This fic contains ketchup, unaware and seen by another angle to make it cute but still
  4. 4.
  5. 5.

  6. 6.
    -------------------------------------------------
  7. 7.
    >Once upon a time there was a pony
  8. 8.
    >A pony named Twilight Sparkle
  9. 9.
    >Sometimes she would get over-stressed with all her princess-y chores
  10. 10.
    >So she had an idea, to search for a safe place where she could teleport to and just release
  11. 11.
    >At first she wanted to blow some trees up, unload all her worries with some adrenaline
  12. 12.
    >But what she found after teleporting was beyond anything she could've imagined
  13. 13.
    >A grey surface covered the land for as far her eye could see
  14. 14.
    >Said surface easily cracked upon her arrival, showing the dirt underneath this slim surface, which were similar to rocks
  15. 15.
    >On top of it sat various boxes of varying sizes, lighter shades of grey with semi-transparent squares on them
  16. 16.
    >Curiosity took the best of her and she dared to take a look inside one of them through one of the squares
  17. 17.
    >She couldn't make much of it because of the size
  18. 18.
    >Mostly because there were no lights inside and she blocked the sun herself
  19. 19.
    >With no good angle to look inside she decided to climb on one of them to try and look further into the distance
  20. 20.
    >Maybe she could find the pony responsible for it all
  21. 21.
    >No soon that she started putting her weight on the box it collapsed
  22. 22.
    >With a yelp the mare spread her wings to try and balance herself
  23. 23.
    >Which in turn sent part of the boxes which her wings hit flying
  24. 24.
    >The parts that hadn't taken a direct hit received a massive gust of air which toppled them down as well as some other nearby boxes
  25. 25.
    >The pony just stood there, stunned for breaking such a fine alignment of boxes
  26. 26.
    >Whoever had done this surely did it with great care and she simply came over and broke them
  27. 27.
    >Not only broke but now there was a circle that was over 2 ponies in size all around her with grey smoke coming from the ground
  28. 28.
    >Her OCD kept screaming at her that she should do something to try and fix it somehow
  29. 29.

  30. 30.
    >But then, as the smoke started to dissipate she saw red
  31. 31.
    >Everything here seemed to be in greyscale besides that patch of red
  32. 32.
    >As the smoke vanished she could see even more red from where the buildings stood and around them
  33. 33.
    >There were also very small colored blocks on the ground that she hadn't noticed before
  34. 34.
    >She took a step towards it to inspect further, sending some of the dust back up the air
  35. 35.
    >The ground creaked again where she now stood right on the side of the little box, making it whine lightly and shine some lights in its front and back
  36. 36.
    >This box was yellow and hardly a tenth of the size of the side of her hoof
  37. 37.
    >It also had something even smaller in its front and back, maybe a third of the first box size, one blue and other black
  38. 38.
    >Both were also whinnying apparently and the sound, even if low, was starting to get on her nerves
  39. 39.
    >Then she had an idea
  40. 40.
    >Maybe she was supposed to color the big grey boxes with something the little boxes would give and the red thing from the big ones
  41. 41.
    >So since crushing the big grey ones gave red paint maybe doing the same on the smaller ones would give their respective color
  42. 42.
    >Not wasting time she simply walked over these little boxes, putting a bit more weight on said foreleg just to be sure
  43. 43.
    >Barely after hitting the ground the whiny from them stopped, and internally she was glad that she didn't had to listen to that anymore
  44. 44.
    >But soon after there was an itch, or rather 3 itches on her hoof
  45. 45.
    >Lifiting her leg she saw a perfect shape of her hoof on the obviously very slim rock along with cracks on the sides
  46. 46.
    >There were also 3 crushed boxes on her hoofprints, but no paint
  47. 47.
    >Whoever created this must have a strange sense of humour, how is she supposed to paint it all with only red colour?
  48. 48.
    >Red was also in the grey box that she had to color, so she couldn't simply go and destroy everything to paint one
  49. 49.
    >Deep in thought, she sat down to try and solve this puzzle
  50. 50.
    >She was on the side of the clearing she had made earlier, so it wasn't as dirty at least
  51. 51.

  52. 52.
    >As she sat down she brushed her plot against one of the boxes which made it go out of balance
  53. 53.
    >Twilight only had time to look back before it went down into another
  54. 54.
    >There were a few very, VERY small beings that were in the ground that she hadn't noticed before, which started running after that
  55. 55.
    >Or what seemed like running, they were quite slow
  56. 56.
    >One of them ran to her side, seeking refuge from the dust on the side of her cutie mark as if it was a wall
  57. 57.
    >When the dust finally settled Twilight could finally see the...thing pressed against her
  58. 58.
    >The thing also looked back at her, or at least that s what seemed like, they were about as big as the smallest boxes
  59. 59.
    >Which were 3 times smaller than the yellow box from before
  60. 60.
    >Which were more than 10 times smaller than the side of her hoof front to back
  61. 61.
    >On top of that they stood straight so they had pretty much no area
  62. 62.
    >How a thing this small and slim can live?
  63. 63.
    >Before she could finish her thoughts the thing started to run away
  64. 64.
    >It wasn't long before it fell down after stumbling on one of the massive cracks her butt had made
  65. 65.
    >Massive compared to it that is, what s the point of such a thin rock layer anyway?
  66. 66.
    >Turning her attention back to the creature she extended a hoof to the creature with the intent to grab it
  67. 67.
    >Before reaching though she remembered the boxes and decided against it
  68. 68.
    >Instead she caved a hole into the ground and scooped the rock, the dirt and the creature to her eye level
  69. 69.
    >Even when squinting her eye the being was way too small and thus it was hard to inspect
  70. 70.
    >She did notice that it was curled into a ball for some reason so she tried soothing it, sensing it was probably out of fear
  71. 71.
    >Still as friendly as she tried to look, the tiny being just stood there, as if frozen in that ball stance
  72. 72.

  73. 73.
    >She stood there, looking at it and waiting it move around the rocks and mud she had carved along
  74. 74.
    >Seeing that it stayed immobile she decided to head home
  75. 75.
    >Not barehoofed though, as she teleported everything she had gathered back to her castle
  76. 76.
    >The rock, the creature and even the dirt
  77. 77.
    >At first using her magic on him scared her that it could just make it pop with the pressure
  78. 78.
    >But seeing how it faired well with the teleportation she took the rock and dirt to one side and levitated the creature on her muzzle while heading to the science lab
  79. 79.
    >Maybe she should've taken one of the boxes as well
  80. 80.
    >Still having an uncataloged living being was worth that slip
  81. 81.
    >All she wanted was a break from her duties for once
  82. 82.
    >But now she got some weird thin rock, a test subject and with it a potential new specimen to research in her free time for days
  83. 83.
    >Truly this break couldn't have gone any better
  84. 84.
