On the bunkers

So, what the fuck happened?

4chan got hacked by the Sharty. As such, all the anons are forced to relocate to the altchans ("bunkers") created years prior. This paste shall list them and some of their features, alongside with the generals that relocated there.
Notes: listing of generals may be incomplete. Throughout the paste, /mlpol/ will generally refer to mlpo.net as a whole.

Recent happenings

• 8chan.moe's /mlp/ is kil.
• After some 8 years, mlpol.net finally updates its rules. Familiarise yourself with them.
• /mlpol/ and NHNB are trying to do a joint project, called the "Refuge" Community Artpack. The theme is "Refuge" and "Home - past, present, and future", it's leaning to be SFW (but NSFW isn't disallowed), and it can be in any format you can think of (drawing, music, poem, etc.). The deadline is May 2nd. Relavent threads on /mlpol/ and NHNB.
• The staff of /mlpol/ can't decide whether /poner/ should be a red board or a blue one. Vote here, if you haven't already.
• Some Sharty members try raiding a few of the /mlp/ altchans (and also Cytube), they fail horribly at both.

/mlpol/'s /poner/

Before the hack, mlpol.net had perhaps the largest population of any of the altchans that will be discussed. The site is split into a few boards: /mlpol/ (the main one, combining politics and ponies), /sp/ (mostly shitposting, some semi-off-topic discussion as well, including a few drama threads), /qa/ (site support), /vx/ (mostly gaming, including CYOAs, but a bit of /x/ can be seen as well), /üb/ (off-topic discussion, usually asking for advice or recommendations), /cyb/ (think /g/ or /sci/), /a/ (it is what it sounds like), and /1ntr/ (pure off-topic discussion and shitposting). When 4chan was hacked, a new board was made to contain the new arrivals: /poner/. This is where all the refugees are to congregate.

Particularities of /poner/: instead of the default name for a poster being "Anonymous", it is "Poner". Generals and EQG are allowed. The question of whether it should be a red board or not is undecided, but it's leaning towards the former and, currently, posting NSFW content is allowed.

Features:

• Extended formatting: coloured text, including gradients and shifting. Bold, italics, underline, strikethrough. Pinktext, the sister of greentext. Headings. Pre-existing /mlp/ formatting as well. All of these can be combined to your heart's content.
• Dice rolls: useful for CYOAs and such.
• Pony Emojis: accessible by typing : (just make sure that no text precedes it, i.e. this: will do nothing, but this : will initialise it).
• The Overboard, for having the newest updates from all the threads accessible all at once.
• A built-in filter: accessible from the Options in the top-right. Don't like seeing annoyingcunt!!hiudsfi in every thread you come across? Fear no more.
• A built-in archive: whereas /mlp/'s threads are saved off-site by Desuarchive, mlpol.net keeps them in an on-site archive, though searching it isn't quite as easy.
• High customisation, including custom CSS and JS.
• 5 images for post: increases the quality of image dumps.

Generals that have resettled to mlpol.net (on /poner/ unless stated otherwise):

No Hooves, No Business (NHNB)

NHNB is split into three boards: /fim/ for SFW content, /clop/ for NSFW, and /qa/ for site support. It is known for its strict rules regarding non-pony content, so no EQG (or even G5) for you. Certain threads that could be considered semi-grey areas (e.g. /opg/) have to overcome some hurdles to not get removed. A fair amount of backup threads were here even before the hack (a few of which had died on /mlp/ long before), so it has more "generals-in-exile" than /mlpol/, despite a similar or even smaller amount of posters. Unlike /mlpol/, no new containment board was created, so these three are your go-to places (note: general discussion has, however, been moved to a new series of pinned threads, "The Great 4channening").

Features:

The following boards aren't as active as the the two with their separate sections, but nonetheless, they may be worth looking into.

8chan (.moe and .top)

As is well-known, 8chan proper died around 2019. All of the successor sites to 8chan allow their users to create their own boards. As such, there's more than one website to bear 8chan's name and more than one pony board on each of them. The more notable ones shall be discussed.
8chan.moe: Currently seems to be the most talked-about 4chan alternative. It has a few pony boards:

• /mlp/ used to be the biggest of pony boards on the 8chan successor sites. It is (in)famous for its very lax moderation rules, allowing things such as zoophilia and lolicon. Of course, there were some more regulars things as well: a Tamers thread, a griffon thread, an RD thread... in April, said zoophilia threads caused it to go down.
• /pone/ - Fairly dead, but a couple of recent posts on a game and on a "post every time you come here" threads have been made. Other threads are mainly Aryanne-related.
• /clop/ - Very dead. Feel free to try to do something with it, though.
• /8flags/ - A mix of 8 boards, one of which is /mlp/. Relatively active (emphasis on relatively).

8kun.top is the other successor. So, let's get straight to the point:

• /pone/ - Just a little more active than .moe's /pone/.

4ccg.implying.fun: For all your 4chan cup needs.

On the soil of those not-so-kind to the board

ponychan.co: The successor of the sworn enemy, to no one's surprise, wasn't all that effected by the fall of 4chan, as it has strayed far from chan culture, only keeping the name in the domain.
soyjak.party: Yes, the very site that took down 4chan. Among their boards, there is /nate/, currently being spammed by anyone who has the ability to. It is the one and only board to allow pony content. Don't expect it to last long before being thrown into the last page or being derailed.

Non-imageboards

Given the interconnectivity of the internet, a user of /mlp/ is virtually guaranteed to also use some other website, which may not always be an imageboard. The following websites/groups, while functioning very differently from 4chan, maintain a strong /mlp/ diaspora:
Various Cytube channels: Of note here is the Rewatch stream (every Saturday), the closely related Bootleg (after the Rewatch stream or sometimes in place of it) and Monday/Franchise (self-explanitory) streams, and the more distant MLPA/Afterparty (24/7). Other boards (such as /v/) have also found refuge here.
Miscellaneous channels/servers on Discord, IRC, Telegram, Matrix, Xitter-alternatives, etc.: Self-explanitory. Usually small, tightly-knit communities, often closely related to some other site. There's a fair amount of these, and the most difficult part is finding them. My advice: don't be afraid to ask around.

Non-English speaking

2ch.hk's /mlp/: Russian-speaking. Seems to have had a bit of a small increase in activity when 4chan went down. There's also /mlpr/ for roleplay, but that one is essentially dead.

Other other boards

mlpg.co: The oldest surviving pony altchan, once a force to be reckoned with, how far has it now fallen. Only one thread has made its new home there, and that is (unsurprisingly) the My Little Pony General (/mlpg/) itself.
Desuarchive: A few 4chan archives allow "ghostposting", i.e. a way to continue a thread after it has already been killed. As it doesn't allow posting images, it hasn't been used as a replacement by anyone except for a part of the Classic /Pony -Community- General, the self-styled successor to the /b/ threads of old.
Endchan's /pone/ (/endpone/) - Relatively active (when compared to the 8chan pony boards). Endchan also has the fairly dead /mlp/.
plus4chan.org: /co/'s ancient refuge. Ponies have found a way there in two ways: on the Tamers thread and on a specialised /mlp/ refugee thread. Quite neat if you also want to interact with refugees from other boards, in this case, with our old /co/mrades.
Redchan.net's /mlp/: Don't ask, for I know not myself. Just found it mentioned in a post on NHNB.
