weird.
  41.
  42. 1/?
  43.
  44. >Stroll over to the front door and open it
  45. >Look down
  46. >Fluttershy is stood on your doorstep, as usual
  47. >Call back into the house
  48. It's ok, Sandy. It's just Fluttershy... Again...
  49. >Sandy calls back from your kitchen ceiling
  50. >"Exactly!"
  51. >You hear a crash, indicating that she let go and broke the kitchen table for the 5th time this month.
  52. >Turn back and look at Fluttershy
  53. What.
  54. >"Oh I was j-just wondering if you wanted to try my own h-homemade lemonade!"
  55. >She pulls out glass of ungodly liquid
  56. >It's black, bubbling, letting off putrid yellow smog, and seems to be burning through the glass in several places
  57. >Fluttershy smiles
  58. >"D-drink up, Anon!"
  59. Wait right here
  60. >You head back into the house
  61. >Return with a broom
  62. >Smack the glass out of Fluttershy's hoof with it
  63. >The glass hits the floor and shatters
  64. >The black liquid seems to become more viscous, turning into a small black blob, complete with sticky looking arms that it uses to drag itself along the floor
  65. >It creates itself a mouth and shrieks at you and Fluttershy before rolling away down the hill
  66. >"Oh... G-glitterpuffs!"
  67. Language, Fluttershy.
  68. >She squeaks
  69. >"I'll get you next time, Anon!"
  70. >She flies away
  71. >Shout after her
  72. IT'S BEEN 5 FUCKING WEEKS, FLUTTERSHY!
  73. >Walk back inside to inspect the damage
  74. >Sandy is trying to apply CPR to a broken table leg
  75. >"SIR! CAN YOU HEAR ME WITH YOUR EARS?"
  76. Sandy.
  77. >She looks up
  78. >"Good Evening!"
  79.
  80. 2/?
  81.
  82. >Sigh
  83. Just... Let’s just eat breakfast, okay?
  84. >"That sounds incredible! Fantastic!"
  85. >She sits down on a chair and smiles at you
  86. >You roll your eyes and go over to the cupboard to get some cereal out
  87. >You still have no idea how your life came to this
  88. >It was bad enough ending up here in Equestria
  89. >But Sandy... Well.
  90. >Sandy was different from other ponies.
  91.
  92. >Day Sandy in Equestria
  93. >Be Anon
  94. >Homeowner
  95. Ms Mayor, I cannot thank you enough for this house, seriously. How can I repay you?
  96. >The Mayor smiles up at you
  97. >"Consider it a gift, Anon. You're the only one of your kind here, and I feel that it's my civil duty to look after you!"
  98. You're too kind, really.
  99. >"Also you have to pay me 15 bits a month on mortgage"
  100. Fuckin' A.
  101. >She grins at you and trots off
  102. >"Have a pleasant day, Mr Anonymous!"
  103. >You watch her go
  104. >Turn back to look at the front of your house
  105. >Sigh happily
  106. >It's a modest abode
  107. >2 stories
  108. >2 bedrooms
  109. >A fully functioning bathroom
  110. >Plenty of space
  111. >Strong walls
  112. >Fully soundproofed
  113. >And it's all yours.
  114. >You try to contain your excitement as you fumble with the keys to unlock the front door
  115. >Push it open
  116. >Ahh... It's got that new house smell
  117.
  118. 3/?
  119.
  120. >Look around your new home in silent wonder, stroking the walls and furniture
  121. >Hard to believe it's all yours
  122. >Up until now you had been living with Fluttershy
  123. >And her padlocked box of "Fun Surprises"
  124. >That was a load of bullshit.
  125. >Anal beads aren't a fun surprise at all
  126. >You sit down in your lounge, enjoying the comfy sofa you were provided with
  127. >This is the life...
  128. >A loud knocking interrupts the tranquil silence
  129. >Smile
  130. >Your first ever visitor!
  131. >Practically dance over to the door
  132. >Open it
  133. >A tan coloured pony with a maroon mane is looking at you like someone who just watched a church implode
  134. Uhh, hello, miss. Are you okay?
  135. >"INGREDIENTS."
  136. What?
  137. >"I meant hello?"
  138. >What the fuck.
  139. >"Yes!... Hello? Hello! Hello is what I meant."
  140. Are you... Did you break out of an asylum or something?
  141. >"Asylum?... Asylum."
  142. >She blinks
  143. >"YES! ASYLUM! I seek asylum with you."
  144. Wait, what?
  145. >She nods and trots past you into the house
  146. >You stammer and try to piece together what's going on
  147. Hey, you can't just come in here, this is my house! I have to invite you in!
  148.
  149. 4/?
  150.
  151. >The pony is running laps around the sofa
  152. >She's counting them as she goes
  153. >"5... 6... 7... 8... 9.... 10!"
  154. >She stops and beams at you
  155. >Gawp at her
  156. >"Now we are roommates! Yes."
  157. >You mouth the words "What the fuck"
  158. >She licks her lips and looks around nervously
  159. >"Are we... Friends now? Is that how these things work?"
  160. I don't...
  161. >No. Fuck this, time to be assertive.
  162. >Clear your throat
  163. Get out of my house, NOW.
  164. >The pony stares at you
  165. >"Of course!"
  166. >She laughs very deliberately and canters out the front door, even shutting it behind her
  167. >God damn that was weird
  168. >Walk to the front door and lock it, just to be safe
  169. >Go to the kitchen to make some food, if you even have any
  170. >Thoughts of the pony are circling your mind
  171. >What the hell was she even doing?
  172. >Open the fridge
  173. >"HELLO! THIS IS A NORMAL THING?"
  174. >Scream at the top of your lungs
  175. >The pony falls out of the fridge and shudders
  176. >"It was cold in that box. Hardly a fitting bed!"
  177. HOW THE FUCK DID YOU EVEN GET IN?
  178. >She turns around and points to the back door
  179. >It's wide open
  180. Oh.
  181. >Pick her up
  182. >"My name is Shifting Sands!"
  183. I don't give a shit.
  184. >Throw her out the back door and lock it
  185.
  186. 5/?
  187.
  188. >Lean against it and listen for a second
  189. >You can hear her talking to herself
  190. >"No no no! Not part of the plan. Need a safe place! This house sure is nice... That's normal? That's normal!"
  191. >You shake your head
  192. >She must be mentally damaged or something
  193. >That's... Kinda sad, really.
  194. >Look back at the fridge
  195. >Empty
  196. >Damn.
  197. >You walk back into the lounge and pick up your bag
  198. >Enough bits for some food
  199. >Tomorrow you can search for work
  200. >You unlock the front door and peer outside
  201. >No sign of the pony
  202. >Quickly shut the door behind you and lock it
  203. >Your house is on the edge of Ponyville, along with a string of other houses
  204. >It's a 5 minute walk to the market, which is pretty good.
  205. >You walk through the busy market square, your eyes darting from stall to stall
  206. >You notice Big Mac running his stand
  207. >Walk on over
  208. Morning, Mac!
  209. >He nods at you
  210. Could I please have as many apples as this will buy?
  211. >Place 10 bits on the counter
  212. >He looks at it
  213. >And gives you 9 apples
  214. >You don't argue with the maths
  215. >It just works
  216. Thanks, Mac.
  217. >He nods at you
  218. >Not much a talker, that one.
  219. >You walk from stand to stand, buying various items. All of them vegetables.
  220. >What you wouldn't give for some meat
  221. >You'll talk with Twilight later about it
  222. >A short while later, you head back home carrying two bags full of veg
  223. >When your house comes into view, you begin to get nervous
  224. >The pony wouldn't have stuck around, would she?
  225.
  226. 6/?
  227.
  228. >You struggle to unlock the door with your hands full
  229. >Manage to open it and stumble into the house
  230. >And to your complete horror
  231. >It's... Empty
  232. >Predictable, really.
  233. >You walk into the kitchen and set the food down on the counter
  234. >Turn back around
  235. >"I MADE YOU THIS BECAUSE I LOVE YOU ARE WE FRIENDS NOW?"
  236. >Once more, you scream
  237. >The Pony is hovering in front of your face, her wings like a hummingbird's and a pleased look on her face
  238. >She's carrying a crude drawing of you and her in front of the house
  239. >It's drawn in what appears to be grass stains
  240. >You'll give credit where it's due, this can't have been easy to do
  241. >You take the more gentle approach
  242. >She might be unstable
  243. Okay then! This is very nice!
  244. >Carefully take the drawing from her
  245. How about we get you to the hospital? The nice ponies there can look after you!
  246. >She cocks her head
  247. >"Hospital? Why would I need that? Don't be crazy, Anonymous."
  248. >She turns around and trots into the lounge, sitting down on the sofa
  249. ...What?
  250. >Follow her and sit in the chair across from her
  251. >She smiles at you when you sit down
  252. >"Greetings there!"
  253. >Stare at her
  254. >Time to try and communicate with this thing
  255.
  256. 7/?
  257.
  258. So uhh. What's your name again?
  259. >"My birth title is Shifting Sands! I even have a cutie mark, see?"
  260. >She shows you her ass
  261. >A cutie mark of a panda's face rests upon it
  262. >How does that even...
  263. >And hold on, when did she get wings?
  264. >Wasn't she an Earth Pony this morning?
  265. Okay then. Shifting Sands... Why are you trying to stay in my house?
  266. >"Well I do not have one. No sir, I don't. It's quite sad. Yes."
  267. Uh huh. Well I agree with you there. But why mine? Can't you get your own house?
  268. >"I could NOT get my own house. Nu uh. That isn't a logical choice to make at this time."
  269. >This pony.
  270. You have a very... Bizarre way of speaking.
  271. >"What are you making noises with your mouth about? I'm just speaking normally. I find this conversation offensive!"
  272. >She throws a pillow at you
  273. >Catch it in mid-air with one hand
  274. >"Excellent catch, Anonymous!"
  275. How do you know my name?
  276. >"I heard you talking to the elected official of the village!"
  277. You mean... The Mayor?
  278. >"No."
  279. No?
  280. >"I meant yes"
  281. Alright then.
  282. >She smiles at you
  283. >You honestly don't know how to feel
  284. >Time to get serious
  285. Shifting Sands-
  286. >"Call me Sandy. I like the shortening of my name to Sandy."
  287. Sandy, then. Why don't you have a home?
  288. >"I just got into town. Just moved here from another town. Don't have a home in this town at the moment."
  289. I see. Don't you have family to support you?
  290. >"I have a family! Yes!
  291. >She seems incredibly happy at this
  292. >"I love them very much."
  293.
  294. 8/?
  295.
  296. Are they not able to send you... Money?
  297. >"Ehh. Money. Who needs it?"
  298. You do. Because money is what you need to survive in this day and age, it seems.
  299. >She seems shocked
  300. >"I don't need money!... Do I? Where can I get some?"
  301. Ha, well. You'll have to work to earn some. But I don't think anyone will be willing to give you a job with you acting like uhh...
  302. >Motion to her entire body
  303. This.
  304. >"What if I help you work? I can work! I never get tired!"
  305. I seriously doubt that. And no, you can't help me work. I don't even have a job yet.
  306. >"This must change! We must get you a place of work!"
  307. I plan to do so tomorrow. But we need to sort out you first.
  308. >"My name is Sandy!"
  309. >Sigh and rest your elbows on your knees, cupping your face in your hands
  310. >Sandy laughs
  311. >"I was just fooling, Anon! A joke! Back home, jokes are appreciated."
  312. Yeah... I'm sure they are.
  313. >"So are we roommates now?"
  314. I don't know. Are we? I don't remember even mentioning it.
  315. >"Of course we are! I drew you a picture and can help you! I'm the best at being a roommate! Accept me now!"
  316. >She jumps onto your lap and pushes your back against the chair with her hooves
  317. >She's... Strong
  318. >She narrows her eyes and pushes her face into yours
  319. >"ACCEPT ME."
  320. O-okay?
  321. >She jumps off
  322. >"Excellent! I shall live here now! We will be the best friends! Allies! Comrades! Chums!"
  323. >Still stunned by her show of force, you squeak out a word that seems highly relevant all of a sudden
  324. Prisoners?
  325. >She turns to you
  326. >"Yes!"
  327.
  328. 9/?
  329.
  330. >Back to the present, and in the kitchen
  331. >Sandy is still sat on her chair
  332. >"Anonymous! Are you feeling fine?"
  333. >You've been staring at the wall for a while now, thinking about past events
  334. >"Anonymous!"
  335. Huh, what?
  336. >"You've been staring at that wall for a while now, thinking about past events, most likely"
  337. Oh, right, sorry.
  338. >Pour the milk on the breakfast
  339. >Give the bowl to Sandy
  340. >She's not that bad, really. She's actually completely harmless
  341. >For you
  342. >She has a hidden nasty streak
  343. >And is fiercely protective of you
  344. >You're not sure why
  345. >You once confronted her about it
  346. >She said that if anything happened to you, she would be alone in the house, and being alone scares her
  347. >You couldn't help but feel a twang of guilt at that
  348. >Not too many people are scared of being alone
  349. >But you tend to keep her close most of the time, so she's happy.
  350. >She also does... Peculiar things. Usually involving other ponies that are near you.
  351. >"Anon!"
  352. What.
  353. >"What are we doing today?"
  354. You know what we're doing, Sandy. I'M going to work, and you're going to follow me as usual. And then when work is finished I'll see you sat next to some poor pony's unconscious body.
  355. >"They must be eradicated! It is law!"
  356. Yeah, sure.
  357. >"Shall we head off?"
  358. No. I need breakfast first-
  359.
  360. 10/?
  361.
  362. >Sandy flies up to the cupboard, tears the door off its hinges and grabs the cereal
  363. >She then pins you down and force-feeds you oats for about 2 minutes
  364. >It's horrible
  365. >You cried the entire time
  366. >She laughed and said that it was for the greater good
  367. >After that experience, you and Sandy are walking towards work.
  368. >Or rather, you are walking to work, Sandy is following you.
  369. >"Anon!"
  370. What.
  371. >"Why are you so unhappy?"
  372. I just want a normal day today, Sandy. No bullshit.
  373. >"I shall try. But I must protect you from invasion parties."
  374. >She latches onto your head like a fuzzy hat, her forelegs clamped onto the sides of your face
  375. >"You never know when they'll attack."
  376. >You'll admit one thing
  377. >Over the weeks, her speaking has become better. She doesn't make as many strange mistakes or hiccups.
  378. >She's still a fucking weirdo, though.
  379. >"OVER THERE!"
  380. >She uses her forelegs to turn your head to the side
  381. >A nearby bush has sprouted yellow wings
  382. >She hisses in your ear
  383. >"Eeeeeeneeeemieeeeeeees!"
  384. Yes, Sandy. I see them. Stop being weird. And get the hell off my head, my neck is getting sore.
  385. >"Oh. My humblest sorries"
  386. >She slides off your head and takes to hovering alongside you
  387. >"I will protect you, Anon. You can trust me"
  388. I wouldn't trust you with cardboard box. Now PLEASE.
  389. >You turn to her
  390. Let me work. Just... Go and do something else for today. I need my space.
  391. >She lands on the floor and looks up at you sadly
  392. >"What am I supposed to accomplish on my own?"
  393. I don't know. You'll find something to do. You always do.
  394.
  395. 11/?
  396.
  397. >Anonymous enters the flower shop and shuts the door
  398. >You are Sandy
  399. >You are... Alone.
  400. >Look around at the town
  401. >Ponies are going about their business, taking no notice of you
  402. >You squirm slightly
  403. >Anon's words echo through your mind
  404. >You'd hate to let him down
  405. >You just need to stay strong for a few hours. That's all.
  406. >You pick up a faint rustling in a bush nearby
  407. >Cringing slightly at the noise, you look at it
  408. >The bush grows legs and waddles over to the window of the flower shop, oblivious to you
  409. >The little yellow stumps and slightly throbbing wings give you an idea who it is
  410. >Narrow your eyes
  411. >March over
  412. >The bush is now peering inside the window, wings frequently shuddering
  413. >Stand directly behind the bush
  414. RAINBOW DASH.
  415. >The bush screams and head-butts the glass
  416. >Oh no! If Anon knows you've been screwing around he'll hate you forever!
  417. >...Sometimes even you don't understand your own mind
  418. >Whatever the case, you tackle Rarity and pin her against the wall underneath the window
  419. >It slides open and Anon's head pokes out
  420. >"Hello? Anyone out there?"
  421. >You stay motionless
  422. >Twilight Sparkle has other plans, and is squirming
  423. >You hold him close in a vice and clasp a hoof over his mouth
  424. >Anon sighs and grumbles to himself
  425. >"Damn kids..."
  426. >The window shuts
  427. >Let go of Applejack
  428. >She falls to the floor, gasping for breath
  429. >She shakes herself like a dog, the leaves and twigs falling around her
  430. >Fluttershy g-
  431. >OOOOH, that makes MUCH more sense.
  432. >Fluttershy glares at you
  433.
  434. 12/?
  435.
  436. >"What the sugar coated tea leaves are you doing?"
  437. Language, Fluttershy.
  438. >Anon would be so proud of you if he heard you say that
  439. >You smile at the thought
  440. >She fumes
  441. >"Y-you don't tell me to watch my language, missy! I'm here for Anon!"
  442. Yeah? Well I guess I'm protecting him from you. If I don't, you'll kill him and take over our house!
  443. >Fluttershy seems shocked
  444. >"I-I-I don't want to k-kill Anon!"
  445. Oh. Then why are you spying on him
  446. >"He's... Umm..."
  447. >She starts pawing the ground
  448. >Her rear legs shudder
  449. >You don't understand
  450. Well, what? What is it?
  451. >"I w-want his..."
  452. >She mumbles under her breath
  453. >Luckily, you've got a great sense of hearing
  454. Monkey dick. Got it.
  455. >What the hell is monkey dick.
  456. What the hell is monkey dick?
  457. >Fluttershy lights up
  458. >"Y-you don't know? Ohh my goodness! Well, Anon had this amazing thing under his clothes! It makes such delicious cream..."
  459. Huh. Cream? From Anon? Sounds nasty.
  460. >"Oh no! It's very umm salty."
  461. >She giggles to herself
  462. >Salt
  463. >Yuck
  464. >You hate salt
  465. >Hell, you hate most food. You only eat it to seem normal
  466. And why exactly do you want this cream?
  467. >"If he makes some for me, it shows that he loves me!"
  468. Interesting...
  469.
  470. 13/?
  471.
  472. >Fluttershy begins a rant on how she's been trying to get Anon to love her, and she can only do that if she gets him to make cream for her. Because apparently that's how love works
  473. >You don't fully understand
  474. >All you know is that she quivers every time she says 'Anon'
  475. >Weird pony.
  476. >"...And then, we'll get married and have foals!"
  477. >Well that's just not right at all
  478. >That's an insult to the laws of science
  479. You and Anon can't have foals, you aren't even the same species.
  480. >"W-well love will find a way!"
  481. Love doesn't work like that.
  482. >Fluttershy is getting Flustered...shy.
  483. >"Oh, and I s-suppose you know everything about love, huh?"
  484. I know enough. But biology isn't love. Stop being crazy.
  485. >"Ooooh- HUGGYBEARS!"
  486. Language.
  487. >"I d-don't need to talk to you! All I need is my Anon!"
  488. >She makes a dash for a nearby cellar entrance, leading underneath the shop
  489. >Oh gods no
  490. >She throws open the entrance and disappears underground
  491. >You follow suit, closing the doors behind you.
  492. >Because that's the polite thing to do. Anon always said he liked how polite you were
  493. >You swell at the thought of him thanking and praising you
  494. >You liked being praised
  495. >You also hear Fluttershy stumbling around in the dark
  496. >Fortunately for you, your eyes adjust quickly, and you navigate around the various boxes and other instruments easily
  497. >You find Fluttershy with her leg caught in a box of Lilly Seeds
  498. >Smirk
  499. Oh dear. Looks like you're in quite a bind!
  500. >She looks around frantically
  501. >"W-where are you? Could you help me please?"
  502. >Cock your head
  503. >She can't see you?
  504.
  505. 14/?
  506.
  507. >Fluttershy nervously scans the room
  508. >She looks past you twice
  509. >It's not that dark, is it?
  510. >You hear a door open somewhere
  511. >"Oh god, it's pitch black in here!"
  512. >ANON
  513. >IF HE FINDS YOU HE'LL EXILE YOU
  514. >You one again tackle Fluttershy
  515. >She lets out half a scream before you ram half of your foreleg in her mouth
  516. >"Who's there? I just heard you. Come out."
  517. >You clutch Fluttershy, who is writhing and trying to break free
  518. >Can't let her
  519. >Anon won't be safe with her near him
  520. >"Come on, don't waste my time. I JUST heard you!"
  521. >Another voice joins him
  522. >"Anon? What's wrong?"
  523. >"Hey, Rose. I think there's someone in the cellar"
  524. >She chuckles
  525. >"It might be rats. Celestia knows we have a lot down here"
  526. >Anon grunts
  527. >"I'll be back, rats. And I'll squash all of you!"
  528. >Rose giggles
  529. >"Come on, Mr Rat-squasher. I'm not paying you to shout at nothing"
  530. >The door shuts
  531. >You let go of Fluttershy
  532. >She panics and starts running around in circles, trying to find you
  533. >"W-WHERE... WHERE ARE YOU?!"
  534. >You stare at her, amused
  535. >She stops dead still, panting, her ears twitching madly
  536. >Sneak up behind her
  537. Ingredients.
  538. >She lets out a howl and runs forward, straight into a nearby wall
  539. >You can hear the noise her face makes when it hits it from here
  540. >Wince
  541. >She'll feel that later on
  542.
  543. 15/?
  544.
  545. >The door opens
  546. >"Ok, Anon. I heard that as well. Got a light?"
  547. >"Yup."
  548. >You hide behind some boxes and watch as Anon and Rose walk through the cellar, searching for what made the noise
  549. >Your heart leaps at the sight of him
  550. >A smile creeps onto your face
  551. >Anon and Rose search through a few boxes until Rose finds Fluttershy
  552. >"Oh Celestia! Anon, I've found somep0ny!"
  553. >"Who?"
  554. >"...Fluttershy"
  555. >Anon groans and goes over to Rose
  556. >He nudges Fluttershy with his foot
  557. >She doesn't move
  558. >Grumbling, he grabs her tail and drags her up the steps to into the shop, Rose following behind him
  559. >No! He's taking her right where she wants to go!
  560. >You weave between boxes and sneak up the stairs as quietly as you can
  561. >Push open the door slightly
  562. >The shop is empty
  563. >You see Fluttershy's upper half disappear around a corner
  564. >She's wide awake and smiling straight at you
  565. >Glare
  566. >You ought to just run over there and confront her
  567. >But... Anon will be disappointed
  568. >You opt to continue your stealthy approach
  569. >Nudge open the door a little bit more and begin skulking through the shop
  570. >You hear hoofsteps
  571. >Duck behind a giant cactus
  572. >Rose trots back into the display room and takes her place behind the counter, pulling out a magazine and burying her face in it
  573. >You watch her for a while, your eyes darting from her to the place Anon dragged Fluttershy
  574. >Need to distract her somehow...
  575.
  576. 16/?
  577.
  578. >You notice an empty flowerpot next to you
  579. >Grin
  580.
  581. >You are Rose
  582. >Notice the cactus in the corner shuffle slightly
  583. >You look up and narrow your eyes at it
  584. Hello?
  585. >Nothing
  586. >You go back to reading the magazine
  587. >The cactus shuffles again
  588. Ok, seriously. Is that you, Anon? Fluttershy?
  589. >Go back to your magazine
  590. >A flowerpot crashes into the wall next to you
  591. What the f-
  592. >A Pony then collides with you
  593. >You try to scream but she rams her entire foreleg in your mouth
  594. >Tastes like dairy products.
  595. >You struggle but the pony wraps another leg around your throat
  596. >Your struggles get weaker as you are starved for air
  597. >Your vision goes darker and sound becomes more muffled, the sound of your rapid heartbeat pounding in your ears
  598. >And you're out.
  599.
  600. 17/?
  601.
  602. >You are Sandy
  603. >Master of Stealth
  604. >With Rose out of the way, you quickly hop over the counter and make your way to the back of the store
  605. >A flight of stairs leads to the second story of the building, no doubt where Anon took Fluttershy
  606. >You hear muffled screams coming from upstairs
  607. >Pick up the pace, using your wings to flap upstairs
  608. >You come to the door where the noises are coming from
  609. >Crash through the door
  610. >Anon is tied up on the bed, a pair of socks in his mouth Fluttershy grinning madly at him
  611. >They both look at you
  612. >Fluttershy squeals
  613. >Anon makes a happy sounding noise
  614. >With the stage set, you unleash your complimentary one liner, much to the entertainment of the audience and readers.
  615. Ingredients.
  616. >Fluttershy's eye twitches
  617. >"W-WHY CAN'T YOU JUST LEAVE US ALONE?"
  618. >She charges forward and punches you in the face
  619. >You're too stunned to think about what just happened
  620. >You go down like a sack of spuds
  621. >Anon groans over his socks
  622. >Fluttershy pants
  623. >"I-I'm sorry. But I need to show Anon that I love him!"
  624. >She flutters back over to the bed and begins licking Anon's face
  625. >You sit up, rubbing the side of your face and wincing
  626. >Anon is making a pathetic sobbing sound
  627. >Fluttershy is moaning every time she licks
  628. >You stand up, legs shaking and head spinning
  629. >Fluttershy sees this and flies back over to you
  630. >She hovers out of your reach
  631. >You unfurl your wings to fly but she swoops down and punches you again
  632. >You hit the floor and groan
  633. >Why is she hitting so hard?
  634.
  635. 18/?
  636.
  637. >Fluttershy pulls back to dish out the final blow when hole burns through the ceiling and a black blob lands in her mane
  638. >The blob screams
  639. >Fluttershy screams
  640. >Anon screams
  641. >You scream
  642. >Fluttershy drops to the floor and starts rolling around
  643. >"GET IT OFF GET IT OOOFF!"
  644. >You watch in awe as a small sentient piece of black goo chews on her left ear, making happy little "nom" sounds every now and again
  645. >While she's fighting for her left ear and mane, you trot over to Anon
  646. >Undo his binds
  647. >He sits bolt upright and hugs you
  648. >"Thanks, Sandy."
  649. >Your heart is hammering in your chest
  650. >You cannot contain your blush
  651. I- I can't think properly right now at the moment. Yes. No?
  652. >Anon chuckles and smiles warmly at you
  653. >"I owe you one"
  654. >You stammer and try to find words to say
  655. >At that moment, Fluttershy manages to get the blob off her
  656. >She throws it in a random direction
  657. >It lands on your face
  658. >The blob, only concerned with eating, bites your face
  659. >Pain overtakes you and you let out a cry
  660. >Anon tries to scrape the blob off with a sock
  661. >Fluttershy is huddled on the floor
  662. >The blob stops biting
  663. >It stays motionless
  664. >After a short while it drops to the floor, rolls to the nearby window and burns a hole in the glass
  665. >It looks back at you and says
  666. >"Missy, you taste like crap."
  667. >Then it's gone.
  668.
  669. 19/?
  670.
  671. >You smile nervously and look back at Anon
  672. Heh. Blobs, right?
  673. >He's staring at you, a confused look on his face
  674. >"Sandy... What the hell?"
  675. >What.
  676. >Fluttershy sits up and glares at you, her face badly burnt and scabbed, and her ear chewed up.
  677. >Her glare turns to a look of shock
  678. >"Oh- OH! OH NO!"
  679. >She takes flight and smashes through the window
  680. >You watch her go and look back at Anon
  681. >He takes a step away from you
  682. What's wrong?
  683. >"Yeah... That's what I was thinking."
  684. >You look around for a mirror
  685. >See one near the wall
  686. >Trot on over
  687. >Look into it
  688. >You stare back
  689. >And the place where the blob was chewing is now jet black and shiny
  690. >A corner of your mouth was also touched, and you see a single fang poking out
  691. >Your eye was completely enveloped, and a bright blue narrow eye looks back
  692. >Oh.
  693. >...
  694. >Bugger.
  695.
  696. 20/?
  697.
  698. >You turn away from it and look back at Anon sadly
  699. >He gawps at you
  700. >"Sandy, I don't understand."
  701. >You sigh and release the enchantment
  702. >Your tan coat and maroon mane fade away and the familiar black chitinous plating replaces it
  703. >Your horn reforms itself and your wings buzz slightly
  704. >Anon takes another step back
  705. >"So what, you're like a bug, or something?"
  706. I'm... A changeling.
  707. >Realisation seems to hit him
  708. >"Oooooh. NOW everything makes sense."
  709. >You sit on the floor and begin your tale
  710.
  711. >Being a Changeling brings its fair share of perks.
  712. >A loving family. A nice place to live (dark and cavernous). And a wonderful leader to idolise.
  713. >You on the other hoof... You were the runt of the litter
  714. >Mistake after mistake. You screwed up constantly.
  715. >Others called you a "Grub". Which isn't a very nice thing to call a Changeling
  716. >The Queen, who's love for her subjects never ends, also thought you were a Grub.
  717. >It was just that bad.
  718. >So she did the only thing she could. Since she couldn't kill you (Changelings don't kill other Changelings)
  719. >She exiled you. Kicked you right out of the hive and sent you someplace else
  720. >That place happened to be Ponyville.
  721. >Now this is where the troubles really started.
  722.
  723. 21/?
  724.
  725. >Changelings need companionship. Without it, they'll die. The Queen can survive forever without it, she's the queen. But normal changelings need something to interact with, or they'll just go mad
  726. >When you first arrived in Ponyville, you were terrified. You haphazardly threw together a disguise and thought of a name. You didn't understand the concept of Cutie Marks though.
  727. >That's why you have a panda for one
  728. >You were confused. Ponies were something you had never seen. You knew the basics of being a changeling, but not how to interact with other races.
  729. >That is why, when you saw Anon, you saw his height, strength and thought that he was the "Queen"
  730. >You tried your hardest to see to his needs and to serve him
  731. >Anything to make him happy
  732. >Anything to make him proud of you and appreciate you
  733. >Even if that meant forcing him to eat when he didn't want to.
  734. >Hey, Queens have got to eat as well, you know.
  735. >Sometimes, you even managed to squeeze a bit of love out of him. It wasn't much. It was a heavily diluted form of love, not the real deal. Usually created after you made him happy.
  736. >It was enough to sustain you
  737. >And if he was happy, you were happy.
  738. >Because that's all you wanted.
  739. >To be appreciated.
  740.
  741. 22/?
  742.
  743. >Anon is sat on the edge of the bed, listening to your tale with great interest
  744. >You finish and look up at him sheepishly
  745. >"You thought I was a queen? Seriously?"
  746. >He laughs
  747. >The sweetest sound.
  748. So uhh. What happens now?
  749. >"Shifting Sands. Oh man, that's good."
  750. Anon?
  751. >"All those times you did weird shit! How could I have not noticed!"
  752. >He laughs again
  753. >"You grew wings the second time we met!"
  754. >Oh yeah. That was nerves. You didn't know what to do when he came home so you just gave yourself wings
  755. Anon?
  756. >"Yeah?"
  757. You don't... Hate me now, do you?
  758. >"Not really, no. Why would I?"
  759. I tricked you.
  760. >"You took a necessary risk to save your own life and saved me from Fluttershy. Again. No, Sandy, I don't hate you."
  761. >You smile, and your heartbeat increases again
  762. >He walks over and kneels down in front of you
  763. >"You're a good friend, Sandy. Even if you are a bit weird... You even called the Mayor the "Elected Official". I'd hate to see what would have happened if you had followed her around for 5 weeks..."
  764. >Blush
  765. >He places a hand on your head and strokes
  766. >"I don't hate you, Sandy. You're the coolest friend I've ever had"
  767. >You feel a surge of love emanate from Anon. The strongest yet.
  768. >You stare up at his smiling face and for once in your confusing and troublesome life...
  769.
  770. >You feel like you belong.
