>>"Pants? Oh puh-lease! The Great and Powerful Trixie needs no pants, only her burning passion!"
-
>She says with a confident look before shivering and blushing and then looking down at the pavement covered in snow
-
>Her face warps into an almost childlike expression of discomfort before she shakes her head and looks back up at you, her face now confident, with a hint of distress
-
>"Though Trixie thinks it isn't a bad idea to go somewhere more... fitting for her fiery passion!"
-
>She thinks for a moment before shivering again
-
>"Do you have money on you?" She asks, looking at you with guilty puppy eyes
-
>She's done this every winter since you met her
-
>And recently you haven't been feeling up to the task of dealing with her borderline autist-adjacent behaviors
-
>You pull out a crisp 20 and run it past her face
-
"Why don't you get a job? If you're so cold, why don't you get a job?"
-
>She rolls her eyes at you
-
>"Trixie's job is seasonal" she says, blushing and looking away
-
"You say that every year, but I've never seen you working." You joke
-
>"Trixie keeps her work separate from her personal life" she confidently states, before shivering again
-
>"The holidays drain all of Trixie's moolah and she cannot afford to spend money on fruitless investments" Trixie explains, more confident than before
-
"Like pants?" You smugly say
-
>"No. Like hot chocolate that YOU shall be purchasing" she points at you and shivers again
-
-
>You roll your eyes back at her
-
"You say that everything is a 'fruitless investment' whenever we hang out though. Am I a fruitless investment opportunity lender to you? You probably got some money laying around somewhere, right?"
-
>Trixie shakes her head
-
>"As I told you, the holidays can be rough for someone even as great as Trixie." She raises her chin and smugly flatters herself
-
"The Cheap and Bankrupt Trixie strikes again" you sigh
-
>"Plus..." Trixie starts, looking down and away
-
>before immediately stopping
-
>She blushes and shivers before looking back up at you, a lot less cocky than she was previously
-
>"N-nevermind. The cold might be starting affect Trixie somewhat. We should go." Trixie shivers again before beginning to walk away from you
-
>You follow behind before catching up and walking beside her
-
"Same place as last year?"
-
>Trixie nods
-
"Same order as last year?"
-
>Trixie stops walking and puts a finger to her chin before looking up and thinking
-
>She turns to face you with a stoic but thoughtful face
-
>"We shall see." She says as she starts walking again
-
>She also does that every year
-
>Maybe it's because of the winter air
-
>Or maybe it's the holiday season
-
>Where people come together and show off the best of themselves to others
-
>Or the worst parts of themselves
-
>Sometimes intentionally
-
>Getting out of your head, you continue walking and catch up to Trixie and follow beside her for a few minutes
-
>"... Anon?" Trixie breaks the silence
-
-
"Yeah?"
-
>"Trixie doesn't really bother you with her boy problems, does she?" She looks at you with an inquisitive and awkward face, putting a finger to her chin
-
"Not really. I always figured you weren't interested in anyone like that."
-
>Her inquisitive face doesn’t fade, but you notice her eyebrow twitch a little, and her hand drops to her side abruptly
-
>"You're partially correct. Anyway, Trixie also notices you never talk to her about your girl problems... or... boy problems?" Trixie stumbles through her words before blushing
-
"Uh, well, if I did have relationship problems, it'd only really be with a woman. I'm not..."
-
>You blush
-
>It's a stupid question of her to ask, and an even stupider question for you to answer
-
>You clear your throat
-
>Trixie blushes and turns away from you
-
>"B-but if you did, would you come to her for advice?" Trixie asks, not looking at you
-
>You think for a few seconds
-
"I don't see why not. You're pretty much the only girl I know. Though I don't know if your advice would be reliable."
-
>Trixie scoffs and looks at you
-
>"As a woman, Trixie obviously knows what women like" Trixie says, flattering herself with her posture
-
"Yeah, but you aren't any regular woman. So I don't know if you can speak for them"
-
>Trixie is visibly getting more annoyed
-
>"What's THAT supposed to mean?" Trixie says in an accusatory tone
-
"Well, you know, I mean, you're uh..."
-
>Your mind races for the right words
-
"Special... to me"
-
>Trixie's face goes red and her annoyed look warps into that of conflicted...
-
>Happiness?
-
>"Y-you are special... as well..." Trixie stutters, half genuine, half snide
-
-
>You're not sure if she understood what you meant
-
>But regardless, both of you are blushing
-
"You know, I meant like, special as in... possibly autistic and not really that feminine outside of your appearance"
-
>Trixie rolls her eyes
-
>"Just learn to let a woman take what you say as a compliment, anon. Even if you didn’t mean to give them one." She snaps at you and turns away
-
>Ouch
-
>What’s her problem?
-
>You both continue in silence for about 10 minutes until you arrive at your destination
-
>The destination being a flat brown coffee shop whose name is surprisingly relevant to the situation
-
>It's cool beans
-
>There are about 2 other shops closer to where you were at previously but Trixie likes this one because the name is funny
-
>Lucky for you it's cheap and actually pretty good, so her autism doesn’t impact your enjoyment
-
>You approach the door first and open it for Trixie
-
>Trixie by this point is shivering pretty badly
-
>"Such a gentleman. Sometimes..." Trixie half-jokes before entering the coffee shop
-
>You follow behind her
-
>"Ahhh... finally. Trixie is finally able to rest her weary, cold legs in this humble establishment" she announces a bit too loudly
-
>You roll your eyes
-
>She does that every time she enters a building from the outdoors if its hot or cold
-
>She steps in line and you follow behind her before getting next to her
-
>Surprisingly enough the line is a bit lengthy, even for a day like today
-
>Especially since this place usually isn’t that busy most days
-
>You both wait in line for a few seconds before Trixie turns to you and says
-
>"Trixie would like to... thank you for bringing her here. For paying for her as well. And not just this time, but every time... Trixie would love to pay for herself, but it's just hard to help provide for your family while trying to balance school and-"
-
"Don't sweat it. It's really no big deal. You don't have lavish taste anyway. I rarely fork over more than 15 bucks for you."
-
>She smiles
-
>"It means a lot to Trixie..." Trixie says before she blushes and faces the line in front of her
-
-
>Slowly but surely the line shrinks until you two are next
-
>Trixie orders
-
>"A hot chocolate with some cinnamon, please. Make it a little extra sweet too. However you do that." She tells the person at the register
-
>You try your hardest not to show any reaction to her order
-
>You honestly don't even know how they're able to get her order done
-
>You fail and a smug grin gets plastered on your face
-
>Trixie starts
-
>"Your turn an-" she turns to see your snide grin
-
>She rolls her eyes
-
>"Trixie's order is very specific and effective in producing consistent and quality results!!!" She snaps at you
-
>You cant stop grinning
-
>On the verge of laughter you say
-
"Yeah... alright..."
-
>Before ordering for yourself
-
>After ordering, you pay
-
>For both of you its like 8 bucks
-
>Really not that bad
-
>You both sit down at a table and wait for your hot refreshments
-
>In the meantime, Trixie attempts to talk to you again
-
>Though, her demeanor is noticeably different
-
>Less laid back then before
-
>And definitely less uptight
-
>She seems more meek and shy
-
>"So... anon." She says with some hesitation
-
"Yeah?"
-
>"We've known eachother for a while, right?" She asks, looking at you, but not directly, blushing
-
"Yeah."
-
>Oh dear lord
-
>You know exactly what's about to happen
-
>Alright. This is happening
-
>Trixie looks down and exhales sharply
-
>"If it's not... if you... uhm... I-" she cuts herself off
-
>She's starting to breathe faster, and her face is getting redder
-
>She looks down and whispers to herself
-
-
>"You got this Trixie you got this" several times
-
>She looks up at you
-
>Her eyes are fired up and filled with determination
-
>You look into her eyes
-
>And her determination fades into anxiety again
-
>"Tr-Trixie a-and anon... you... uh..." she stops again
-
>She looks like she's about to start tearing up
-
>You shoot her a glance of worry before asking her
-
"Are you ok? You don't have to worry about it so much. I think I know what you're going to say anyway."
-
>Trixie jolts back, tears still forming in her eyes
-
>She quickly enters a defensive posture, her eyes still on the verge of tears
-
>"Ahahaha. No. You couldn't possibly know what the elusive and enigmatic Trixie was going to say. After all you-"
-
"You were going to try and ask me ou-"
-
>"Shh nope nope wrong errrrrr incorrect" Trixie speaks over you, waving her arms about.
-
>Her tears beginning to fully form and her eyes are now significantly glossier than they were before
-
>Trixie stares at you with a pained, saddened look
-
>"Please just... just... I... it wasn't supposed to be like this..." Trixie looks down, dejected
-
>A tear falls from her right eye
-
>And then another from her left
-
>Before she lets out a quick, quiet cry that she quickly tames
-
>She covers her face with her hands and puts her elbows on the table
-
>You hear a few stifled sniffles and breaths
-
>And almost as if your life was a sitcom, your order was ready
-
"Uh... I'm gonna go get our order... ok?"
-
-
>Trixie sobs again and looks away and rubs her eyes as she nods
-
>You walk up to the counter and get your ordered items
-
>You notice the barista is looking at you all funny
-
>You shoot back with a nervous smile and quickly return to your table
-
>When you get there, Trixie is still sobbing, but much less intensely than before
-
>It's really just the sniffles now
-
>She still has her hands on her face though
-
"Trixie?"
-
>She lets out a sad groan, muffled by her sweater
-
>And then she removes her hands from her face
-
>Through her glossy, still slighly tear-filled eyes, she smiles weakly
-
>"Y-yes?"
-
>You put her hot chocolate in front of her before taking your seat at the table
-
>Trixie meekly grabs it and takes a sip
-
>She sniffles a little before declaring
-
>"This place is the best..." quietly but confidently
-
>You take a few sips of you drink
-
"Yeah. Its pretty good."
-
>You always have that exchange every year too
-
>Minutes pass in silence
-
>Before Trixie exhales sharply and starts
-
>"Anon... I just... you mean a lot to me... believe it not, most people find Trixie annoying..." Trixie hangs her head
-
>You smile
-
>You can't imagine why
-
>But it'd be rude to say that out loud
-
>Trixie continues
-
>"But you... you don't seem to mind. Do you?" Trixie looks back up at you, giving you puppy dog eyes
-
>You think for a moment, losing your smile
-
-
>Her face is serious, and her posture is confident, although you can sense some fear in her
-
>After all these years you can't say you've ever been annoyed
-
>There were times you've wished she was quieter
-
>Or that she'd just say what she actually thinks
-
>But it was never really with irritation
-
>You look at Trixie and confidently answer
-
"Not really, no."
-
>Trixie's face goes red and she sighs in relief
-
>Her eyes dart around and she looks all over the place
-
>Before her eyes land sharply on you and she says
-
>"I- I- I-... I can't hide it anymore anon... I can't."
-
>Her face warps into an almost painfully big, bordering on psychotic smile
-
>"I love you, Anon. I'm so insanely in love with you. I think about you all the time. I want to be with you forever. I- I don't care if I sound crazy, I just want you with me forever and... and..." she catches herself
-
>She pauses and her smile and confidence turns into anxiety and fear
-
>"I'm sorry. I didn't mean- well, I did, but I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable I-"
-
>You smile again and whisper
-
"Hot"
-
>Trixie stops
-
>"W-what was that? Trixie couldn't hear you" Trixie asks you
-
>She's staring at you with fearful daggers in her eyes
-
"It's really ok, Trixie."
-
>All of a sudden you find yourself blushing and nervous yourself
-
>How did this little autist say so much?
-
"I... wouldn't mind going out with you."
-
>You look away
-
>This love stuff is no joke
-
>Trixie is silent
-
>After what felt for like forever, you look back at Trixie
-
>She's looking at her cup, her eyes wide and her mouth in a neutral closed position
-
>She looks like she's been reprogrammed or something
-
>You take a sip of your drink while looking at her
-
>Should you say something?
-
>You should probably say something
-
-
"Uh... Trixie?"
-
>You wave your hand in front of her face
-
>She snaps out of it and looks at you before blushing
-
>"Oh I'm sorry I was just... uhm... I'm not going to lie... I was fantasizing about us" She confesses, averting her gaze
-
>That could mean a lot of things
-
>You blush too
-
"W-what about us?"
-
>Trixie wears a warm smile on her face
-
>"U-us going on dates... h-holding hands... kissing... getting married and being together forever... and getting more hot chocolate with you in the future..." she smiles at you with a warmth that you can't resist
-
>You blush
-
"That's... nice..."
-
>She dotingly giggles and starts running a finger on the table
-
>"S-so what now...?" She asks
-
"I don't know... this has never happened to me before."
-
>"Well... T-trixie's never been in a relationship before..." She nervously states
-
>You both awkwardly look around and sometimes your eyes meet
-
>When they do, you both blush and look away again
-
>This happens for awhile before Trixie confidently and smugly looks at you
-
>"C-couples kiss... do you want to...?" Trixie averts her gaze and blushes, looking as if she'd said something wrong
-
"S-sure... yeah."
-
>"O-ok..." Trixie moves in for a kiss over the table
-
>So do you
-
>Trixie closes her eyes as her puckered lips approach yours
-
>However, you don't do the same
-
>You pucker your lips
-
>Right before your lips touch, you feel an impact on your nose
-
>Trixie makes a noise as she flinches back a bit from the impact on her nose
-
>Both of your noses hit eachother
-
>You both sit down and look at eachother awkwardly
-
>"Ahah well... uh, we tried... we'll practice doing it p-properly later..." Trixie says as she rubs her arm with the opposite hand, looking down
-
"Yeah... sorry."
-
>"It's ok... we'll kiss a lot more soon... right?" She asks, looking back up at you
-
"Of course."
-
>Trixie smiles
-
>"I really, really, really, really, rea-"
-
>You motion for her to move on
-
>"Hehe... I really love you, anon." She beams
-
"I know. I l-love you... too"
-
>You hate how that made you blush
-
>Trixie giggles and her smile shakes and tears form in her eyes
-
>"I-it feels like Trixie's waited forever to hear those words come from you..."
-
>Now's your chance to maybe start taking the lead
-
"K-kept you waiting, huh?"
-
>Nailed it
-
>Trixie smiles and giggles before blushing
-
>"You sure did... b-but hopefully, it was worth the wait..."
-
>She pauses and averts her gaze before her eyes return to yours
-
>"Thanks... and have fun."
