Overview

Over the pasts few years, several videos looking back at the Brony fandom which attempt to paint it in a negative light have been made for the sole purpose of gaining clicks and views (in other words, money), while ultimately saying nothing of value about said fandom. This is part of a broader epidemic of so-called "slop" that has befallen Youtube. It is no surprise, then, that the aforementioned videos are poorly researched, and have gained notoriety among fans of MLP on 4chan (known by their autonym "Horsefuckers"), where saying "TRAUMA" to any mention of something like Cupcakes HD (as an example) has become a sort of inside joke.

It should be noted, then, that no proper break-down of where said slop goes wrong has been done, at least as far as I know. As such, I have decided to write this paste to hopefully correct any misinformation that has been spread in the name of a few more coins to one's pocket. This paste assumes that the reader has basic knowledge of MLP, but little to no familiarity with the community around it (hence why something like "what's a Horsefucker?" has been explained just above). A short glossary has been included in the bottom of the paste as well.

I will avoid responding to subjective statements (e.g. "this is very disturbing", "my personal experience with that is..."), but any objective one will be corrected (or at the very least, an attempt will be made).

Raymundo - "How Bronies TRAUMATIZED The Internet."

Introduction

Raymundo's first video regarding Bronydom was published in 2015 (where he self-describes himself as a Brony, and was still a child) and went to that year's Bronycon (annual fandom convention that lasted 2011-2019). In 2023, he published the infamous video "Bronies TRAUMATIZED a Generation", which gained enough views to spawn a sequel, "The SINS of Bronies". After taking a break and talking about other subjects, he returned to discussing Bronydom in late 2024 with the video "DERPYGATE: An Insane Controversy". Finally, as Christmas approached, he made "How Bronies TRAUMATIZED The Internet" (later renamed to "My Little Trauma."), which is a combination of his first two videos that were critical of the fandom, alongside some recycled things from the third one, a guest segment, and a bit of actually original material (in simpler terms, he came across an endless treasure trove of content and managed to run out of things to milk).

Given all this, chiefly "How Bronies TRAUMATIZED The Internet" video will be considered, as essentially everything from the previous slop of his can be found here too. Cut-out sections from the other vids will occasionally be mentioned as well.

On to the video - Section 1 - Intro

We start off with the ever iconic intro, comprising of a distorted version of the MLP theme, alongside clips from Cupcakes HD, Smile HD, the .MOV series, some horror games, the first google result for "mlp creepypasta" (much research), and some other miscellaneous things as well.

We are then given a helpful definition of what a Brony is. To quote:
>A brony basically a male fan of My Little Pony who is usually an adult or teenager
Alas, this definition fails on two fronts. The first is the choice to specify "Brony" as being exclusively male - while there is indeed the term "pegasister" for female fans specifically, there's plenty of debate regarding its validity since the very beginning, and by the time of the original video's publication, it had already become a fairly obsolete term (long before the video even got published, in fact).
Second, it seems our slopman has completely forgotten that various fans of MLP specifically avoid using that term to describe themselves. The simplest example of this are the MLP fans over on 4chan, who have long since preferred the label "Horsefucker".

We are then given the classic origin of the word as coming from the Ponybro Exchange (See Glossary). Alas, the earliest known attestation of the word Brony is from three days before said conversation, and this earlier mention was already known by the time the original video got made. Additionally, there are rumours of an even earlier usage on /b/ (as /b/rony), but those are unconfirmed and seemingly contradicted by the form "/b/ brony" present in early /mlp/ archives. Regardless, let's go on.

So, we're past the 1 minute mark! Raymundo goes to say some generalised things I can't anything about, and also speaks on children also being fans of the show (understandable). I'll just point out something, though: when he says: >[...] which unfortunately led a lot of kids to be exposed to very, very disturbing things that they really should not be seeing
He apparently lacks any remaining footage and just uses a clip from CollegeHumor's parody to illustrate this point.

After a bit of personal backstory (where he also shows an inability to find footage without any watermarks), we finally get to the first topic explored "in-depth": the Cupcakes creepypasta and Cupcakes HD, an animation based around it.

Section 2 - Misterdavie

We start off this section with the classic rumour that Misterdavie may have been an animator at Hasbro; of course, Raymundo presents this as "some say that...", when in reality, this was a claim made by Davie himself; he also claimed to have worked in Disney as a "master animator" and at Cartoon Network as the fucking CEO, but hey, this is the internet, no one ever lies.

We see a classic historical misconception:
>[Pinkie] even had a mental breakdown in one episode which led people to make a story where her cupcakes were actually made of other ponies
As basically everyone knows by this point, the creepypasta was made before the described episode (Party of One) had aired. More specifically, by the time of February 24th (2011), it was already infamous enough to be called "legendary", and Party of One only released on April 29 (of the same year). The story itself released in January of 2011. Our man Raymundo doesn't know that, though.

After a quick recap and an amazing blunder of speaking (>Really, just... fun to watch instead of unfun, ~6:56), we get onto Smile HD. After once again recapping what happens in the video, he complaints about the video not being age restricted; However, as everyone knows by now, Youtube will view anything animated as "kid friendly" (except when it doesn't). Perhaps some readers may remember when an episode of the horror series Don’t Hug me I’m Scared got mistaken by a bot to be for children. In general, anyone even slightly acquainted with animation on Youtube is well aware of how arbitrary the bots who review these types of videos can be - swear once in your 20 minute animated masterpiece? Demonetised. Don't do that? Welcome to Youtube Kids, say goodbye to all your comments and revenue. Actually, Cupcakes HD stands out here as example of the latter, as can be seen here. However, Raymundo doesn't mention this at all. Peculiar, isn't it?

Let's go past Smile HD and talk about another MisterDavie animation: Derpy gets pranked HD (note that it was chronologically released before Smile HD, but I suppose that can be justified with storytelling or something). Actually, nevermind, he says nothing of value here, not even a recap (he also completely neglects to mention that the entire video was just a lead up to a fart joke, making it appear far more sinister than it actually is, hmm).

Oh, and MisterDavie had made four other videos as well, 3 of them MLP related and one Sonic related where he humps Sally (another character in the universe of Sonic). Unsurprisingly, the latter was age restricted since essentially the very beginning. But I guess these didn't cause trauma to anyone, huh...

Short Section 3 - talking about the show

Why. Literally why. What propose does this short, nothing burger section serve other than padding out the length time? He says something about how this shows that the show was aimed for children 7-12 (The Show Bible explicitly mentions the main audience to be girls 6-11, with secondary audiences of preschoolers, moms, and, of course, boys), and that's it.

Short Section 4 - Ponies sliding into boxes

Another short one. He saw 2Snacks's (of Two Best Sisters Play fame) humorous video "釘の箱", meaning "Box of Nails" in Japanese. When he saw it, he became always on edge when watching other sliding-into-boxes videos, perhaps because he managed to miss the distinctive aspects of 2Snacks's one (e.g. the more detailed and colourful boxes), the unusual title, etc. Not sure how this even happens, kek.

Section 5 - Lil Miss Rarity

I'll admit it - I haven't seen the series. However, neither has Raymundo:
>The story is a bit hard to actually understand by watching the video, and honestly, I don't feel like reading My Little Pony fanfiction right now so... you're just going to have to go with my interpretation. (circa ~13:02)
wow! much research, so effort

On a serious note, if you don't want to read MLP fanfiction for one reason or another, you could just listen to the dub. Don't like it? Have a fun little recap as well (which just so happens to be made by the same guy who uploaded the Lil Miss Rarity animation to Youtube, neat).

>The ponies are like weirdly humanized...
By the proper definitions, they count as "semi-anthro", not humanised. Yes, to the unaware, there is a difference, see the glossary.
>and, like, seemingly kind of sexualized too
He doesn't know [NSFW].

(Very) Short Section 6 - "The Jar"

It is overrated. I prefer the Cum Wall.

Section 7 - Furries, inflation, other weirdness

We get this golden statement:
*>Now, the thing about My Little Pony and Brony culture is that it heavily (kind of) tied into furry culture. Now, most Bronies weren't Furries, but a lot of Furries were Bronies, if that makes sense" No, it does not, in fact, make sense. Is there overlap? ...sure. But were "most Furries Bronies"? For fuck's sake, just consider the statistics, I don't think anyone will disagree with me when I'll say that there are (and were) a lot more Furries than there are "Bronies", and most of the ones that liked/like the show were/are passive fans, and wouldn't call themselves "Bronies". Besides, this also dismisses the historically "not-so-good" (to put it mildly) relations between the two fandoms, which still lives on to this day in certain corners of the MLP fanbase (e.g. /mlp/).

He then talks a lot about inflation, saying that we got it from Furries (I mean... fair enough, probably true) and discussing one specific game in particular. Alas, I can only find footage of it, not the actual game itself, so the only thing of value I can see it that the Soyjak-looking thing that's "censoring" something in the video is actually censoring a progressively reddening part of the belly.

>This also ended up leading a lot of children to develop, sort of. like, inflation fetishes later in life
Sources, never heard of them.

He then proceeds to talk about Google results for MLP being, well, not very NSFW at one point (okay, fair enough), and uses this image with the crotch censored (despite there being nothing there) as an example. Thing is, it's not exactly hard to find an NSFW version of the pic, so no clue why he didn't use that. Maybe to make the censoring process easier?

In the same section, he also says:
>There was this odd subsection of pony art where it was, like, the characters, but they had human-sized... like, "breasts" that would just hang down, 'cause they're on all fours, but they would still be, like, down there. It was really strange and and just looked anatomically all over the place [...]
Without a proper example (which, granted, he probably couldn't've included because of YouTube, so fair enough), and considering the image discussed above, I think this may be referring to so-called "crotchboobs". Alas, to Raymundo's dismay, this is considered "anatomically correct", as horses do, in fact, have "breasts" located in their crotch, i.e. teats. They are just far smaller than artists tend to depict them, but they're there.

Short Section 8 - Rainbow Factory

Not much to say here. He mistakenly calls RF a "creepypasta" first and foremost, but there's a correction when he says so. This is also one of the few sections where he doesn't go full puritan and states:
>Of course, by no means am I saying that this shouldn't have existed in any sense; kids finding it is essentially inevitable.
So... good job.

Short Section 9 - PONY.MOV

Another short one. Just a recap of SHED.MOV with a beautiful piano rendition of This Day Aria in the background.
...Although, it may serve to bring up that before discussing the proper topic, he gives quite some praise to hotdiggedydemon's current series, Brain Dump. I suspect that no longer being a Brony (or related) changes Raymundo's judgement of him, and the section would've been harsher (and longer) had the .MOV series not have been a one-off thing.

Section 10 - Fluffy Ponies

He says: "Do not research! Do not research! Stay away!". Various claims are made, including:
>I've tried to understand it, but I just cannot Research be damned indeed. Well, for the unaware, here's the quick rundown: before the days of /mlp/, some guy drew ponies in a specific art style. People liked it, they started copying it, and a whole subsection of the fandom was born. They'd come up with various headcanons for them, and the "best" ones among them would spread and become accepted by other members as well. A lot of art and stories would be made, some of which would involve the fluffies harming themselves in humorous or otherwise absurd ways. Eventually, the Russians got their hand on the fluffies, and started gradually morphing them from fairly well-drawn (at least in comparision) clearly MLP related creatures into something more unique, more... crude, let's say.
As for why they ended up outside 4chan, that's probably the simplest part: there was a large purge of various content on /mlp/ ~2013 that forced the Fluffies to relocate elsewhere, mainly on the recently established Fluffybooru. Alas, after pointless inner conflict, Fluffybooru was closed, and so the Fluffies, left with no home of their own, migrated to sites like Youtube and Reddit.

...Why do I write all this? To note the date of Fluffybooru's closure was around late 2020, making this entire section quite out of period for our essayist. This is especially useful when things like
*>this sort of content was widespread** Are said, despite this thus verifiably being not true. It's information literally pulled out of his arse.

>The content is always, always just absolutely hideous
Again, blame the Russians (at least on the visual side - fluffy abuse had existed far before). Though, this sentence itself is not really true: Fluffy content is grouped into various "boxes", one of these being hugbox (pretty sure the term "box" in this case may be a back-formation from hugbox). I can't really say how the size of hugbox compares to the other "boxes", but given how it's arguably the oldest one, I'd assume it'd still be one of the larger ones.
>To anyone who did end up seeing this sort of thing as a kid, I am so sorry that you had to go through that. Like, I'm genuinely feeling it for you, like, that is awful.
For the last time: if they saw Fluffies as a kid, they likely saw them on Youtube (which is what is being implied here, given all of the things preceding it). Fluffy content only started appearing en masse there since ~2021 (if not later, given how there was also a successor site to Fluffybooru that didn't die until... ~2023? Earlier uploads exist as well, but in very small quantities and with minimal views), and Raymundo's (original) video was published on 2023, meaning that essentially any kid who saw Fluffy content on Youtube would've still been, in fact, a child. Oh, and given Raymundo's disclaimer, I doubt any of them should be watching his video...

Note: a large part of this section relies on a summary of Fluffy history by u/OhNoOhPlsNo. However, other sources have been used as well, mainly the archives of /mlp/ and /trash/ (verifying things like Fluffybooru's closure or the small spread of Fluffy Pony videos on Youtube), as well as Neolurk for a clearer picture of the Russian side of things.

Short Section 11 - Bronycon

He calls Bronycon "the big, official one" (it was in no way official), finds out clopping and foalcon exists (except he doesn't, he just saw suggestive pillows of the CMC), references the Lyra plush, and that's basically it.

Section 12 - End of the initial TRAUMA video

He cites anecdotal evidence of people being horribly effected by the fandom (no precise statistics given), plays TiaraWhy footage above it (he didn't even get mentioned in the original video kek) and some other vid of his as well. He then calls early bronies "homophobic", citing the media as the primary reason (guess 4chan just doesn't exist anymore?), says the sentiment wore off (>he hasn't been on /mlp/) and that you can find it in the Brony documentary (because merely stating the fact that the majority of your fandom isn't gay is apparently homophobic). After the standard "I'm so sorry for you all!!" and condemning finishing remarks, there's a small difference between the original version of the video and the "My Little Trauma" one - in the OG, there's just the standard Youtube "share your thoughts, buy my merch" talk, but in the discussed version, there's a (in my opinion) fairly decent rendition of WoodenToaster's Rainbow Factory, with the footage made to resemble BronyDanceParty's PMV.

Section 13 - cut part of The SINS of Bronies

In order to make the transition between the original TRAUMA vid and the follow-up, a brief section was cut out, featuring an intro section with a rock cover of the MLP theme (played over the things that are to be discussed later on), some "info" on "early" 4chan, a personal account of his experiences, and a recap of the original vid. Some statements from our essayist:
>[...] it was very bizarre that the website kind of fell in love with this new TV show [MLP:FiW]
Too much here to get into, so I'll just say the gist: it wasn't the "website" (more like a few subsections of varying sizes across a few boards, mainly /co/ and /b/), it wasn't the first time something like this happened, nor at this scale (just consider Touhou).
>a lot of the fans of [MLP] on 4chan had completely innocent intent and just genuinely enjoyed the show, and it was kind of sweet in a lot of ways
t. has never read the archives
>[...] and amazing animations that looked just like the show, all this art, video games [...]
Given how no concrete timeframe is given, it's hard to comment on this, given how the situation was different depending on the time period. In general, it's true that there was a massive amount of art, and a decent amount of show-accurate animations (not as much as is implied here), but (high quality) video games were nearly always hype-only, and very few MLP game projects managed to succeed (even those which did are most probably outside of the described time period).
>There [in the original video], I discussed MisterDavie, an animator who made videos that were incredibly violent and disturbing
He says, while playing footage Derpy Gets Pranked HD, the most tame of his more well-known videos, which is just a literal fart joke.
>[Some things on Lil Miss Rarity, which he mistakenly calls Little Miss Rarity]
...Which was published on Tumblr, far from the eyes of any kids, and only got to Youtube because someone unrelated had posted it there.
>Rainbow Factory, a fanfiction and song
Again, the song came first and foremost, only then was there a fanfiction, and then an unrelated PMV for the song.
>The Jar
Reminder.
>Inflation art, Google image NSFW, and, of course, in-person BronyCon art
Inflation - blame Furries.
Google images - how is one supposed to predict whether the algorithm for picking images choses to show their NSFW image or not? If the algorithm fails to determine whether an image is (N)SFW, that is its fault, not the artist's.
Bronycon - the actually NSFW shit was shown when children weren't present (he says this himself in the OG video), and kids have seen suggestive things since, well, forever.

Short Section 14 - Cupcakes, Luna game

Given this is from the sequel, it seems his research skills have slightly improved. There's nothing explicitly factually wrong with the Cupcakes (animated) section (at least I don't think so?), nor is there with the Luna game section (well, it could've been definitely better, e.g. mention how it caused a change in Equestria Daily's policy on game hosting, make the fact that he's also talking about other games in the series as well more obvious, etc.), nor even with the Cupcakes – The Animation section.

Short Section 15 - Shipping

Ironically enough, the one thing I have to complain here about is where he calls Half-Life a source game. The original game is not, only a later re-release (which much be specified as Half-Life: Source) and the sequel are. The rest is just Raymundo's personal opinion, on which I won't comment.

Section 16 - tiarawhy

First and formost - he forgets to look into tiarawhy's website (which was still active as of the video's creation), and thus misses a lot of the early, explicit content. The very first somewhat high quality clop game is said to be made by tiarawhy, in fact.

The section starts out with a recounting of Cupcakes MLP, claimed to be tiarawhy's first animation (I searched a little on Newgrounds and the archived Tumblr, this seems to be true, unless there's some random animation he made on 4chan that I missed). He states:
>To a lot of people, this completely changed their viewpoint of the characters in the show; they couldn't enjoy Pinkie Pie in the way that they once did after seeing all of this content and how disturbing it was.
As always, the source for this is non-existent.

He then talks about Twilight Sparkle special message for all her fans. It's more of what we've already seen, really, not much to talk about. Maybe he fairs better discussing Flutters gets BEEBEEPED in the maze? No. Apparently, he hasn't heard of a mind control fetish before. Regardless, he mentions a top comment (whether it was at the actual top when the essay got made, I don't know, but it certainly isn't now, nor is it the most liked one) and makes a big deal out of her getting mind controlled twice (it's just to loop the video, lel). He then proceeds to note how none of the aforementioned videos are age restricted (this is false on the broader channel context, just look at the videos involving Cream Heart); I've already written about this in the section on MisterDavie.

After that shit, we get a rapid-fire of tiarawhy's other videos. Some statements made:
>It's likely making fun of clopping and cloppers
Newgrounds. The very first tiarawhy video he discussed linked to it. How did he miss it?
Or the website. Or the Tumblr...
>[complaining about Spike × Twilight]
He does know that tiarawhy is by far not the only one to have done this, right? R-right?
>All these videos are comedic in nature; they aren't straight up NSFW, but they're just so suggestive and kind of nasty that it [...]
One of the videos discussed in this section is quite literally the polar opposite of comedic (My Little Pony: Friendship was magic), nor is it suggestive.
>Chiarawhy
You heard that right, he can't even get the name right. (~48:27)
>The whole Cream Heart section Congrats, you've just proven that you know about the videos that got age restricted and just chose not to talk about them. Before anyone claims that they weren't age restricted at that point, they were, the archives speak for themselves.
Also, he does know that tiarawhy made a porn game about Cream Heart, right?

Short Section 17 - The testimonials

As I've said in the beginning, I avoid responding to subjective statements. As such, I have nothing to say here. Well, except that in ~49:03, the burned-in subtitles say "but it doesn't have an impact on me", whereas the actual narration states "but it definitely had, like, an impact on me". I'm not sure how it's even possible to fuck up this badly (subs are weird in other places as well, but not to this degree). The second testimonial starts by saying "Just like [NAME THAT DIDN'T GET REDACTED], I was an immigrant [...]". I sure do hope this person isn't "Lilith". Oh, and the MLP B-roll footage has watermarks on it (not Hasbro's), great job.

Section 18 - Tangent about internet security

Something about why pornography is bad (especially for the underaged) and that it is shown to be that way by various research. I thought we were discussing pony? Ah, yes, yes, we are, because, you see: bronies have committed a CARDINAL SIN! Uh, wait, no, by "bronies", he just means the "bad apples"! Uh, yes, that's definitely what he meant! Oh, err, never mind, we're blaming the algorithm now, I guess? Sure, why n- oh, forgive me, the parents are actually at fau- no, wait, it's only partially their fault, the thumbnails are to blame! How are the parents supposed to monitor their child's activity online 24/7 if they can't even see what exactly they're watching just from the thumbnail? Being overprotective? Bah! Don't you know how DANGEROUS the internet is???

All of this was actually said, just extended to such an extent that the average viewer may not notice how much the ones who are blamed are changed, from bronies to "bad apples" to the algorithm to parents back to "bad apples" (but also parents who don't monitor their kids all day long?) to I guess the internet itself? A wild ride, for sure.

Section 18 - on warnings

Cherry picking at its finest, that's what this section is. Cupcakes (animated) has a very clearly presented warning on what's to come, so does Cupcakes – The Animation. Cupcakes MLP has rather blunt "NOT FOR CHILDREN". The Lil' Miss Rarity video is taken unedited from Tumblr by a third party, and the original source isn't something kids would come across anyway. A video like 釘の箱 is entirely reliant on shock factor to succeed - putting a disclaimer defeats the purpose. The same can be said about MisterDavie's videos - if they had serious "Warning: this video is [...]", would anyone remember them? Yes, but in a fairly different way. Shock is the essence, and as the market wasn't over-saturated at that point, not putting a disclaimer does wonders for it. It's even stated in Smile HD's pseudo-warning: "Rated M for everyone in the entire universe". The point is to troll as many people as possible, as the "uncontrollable" shows in Cupcakes HD. Virtually no one would be trolled with a proper warning, would they?

Now, whether "trolling as many people as you can" is a good (or even moral) goal, that's an entirely different discussion, but one that Raymundo is oblivious to.

He also mentions the Rainbow Factory animation (fair enough, I guess), Google images (again, not the fault of MLP fans, but rather of the Google search algorithm) and that inflation video... but wait, what's that? A channel shown alongside it! So, with the magic of the Pegasus Device Internet Archive I tracked down the source footage and wouldn't you look at that, the video's from October of 2022! In other words, assuming this is not a reupload, it falls far out of the time-scope of the video and also invalidates the whole "Many children developed an inflation fetish because of this video" point, because anyone who watched it then would've still been a child when Raymundo's video got made. Oh, and some things to note: the comment section of the video seemed to be entirely comprised of bots, and the uploader deleted all but one of his videos at one point and lost a fair amount of subscribers, wonder what's that's about.

Two more things about the inflation video: the description says, >I don't own this, It's [sic] belongs to Defenceless, whatever that precisely means, and most of the other videos on the uploader's channel are unrelated in any way to ponies or MLP. So... yeah, not even a brony, just some random furry who used to upload inflation videos, one of which happened to be MLP related. And yet, it's still only the bronies who get all the blame, much logic indeed.

Semi-Short Section 19 - Nyan Nyan Dance

Remember ponies sliding into a box? This animation was made by the same guy. I find it weird to have entire sections for MisterDavie and tiarawhy, but not one for alfa995 if you're going to talk so much about him (without even knowing it)? He's confused as to why the bed scene was included, to which I offer two answers, both of which are probably simultaneously correct: 1. He introduced the Derpy×Doctor Whooves in an earlier animation (Derp She Is!!), and this is a way to continue the idea; 2. If you look at the original animation on which alfa995's one is based on, you'll see that, at the exact timestamps that the ponified version cuts to the bed scene(s), the original also cuts to... something. As I can't speak Japanese, I can only assume that it's also something romance-related.

Section 20 - Sweet Apple Massacre

Once again, he says to not research. Probably the most surprising thing is this section is that discussing the topic was apparently requested by the viewers, as practically everything else talked about is a proper video of some kind, whereas this is in the text format (or the audiobook format, if you so prefer). The broad consensus is that it's quite shit, so I can't really disagree with our essayist here. With that said, while searching for information, I found this one quote that summarises not just Raymundo's video, but a lot of the debate on explicitness and "line-crossing" in general (the whole Makaryo drama that happened recently as of writing comes to mind):
>American morals are so hypocritical, violence is normalized while sexual topics are taboo'd.
(Anonymous, 2025, Jan 31st, 4chan)

Section 21 - Miscellaneous things about Princess Celestia and a soapbox

Two well-known Celestia-related fan works got included here: Friendship is Magic Bitch (apparently, some random kid referenced it when meeting the VA for Celestia, who proceeded to make a whole rant on why parents should be watchful of what their children watch) and Princess Molestia (there's a well-known instance of someone mentioning it to the VA as well). The former isn't even close to being "disturbing" or something like that, and the latter was, just like Lil Miss Rarity, originally restricted to Tumblr, though unlike said fic, it had a far wider influence.

Anyway, as for the soapbox, he says the classic >I'm so sorry (sorry for fucking what? Not like you yourself partook in any of this, nor do you have any claim to speak on behalf of the community) and >together, we can stop this trauma for future generations with enough awareness (how exactly? Go figure).

Section 22 - BFE(D)

The first thing he speaks about here is consent. Alas, the only non-consensual act in the game where the recipient is not the player is Trixie's second scene, after which the player gets promptly punished with ball-busting. Very debatably, you could include Rainbow Dash and Big McIntosh (if you can even count what happens as a scene) as well. All other instances have the player themselves get raped, and even then, it is only 2-3 scenes: Chrystalis, Celestia, and (again, very debatably) Applejack. In all of these instances, it is the player himself who is trying to initially the sex sequence.

Now, for some of the other points:
>With many of these animations getting really rough and disturbing
What counts as "rough" in his eyes, that I know not.
>[...] Bronies at time were disgusted and disturbed by it and felt it went too far in a lot of places
I love not citing my sources.
>I've watched parts of a censored playthrough for this and even that was nauseating
Back when the "My Little Trauma" video was still fresh, I made this post on some thread, which still applies: >In other words, his entire experience with the game is watching a little fragment of someone else playing it. Seeing any of the game's charm or actually having the capability of making any observation beyond "it's abhorrent because that's what I heard a few people saying" be damned.
>The whole "this may have been featured on a website for kids" point
I can actually believe this, the curators for those kinds of sites aren't well known for quality control. He also says >I'm sorry again.

Also, this section is slightly different in the original The SINS of The Bronies, but not to any meaningful extent.

Short Section 23 - The resurgence of MLP horror content

This section is the epitome of the quote I gave in section 20. Suddenly, making gore content is good, because uh... people put disclaimers now? Oh, please ignore section 18 and all the examples of warnings being used in videos like Cupcakes (animated), which often times feature even more explicit warnings then modern videos do, those don't count! For... some reason. Also, you can definitely find examples of videos with no warnings and disclaimers whatsoever even now, like this or this.

Short Section 24 - Tulpas

We have now crossed into the "My Little Trauma" exclusive content. The first of it is... a greentext reading. Yeah, apparently we're out of "TRAUMATISING" stuff, so have some 4chan shenanigans. Also a guest appearance by literally-who, because Raymundo here is seemingly too lazy to do any research of his own (well, he was lazy before too, but at least it wasn't this obvious).

Short Section 25 - Why I stopped watching MLP

It's another creepypasta reading. Tell me, how? How do you manage to come across an endless treasure trove of content, yet manage to "run out" of it this quick? This is beyond lazy.

Short Section 26 - Story of the Blanks

Pretty much everyone else who covered this game avoids getting into spoilers like it's some plague. Raymundo, though? Naaaaaah, spoilers-schmoilers!

He also thinks that the game inspired Season 5's premier episode. Uh... sure.

Short Section 27 - My Little Amnesia

With what's discussed here, this is at least a little more similar to the tone of the original two videos. Barely.

Section 27 - Pixie

Yay, more outsourcing! A large part of this section rests on Pixie (some Youtuber who once made an MLP video that caught Raymundo's attention) being neurodivergent. As such, I believe it is not an ad hominem when I point out that, according to a fair amount of commenters, she may or may not be faking her neurodivergency. In fact, if you search up her channel, one of the first results is a commentary video on her (allegedly) faking dissociative identity disorder. As for what she actually says, it's mostly personal experience (to which, as I've already said, I don't really care about) and something about... stimboards? What's being described is interesting, but it's barely pony related.

Short Section 27 - Infection AUs

This... is an actually good section. Uh... congrats?
Well, almost. Remember section 23? The same point about presentation is reiterated again. "Infection AUs are different because they're upfront with what they are!" No, not really.

Section 28 - Derpygate

I know little of the precise details of the topic, only the general gist. I will get this done later. If anyone is willing to help out, go ahead.

CONCLUSION

As is fairly well-known, Raymundo is essentially the instigator of the entire plague of MLP "Trauma" videos that to this day are sweeping across the internet. While he was certainly not the first to spout ideas in opposition to the MLP communities, he was the one who introduced a very specific, emotionally worded narrative to the whole affair: "We were kids, it was traumatic, what vile men have done this?" The question naturally arises, then - was all this really something heartfelt, or just a way to make a fast buck?

Personally, I am of the opinion that the first video regarding Bronies, Bronies TRAUMATIZED a Generation, was made from the heart. Regardless of what anyone says, it does seem that MLP and its fandom was a fairly big part of his life at one point or another. His first "viral" video, Gen Z Childhood Trauma iceberg, already shows the main aspects of the aforementioned rhetoric of the generational perspective and self-declared "trauma". Indeed, it had a section about Smile HD, and subsequent uploads were of a similar style. Eventually, he started to expand his content more, going from the iceberg format to describing the topics "in-depth" individually. MLP, I thus conclude, is one of those topics. The only real issue is that his research amounted to "This is what I remember as a kid, that counts, right?"

After the first video, though? The whole iceberg template of videos was dropped. The sentiments of "The internet used to be better!" and "Protect the kids!" intensified. The second video was made purely because the first one did fairly well. Research level stayed about the same, but when he ran out of those supposedly very "traumatic" memories, he was forced to come up with contradictory conclusions and preaching so that his creation wouldn't feel empty. The third video is the bottom of the barrel - Youtube demands a schedule of sorts - around 1-2 months for our essayist. The Fortnite essay failed abysmally, New Years was soon approaching, and what is Raymundo supposed to do? Of course! Just recycle old content, put some random Derpygate essay even if it doesn't fit the topic, and outsource anything meaningful to other like-minded people! Argue about the SINS video all you want, but this one was blatantly made just for money and nothing else.

Regardless of the intentions, the inherent laziness of man has caused mass regurgitation of the same talking points Raymundo has said, often even presenting them as some original thought. Even some MLP fans have been swayed by it - certainly not the horsefuckers, though.

Turkey Tom - The Brony Degenerates

Introduction

Turkey Tom is a member of the Youtube commentary community producing self-described "edutainment". Everyone knows that said community is the quintessential example of modern day Youtube slop, and Tom is no exception. The only thing that really makes him different from the rest is that he has slightly more right-leaning views than the average representative of this subsection of Youtube (particularly in regards to gender), and also his connections to Kiwifarms. As he's been around on the platform for a fair amount of time, he has unavoidably covered Bronies more than once.

For most of the channel's existence, only specific MLP fans would be covered, most notably TheMysteriousMrEnter. In that, this paste is not interested. Instead, we can rewind a bit back to a series of Tom's called "The degenerates", called so by the title of each of its videos: "The Minecraft Degenerates", "The Anime Degenerates", "The Crypto Degenerates", etc.; Roblox particularly got unlucky, having both "The Roblox Degenerates" and "The Roblox Developer Degenerates". Point is, among this sea of questionably researched content with soyjacks in all the thumbnails, we find "The Brony Degenerates", our topic of discussion.

And a brief note before going all in - as Turkey Tom's video was released before Raymundo's (and also because Tom was never a Brony), the whole "TRAUMA" rhetoric is nowhere to be found. Doesn't make the video any better, though.

Section 1 - Intro

Before any specific looks at the Brony fandom are given, there's a brief introduction to its and the show as a whole's history. Some statements:

>My Little Pony is an [...] franchise [...], but it had a significantly different customer base back then than it does now

The core demographic never went away, nor did the Bronies ever make a more significant part of the consumer base, especially at the time of Turkey Tom's video. Even when considering purchases, things like plushies were/are usually made by third-party sources, so while there were/are MLP fans who bought/buy Hasbro's officially licensed toys, I strongly doubt they buy them more than the parents of the core demographic do.

>[Lauren Faust] took the opportunity to try making a genuinely entertaining series for children

The Show Bible very explicitly mentions the appeal of the show to mothers (and also boys).

>Who knows how they stumbled upon it?

This is very well documented.

>Brony-owned 4chan websites

It seems that Tom here doesn't know words like "imageboard" or "alt-chan" or even just "chan" exists.

>[On the origins of the term "Brony"]

Raymundo also made a similar mistake: Tom shows the Ponybro exchange, though it is not the origin of the term, and that was already know when the video was published. Because of this, the date given (>two weeks after the show first aired) is also off.

>By 2013, BronyCon boasted over 8 000 people; that level of popularity continued to the very end of the show [...]

He cites Bronycon 2019 as an example of this "continued popularity", forgetting that its unusually high amount of attendees was a result of other factors, such as it being the last Bronycon or the show ending. If you look at pretty much any other statistic, be it the amount of posts on /mlp/, the yearly amount of articles on EQD, or even the amount of attendees of the aforementioned Bronycon (grew until 2015, declined afterwards with the exception of 2019).

Daily reminder.

>On clopping

We're shown a picture of Vaush (breadtuber of little relevance to the topic who said some things about wanting to be a horse, whereas a fair amount of clop that has a human insert usually keeps them as, well, humans), mentions that there are 5 academic studies about clopping (I don't doubt that, but links to them would be nice), and also shows an article which seems to think that the singular of "Bronies" is... "Bronie". Indeed, that article did about as much research as Tom did.

Section 2 - ToonKriticY2K

This happens to be the longest section in the video, and it's not that bad, to be honest. Trying to paint a whole fandom in a negative light because of a few individuals, though? At least the trauma-ists keep insisting that they aren't doing any such thing, our commentator doesn't seem to care about that, though. So... respect for honesty? Now, on to actual claims:

>They were commonly referred to as the Brony Analysis Community

A bit weird to use "were" when it still exists (albeit in a reduced way), but sure.

>Zack's content has pretty much been wiped off the face of the internet

Apparently, fandom-specific archives don't exist. (proof that this archive was already up when Tom Turkey's video was made)

>[Presenting unsourced, inconsequential information from a random fandom wiki that you can't even find anymore solely because it's somewhat cringe, and also not being able to back it up with visual proof because, remember, "there are no archives" (ignore above)]

Make of it what you will.

>[Clip of TF2 Anarchy]

It's fairly certain that playing the clip was meant to poke fun of how stupid it, an by extension, Bronies, is/are. Of course, the scene right afterwards where the other characters/reviewers make fun of it being dumb is omitted.

>[Horse fame] can still help you get away with murder off of what little clout you have, but I digress

Once more, simply thinking about it for more than 2 seconds and realising "wait, the Brony was exposed and condemned by fellow Bronies, not some outside source like me??" may as well never have happened.

>[Reading leaked screenshots from Horse News]

What can I say? When you have a good source and all you do is just quote it non-stop, you get a section that doesn't really have any flaws. Congrats!
Of course, "doesn't really have" and "doesn't have" aren't the same; but the things you could point out are so insignificant that they may as well not be there (for example, failing to properly read out "dooo" and just saying "do", thus arguably losing some of the message's tone, or the editing error when transitioning between the messages at ~12:50).

>Mentioning Lily Orchard's criticisms of joshscorcher

What Tom seems entirely oblivious about is the fact that Lily Orchard... yeah, not that much better of an individual than ToonKriticY2K. In fact, he'd later on make a video on Lily, which he starts with "Have you ever met someone that was just pure evil?". Point is, Lily isn't some unbiased third-party, but rather someone who had pre-existing beef with Josh. At the very least, Tom at least puts parts of Josh's self-defense in the video to all the claims against him and doesn't distort it in any meaningful way, so... good job again, but this time for real.

>Come-backs and the rest of this section

It's pretty nice. Whatever source he used must've been fairly good. Oh wait, remember how I said that Tom's known for his relation to Kiwifarms? Yeah, I think I found his source.

Section 3 - MandoPony

This is a significantly shorter section than the previous. This is probably because of the same over-reliance on Kiwifarms, as it doesn't even have a thread about him, so he had to search for info mostly by himself. The result of this? He doesn't mention a single word about Mando's earlier drama in 2012-2013 (it's where "MandoPedo" comes from, the later usage is just a re-appropriation), can't find archives. Besides that, it's a fairly decent section.

Section 4 - /mlpol/

So, now that we're done with that lacklustre section, let's go to good ol' /mlpol/. What can one even say? Let's just get into it.

>The entire premise of this section

Reminder that Bronies and Horsefuckers are distinct, though there's plenty of interaction and even overlap between the two. /mlpol/, though? Yeah, that's a purely Horsefucker thing.

>[Describing /pol/'s flags]

Apparently, he can't find a relevant image, so he just shows the regular flags based on geolocation instead.

>And you would also expect the anons on /pol/ to staunchly reject the sexually liberated furry and LGBT pastimes of the Bronies

Once again, the difference between Horsefucker and Brony is left out, for the simple reason that Tom here isn't aware of it. And I guess we're now saying that Bronies are Furries and gay? Yeaaaaah, no.

>4chan divides boards into SFW and NSFW, dictating whether adult material is allowed on the board.

Someone hasn't read the rules, it seems. NSFW is not the same as adult content, and local board rules may overrule having it in one way or another. In /pol/'s case, local rule 3 states: "Posting pornography is not permitted. This is a politics board, not a porn board". The reason it's still considered NSFW is because one can post, for example, war footage with very explicit gore.

>Actually good description of what happened???

You can thank u/popkornucopia on Reddit for that

>Someone even posted a comic of Twilight Sparkle forgiving Hitler

Somehow, Tom here couldn't notice how out of place Adolf is in the picture. It's not some original creation, it's an edit of a well-known template under the tag of "Twilight justifies evil meme" on the boorus. It comes from the MLP IDW comic, issue #23. This specific image has been around since 2014.

>Post complaining about the lack of /mlpol/

Of all such posts, he chose one by a member of /pol/, not /mlp/, even though we're supposedly discussing Bronies. Yeah, makes sense.

>Without purchasing [My Little Nationalist], I'm unable to access his fascinating hypotheses

I would've pointed at the various uploads of it, such as the one on the Internet Archive, but no, it seems those were made after Tom's video, so... guess he was right about that?

>The "Nazi" Problem

Short story: a guy named Wootmaster got really offended over something a bit provocative, got the vulture-ish media on it, then the rest is history.

>The FedEx shooter

Glossing over the "there was no indication that brony culture played a role in the attack" here, ar we?

>Furry Nazies

Relevance. None. End of story.
(Also, Vaush again, see intro)

>Meanwhile, someone needs to start notifying Stables about these dangerous equine predators.

I will write this later. For now, let's just say the results aren't good. And not for Bronies or Horsefuckers, oh no - the stables and horse rescues get hit the hardest.

Section 5 - The End

Back to lacklustre sections, eh? Tom seems completely unaware of G5, and does more of that "clopping bad" thing we've already seen.

CONCLUSION

The research is actually there, though sources are rarely explicitly cited, rather just being fully omitted (ahem, that Reddit post, Kiwifarms, so on). Whenever he has to come up with something that's not in them, instead of searching for an answer, he just either glosses over it or just outright makes mistakes in his video.

FoxAkimbo - The Brony Fandom's UNHINGED Incidents...

Introduction

FoxAkimbo started out his channel by uploading Iceberg videos, similarly to Raymundo. Of course, if you just look at their unusually short lengths for such a format, and compare them to the actual icebergs they're based on, it's not very hard to suspect that this beginning in of itself was an attempt at capitalising on an at-the-time very popular format. Don't think that they were about something he had knowledge in either - the topics range anywhere from Philippines folklore to gaming and animation to bananas.

Regardless, around late 2022, he changed his format into a more clickbait-y, profitable one, which can be described as [Community or platform] [eye-catching word like disturbing, disgusting, terrible, etc.] [topic - accounts, incidents, scandals, future, etc.]. Just as before, practically anything that had even a little popularity at one point or another has a video on it. Bronies and Horsefuckers are no exception - thus, I greet you to "The Brony Fandom's UNHINGED Incidents...".

So, on we go.

Section 1 - Intro and politics

Really starting out strong, eh? So, first and foremost, just as to all the other slopmen before, Bronies and Horsefuckers are one and the same. Regardless, let's look over some claims:
>My Little Pony - Fascism is Magic?!?!
(Neo-)Fascism and (Neo-)Nazism are not the same. If you really want to accuse the Horsefuckers of something of that sort, I hear the media really likes the more general term "alt-right", though "far-right" works just as fine.
>The Atlantic
Gotta call back to the Turkey Tom section here. Remember Wootmaster? Yeah, these are the journalists that he got on to slander the fandom after losing some trivial argument.
>There exists a "racist" tag
Depicting racism and being racist are two different things. If an image depicts an instance of racism, does that make the image itself racist? No.
>Images during the point above
A random macro of Rarity, captioned "I'm about to get racist", and some random image of a small unicorn, captioned "Not too fond of pegasi". The funniest part here is the narration: "This pony paradise [Derpibooru] is tainted with horrible, brutal violence and distasteful arts". Certainly, very fitting descriptions for the images. At the very least, the creator could've shown Anontheanon's image that started it all.
>Three lynchings and a beheading
It's this image, an edit of the aforementioned Anontheanon's image. I guess all the tags that go alongside it, like "OP is trying to start shit" or "edgy as fuck" don't matter? Here's an even simpler solution to avoid such an image - filters.
>Apparently, [starts quoting the article]
Overreliance on one source is never a good idea.
>Aryanne and BLM is a contradiction
Sees cute pony. Likes cute pony. Ignores cute pony's connotations. Dislikes having cute pony deleted. Simple as.
(Alternatively, believes in unrestricted freedom of speech, including one's own pro-BLM opinions and the more right-wing ideas of others)
(Or even simpler, believes in archivalism of any and all pony images)
>It should be noted that Aryanne had apparently been around since 2014, but it was only now that news outlets had noticed her problematic presence.
For a start, not "apparently", but really. Second, not "news outlets had noticed", but "Wootmaster didn't like some image and bitched about it to the media"
>Whether [two opposing conclusions of what had happened], I'll leave that up to you
Translation - I didn't bother to research what transpired afterwards, so go figure it out yourselves.

Short Section 2 - Background info

Let's just get to the chase, eh?
>So, the term Brony is commonly given to an adult man who is a fan of the My Little Pony franchise
See section 1 regarding Raymundo. In short, 1. Bronies may not necessarily be male or adult, and 2. various MLP fans use other terms.
>[...] but come the 2010's, and a lot of male viewers seem to gravitate towards the show
He says, while showing an image that features a female fan.

Section 3 - Trot Along Gone Wrong

This entire section is just this article, which, while mentioned, is done so in such a way that you'd think most of the research here was done by Fox himself. Well, two can play this game, so, here's some replies from a thread made at the time (and also from this one):
>[On the informant] supposedly helping out the SAC anime group... who are also the only group that apparently saw it happen
>apparently this [lady] was representing at SacAnime's table, so this supposed event would have taken place at the convention table line, near registration, outside main events, in the big recessed area in front of god and everyone... or in the packed as hell dealers room where people were even more close in.
>Yeah, how dare bronies attend a convention titled Bay Area Brony Spectacular. I know this is fake as shit anyways, but come on.
>Real fucking cute. It's a crime to not report child abuse in California.
>I was at BABSCon, and security was tight. If security was called in for a situation, they responded in force with LEO's being called to help out. Even with no evidence, a possible pedophile looking for a kid would be enough reason for a security response.
>WAIT SHE DELETED HER TUMBLR (If she was saying the truth, she'd certainly not give in to any doubts on what she's saying, right? Also, this was temporary, the Tumblr works fine now)
>Hold on, BABScon staff is calling it out, she says it was reported, however, and here's a big thing, the SacAnime booth was pretty much right fucking NEXT to ConOps, plus if the FLARE they're talking about is what I think it is, them doing nothing is probably the biggest lie ever.
It just goes on and on. Read the thread for yourselves, I think I've already reposted from there enough.

Short Section 4 - Applejack Snack Attack

A fairly recent story at the time of publishing. Point is - one way to attract traffic to a site (in this case, one of the pornographic nature) that it wouldn't usually get is to get a hold over a pre-existing domain and make it point to your own site. For a similar practise, see cybersquatting. So, in this story, that's what some random Chinese company did, and it just so happened that the random link they decided to target was related to MLP. What does this have to do with Bronies? Go figure.

Short Section 5 - The Convention Confrontation

This event takes place in Everfree Northwest, which is presented here as some ancient and mysterious, barely remembered part of internet folklore. In reality, it is still happening to this day, but research be damned. The entire rest of this section (and video) is a reading of an obscure Tumblr post. Not a single secondary source to be found here. Oh, and this post also "sent shockwaves throughout the MLP community", despite the fact that one can barely find any references to it on the /mlp/ and EQD archives, 6 for the former and 0 for the latter to be exact.

CONCLUSION

If one had to pick the most "this was made just for money and clout" video out of all the ones covered, this is a very good contender. The video set out to cover things that the other videos about Bronies didn't, which is indeed a fairly respectable goal. But instead of actually searching for and finding proper topics to discuss, we get lengthy sections based on a few obscure Tumblr posts. The research is simply "read article, must be true, end of story"; when encountering the precursor to Marenheit and all the alt-boorus, the "plot" is never expanded to include the arguably far more interesting things that came afterwards. When searching for the Everfree Northwest story, it's very easy to stumble across Purple Tinker or something involving Claire Corlett, the voice actress of Sweetie Belle.

In short, I'll just repeat what I said about Raymundo - "he came across an endless treasure trove of content and managed to run out of things to milk".

Other

RoyaltyIsHere - The Degenerate Bronies: Was originally going to be a section of its own. He really only properly covers two events: the whole Stellar Eclipse scandal (DBO mentions it as well, you'll see it in that section once it is complete) and Las Pegasus Unicon 2013 (organisers fucking things up is in no way the fault of the fandom). Other points have already been covered in previous sections. The video itself does seem to have actual effort and research behind it, and takes a more positive outlook on the fandom than other videos discussed, but it is still clearly made merely for profit. He also has a video on Brandon.

To Be Done

Definitely Bored Oranges - I've mostly finished with this section, but I'm suspecting that a large part of the video has been "taken" from somewhere else, or at best, outsourced.
Jenny Nicholson - Work has not yet started. The video garnered a fair amount of attention when it first released, so one can already find several write-ups about its flaws online.
